How To Cut The Roof Shingles On A Gable Roof

Nothing beats that classic American style gable roof with Roof Shingles.
Those clean and straight lines are simply amazing.
When installing roof shingles, you need to pay close attention to how you cut the excess shingles from the gable. The last thing you want is crooked lines!

Not a pro here - I have an old, trash circular saw and used that. Put a nice clean edge on the roof. I did use a chalk line because I don't trust the old mark 1 eyeball.

Clean and precise? Clearly the close up at 3:25 shows its jagged as a third grader trying to cut on a dotted line. You need a longer stratigraphy edge and a sharper knife.
