This resin is extremely compelling. I have a collection of broken models that need to be glued back together, this could potentially save me a ton of headaches.
@@MiniatureHobbyist perhaps with the feedback and your testing, the company will come out with a resin mix for printing good mini's that won't shatter on a drop.
Haven’t seen anyone print pure Tenacious yet. This is the stuff that everyone recommends you mix 10-15% into your normal resin, just to prevent prints from breaking too easily. Haven’t used any resin without mixing this in first. Buy the clear one and you can add it to any colour resin.
i know people used to add 1/4 of this stuff or 1/2 of this stuff in their other resins to give them more durability and less breakage. i dont know many who use it as is.
@@MiniatureHobbyist Most of the people around me are doing 9:1 regular to the tenacious and that seems to work well. I just got my first bottle of this stuff to try, but it seems to work like a champ in the mix with the people in my area. Good luck, great vid
Ive been on the fence of getting a printer of my own, but this pwrhaps mixed with other more firmer resin might be the key. I love minis i buy on game stores as thwy dont shatter if dropped. And thats what i want for printed resin minis, especially for dnd or hero / Warhammer quest
@@MiniatureHobbyist I'm working on using your painting method, however all I can afford (right now) is the same paint I use for terrain. What is your advice on using them for similar results? How thin should make them?
@MiniatureHobbyist yes that's what happens with some plastic. A dip of watered down PVA sometimes works. I would like to get a 3d printer maybe some day
Siraya tech abs-like vs elagoo abs-like vs anycubic abs-like vs rpg resin vs wargame resine. If there's a difference, price and resolution. It would be nice to know
I have tried a lot of abs resins from a variety of companies and they all work well, theu cost more than normal resin but worth it as they break less, try out the siraya tech one as that is awesome
For real starting to hate this Channel... it getting only around painting g not painting anymore. Ive preffered when u create some minis from molds by your hands... I know there is still painting but not that much like before
@@MiniatureHobbyist i can understand that but I think its to much about printing and not enough about painting... I miss those days... those challenges... like minę in book... I love that one, or sprue burger:)
@@dawidlafert8238 Ahh yeah I still have that book beside my bed, the thing these days is I get sponsored to make videos ith printers/resins and laser engravers so I use them to make things 🙂
I feel similarly, I wouldn't ever say "hate" because every youtuber is entitled to change artistic directions all they want. Just that so much publicity around printers makes crafting and painting seem to take a back seat IMO. Regardless of personal preference though, best of luck on future videos.
wow, this resin would work so well to print 2-part molds for infantry/terrain/vehicles and cast them in cheaper casting resin!
That is completely bonkers - gotta try that resin
Wow! I’d love to see some of those tenacious minis primed and painted
Thanks for the info and for saving me time.
Im glad I can be of help 🙂

For the right project this stuff is amazing, its like a chewy sweet, its so bendy 🙂

I wonder if you could make parts for the house with this resin like the rubber ring you put in water pipes to seal them.
How awesome 👍👍
Cheers 🙂

Intriguing stuff. I'm going to get some. thanks
It really is amazing stuff 🙂

Ahh that makes a lot of sense, its too bend on its own for miniatures but mixed it might work well 🙂

90% sunlu abs and 10% tenacious makes a great mix for miniatures that is both durable and maintains proper resolution.
Super awesome
Its fun stuff 🙂

Yeah Im going to do some tests and mix this with abs resin, results should be good 🙂
@@MiniatureHobbyist cool I look forward to seeing that video.

Any small scale printed 20mm. Bendy Rifles and the such.
i🙂t would probably work but paint will come off when it bends

Abs resins are fragile and breaks easy. Best choice are flexible ones like the one in the video or anycubic flexible though

@@JosephPlissken I dunno what ABS resin you are using, but my Anycubic ABS is durable AF. Way more durable than the basic ones.
Is this considered a UV resin? I don't have a 3d printer but I'm very interested in a flexible UV resin
All resins used in SLA 3D printing are UV resins.
❤🤘🔥👍
Cheers bud 🙂
What about a dice set in the mix, hopefully with your face? 😂
Haha yeah, that might would work well 🙂
Great for. Making minis if you’re going to be playing with kids. Less likely they will break them
yup these things will bounce of the wall lol 😂
Yeah.... like rubber. BUT....... what happens if you paint miniatures and bend them, whats happenng to the paintjob?
Do you bent plastic miniatures?. If now why would you bent 3D printed ones?
And if you bent them the paint will crack
yeah thats why I say I wouldnt paint miniature's with this as it wikl flake off eventually
@@JosephPlissken It's just like dropping them: no one does it on purpose, but they're still worried.
