    It’s incredibly comfortable and wearable. The contrast between the dial, markers and hands provides fantastic legibility. Overall, this is an outstanding sports watch - I take people’s points on the lack of a lume pip, but IMO having one would undermine the sleek aesthetic.

      Good day sir, heard about the ceramic casing being brittle and fragile and would break easily. Wanted to buy this piece as a daily watch, is it really that fragile and vulnerable while wearing it? Need your kind advice. Much appreciated!

    Little warning, mine broke within a month and they “need parts” to fix it. It’s been three weeks already. We’ll see. If the delay means sending it back for a METAS then it’s fair enough but I doubt that is the case. Cheers

    I really like this release. Although there are a couple things they could have done that would have put it over the top for me. The lume dot on the bezel would have been nice and it really would have been nice for the Clasp and bezel to be DLC coated instead of PVD coated.

    There're reports of this watch failing just after 2-3weeks of usage recently which most likely due to the impact of METAS testing. METAS testing is extremely rough and they are the strictest institute. So the Tudor BB Ceramic may gone throught all the testing and even pass the result but it can't last till the usage of a consumer. So Tudor has a lot of homework to do if they want to keep up this METAS certification thing.

      It happens on all watches from affordable to high end. Trust me I have had a few problems with watches in the past. But it is not something that can not be fixed and its under warranty. At the end of the day they are mechinical toys. Just because a youtuber purchased one that had a problem doesnt mean that all of them have the same problem. It is just he has posted it on his channel. It can happen to anything you purchase like cars.and TVs, ipads etc.. I have a few tudors and one which has been left by my grandfather and they have never had a problem.

    • @horologywatchmaking13
      @horologywatchmaking13 3 года назад +10

      @@richardman28 i work in the watch industry so it's not just because of one youtuber. Didn't know someone posted on social media. I received the reports via company. Tudor thought they can succeed in METAS easily but unfortunately they still need a lot of researching to do. Yes just send back for the warranty but it won't go through METAS anymore when claiming the warranty. The point is METAS testing is extremely rough and not to be taken lightly of.

      @@horologywatchmaking13 that's very interesting to know. I have not had a problem with mine. Spoke to my AD who has a Tudor and Omega boutique and not heard of such problem. • @richardman28

    I have been purchasing alot of Tudor watches in the last 2 years. I find them fun and in the last few releases it is Rolex experimenting with different materials and metals in the Tudor brand to test the market. Something they will not do with the Rolex models (why change something that works). So when this came out I obviously purchased one on release date. Paid up and awaiting delivery. I have been in to see my AD and have tried one on which belongs to the boutique for show, and it looks and feel great. First metas certified Tudor watch, in the bigger case size (I prefer as I have the GMT and the BB58 navy for comparison), open case back, some ceramic and a cool looking strap and at a reasonable affordable price. What is there not to like? BTW, its not limited edition but it is limited supply.

    Great review as always. My only concern with a ceramic case is the durability of the material. That watch is designed to be a sports watch, but how strong is the ceramic material if you accidentally hit something.

    • @richardman28
      @richardman28 3 года назад +2

      That would be the least of your concern. Ceramic is one of the hardest materials used in watches. However, all watches in all materials will have wear and tear. They will not stay brand new forever, especially if you wear them alot. Scratches and dinks create history and memories. That's what we buy watches for right? It shouldn't be sat in a draw or safe and never be worn. Enjoy your watch. You work hard to have it on your wrist..
