My father gifted me the same watch but with roman numerals. I'll cherish it forever because it's the watch he wore as he worked hard every day to put food on the table for us, when I wear it I am constantly reminded how hard he worked to give a better life for my mom and I and how I should work hard too to take care of my family as well ❤ Thanks for covering this amazing watch!
Something we sometimes take for granted, with RUclips being a part of our everyday lives, is production values. These videos have a great deal of polish. Excellent fit and finish. Always happy to get a notification of new content being posted. Many thanks.
Glad to see you back with a Tudor Date-Day! Your videos back in the day convinced me to buy a 1979 Prince Oysterdate and have worn it daily ever since. Hope you enjoy the new purchase and keep up the great content!!
Congratulations on a beautiful pickup! I have also considered consolidating my collection and appreciate your insight. You were an inspiration in watch collecting, now a trendsetter in decreasing a collection! You are now my wife's favorite watch channel. 🤣
I'm wearing my grandfather's seiko day date style watch from 1971 during your show. Mucho amor keep the videos coming! I appreciate your time in making your reviews.
Great video. Since your "done collecting" video my collection has gone from 30 to 19. I've been absolutely purging watches on eBay. I did use some of the funds to buy my first breitling witch I love. Keep going TGV !! Can't wait to see you collection evolve
👏👏👏 Please keep me updated, I would love to hear more about your collection journey. Hang in there too my friend and good luck with the purge! Thank you for sharing that. Best regards, TGV

You were the first to introduce me The Passion of collection and watchmaking and I can't tell you how grateful I am for your videos and your tag team videos with Mark. I have 15 watches now cama plan to go no more than 20. And I know what I like. You are the one who taught me how to how to do that and be respectful of the history behind everything we see. If you want to reduce your collection, that's perfectly fine with me. I know that all the watches I like in my collection give me some of those same feelings and you're the one who was instrumental in that. Keep the ones you love and enjoy.
I really support your slimming down journey man. I'm not in quite as bad a place, but I definitely have too many watches and I want to stop thinking about "the collection" so much. Your goal of getting down to four or so is inspiring to me... time to start selling things.
Dear TGV, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you. You have played a pivotal role in igniting my passion for watch collecting three years ago. It all started with my very first timepiece, the legendary Seiko SKX0009, which still holds a special place in my collection. Just last week, a lifelong dream of mine came true as I acquired my first Rolex Datejust 16220 from 2006. I'm only twenty years old, but your impeccable style and unwavering dedication to the world of watch horology have already left an indelible mark on me. Your influence will undoubtedly resonate with future generations to come. Your work is truly admirable, and I can't thank you enough for the invaluable knowledge and joy you bring to watch enthusiasts like myself. I hope to continue enjoying your captivating content for many more years to come. Best regards, Jona
Thank you so much Jona, you just made my evening. Congrats on the DJ, and the still having the SKX. Hearing this form a 20 year old gives me hope for the future. Enjoy the new watch. Outstanding choice. Onwards and ever upwards my friend. 🥂😎 The very best regards, TGV
Congratulations on the Datejust! I am a similar age and couldn't agree with your words more. Recently picked up a BB58 and have owned an SKX in the past! Take it easy and enjoy the new piece! Dudley
You sir, do such great work. As if it's any surprise, you constantly out do yourself and continue to produce the best quality content. You're educated and well thought out writing is immersive, humorous, thought provoking, and enlightening. You bring humility and honesty to the messy and crazy hobby that is, collecting more watches than one needs. You're a guiding light, thank you and cheers.
TGV, you deserve a cameo in the next Bond film, minimum, with the quality of your content. Plus your channel was pivotal in me making my first non-Casio, entry level luxury watch purchase in a SARB 033. Thankyou for all you do. RESPECT 🙌
T, Super classy, meaningful and iconic new intro. I have not doubt, your grandfather would be very proud of your treatment of the family name/crest. Keep up the great content.
Sitting There with a Classic timepiece and reading the odessa file 😊 now that is really nice!!!! I like your music in the background, too. Like new wave electronic music. Awesome stuff 🎉
I wish you nothing but the best on your new journey TGV. You’ve taught me a lot and I’m grateful for that. Hope you continue to review watches and their brands history though. You’re the best channel for the history behind brands and specific watches. 💯
This was a great episode with many aspects and thoughts that I can subscribe to 100 percent. Thank you and congrats to one of the best Tudors until now.
Hi TGV, Very happy for you that you were able to reaquire the Prince. Best of luck in your pursuit to reduce your collection. My perfect 3 watch collection is now a perfect 5 watch collection 😊. As you have said yourself " Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in". LOL. Best regards, John
Love the content as always! your energy and enthusiasm is great. Requesting a video for understated, lowkey watches that doesn't scream 'status signalling' but still stylish and functional
Nice video! Your videos have way to my watch bug bite in 2016, and you inspired me to pull the trigger on my own prince date day over 3 years ago, my first mid range watch. I’ve daily’d it ever since without any new acquisitions since it is just too perfect. Hope to see you around philly sometime if you’re still here!
What's that old saying, "announcing your plans is the best way to make God laugh" just when you are on track a new watch comes out 😆 I know how you feel though. When I got my Doxa Sub300 Sea rambler earlier this year I felt like my collection was where I wanted it to be. All that was left was a grail piece that would take a ton of saving and maybe a lucky deal on the Bay of something I'd been keeping an eye out for. Then all of a sudden Doxa releases a Clive Cussler tribute watch and I'm up in arms trying to make the budget work. Even my watches that don't get much wrist time I find it hard to part with. That's why I've been trying to plan towards some sort of endgame, some final piece of the puzzle in my collection. It's just so hard when new releases like the new Aquastar 60 offer such an enticing product. Good with your collecting luck my friend.
Bravo meastro tutti bravissimi. . So sitting here in my garden just south of Glasgow, sipping coffee bathed in sunshine with an alpinist on my wrist life is good , Tgv . When a new vid from your urban gentry pops up , I think we all have a long sigh of relief , Ahh this will be a breath of fresh air , so far removed from commercial channels and sponsored sycophants And it's "style" like climbing mountains , style is important , you can join a huge commercial expedition and be guided up everest , and yes this is a fantastic achievement, but for those who climb "alpine' style there will always be a special place for those individuals "Rhinehold Messner"
TGV it's always a pleasure to experience your enthusiasm on an unboxing. I simply cannot believe you will manage to get your collection down to only 4 watches at this stage in my collection arc. At the moment, mine is heading in the other direction, somewhat under the influence of your excellent videos, which I cannot believe I have been watching since I started collecting around the time of the covid crisis of 2020. For my part, I think 7 is the perfect number. One watch change every day, covering most of the major complications and styles. As it happens, my most recent acquisition was also a Tudor, the unobtanium ivory dial Black Bay Panda Chrono, which the AD made me wait around a year for. It's one beefy chap of a watch!
It's interesting how many of us go through the same watch hobby arc. I got into the hobby just over a decade ago and have probably bought and sold around 30 watches in that time. I peaked at around 15 total at one time. In the last 3 years I have slowly winnowed it down to 2 which are the most meaningful to me and have never been happier. TBH I may add a third in the next year or so just for a little variety, but could never see myself going back to more than that.
Same. Im down to a few vintage watches, a dress watch, a stainless Maurice Lacroix because I love the style and finish, and my grail watch, my white gold Rolex Day Date. I have no desire to get any more, but if I ever do they'll be vintage watches because they're more meaningful to me. I was close to 20 watches at one point; but buying relatively affordable modern watches lost all meaning. It felt as meaningless as buying a new shirt.
Congrats on a lovely Tudor. As for me, Tudor was my first luxury watch. I own a BB58, black/gilt, on a variety of straps. Tudor certainly got this one "right" as I prefer wearing it over my Starbucks Sub. I will never sell it and will leave it to my son. Every time I wear it, I feel like the "true" James Bond - Sean Connery. Cheers!
Referencing The Big Lebowski, DS9, Warcraft 2, and the Half Life Soundtrack?!? In another life you and I would have been the best of friends lol. Wonderful episode, great job!
Your Prince is absolutely stunning! I especially liked your comments regarding the ETA movements. To obtain the most authentic of Tudor watches, I feel the ETA Tudors are a must. In-house movements just don’t do anything special for me, regardless of the brand. I admire the sensibility and practicality of getting ETA’s serviced much more readily and with less cost. If given a choice, I would almost always go with a vintage watch over a modern design, but that’s just me. Superb content as always! Thank you!🥃
Semi off topic, but I absolutely swore I'd never own a Panerai. Those ghastly looking monstrosities on a wrist. Nope, not me. But, I kept seeing them on watch enthusiast wrists over and over. Over time I started warming up to them the more I saw them, but still never desired to have my own. As more and more time passed, I finally decided to try one on, bought it on the spot, and hardly wear any other watch I own over my Luminor. I tend to dress more casually and the Panerai just fits better with my lifestyle and I absolutely love it. It might not have the same "flex" as other brands, but I like that it's an "if you know, you know" kind of watch.
I have used this 38 mm tudor royal diamond watch for more than 1 year, running very accurately, the error is not more than 05 seconds for 02 months. It's elegant, easy to wear, and reasonably priced
There's so so so much to be said for a small collection!! I have just 3 watches: Rolex Oyster Perp 41mm (green), a G Shock B5600 and a vintage Victorinox Cavalry. Never been happier before. I went from 30 watches down to 3 and it's less stressful and you get to spend more quality time (no pun intended) with your watch. Cheers TGV!
The Casio exception rule is a must! I can't imagine myself not having at least a couple of Gs (let's say a square a an oak) and a couple of vintage digital Casios (one black resin and one chrome coated) as I do wear these a lot. Otherwise I think going for the 3-5 watch collection from 30 is a good and challenging route. Looking forward to your future videos.
We all started w/ Timex & G shocks didn't we. Collectors know its about the experiences u have when wearing these watches. I might not cherish my 40$ watches as much as my 8k$ watches but I still wear them from time to time.
Thank you very much for the video. I had a watch for all occasions. I never did all occasion’s often haha. It finally clicked then I moved them on and I’m down to 5 including my smart watch 🙌🏾 I’m enjoying the main two more!
Having recently majorly downsized my own collection, I have a dan henry 1964, an 2012 Aquaterra with the teak dial and currently a empty slot in the watch box, I have been lusting after the stainless prince date with white roman numeral dial for a while and this video has helped me make up my mind to save the extra few pounds to get one and not just get an impulse or stopgap purchase. I think once I have the tudor that will be me done, they are all the watches I will ever need. All strap monsters and all versatile has hell. Grazie mille for your content Tristiano 🙏
Best introductions on all of RUclips! Take your talent to the Big Screen. I have a Tudor Day-Date in my collection and it’s a conversation starter anytime I wear it. Mush success on the quality downsizing journey.
I love the Black Bays even though they're popular, but I want to see what Tudor's design team comes up with if they aren't forced to lean so heavily on their history. After all, if they don't release new designs now, what will they have to rerelease in another 50 years?
I really like your room set up. As the big lebowski says that rug really ties it all together.😂 And the clock looking things on your desk near the lever lamp looks awesome😂
I have a 2005 tudor 76213 in mint state with all paper work, box all like new. glad to see it getting some recognition as I think it as a stunning watch. thanks for the informative video.
T, the opening reel is on another level (also spotted something that made me smile) . You're intros are the best in the business for sure. In other news I do not believe a word of it re condensing your collection. Why you lie? 😂😂😂. Best as always. Matthew
This is a classic production and hits all the vital points of both Tudor and Rolex ownership, whilst I despise what contemporary Rolex stands for I still cherish my vintage DJ and YM, they both keep better time than my Tudor BB GMT. Thanks Guv’nor!
In relation to your question. Tudor has hit the right price point for their quality of watches. They are better relating to their customers than others. The new rollout of certification clearly shows they stand by their products and go beyond most. I'm looking forward to what's ahead. Unfortunately, I'm just a newborn to the bug, but Tudor all the way. Great video👍
Dear TGV, two of my favorite watches are of recent vintage Tudor Black Bay watches. First, is the Black Bay GMT with an Oyster Style Bracelet. Second is a first generation Black Bay Chronograph with a black face and a stainless bezel again with an Oyster Style Bracelet. What particularly drew me to the brand is as follows: Size - at 40 to 41mm in size, the watch looks good on my rather large wrist. COSC Certification - while not as tight in tolerance to the Rolex, my Tudor keeps very accurate time. Style - I believe the style to be enduring. Movements - Both BB have In-house movements (the Chrono having a column wheel escapement movement co-developed with Breitling B01 movement to be modified by Tudor). Water Resistance - with screwdown crowns, the water resistance is very respectable. Lastly, Value - Tudor costs less than 1/2 the price of the more pretentious Rolex. For all of these reasons, the Tudor Black Bay's are respectable and a pleasure to wear.
As ever, sage advice. I have certainly become much more selective in my collecting. I already know which I want in and which will be heading out and the latter outweighs the former. But I am still someway off contemplating a small, select personal collection. I wonder if I will reach that point? Congratulations on your Tudor. Enjoy 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I do love my Tudor (BB Pro) because of its retro looks combined with modern functionality. I would suggest that it is precisely that combination of characteristics that attract me to Tudor.
Congrats on revisiting a new/old friend, so to speak. I guess this one is here to stay this time. As with the watch collection reduction.. been trying... All i can say is sometimes you have to go up in order to come down. That being said, i have finally purchaed a Tudor recently. Hopefully early next week. It's not vintage, but, oh so cool.
Very profound and true advice my friend, thank you as always. It makes me happy to see you in the comments, I really appreciate the loyal support all years. O&U Best regards, TGV
@@theurbangentry always a pleasure to see your videos. Probably one of the first and continued subscribed channels when I started getting back into watches (6-7 years ago?) and re-educating myself in the hobby. I'd say the lasting residual effects of your channel, and some others, has been the current inclusion of watches from Seiko, Sinn and soon to be first Tudor amongst others. Stay cool and keep the quality content coming.
TGV just go full Mark with drawers full of watches! 😂 I think collecting goes beyond practicality and he who collects does so because he loves it, not because he needs to, and the size of the collection is proportional to the love, so yours can be bigger than most people's 😊 Having said that, my goal size is 5, when it could be 2. I love watches but not THAT much, and even though my grail (moonphase speedmaster) is more expensive than my car I still love it and want to get it someday and keep it forever.
Congratulations on reaching a new checkpoint on your journey. I’m actually at the complete opposite end. If I had the funds, I would purchase ten new watches a week. But I’m realistic enough to know I will one day be where you are. I just hope watches interest you enough for you to keep talking about them. Cheers!
wow. I haven't seen you in a while. I forgot how enjoyable you are! I hear what you are saying about Tudor. I think you made me like them more now. Yes they are moving away from Rolex and as a brand, that I feel, you are actually paying for quality over a brand name that really excites me. Keep putting out these quality video's. And Hazlacha (good luck) with getting that collection down.
love this channel ,looks at low to high end quality watches . Honest reviews , and some interesting watches . Then you mentioned the king Seiko my fave watch . 👍
Right now I´ve got 3 watches that are definitely there to stay for the foreseeable future: The Speedy, the Sinn 556i and the G-Shock (or Casio beater of some kind) plus two watches I inherited from my uncle. Maybe a new mid-range diver (Squale...?) and that could consolidate my collection medium-term. Which would also mean that 3 Seikos had to go. 🤔 Not an easy process to start, but for sure something that helps to appreciate the keepers.
I'm gonna be a bad influence here and recommend buying a squale. The case design on the 50 atmos is phenomenal. At 41.5mm diameter and 500 meters water resistance to only be 13mm thick and be as comfortable and wearable as it is is nothing short of arcane. And the bright vibrant dials with the highly polished chapter rings are stunning.
By the time I'll get my hands on the 556i the bracelet version will probably cost more than 1500 eur and I will reconsider my grail watch. Maybe I should just wait and save more and go straight for the GS without experiencing the Sinn. 🤤
@@zibel5007 I bought it in 2019 on a strap (not much of a bracelet guy) for 860 Euros (3 percent off RRP). It´s a great watch, but not a bargain anymore with the price increases.
@@mitchaelhollingsworth1698 My favorite is the Sub-39. Small wrist (6.25 in) and I love the vintage-inspired design. But thanks for sharing your experience.
@@klausm5460 cheers. I am a big fan of the sub 39, the crown is really cool and well, crownlike, and the little red accents add a bit of fun. And i like the profile of the rounded lugs, and a domed crystal is always nice. If i didnt already have another navy blue diver i would have seriously considered buying one. Although i still dont know if i would opt for the sub 39BL or the sub 39RD. On the 50 atmos vs the sub 39 front, my wrist is 16cm, which i think is pretty similar to yours, so if you were hypothetically interested in a 50 atmos it would probably fit well. I think the lug to lug distance for both the sub 39 and the 50 atmos cases is 48mm despite the different case diameter. Anyways wish you all the best.
I JUST picked up a 76213 with the linen dial. As a two-tone, it’s drastically different from my other sport watches but I really love it. It’s a strap monster, but it’s factory bracelet is also very comfortable. I’m interested in what after market bracelet you’ll get.
amazing. One day ill be able to have an nice collection like yours. I'm enjoying a g shocks, Casio Royale, a seiko samurai, with sapphire, and a nezumi . cheers brother. enjoy your videos. very educational and makes me enjoy my watches a lot more.
Love the video opening. Not sure if that is new or very recent but whatever the case, very slick. I have that same Matchbox Auburn on my desk by the way. I bought it at the gift shop of a local transportation museum back in the 70s (long since closed) and have managed to hold onto it all these years. Nice little toy, made in England IIRC. Getting to the subject at hand, my two favorite watches are a recent Tudor Pelagos LHD and my dad's 1969 Tudor Oyster Prince Date+Day, 7020/0, aka Jumbos. At 38mm, it is a rather modern-sized watch from back in the day. Especially considering that the equivalent Rolex Day-Date was noticeably smaller at 36mm. My dad bought it in 1970 at the Navy Exchange in Subic Bay, Philipines, wore it for about a month, and then packed it up with his stuff and forgot about it until 2015 when he rediscovered it and gave it to me. I had it serviced and have been wearing it ever since in heavy regular rotation. I wear it at least 3 times a week, along with my Pelagos, an assortment of 90s-era Hamilton chronos, and various Sinn watches.
Thank you so much for another watch unboxing! I really like your idea of scaling your watch collection down in order to have less clutter and have a few really fantastic timepieces instead of many mediocre watches. A high quantity of mediocre watches will never feel fully complete in your watch collection unlike a few really special timepieces that mean more to you since they were your dream collection! Thank you again! Stay healthy and well as always! (Nick L) ❤❤❤🦖🦖🦖🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video and awesome watch! I own the one with the linen dial and I‘ll love it. May I ask which aftermarket bracelet you chosen. Thanks and keep the good work going.
Good goal TGV. I went through dozens of watches since 2017. Mostly to discover my preferences. I now have 7 left and wouldn't want less or more watches.
Tudor S&G’s are really nice. I’ve always liked them. Although I’ve added them to my shopping cart many times, I just can’t make myself hit the checkout button. I always end up going a more “relaxed” or “casual” with what I buy. Nice watch man…enjoy it.
I own a 36mm Rolex President. Love the day date functions and just bought a new rose gold black dial Tissot Couturier. A beauty but wish it was 38mm vs 40.
Lovely piece indeed sir, been looking at that very model for a while now. Really love it’s stylistic “ bang for the buck”. Wishing you well to wear it. Onwards and upwards.👏
Hey man love your stuff! Looking to get a Tudor Prince Date-Day and want to switch out for a 3rd party bracelet as well. Was curious what company you went with?
As valiant an effort as you may think a small watch collection may be, I just don't think it's right for you TGV. First of all, you'll never ever part with your Tudor Sub, your Cartier Santos, your Rolex Pepsi, your Explorer, your Paneri, that's 5 watches right there that don't even include your numerous design collaborations. You're a watch enthusiast...embrace that and enjoy a sizable collection my friend...and to quote the late Liberace...too much of a good thing is WONDERFUL!!!!
Have sold everything except for a Casio and an Apple Watch (I know). I’ve been collecting and wearing and selling for 30 + years…and I always learn from your videos. Amazing work. I want to find something (or maybe two things) I’ll enjoy wearing and keep. For now, they’re all gone…just sold my SKX this month. Sad for that one. . I watch your videos more now than ever. Keep up the great work. Appreciate any ideas! Ha!
Best of luck in paring the collection down! I was at two dozen a few years ago and now keep it to 8 timepieces and find myself happier for it. Although, I'll be in Japan very soon and may have to go to 9, at least temporarily!
I bought a 4 watch box and that's all I'll ever own. That way my choice is intentional, considered and i can invest in doing things whilst wearing my watches, deepening the ownership experience, rather increasing the ownership number 😁 1) Hamilton Khaki Field Auo = First ever automatic. Love it. 2) G-Shock "CasiOak" = First hype watch and carefree casual vibes. 3) G-Shock GW-5000U = Pipped for my Nepal holiday, climbing, casual and general indestructibility. 4) Tudor BB54 = First luxury watch, a personal & career milestone piece and GADA that I intend to wear daily, when I marry, become a parent and until the day I pass it on. Tudor 100% nailed the BB54 👍
TGV old chap. An absolutely wonderful piece. Classic and timeless. The best two tone I have seen by far. I think you have made a very wise choice. Onwards and upwards old chap.
I’ve started doing the same, downsizing my collection. This year I have sold around 22 watches, mostly on eBay, but bought about 6 😂 My favourite purchase this year was my new Tudor BB GMT S&G Rootbeer which I love
was quite surprised, interesting choice... personally would never swap the bracelet, love that gold with polished and brushed all together. ya just never really see that
I would NEVER buy this type of Tudor, it is just not my style but I love your story and why you bought it. And it is a great watch for you. And that is why you have to buy a watch, because you love it and it match your taste and desire. Forget about other ppl and if they try and push your desire in their direction. Good for you, you got this watch, the feelings for each watch you talk about is the key for me as well. I have a few watches, but those I have, they fit me, my personality and I love to wear all of them. (All 5) And my next watch is either a Tudor or Panerai (Zenith is still too far away for my wallet).
I'm down to 4 watches, from a high of over 200. It makes the decision making of what to wear on a given day much easier.
👏👏👏 Wow, that takes balls, focus and discipline, you have my respect Mike, thank you.
O&U!

Does that include G-Shocks? Or have you enacted the “Casio Exception”?
Now that is a great question! I need to think about that one!
@@chriscon8463the casio exception is a rule of life. One pilot. One dive. One chrono. And a shit ton of casio

Same here, I love your attitude and disposition it led to my own love of horology for sure.
Congratulations on the Datejust! I am a similar age and couldn't agree with your words more. Recently picked up a BB58 and have owned an SKX in the past! Take it easy and enjoy the new piece!

The quality of your productions keeps increasing. A joy to “watch” !
Hello TVG
Nice to see you still at it producing great content.
Can't wait to see this as I just got my latest Tudor as well!! Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks, TGV.
Since getting the tudor pelagos 39 it's all I worn... feel like my collection is gathering dust haha
Oh man, congrats! Really cool looking watch. Tudor is back!
Love Tudor ,didn't even know they made that model.
Love the content as always! your energy and enthusiasm is great. Requesting a video for understated, lowkey watches that doesn't scream 'status signalling' but still stylish and functional
I own the linen dial version with the fluted bezel and can't imagine ever parting with it. Appreciated the video.
Drooling over that Panerai, great photography and production with this one TVG!
When a new vid from your urban gentry pops up , I think we all have a long sigh of relief , Ahh this will be a breath of fresh air , so far removed from commercial channels and sponsored sycophants
And it's "style" like climbing mountains , style is important , you can join a huge commercial expedition and be guided up everest , and yes this is a fantastic achievement, but for those who climb "alpine' style there will always be a special place for those individuals
"Rhinehold Messner"
Your downsizing in quantity, in the same hand, gaining a personal wealth of appreciation in the true meaning of horology and its rich history.
I wasn't expecting to hear the word 'verisimilitude' today ❤, great vid.
Cheers!
It’s a very nice piece of jewelry! That perfect color combo in my honest opinion! Great video my friend!
✌🏼😎👍🏼
Referencing The Big Lebowski, DS9, Warcraft 2, and the Half Life Soundtrack?!? In another life you and I would have been the best of friends lol. Wonderful episode, great job!
Big Congrats TGV-It's a classic beauty!
Cheers TGV!
Always a pleasure T! The new acquisition is gorgeous. ❤
Great new intro, Very old school Urban Gentry.
Thank you Micheal, very kind of you to say.
Onwards, upwards and best regards,
TGV
I love the Black Bays even though they're popular, but I want to see what Tudor's design team comes up with if they aren't forced to lean so heavily on their history. After all, if they don't release new designs now, what will they have to rerelease in another 50 years?
Pelagos: Am I a joke to you?
TGV videos always put a smile on my face, love it.
As always, another amazing and very educational video. I'll eventually own a Tudor along this journey!
Before we even get started. That Urban Gentry Squale ... Yes
I really like your room set up. As the big lebowski says that rug really ties it all together.😂 And the clock looking things on your desk near the lever lamp looks awesome😂
You know good cinema my friend, thank you.
Best regards,
TGV
Ciao TGV, congrats on your newest acquisition. It's a gorgeous watch for sure, hope you get many happy years on the wrist. Bellissimo! 👌
Enjoy 👏👏👏👏👏👏
that bond theme in the intro hits hard man! love it
I do love my Tudor (BB Pro) because of its retro looks combined with modern functionality. I would suggest that it is precisely that combination of characteristics that attract me to Tudor.
So cool to see you are reacquainting yourself with your Tudor.
Amazing choice! Absolutely loved your Tudor Prince you showed us a few years ago, one of my faves.
O&U
Best regards,
TGV
@@theurbangentry always a pleasure to see your videos. Probably one of the first and continued subscribed channels when I started getting back into watches (6-7 years ago?) and re-educating myself in the hobby. I'd say the lasting residual effects of your channel, and some others, has been the current inclusion of watches from Seiko, Sinn and soon to be first Tudor amongst others.
Stay cool and keep the quality content coming.
TGV just go full Mark with drawers full of watches! 😂 I think collecting goes beyond practicality and he who collects does so because he loves it, not because he needs to, and the size of the collection is proportional to the love, so yours can be bigger than most people's 😊
Having said that, my goal size is 5, when it could be 2.
👍
I eventually pulled the trigger on this one ❤ Can’t wait for it to arrive
Great channel glad I found you… the watch is always front and center will review all the videos 👍
Not an easy process to start, but for sure something that helps to appreciate the keepers.
Glad to see you pursuing Temperance TGV, I'm working on the exact same thing myself, great watch choice!
New intro music is very Bondesque! Currently rocking a 6 watch collection myself.
Great video TGV. Hope you are in good health. Worried to hear about all the smog in your area at mo, and fingers crossed it doesn't affect you.
That way my choice is intentional, considered and i can invest in doing things whilst wearing my watches, deepening the ownership experience, rather increasing the ownership number 😁
1) Hamilton Khaki Field Auo = First ever automatic.
Would be interested in your thoughts on the new Tudor BB 54. Seems to be the nicest BB and is only 37mm and very thin
TGV old chap. An absolutely wonderful piece. Classic and timeless. The best two tone I have seen by far. I think you have made a very wise choice.
Onwards and upwards old chap.
Literally zero people ask about my watches. It's great lol. Congrats on the VP!
I have never ever considered one of those older Tudors before, that might be changing now.
Great video 👍
Beautiful Panerai in Black dial. Enjoy it! I don't blame you for wearing it, the most of the time.
I’ve had 5 Tudors so far but finally whittled it down to the S&G GMT black bay. It’s the perfect Tudor for me.
I’ve started doing the same, downsizing my collection.
This year I have sold around 22 watches, mostly on eBay, but bought about 6 😂
My favourite purchase this year was my new Tudor BB GMT S&G Rootbeer which I love
was quite surprised, interesting choice... personally would never swap the bracelet, love that gold with polished and brushed all together. ya just never really see that
I would NEVER buy this type of Tudor, it is just not my style but I love your story and why you bought it.
(All 5)
And my next watch is either a Tudor or Panerai (Zenith is still too far away for my wallet).
