Where did you purchase those big sponges? Is the Eheim heater a 300 watt? How often do you do a water change on the IBC tote? Where did you get that nifty water meter for the hose?
I bought the sponges from The Cichlid Shack. The heater is a 300 Eheim I haven’t had to water change yet since it is so new. I got the water meter on amazon
Didn’t really keep track. But I would say a couple hundred. I would have spent less if I lived in a warmer part of the country. I needed to insulate mine more than normal
I install 2 12" SS piano hinges before cutting a 2/3 lid.👍👍👍
Use pallet wrap instead of tape to hold the insulation on.
Thanks for the tip

The polycarbonate roof panels is an interesting idea. I wonder how long they will look good before growing algae.
I might borrow that idea.
Do it. When they get dirty just give them a wash.

I wonder if this would work for 2 koi fish
I would say yeah since it’s over 200 galleon
What do I do if my water is 97 I can't find shade.
I have the same size tote no fish in yet but I'd like to put some in.
Have it in a garage.
Garage or shop building
What did you cut it with, looked like a breeze.
I was using a sawzall
put something in the window to reduce sunlight
Thanks Jonathan
How much did you pay for your time?
Didn’t really keep track. But I would say a couple hundred. I would have spent less if I lived in a warmer part of the country. I needed to insulate mine more than normal
What a waste of tons of water just to test it out.👎🏽
On a well and its needed to make sure the pond is safe for fish.
To quiet the air pump try hanging it from the chord so it has nothing to vibrate against
thanks
