You should build a small bog filter with a waterfall feature. You will get an algae bloom very soon and the bog filter will help keep the water clear. Thank me later.
I discovered something this spring. I used an old pool float as a liner for one of my boxes. works great. its dark grey. it had a hole in one side so it would not hold air any longer but it is an excellent pond liner and they are about $15 bucks.
Such a better way of collecting medaka eggs than I've been doing, I have two identical tubs next to each other full of plants, because... Plants! Took three out covered in eggs this morning, all went well, getting them back out was less than fun 😂trying this tomorrow!
Don't use a net to catch your fish. Use some kind of clear plastic pot. They won't be scared and often just swim into it by themselves. Soooo much easier 😉
And with the rice fish - catch them the same way when you see they have eggs. Carefully empty the pot into your hand, and you can easily take the eggs and then put mom back in her pond, and the eggs to another bowl.
Awesome job..I love Fritz products..Fritz 7 is a must have for sure..I'm getting ready to build a similar pond on a bigger scale for our back yard..I think after watching this I want a similar one for some Rainbow Shiners too. Not sure how they will do in this Texas heat but I can get them in some shade. Keep Crushing It!! Stay HUMBLE, Stay HUNGRY, Stay FOCUSED...~The Jarhead Entrepreneur
@@AQUAPROS ooof that was slick, I didnt see that one coming 😂😂i meant the big tree things on your yard, ...but you caught me staring, guilty as charged/
You should consider adding rollers to everything. I have a 100l half wine barrel (25 gallon in funny units) on my balcony and i can roll it here or there. Anyway, you should make an update video so we can see what happened. I need closure.
Those guys look like they are only a few months old. By the end of summer they will be beautiful I'm sure. I breed rainbow shiners and a few other NA native fish
I built a 180gal above ground pond I put carpet tiles in first to protect the liner. Cut them to fit. Find used tiles at restore habitat for humanity thrift store.
Been subbed to you for about a month now, great content. Just noticed YT unsubbed me from the channel, though. Guess it's a real thing based on other channels?
You could easily add some thin insulation foam underneath the liner to prevent any issues with the nails/drainage holes.

I love the pond and so will the shiners. Shiners are minnows, so you were not wrong.
Rain / over flow would be a big concern. And some water lettuce would provide additional shade.
“Just fold it in”. IYKYK 😂😂😂 also…❤

I really like it. You can’t beat an outside patio pond!
YUM!!!! I mean ... nice pond
I’m loving your tank top era! Another great video
Just fold the corners in, as if you were wrapping a parcel. The last you use the easier it is.
Try a cherry shrimp pond. I highly recommend it!
Hooray for pond season.
If this pond is still going good you should add some flatish round river rocks like 3 or so and two hillstream loaches ! Bye bye algae
Im not allowed anymore aquariums... This doesn't count as an aquarium though
There’s always a work-around if you try! 🎉🎉🎉❤
Just water in a box if you ask me 🤷♂️

Those rainbow shiners are awesome fish, don't worry they'll show their true colors soon.

Really cool. Liking the pond stuff. Thanks for sharing
should have just got a thin piece of mdf marine ply or something as a false bottom to cover the nails
My thoughts exactly 💯
You should've used spray adhesive to put the liner down
Well done ,I really enjoy your hobby.
Glad you enjoy it!
It’s definitely going to be interesting to see if these fish colour up now they are outside in the natural sunlight. Great addition to your ponds.
Fingers crossed!
Mine have so should be 👍
Nice enjoyed your tiny liner pond, your fish seem happy. Is that pump turned on, did not observe movement of the water! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve never seen anyone talk with their head before, you make head gestures, your head moves around more than a baby trying to hold his head up lol
😂 stop it
Have you ever had a conversation with an Indian? 😅
Dots, not feathers...
Man now I can't not see it
It adds character than a stiff monotone person which lacks character thus is boring
@@Tokyo_Hikarijust say East Indian ffs
Love these pond videos
yes
I gotta get me some pond liner. I like that new set up a lot!
Bahahaha! Duck butt!
love your videos, very informative! can't wait for the next one!
Why didn’t you put the corner folds on the inside of the liner?
Me and my bf made a similar pond at spring time, the most tricky part by far was putting the liner it took as almost a day since it wasn't cooperating
Cool setup, you make it look easy. Glad you're not settling for those shiners. Can't wait to see what you have in the works
How do you keep a pond like this from overflowing when it rains a lot?
Oh noo! more free gun shows! The humanity-
Btw what are those hedge plants? Cant stop looking at them.
The big ones or my new thing im workin on?

Ok,you may have me convinced to try the mops in my ricefish tub.
for oxygenation you put an air diffuser on your pump outlet.
What is that thing you had on your hose that showed you the gallons?
The flap goes behind the face of the liner, put it against the wood so you have two folds that meet neatly in the corners.
Ahhhhhhhh! Next time ;)

Will you leave these fish in this pond year round?
for barrels dont have to use pond liner can buy tubs of gel coat stuff you can paint on the inside (cant remember the name of the stuff)
I built a 180gal above ground pond I put carpet tiles in first to protect the liner. Cut them to fit. Find used tiles at restore habitat for humanity thrift store.
needs some val so you can see the water flowing
Would love to have a little pond like this, but with temp here in Nevada the fish would be cooked in short order
👍👍👍
there are pond panels that you can weld, so you dont have folds, never done it before myself though.
Loved the pond but loved seeing you in a tank top even more 😍
❤❤❤
i would got the thicker liner, and take it over the edge of the container
People I’ve seen make ponds always put a soft liner under the liner. Old carpet or blanket would do.
Where did you get the spawning sponges?
Pool noodles and Brillo pads. There’s plenty of video showing how to make them.
Link for solar pump?
When will nano LEGIT fish food be back in stock?
They will color up when they start spawning
5:00 120 gal it can hold
5:30 I’m guessing 10 gallons 😅
👍🏻👍🏻
I think you’ll be good on the holes in the bottom. just wishful thinking
Couldn’t you just cut the liner and silicone the joins?
looks and sounds like the guy from ztt builds

mine still haven't colored up after 4 month's ☹
I want to be like him but none of my videos are good, I hope good people will support me❤❤❤
could you do your next video in a speedo?
This is not a stream/river. It's an outdoor pond in a box. Next!
Not what he said. Next. S hole
Bros closet is only white shirts
The solar pump is rubbish for a stream mate the fish one minute in a stream then when the sun goes in still !!! Not natural and fish will hate it !!!
