Really enjoyed this! I once had nerite snails in a 10 gallon that I swore had the ability to open wormholes/portals. They would blip in and out at will.
We’re moving and I’m leaving a busy life mini farming, for lake life! I’ve followed you and saved your work for this new life altering adventure! I already have the areas marked out in my head! Thank you for all the inspiration! I’m looking forward to posting the results!
First off Happy Father's Day Mike and please don't apologize about the length of this video was just as long as it needed to be it was very enjoyable and this is probably one of my most favorite of all the projects you've done. It looks great and I can't wait to see it mature. Thank you very much for this little gift today.
@@AQUAPROS Oops not sure why I thought you had a kid...maybe from misinterpreting comments in the past, but it's appropriate in a way. I myself am a cat dad(and fish of course... incidentally also fostered a rabbit for a little while.) I raised one of my cats from birth that occurred on my lap, had to hold the mama down to nurse him, then bottle feed him, and then wean him early because she rejected him. He has slept between my legs his entire life. 10 years later my little Montwo turned into a lion. I think my legs are permanently deformed from him sleeping between them so many years. So in honor of the father like care that we give the living things around us, I'm making up a new day. Happy Critter dad day! I hope you get to barbecue out on your patio enjoying your new Trifecta of Patio Plant Pot Portal Ponds... or something like that ...😊
I was kind of hoping that with the word ‘portal’, you had managed to run fat tubes between all 3 planters, essentially making one big body of water, but this is cool. I think the fish are up in their viewing column because they want to see you and your dry world. Why not? We keep fish just to see them and their world, and any creature that’s a predator is going to be curious. Don’t throw out the plastic pots that the creeping Jenny came in, you can turn them upside down to support stuff like the columns or other semi-aquatic plants. I would like to see columns like this with Vallisnaria growing up into them. I think I need to set up my own!
Had to click and see the Pond portal to another dimension!!!!😊 We are all ready to go now! When can we get in? LOL I see a dinosaur already came back with ya!
I love your videos about ricefish am from New Jersey , and I buy 2 big clays pots and I put medakas in both and they already breading 😊 thanks for share your knowledge
If you want to hold the glass vase in place you can search "Tall Aquarium Rock" and maybe using that on the inside of plant pot, or you can use a glass rod and it might look even invisible!
Like the idea you could usca plastic stake that would go down in the soil and long enough that it can go up into the jar to the bottom which will be the top. Then no matter what bumps it, it can't fall over. Hope this idea helps. There are plastic or fiber glass plant stakes you can pick up in nursery or garden centers at the big box stores.
Your rainbow shinners inside your fish room have you tried to put some java moss inside the breeding box with the rocks it may encourage them to breed.
@nath9233 sure... if you do it wrong. I've seen videos where someone connected 2 fish tanks where the fish could swim from one tank, into the pipe and up and over into the other tank. So it does work.
One thing you could try to hold those glass vases is to stick a piece of bamboo in the pot to hold the glass. Either up the glass to hold it or on the other side of the plant and zip tie.
Thank you so much man. I really appreciate you and everything your doing. Love these setups. Those medaka are gonna be super happy. Will have to get you set later in the season. And yes please for medaka stickers haha also thats awesome those shiners bred. Some of my favorite natives. Keep up the good work 💪🏼💪🏼🎏🎏
so from what i know and have experienced with White clouds they dont eat their young or the young of other fish unless the white cloud is still young hence their breeding comes in waves 1 generation matures breeds and their young will eat the 3rd generation but by gen 4 they are all mature and breeding again. dont know if the albino ones tend to be more cannibalistic but my standard ones have bred and had their fry in the tank with them. started with just 5 fish .
I've watched it all. So thank you great video. I'm hoping like in a year you will start selling some of your babies back to the hobby. Thanks for sharing. On happy father's day if your a dad I know you are to your fish 😊👍
Did you make that thingamajig a 😂 yourself with a 3D printer. Never heard of such a thing but so handy for that purpose. I love your videos, they are so great, I learn so much from you, I truly appreciate them. They are so inspiring that I started making my own mini indoor ponds in a pot. 😊 If you can please share where we can find the plant hanging device thingy for your creeping Jenny would be great 😂 Thanks a mill!!
Another great, inspiring video (as usual). Great ideas and how to, which I’m replicating. And it’s like we (your audience) are on FaceTime with you. Plz keep nerding out! Also, thanks to you, Legit Fish food is the only dried food I feed my fish. They love it! 🙏🙏🙌🙌👏👏

I was hyper focused between 2:49 and 3:44 😂😂 In all seriousness, you have just inspired me to create my own videos. Thanks a lot 🙏

Wife: are you putting creeping Jenny in my yard????
You: Ahhhh nooo!! 😂
Better than a wandering jew.
@@nath9233 purple on green. Maybe. 🤔

2:13 wait. Dinosaur?!😮
I couldn't pay attention because of dinosaur

What's the name of the rice fish place again?

Sweet tripond 🤙🏼
tri-pond, love it hahaha

Love this project!!!❤ You're definitely very inspiring!
I bet the fish like being able to look outside of their pond!
This must be enriching for them •^~^•
So cool to see

ohhhhhh i like that! I think I have some laying around actually!
Great video! Length is perfect. I know nothing about proper fish care so feel free to elaborate on details.
What is the name of the grass you use for these ponds and where do you get the glass canisters that you add to the ponds for the fish to swim up in?
Do you thinking sticking a bamboo stake in the pot and using that to help hold up the glass jar would work? Might be more stable.
Where do you get the plant hangers?
I didn't see them on your website.
The title of this video LMAO. Beam me up, Mikey!
Every time I watch one of your videos, I see something I would love to try.
Wow those yozakura gold medaka look amazing!
Quick question! Will those pretty little glass jars turn into magnifying glass and torch things a little? Noticed the sunlight does hit it.
Your rainbow shinners inside your fish room have you tried to put some java moss inside the breeding box with the rocks it may encourage them to breed.
Run a wooden or plastic stake down inside your plant pot and then use that to prop the glass jar.
A fish safe rod of some kind can also go through one side of the glass jars.
yes! thank you, great idea!
Congratulations on the Rainbow Shiners babys🎉
What about using a bamboo steak to out the jar on
Or plant the bamboo in the ground behind it! 😍
You should try connecting the 3 pomds so the fish could like swim up a clear tube and go from one pot to the next
It's a good idea but gravity would get the better of it
That won't work. The top ones will just drain to the lower ones which would overflow

@jessl1934 if you're not smart enough to figure it out you could just say that instead
@@SkyKid002 not when one is lower than the other......

YES BRIAN! thank you!!!!!
What is the grass like plant you put in your ponds ?
Need some orange sparkly ones 😮
I love the ponds with the anti gravity tanks. Cool channel 👍. Just curious, what climate zone do you live in?
Can't you put the bricks in a zip lock type bag if they are affecting the water?
More plants & floating plants brilliant for filtering the water
what kind of pond grass are you using?

what plants are you using?
I'm still watching the video. But where can I purchase the Monterey beach sand? TIA
Maybe add more rocks to the egg trap?

Thanks a mill!!
Thanks! Ya just go on to etsy ans search "poth-o-carry"
Water chess nuts and watercrest would be a good plant and you can harvest them for your salad.
Happy daddy day!

I appreciate that soooo much! As always, thanks for leavin me feedback on all these things, really lifts me up :)
Creeping Jenny can go crazy and start growing in and taking over lawn and flower beds. Be careful!
Big fan, do have a question where did you get those plant clips from?
Same, would like to know, not easily searchable
I'm in Los Angeles,I can't have any outdoor tanks or ponds, the raccoons kill everything!
I think he just needs more rocks
oh yess I love it
thanks!!!!
why not just drop in a piece of wood? that would soften the water over time naturally.
👍🏻👍🏻
Rice fish elevators.
