I can’t get over how Meryl tries to explain land ownership and what not to the squad and then it cuts to those dumbass zoomers just staring at her with no understanding at all lmao. This main cast is amazing I love them
Oprah is either in cahoots with or contested by Zucc; if they’re conflicting interests in the area their brinksmanship will cause the huge fires (Araki likes writing his newer parts in former disaster sites)
There was definitely a hint from Charmingman before that there is a darker side to the lava rock and my guess is that while the lava rock brings valuables to the owner of the rock, that does not protect any of the owner's allies from having to pay a hefty price to make the lava rock's effect happen
Yeah it makes sense that the lava rocks gets a negative side effect introduced at this point of the story. If it doesn't then the part is over right here lol
It's probably just for easy extra promotion material. Jodio is pretty much the same in all of them so he used that as the base and changed it up a few times for the volume and magazine
I wrote the same comment under HamonBeat’s video, so I’ll repeat it here too. its gonna be long and has a little bit of interesting information about Hawaiian volcanos and some of history. As with any natural phenomenon, the Hawaiians had to somehow explain why there were so many mountains on the islands, which spit out huge pieces of fiery earth and ash into the air at varying intervals. Pele - Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes and fire. According to folklore, she arrived on the Hawaiian archipelago from outside and left many volcanic craters on the islands. Until the end of the 19th century (and in fact, still) the Hawaiians presented Pele with various gifts and sacrifices, just so as not to get killed by eruptions. In volcanology there is a term "lapilli". This is the name given to stones formed by lava frozen in air. Volcanologists also like to attribute various types of frozen lava to Pele (“Pele’s hair,” “Pele’s tears,” “Pele’s algae”). In 1868, an interesting incident occurred in Hawaii. The Mauna Loa volcano began to erupt, and King Kamehameha V came up with an interesting way to pacify it. As offerings to Pele, he threw diamonds, luxurious dresses and other VALUABLES into the volcano to appease the goddess. Hawaiians warn tourists against collecting solidified lava as a souvenir. Many tourists send the lava back to Hawaii because they believe it only brought them bad luck. Well, that is, we have a volcanic deity who receives valuable things and frozen lava, which returns through the will of the people themselves back to the islands (Sorry for grammatical mistakes, English is not my native language)
Oh god, Charming man is the smokey of this universe, who became the president of the United States after Jodio inevitably defeats the Kars of this universe.
YES, its fantastic! And I'm shocked to see you here 😳 you're a legend man. Believe it or not but It was your videos that literally first got me into JoJo. I hope you're doing well and life has been treating you right
@@xForts haha, thanks a lot for the kind words -- glad to see that (JJBA &) RUclips is going so well for you! Yeah, it has been, thanks -- we're actually expecting a baby towards the end of the year: ohh how time has flown!! Likewise, I hope all is going well for you too, mate -- keep up the great work! 💛
Another possibility of whats going on with Usagi is not only the instances you brought up, but I think its possible that MatteKudasai may have been spotted by the user and that got attacked before eventually affecting Usagi.
The Jojolands is probably gonna be the name of whatever Jodio and Dragona end up owning, and instead of the classic "Joestar & Joestar" kinda deal for property/company names, they just go with "JoJoLands".
I love how with each chapter we get closer and closer to a confirmation that Araki 100% watched Breaking bad and he sprinkle some references here and there like Meryl saying "no half measures" which is something I only heard by Mike in BB, which means we're 1 step closer to Saul Goodman in JoJo ‼️‼️
I personnaly thought they were going to lean into the locaca drug because Charming man mention drug poisoning at the end of the chapter and Usagi has rock skin. Also, we know that Usagi takes drug.
I have a third theory about what Usagi is going through. Given the hints towards the inevitable return of King Crimson, what if this is how AU Diavolo takes over, and how we get into truly fighting King Crimson? I think it would be pretty cool.
An idea for the lava rocks. Given the talk of equivalent exchange, perhaps the specific lava rocks being formed are from magma is considered the worst possible type of calamity. Endless torture of the rock in magma, forever entombed I. Lava, all until it escapes. The fresh rock has experienced endless calamity, and thus due to the law of equivalent exchange is super lucky and this can attract valuables
The one thing that's gets me is that stands reaction to strong emotions or person will, as in other JoJo prior most stands come out when said protagonist are willing to fight, but there stands reaction to there will to steal, which makes them a super rare case to JoJo history.
Wonder if the watch being covered in fish odor and grime when Dragona got it indicates that there’s some correcting of equilibrium when a person’s desire outpaces their means. Or maybe if a person’s perceived “value” doesn’t match the object in question, the lava rock lowers it by making it disgusting in some sense. The rich rarely give up something unless it has literally no benefit and actively harms their interests. So the lava rock ensures that they will hand it off to the “lower masses” when they would have otherwise kept it/taken it for themselves. After all, the object beneath is practically unchanged, the only difference being in perceived beauty. If the land is really worth that much and the people it’s tied to would barely consider the Gang respectable people, then the process would want to make that land undesirable and handed off to stave off controversy. Honestly wonder if there might be some “Killers of the Flower Moon” events happening. The land they owned was worthless, and then when it suddenly attained high value, outsiders did everything they could to try and steal it away “legally.”
I’ve never read manga as it released before part 9 and GOOOOOD THIS WAS JUST THEM WALKING INTO A BUILDING LOOKING AT A PIECE OF PAPER AND LEAVING (granted they did some stand shenanigans to get there but it was all stuff we’ve seen before or solved by lying) AND NOW I GOTTA WAIT A MONTH
The chances of this being the reality are near zero but when I was reading the chapter the first thing that came to mind when Usagi got sick was the Rock Disease from Jojolion
Yeah that's what I thought it was too. I then thought back to when Charmi's brother went missing when riding the bike and thought that his brother became the lava rock somehow and now Usagi is turning into one as well (or fusing with the rock?) but idk
@xForts bro thank you so much for introducing WebNovel to me. I've already got nearly 1000 viewers on my fanmade JoJo story in 7 hours. You're a legend
I like that the lavarock grabs immaterial value. I think it’s possible that howler got the land in the first place with the rock so I’d like to see more than one rock interact with each other. So far, we’ve seen the rock be used in combat before but I’d love to 2 rocks be used on opposite sides of a fight
may i suggest you to do a video about all stands in the light novel spin off of part 5 that is the golden heart, golden ring and purple haze feedback, because those 2 light novel are interesting
Do you have any thoughts on if the rocks on Usagis neck is something completely separate from the puking? Maybe they just uncovered a rock human among themselves 🤷♂️
Regarding the theories on what's happening to Usagi, I think there could be a few other explanations. As far as I'm aware, I don't think there's actual confirmation that the spots were moving up Usagi's neck. Additionally, some attention was paid to Usagi looking nervous and shaking before he spilled the noodle cups. Now, while that may have just been a separate thing, I like to think that the two are connected. Moving on to the actual theory of mine: while it could still be the lava rock manipulating events in a roundabout way, I suspect that Usagi might be going through either a drug overdose or drug withdrawal. Now, while what's happening to him is probably not caused by any known drug, he was noted by Jodio to possibly be a drug addict due to how he acted. This theory would, at least, be a way to bring that detail into the story in a way other than making Usagi act goofy.
Oh that's a really fun theory, the lava rock infleunce Usagi in such a way to cause this "supernatural-illness" and thus turning the mechanism which will eventually lead to gaining ownership of those lands. Personally I think its some kind of cloud/vapor stand that just sits in the air and remains safe, but upon certain activation attacks a target.
I love Araki's overarching themes for the stories in each part. This one seems to be very interesting as well. Is ownership something entirely constructed by humans? How does it work, only by tapping into people's desires and needs? I really want to see how he'll develop these themes going forward
What if Jojolands main villain or big boss is inspired of Jack the reaper , kinda thing where anyone gets killed while they're in a mission where they are trying to steal something big from the boss's company?something like resoto x diavolo x giorno's gang something like that
This is my first time ever waiting a whole month for a chapter. I just finished all of wou in one go, I cant imagine having to wait monthly for that whole ark. Hopefully the arks are shorter in Jojolands
I just realized Usagi is like the Polnareff or Narancia of the Part 9 group where he seems to be the target of numerous enemy stand user attacks when introducing the new threat.
I think that usagi at the end is under influence of stand that activates if someone moves away from it and bigger the distance the more potent the abillity as to make the influenced stay near. That would work as mechanism to stop someone from escaping. Vommiting and his skin brings me metallica to mind , which would be great to see alternative risotto or maybe just metallica with different user. Maybe there's price for all the fortune and usagi will be one that is going to pay it, which eventually can shape him into becoming the antagonist.

I think I’ll refer to charmingmans stand as : Dust in the wind
LOTM is actually legit a masterpiece just like JoJo

that was my favorite panel this chapter lol
Total Part 5 feels with them lol
Only gonna be all the more heartbreaking when at least 2 or 3 of them get murdered
She should have played some gameplay footage of Subway Surfer for them whilst talking to keep their attention!
Okay so it’s Hawaii and the story’s partially about land ownership, so the main villain is Mark Zuckerberg.
Flawless logic
Next jobro is Michael Reeves?
