    I have had my civic for 18 months. Almost 15k miles. I am being completely honest when I say I like it more today than the day I came home with it. Any doubts, reservations or post purchase blues have evaporated with every mile, curve and freeway on ramp I have encountered.

      @@pv4083 I have had no issues with the oil. I changed it every 5k. It's also my understanding oil dilution problems occurred in extremely cold weather when the engines were not allowed to warm up over repetitive short trip driving. Additionally my own research indicated that almost all engines do have some fuel slip past the piston rings. It burns off naturally. Lastly. Honda did change the oil the use to GF6. Don't quote me on that last one. That just was I heard. Making it hearsay.
      Hope you get one and enjoy it as much as we do

    • @In-obscurity-n7j
      @In-obscurity-n7j 9 месяцев назад +1

      I thought the same thing. But on a Canadian review channel they pointed something out. The SI is considered the top trim and gets all the bells and whistles. They do not get an option for a sport touring with a manual. Not taking into consideration dealer markups. Their Civic SI is the highest priced in their market. In our market it should be extremely affordable. But Greedy people do greedy things. Thus making it appear Honda is screwing us when they tried to at least price it accordingly.

      I think the Civic Si doesn't have a spare tire so they can compensate for the moonroof weight. This is just my assumption though. I'd say on average the moonroof(glass,frame, motor) weighs 30-40 pounds and a spare tire kit is roughly around the same weight maybe a bit lighter? I am not sure. I sure did wish they came with a spare tire though...

Ive always shopped for cars on marketplace and had a few used cars and was about to get a 08 si for 5k. Worth it, although im glad i went with the 11th gen. Currently im around 990 or so miles and i cant wait to drive.
    Some say theres gonna be buyers remorse but i dont see it. Its a civic si, best of the best and all around its dialed in.
    Not sure what im talking about tbh, but all in all, i cant be happier. Yes its not fast and i know the options i couldve gotten regarding performance like a velociter N, but the 11th gen SI has the be one of the best cars all around

      Oh gosh… in short, yes. I’ll pull out my paperwork and get a breakdown of what I paid for you but the buying process was soul crushing. I was sick to my stomach for about 3 days. I’m used to buying motorcycles, where it’s a bit more straightforward. I negotiated with them for several hours and did get some money off but it was still more than I really wanted to pay at that time. I love the car but I will not be buying a new car for a very long time because of that experience. The dealers really took a “I know what I got” stance. My advice is shop around and negotiate what you can (no way I’m paying $100 for nitrogen in my tires).

    How is the windshield and the angle, and cleaning it with the tablet like device, does that get in the way?

      You mean cleaning it from the inside? I don’t think the screen would get in the way. I dust behind the screen quite a bit and it’s fine.

      What is the MSRP in Canada? That sounds like a ton of great features. My husband actually owned a Canadian 1998 civic for a while. Took us a minute to get used to the km/h speedometer haha

    I Love your Review. I used to own an Acura Integra and retired the car at 366,000 Miles. I now drive my mom's Honda Civic to work. Looking back, I should have installed a Clear Bra in Front of the Car to prevent Rock Chips. After the warranty period, find yourself a Good Trusted Mechanic/Shop and follow the maintenance schedule like Tire Rotation, Oil Change, Coolant, Transmission Oil change to the exact specifications. Keep all the records in a folder and you can still sell it at a good price when you decided to get another Honda in the future.
