I’m so happy to see a black dermatologist on RUclips, I’ve been waiting for this moment. You’ve quickly become one of my favs right along with Dr. Dray, thank you for taking the time to thoroughly explain the science and democratize dermatology!
@Ads ... I am black but don’t like when people mentioned the colour. I am happy too, but no need to put it out there loud. You know she has subscribers of all races.

I'm a molecular geneticist (not working in biomedicine) and I love seeing these pathways because I can google them and work everything out by myself. You're a fantastic resource for a biologist like myself who knows how to do science and consume scientific literature, and is also fascinated with skincare!
You have a GIFT for educating. Thank you for also utilizing your cosmetic chemistry knowledge to inform us that it goes beyond the ingredient...formulation matters! As a pharmacist, I nerd out on pharmacokinetics (hehe), so this was a pleasure to watch. Another request: please do a video on underarm hyperpigmentation and corrective measures. I imagine that with it being an intertriginous zone, it can pose a challenge to treatment. Thank you!
So glad your doing these videos. I was your patient and I found our sessions super informative! This is so your lane and I'm happy that you're taking advantage of this platform. Yay!
The Naturium Multi-Bright Tranexamic Acid Treatment 5% ($22) seems to be a good emulsion. My first bottle is still on the way but the reviews are really good so I'm excited.
First off, the way your skin glows in this video is encouraging to me as I’m on my skin care journey. I watched your video on melasma/hyperpigmentation and have developed my skin care routine based on your recommendations - (including cyspera) I’m only 2 weeks in and hope my skin can be half as glowy as yours in 14 weeks - I had a super bad case of melasma with back to back pregnancies. Wish me luck!
Hi can u please share your routine, I have bought so many things looking at diff vedios but now at a loss ... I have all Ordinery products for pigmentation alpha arbutin, retinol, azalic acid, 0.2 retinol, niacinaminde and now incky tranx.... but no clue how to layer them ... please help 🙏🏼

I went to see my derm and she just prescribed this for me. I knew she was the one because I already had heard you talk about this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Because of you I finally decided to go back and find a good derm near me. I’m so glad I did.
Would you mind doing a video about different routines. Like a routine for someone fighting both acne and hyperpigmentation. How would they layer actives and when would they use each one ( AM or PM) for maximum efficacy and minimal irritation?
@@Rea13434O I've watched that video already. It doesn't really talk about a specific routine, more so things that are good to use and things that re good to avoid. Thank you though 🤗
Honestly check out Dr. Berg, his advice (B5 [250mg], cod liver oil, zinc supplements) is the only thing that cleared my acne other than accutane. Find a good derm and treat the acne 1st, then deal with the hyperpigmentation. Other than accutane, minocyclin, retin a and benzaclin work well. There are many acne routines by dermatologists on here also Brianna Stanko has good acne product videos. To deal with acne & hyperpigmentation I use Lytera, Skinceticals Phyto+, Osmosis AC Catalyst DNA Serum (Vit C) and Tazorac 0.1%. Gonna try Anteage Brightener next.
same. I use it at night but dont really wash my face in the morning so would love to know if it is ok to use tranxemic acid at night and not wash it off in the morning
@@Anewuser_6282 "Dr" Berg is not even a physician. He has no education no practical experience on medecine and has never seen any patients. I am pretty new to your channel. I found you about you a week ago. I am 61 and have been suffering from hyperpigmentation which sucks because I never even had acne in my life., I was surprised that women of color had to use some different solutions. I am so happy to find you. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, I actually just ran across your video because I am going to be starting Tranexamic Acid orally for one of the conditions that you mentioned. I also struggle with hyperpigmentation issues, so helping to even out my skin tone would be an awesome consolation for having to swallow 6 of these huge pills per day! 😊
