I used to live in Japan a number of years ago and Tranexamic acid and Arbutin are used a lot in their whitening creams and lotions, i've used Japanese skincare for many years now and like both ingredients. I was pretty surprised and also glad to see them make their way into Western skincare too, as previously I only got them from my Japanese skincare from brands like Kose, Hada Labo and Sana. I use both for a power combo!! I'm using Face theory Exaglow, TO Arbutin and the premium whitening toner and cream for Hada Labo, all have tyrosinase inhibitors :)

I was prescribed Tranexamic acid % by my skin doctor. Used it for like a year to remove sunburns/ melasma. It made my skin color too pale looking, and whenever I am running or exposed to the sun it turned red. I stopped using, I still have the sunburns and pigmentation

8:00-8:55 (sniff sniff) 😢 😢 ….. 🤧 … AUNTIE V! WE LOVE YOU SO MUUCH! 💕🥰🙃🥺😇🤗🤗. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Sincerest thank you and gratitude from the bottom of my heart for all you do and who you are. You’re making history. You’re a part of this movement taking place in the beauty & skincare industry right now. Idk if you know but I’m just going to remind you. SOC faces are being TRANSFORMED with all this great advice. I know. I’m proof of it.
You’re holding these manufacturing companies accountable by scrutinizing their inkey lists. Can you imagine? Certainly we would love to have done this properly, before you. Do we not check labels in grocery stores? I do. However, we had no clue as to what we were looking for/at. Then you arrived to scene, beautiful and oh so knowledgeable, and began breaking bread. (Literally, I warm up tea, fire some toast and take notes when a new video is released.) You’re sharing your wealth by imparting these gold nuggets of information. It’s enough to make me speechless.
You show up and advocate for us. Like a top-of-the-line lawyer. Like a friend. I think I speak for all your listeners, from all the shades of different colors, who benefit from your advice when I say “thank you.” 😌

Hi Dr V! Thank you so much for all the knowledge you provide us with! If I bought your body pigmentation kit, would I also be able to use it on some parts of my face (around my mouth)? Just asking because I have stubborn PIH in my underarm area, but also have a little bit of hyperpigmentation around the lower half of my mouth. The kit is a little pricey so I just want to buy one to start with (out of the facial and body pigmentation kit). Which one do you recommend?
