I had ordered the 3.0 on May 12,2023. On May 16,2023 my customer service rep was told by their supervisor that the 3.0 was out of stock and most likely won't be able to be shipped till July. The company is adding hydraulic brakes for the delay. I decided to buy the 2.0 since it is in stock and bought the long distance battery and a few other accessories. I'm 71 years old and have a little younger wife so speed doesn't matter to us as we will cruise easily on the 2.0. Hope the time is shorter for you.
You’ll have to let us know how that long range battery is. Ours is the standard but still does what we need in a single day. I haven’t experienced the hydraulic brakes yet either.
Recently purchased a xp 3.0 and its original saddle is hard as a brick! In the video I noticed you have a stem with a spring and larger saddle, can you provide info on its purchase? Great video and informative....
Thanks for the compliment! Yes, our original seat was very uncomfortable. We purchased the upgrade comfort package. It does have its own shock control pole that comes with the extra padded seat. We bought them through Lectric. It makes a big difference and we bike longer. Definitely worth the extra cost. But if you haven’t ordered them yet, if you look at reviews on different Google sites, people buy and recommend Walmart alternative seats that are gel filled etc. they run for less than $29. They don’t have the shock absorber post but maybe those can also be found online. We hope you enjoy your 3.0. We’re still on our 2.0’s but they are still running strong. Thanks for watching!
I haven’t received 2.0 step thru yet. Great video to see before arrival. I love that this bike is fully assembled on arrival, unlike RAD, which still are great bikes too and we had no trouble with front wheel and disc brake.
I JUST PUT MY 2.0 TOGETHER LAST NIGHT! I got the upgraded seat & the cargo package put on. It’s fully charged & I’m ready to ride! One issue I can’t figure out though is HOW TO CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE? I TRIED USING MY TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE BUT AM NOT GETTING ANYTHING! I tried both wheels & got nothing. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong! I want to make sure the tire pressure is correct before I take it on my first ride. Maybe I’ll do a little more googling🤣thanks for the great video!
Congratulations on your new eBike!! There should be some air in the tires that at least your gauge can read it but maybe your gauge is faulty. I would recommend trying someone else’s tire gauge or out some air in the tire to see if it was just empty. We hope you enjoy your new eBike. Thanks for watching!!
Love these bikes. We have the Lectric XP bikes. They are awesome. Good info for the 2.0. The features like bigger seat and suspension are great new features. Thanks for sharing. New friends here. KTKamping Kent and Tami
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! We love our XP 2.0 eBikes so far. Just out of curiosity, where do you store your eBikes when camping? Right now we travel with them in totes in our 4Runner but still lock them up under our rv front cap locked up folded in their totes but we move them back into the 4Runner if rain is in the forecast.
Thanks for your review and tips. Just unpacked my new XP bike and experimented with it. I have a RAD city step though as well. One big difference I noticed with the XP was the force of the throttle --very powerful very quickly. PAS levels also seem much stronger. Takes some getting used to. Some notes on design. The key position is horrible! You need to be a contortionist to see the lock and insert the key. Having the key hang out while riding is a very bad design. I also noticed what was mentioned in other reviews that when you turn with the pedals in the low position you scrape the ground. That could easily cause an accident. In general, I think the XP will be a lot of fun to use. It's a peppy, economical, fairly stable platform with the exceptions mentioned above. It will be interesting to see how the battery holds out over extended use. Thanks again for your review.
You’re welcome. Yes, that key location is very frustrating. I haven’t thought about scraping the pedals in the low position but it makes sense. We hope you enjoy your XP. Thanks for watching!
Good news about cruise control. I hope that's how it works on the 3.0. I just got mine yesterday. It's cold and snowy here, sadly. I'm about to go out to the garage to open it and bring the battery and manual into the warm house and do what few do. Read the manual!
Let us know how you like the 3.0. Hopefully you’ll have good weather soon to drive it around. Probably not a good idea to drive it in the house. Lol 😂. Thanks for watching!
@@CompassRoadz I got it put together, so to speak. The connector to the display was apart but it was hard from the cold so I couldn’t push it together. The battery would not come out! Yes the pin was retracted. I decided that was due to the cold too. So, this morning I wheeled it from the garage through the patio doors to the kitchen and let it warm up for a few hours. The connector then went together easily. The battery was a struggle but I got it out. There were some anti-rattle pads, I think they are, that jammed the battery. So now the bike is back in the garage and the battery is in my warm basement along side my batteries for my lawnmower, snowblower and other devices. The weather will likely be cold until March. Where I work, we have a huge warehouse. Hmm. I bet the forklift drivers might want to race!
I just got my XP3 Lite. I kept the default settings except I set the PAS Sensitivity to 5 and left the PAS Strength at 3. I do this to allow me to peddle to get started (no motor help) and not have a jolt when the motor comes online. This is particularly important if I am doing a slow U turn as the bike tends to be a little “squirrely” at very slow speeds. (All bikes with small tires, and tall seats and handlebars).
That I do not know how that setting works on the trike. Sorry. All I can suggest is try it, if it has no effect, then return it to it original setting. Thanks for watching!
Yes, absolutely! Just make sure you don’t turn the PAS on. The throttle only works if you set the PAS from 1-5. When you turn the bike on, it’s default setting is zero. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your great video!! What seat do you have on your bike? Would that happen to be the upgraded seat option from Letric? Thanks again for your great video!
I bought a black 2.0 and a white step through, also bought 2 totes for hauling we both got the comfort package and upgraded headlight also on my black one I changed the stock 28 14 tooth freewheel to a 28 11 freewheel makes it alot easier for cruising you don't have to pedal nearly as fast. I also bought 2 basket sets one is still boxed up because it won't fold up in the totes with both on I put the smaller basket on the front and I have panier bag on back and it still fits in the tote my totes are bigger than yours but they fit in my Yukon. Nice review by the way I love the bikes. Have fun. Gotta roll. Rafe P..
Sounds like you have a great set of bikes. We had to get totes that would fit in the 4Runner but the baskets won’t fit with them. We carry them in our RV and only put them on when we plan on using them. Thanks for watching!
Yes, that is the comfort seat that is part of the “comfort package”. It is good, but check the Facebook group for other options if this seat isn’t appealing to you. Others have talked about seats that are still a good substitute.
I canceled the comfort package because it wasn't going to ship for several weeks. Bought an aftermarket seat and suspension post for $20 less than the sale price from Lectric.
Great video, thanks for all the valuable information! I have two Lectric's on order, the light (which tracking information shows it'll arrive on Tuesday) and the XPremium due in early June. Your video begs the question; where can we find a resource that describes each of the 21 different settings? Thanks again, Eugene
If you change it the top speed is supposed to be 28 mph however, the manufacturer claims there’s a +/- 3 kmh variance. I’ve noted that it does make a difference what type of road I’m driving on (blacktop, concrete, gravel, or dirt). That’s driving at PSA 5. Even a strong headwind or tailwind will make a difference.
On your monitor, the box next to the PAS is empty. Mine reads "Manual". How do I take the bike out of MANUAL and have the box show nothing, empty? Can you help?
Pretty much. You’d be surprised how many people just don’t want to read the manual. Miost think a bike is a bike and everything is labeled so why bother reading the instructions to figure out all the features. Thanks for watching!
The adjustment to the tire setting is strictly for the computation of the mileage and speed. Even a small variance in the setting can effect the accuracy of the display readings. Thanks for watching our video and we hope you enjoy your eBike!!
The default of 22 seems to be way too low. I have seen many posts of people complaining that their speedometer and odometer were way under. In all the posts I read where the person has dialed the value in using a phone and a gps app, the final value ranged from 23.5 to 24.4. It also doesn't seem to be 100% repeatable or reliable. After spending close to a half hour changing the value, resetting trip odometer, riding a mile, adjusting again, etc. I finally settled on 23.2 which is off by one tenth of a mile for each mile ridden according to the gps app. Is it the bike? the gps app? the phone? Don't know, don't care :D The fun factor is not dependent on me knowing the exact speed or miles ridden to mess with it any longer than I did.
Not that I know of. Although I would think that maintaining a steady speed would be more efficient than constantly accelerating after deceleration, similar to a car cruise control. Thanks for watching!
Ordered mine on December 2nd and as of yet I have not gotten a tracking number or a definitive arrival date. I was wondering if you had a similar experience?
We were lucky. It was Friday after Labor Day we purchased, the following Tue or Wed we got a tracking number and we received our first bike that Friday, a week after purchase. The bikes shipped together but got separated in Missouri and our second bike showed up the Monday after although our comfort seats came a few weeks later. We still haven’t received a tracking number for our cargo baskets even though we were told they wouldn’t ship until November. I called at the end of November and they said supply pushed it to December. Still no tracking number but I’m sure with the sale they offered for the holidays, they are backed up. I’m not going to call about our baskets until after the new year since we really don’t need them right now and I don’t want to hinder their efforts getting bikes out to everyone. Thank you so much for watching our video and please keep us updated about your eBike. We hope you get some good news soon!
My charger works but only for 3 seconds then turns green for 3 seconds, then back to red for 3,seconds. This continues. Any idea why. Maybe battery or charger is bad?
I haven’t run into that. But I know when I plug the charger in, it will turn green first for a few seconds, then it turns red until the battery is completely charged. If it isn’t charging your battery, then you need to contact Lectric and get it solved. Thanks for watching!
You would be amazed at how many don’t bother looking at the manuals. That’s why we did that. There are those that prefer to watch than read, which I can empathize with. Thanks for watching!
We ordered two on Friday after Labor Day and 1 arrived 7 days later the next Friday, but the second one didn’t arrive until the following Monday. They were both shipped together but somehow got separated in Kansas. The comfort seats we ordered arrived later. One was a month later and the second one I had to call in for because we were leaving the state for a few weeks and they got it to us within a week after the first seat. We also ordered one set of cargo baskets the same day we ordered the bikes and seats. We knew they wouldn’t be shipped out until November but I called them a few weeks ago and they said it’s now been pushed to December. So we are still waiting on that. Thanks for watching!!
Tim, I’ve poured through the manual and I don’t see how it can be moved to the left. But, you may be able to call Lectric to see if they can customize a bike for you. If the throttle is moved to the left, would you be willing to have the power and +/- moved to the right or do you need all functional controls on the left? Thanks for watching!!!
@@CompassRoadz Thanks for the reply. Yes, you are correct. My wife needs all operating functions on the left. She can grip the right handlebar but is not able to manipulate the controls there.. I'll give them a call to see if that is possible. Great videos!
Thank you for the kind words. Please let us know what you find out from them. You brought up a very good point that I’m sure there are other people that may be in the same position. They may not have that capability right now with their current bikes, but maybe if they were made aware, they could take that into consideration for their next model.
P22, and anything above, isn’t considered a “user” setting. Lectric did not put tide in the Users Manual and adjusting those settings could void any warranty with Lectric. Understanding that, if you still want to play with those settings to experiment, do so at your own risk. I’d recommend writing down what the default setting was first. Thanks for watching!
Here is a blog for some of the settings that Lectric did not include in their owners manual, although some of them don't explain what some are for but they do provide the default for each one. This is from the Lectric Facebook Group: m.facebook.com/groups/577478866138248?view=permalink&id=809418396277626 Thanks for watching!
@Yooper915 hmmm. That doesn’t sound right. I only have an 2.0. Not sure what model you have but you may need to go to Lectric’s website and download the manual for your model. You’ll want to keep that for future use anyway. If it doesn’t explain something there, then call customer support and they are really helpful if you can describe what’s going on. Sorry I don’t have a good answer for you. Let us know if you or they were able to figure it out.
My girlfriend said how does the bike know how fast you're walking. I told her well these are futuristic bikes. They scan the body to keep pace. Fooled her go a couple seconds 😏😜😂
When changing your P08 setting from 32, we’re you able to increase it to 45 and let it stay there until the settings menu timed out to go back to normal mode? There is no “enter” button but you can also press the plus and minus buttons simultaneously to go back to normal mode after choosing your selections.
Hi, thank you for showing what this wonderful machine can do. I'm a biker. I have set mine up for me. The 11 - 28 T upgrade is a must. 3 X 16" motorcycle tires fit the bike.
We’ve never heard of the 11-28 T upgrade but will check it out. We are novice bikers though and pretty much just ride leisurely. I do bet the motorcycle tires you mentioned will be more durable than the stock. Thanks for watching!
@@paulp.6399 Theres no such thing as a 20inch rim on a 20 inch wheel ebike. This is the big mis-understanding. Dont believe me. Go get a tape measure and measure the diameter of your 20 inch wheel bike. You will get something just ahy of 16 inches. When they say a bike has 20 inch wheels. That INCLUDES the wheel with the tyre on fully inflated. And that's only for STANDARD 20X2 inch tyres. If you have FAT TYRES. The diameter is going to be 23 to 24 inches when fully inflated. This is why people say you can get 16 inch motorbike tyres on a 20 inch wheel. They are actually referring to the WHEEL RIM DIAMETER.
For those who have to deal with steep hills, the 11-34 freewheel might be an even better option. An 11 tooth seventh gear to replace the 14 tooth gives you the needed resistance on the high end when going 15-20mph so you aren't pedaling like a maniac or ghost pedaling and a 34 tooth 1st gear to replace the 28 tooth really helps when trying to pedal up steep hills.

You’ll have to let us know how that long range battery is. Ours is the standard but still does what we need in a single day. I haven’t experienced the hydraulic brakes yet either.
Nice video well explained, great bike for the money for sure, ride safe.
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching!
Thanks I just ordered the 2.0, I'll save this till setup time.
That is awesome! Let us know how it goes when you get yours in. Thanks for watching!
Great view thanks so much!
No, thank you for watching!
Great video! Waiting for my 2.0 to come. Ride safe!!
Thanks for watching and the compliment. No doubt you are going to love it. We have adopted the wear of helmets when outside the campgrounds.
We hope you enjoy your new eBike when it does arrive. Thanks for watching!
How long did shipping take?
1 week for one and the second one came in 2 days later.
for the walking up hills idea you get a like!
Thanks. We will take that. Thanks for watching!!
mine arrives today... this is a very useful video
Awesome! Let us know how everything goes. Don’t forget to have an air pump to fill the tires before using. Thanks for watching!
Great job. Thanks 🎉🚲✨
You are welcome and thank you for the compliment and for watching.
Great video, planning on getting this or the xp lite in the near future as my first e bike
Awesome! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for watching!

@@CompassRoadz We basically do the same thing. We also store ours in totes in the back of the truck.
Thank you, that was informative. I don't have one yet, but maybe soon.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Checked the manual for my xp3.0 step through, all of these apply to the new bike as well
That’s great to know. We haven’t gotten our hands on a 3.0 ourselves yet. Will pass this information on to viewers that ask. Thanks for watching!
For beginners I recommend setting #10 to 1. Throttle only and no PAS.
Once you’re confident turn on PAS 👍
(Setting #10 option 2)
Everyone should test it first before they try it out in traffic. The sudden jerk needs to get used to. Thanks for watching!
@@CompassRoadz that and being in PAS can cause havoc if you happen to pedal through a corner and it engages.
These are great bikes.
Yes they are. Do you have the same ones? Thanks for watching!
Yes this helps a lot! I was about to rip my hair out! Lol
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Cool
What does the advanced settings do?
Thank you kindly!
You are very welcome!!! Thanks for watching.
My XP2.0 is supposed to arrive today!
That’s awesome! Let us know how you like it. Don’t forget you’ll have to add air in the tires. Thanks for watching!
Is the reset odometer the same as resetting the tripA?
Can you just use the settings out of the box?
Great video
Yes you can! But it’s nice to know there are options.
@@sbukosky glad it’s working out for you. Yes, the battery can be a struggle but the more you take it in and out it loosens up a bit!
I’m glad that setting works better for you. Thanks for sharing!
Will advanced setting 08 allow me to up the 14mph max on the XP trike?
That I do not know how that setting works on the trike. Sorry. All I can suggest is try it, if it has no effect, then return it to it original setting. Thanks for watching!
Nice trail, where are you located?
This was filmed at Horseshoe Bend. A Corp of Engineers park in Rogers, AR. We love this park! Thanks for watching!
Great video " very informative. By the way, were did you buy that nice looking seat ?
Do you mean the bike seat? That was from Lectric. Thanks for watching!
Great video, useful video! My XP2.0 was delivered 2 weeks ago, love it but haven't read owner's manual. So I appreciate your walk through
Thanks for watching and glad our video will assist you if needed. Please let us know if there is anything you would like to know.
Howdy from Home Sweet Holly. My wife and I are going to buy two of them in May. Can’t wait to get them.
They are a lot of fun. We are charging our batteries right now so we can get some miles in today. Thanks for watching!😎
@@CompassRoadz We can’t wait!!
@@CompassRoadz Speaking of Charging, once the 2.0 gets here, how long for a total 1st charge?
Since it's a heavy bike, is it difficult to petal alone ?
It’s not that bad, but it can be if you have a lot of hills to navigate without pedal assist..
Nice show man, yeah i need the walk mode to go up hill.
Yep! We use it for the same. Or, whenever we’re out of breath. Lol. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it!
That was very useful! Could I use only pedals without throttle?? Like Ride it like a regular bike, without engaging the motor??
Yes, absolutely! Just make sure you don’t turn the PAS on. The throttle only works if you set the PAS from 1-5. When you turn the bike on, it’s default setting is zero. Thanks for watching!
Watch again. Info is in there. 😊
Thanks for your great video!! What seat do you have on your bike? Would that happen to be the upgraded seat option from Letric? Thanks again for your great video!
Yes that is the upgraded “comfort pkg”Lectric seat. Thank your watching and for your comment.
@@CompassRoadz The $99 Comfy Package is that a 1. Larger Seat & 2. Suspension pole?
Yes! You get both in that package. Thanks for watching!
Good to know, is that the seat that comes with the suspension seat comfort option?
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Eugene mentioned that if you need the default setting information you can call Lectric's Customer Service number.
lew>
Hold up how fast can it go by itself if you change the speed?
If you change it the top speed is supposed to be 28 mph however, the manufacturer claims there’s a +/- 3 kmh variance.
I’ve noted that it does make a difference what type of road I’m driving on (blacktop, concrete, gravel, or dirt). That’s driving at PSA 5. Even a strong headwind or tailwind will make a difference.
What should I fill my tires at 29 psi ?
What do you mean?
Fat tires could be set to 6 psi for soft sand to max see side wall . Always have gauge and tire pump in side bag.
On your monitor, the box next to the PAS is empty. Mine reads "Manual". How do I take the bike out of MANUAL and have the box show nothing, empty? Can you help?
That manual indicates the light is on. Hold the plus (+) and it should turn the light off and make the message disappear. Thanks for watching!
So that was a review of the owner manual which tell exactly the same info.
Pretty much. You’d be surprised how many people just don’t want to read the manual. Miost think a bike is a bike and everything is labeled so why bother reading the instructions to figure out all the features. Thanks for watching!
Is the tire setting subjective or it’s recommendable for a better performance?! Very nice video btw
@@CompassRoadz Lowering your tire pressure as well would change the accuracy as well, wouldn't it?
I would think so. Hmmmm. Maybe there is no accuracy to it.
Does cruise control save battery power?
@@CompassRoadz alrighty thanks!
Also in P08 if you set it at 008km the bike will ride in the slow mode at 5mph
That’s good information! Thanks for watching and for the comment.
@@CompassRoadz ok. It has 3 years and 1400 miles on it in southern Arizona. Think the battery is going bad. Thank you
Vvverryyt useful info especially the walk mode
Thanks! We hope you enjoy using it on your bike if necessary. Thanks for watching!!
It seems you are assuming that no one reads their owners manual. Thanks for your effort any way.
You would be amazed at how many don’t bother looking at the manuals. That’s why we did that. There are those that prefer to watch than read, which I can empathize with. Thanks for watching!
Has anyone tried the walk mode to climb stairs?
Great question and maybe we should do a short for that. Thanks for watching and the comment.
How long did yours take you deliver
@@CompassRoadz oh nice I ordered mine November 27th and it is supposed to come Tuesday
I need a throttle on the left handlebar. Can that be done?
Can you change tire size on all bikes. ? Lol make it go faster.
I honestly don’t know about other bikes but at least this one you can. Thanks for watching!
👍
Thanks for watching!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌
What about p setting 22?
P22, and anything above, isn’t considered a “user” setting. Lectric did not put tide in the Users Manual and adjusting those settings could void any warranty with Lectric. Understanding that, if you still want to play with those settings to experiment, do so at your own risk. I’d recommend writing down what the default setting was first. Thanks for watching!
What are the advanced features?
Here is a blog for some of the settings that Lectric did not include in their owners manual, although some of them don't explain what some are for but they do provide the default for each one. Is there a reason why my throttle don't have any power?
I’m not sure. Has it always been like that since you got it?
It's brand new.I took it for a spin and tried the throttle and nothing.
Why set wheel size to 22 when your tires are 20 inch. I think your stats would not be correct.
You’ll need to change it if you put on a different tire size on. Thanks for watching!
How do lights turn on
You can turn on your front and rear lights by holding the plus (+) button on the control pad. Thanks for watching!
So what is Setting 3?
That's a good question. It's not listed in the Users' Manual. It must be a Lectric secret. Thanks for watching!

I tried tuning it from 32 to 45, I got only 100th number besides the number 32, what is this error or can I fix it?
I’m not quite sure what error you’re getting. Do you have the XP 2.0 eBike?
@@CompassRoadz yes it came a few days ago.
When changing your P08 setting from 32, we’re you able to increase it to 45 and let it stay there until the settings menu timed out to go back to normal mode? Hi, thank you for showing what this wonderful machine can do. I'm a biker. I have set mine up for me. The 11 - 28 T upgrade is a must. 3 X 16" motorcycle tires fit the bike.
We’ve never heard of the 11-28 T upgrade but will check it out. We are novice bikers though and pretty much just ride leisurely. I do bet the motorcycle tires you mentioned will be more durable than the stock. Thanks for watching!
How do you get a 16" tire on a 20" rim?
@@paulp.6399
Theres no such thing as a 20inch rim on a 20 inch wheel ebike.
@@fender1000100 or simply say "an e bike with 20 inch wheels means the tire size, not the rim size.
