Fender rattling fix; loosen all the fender attachment screws and re-tighten them while the fender is centered with the tires. This works almost every time to reduce rattling and may need to be done regularly.
That is an awesome tip! Hopefully others will read your post. If I do another Lectric e-bike video, I’ll try to incorporate that. I’ve just been making the eBike videos when something happens with them or I find something interesting I didn’t know about them. But I think that may just be a good project to do anyway. Thanks for watching!
Completely disagree with the idea of putting better accessories on and raising the price. There are so many after market lights, locks, seats, etc, that are so much better than what Lectic offers. Keep the pice low and let me add what I want.
We can see that point. We just think if there’s an accessory that replaces a standard product that you should be able to make that change when ordering instead of paying for the standard accessory in addition to the upgrade accessories. Thanks for watching!
I agree . Never known such a pair of moaning Minnie's on an e bike video. No one asked them to buy the bike. Why didn't they check all other RUclips videos before they bought duhhh
Simple bungee cords easily hold the bike together when folded. I placed a small folded rug in between the folded sections. Works like a charm to protect the bike paint. My spouse and I are RN’s. We wear helmets.
That’s a great idea! I was worried that bungee cords would still allow too much movement but the folded rug is another great idea. Thanks for watching!
Hey guys. First time seeing you. Thanks for sharing your perspective. My wife and I wear helmets all the time. We use Sena smart helmets with intercom. My wife is a rehab nurse who treats traumatic brain injuries and I’m a firefighter so we err on the side of caution.
Those sound like good helmets to check out. Both you and your wife have some humbling first responder careers. Thank you for your service! We do have helmets and we do use them on the road. It’s just driving around the campground at low speeds when we don’t. Thanks for watching!!!
Gentlemen: Santa delivered two new 2.0's to my garage recently; they're still in the box. So I've spent some time reviewing You Tube to see what the foibles are with the new toys. Which is how I stumbled across your channel. First off, great job. I can understand direct non-sugarcoated language much easier than mumbo-jumbo. I'll be viewing your 11 function video in a bit so keep up the good work! These sale models included four "premium" accessories; the deluxe seat, the better headlight, luggage racks/baskets and a lock as well as the free shipping. I also ordered the mirror kit. No, my baskets haven't arrived yet. As the bikes are still in the box I can't tell you if it's all there or not but we'll see. As an avid touring motorcyclist for over 50 years I was an All The Gear All The Time (ATGATT) guy but fully support your choice to wear or not wear a brain bucket. I "usually" wear a helmet when riding mt regular bike and will probably continue that stance with this machine. I've found that I don't heal as quickly as I once did and I seem to bleed a lot easier too so...... I'll also add I spent almost 40 years in Fire/EMS and I've seen plenty of evidence in favor of wearing a helmet. 25 of those years were with the same USAF y'all served in but I was civilian side as a Firefighter/Fire Officer. Never a day I didn't want to go to work.... I'm typically not a negative comment guy but; your comments frequently mention safety and yada, yada, yada....in the first five seconds of this video you blow through a stop sign; one of my pet peeves is "bikes", in general, not obeying ALL traffic laws and rule of the road. I saw an earlier poster already commented so I'll not elaborate. Thanks for the great video...! Stay safe...!
Thank you for watching. Finally got our set of baskets on 24 Dec. I guess I (Kevin) should elaborate more on the helmet. I don’t feel that while in a campground I need to wear a helmet. The MPH is lower and I just feel it is just as safe. Yes I mention safety A Lot, but for the general public. Me not wearing a helmet doesn’t make it harder to see at night. With a helmet on or off that light is horrible. Yes I do agree that WE ALL should follow all posted signs and we really toiled over putting that part in the video. We knew we would most likely take some heat from it. The camera was on a tripod and I (Kevin) was ensuring it was clear. We will definitely be more responsible about these things in future videos. I hope I didn’t come across too arrogant because that wasn’t the intent of this comment. Thank you for your comment and we really do appreciate your honesty. We hope you had a Merry Christmas and wish you a prosperous New Year.
While I would also hate throwing away a garbage seat, and I appreciate that you shared your complaints, I don't agree with the early gripes in this video. I'm not sure you guys understand the busness side of this sort of thing. Every option you add, and every choice you let the customer make, costs the company money. For example, they don't ship the crappy original seat along with the superior seat because they like it when you throw things away. They ship both because it is cheaper to let you throw one away than it is to change their shipping process to accomodate different orders, even if they get to reuse the original seat. That sucks, but it lowers the price. They ship it with a worse light because many riders don't need anything better. I don't ride bikes in the dark, like, ever. Other people use these exclusively in the city, where street lights take care of most lighting problems. If I planned on taking this camping, and doing a lot of night riding, then I might consider a better light. That will probably never happen. Long story short, you kept saying you'd spend more to get higher quality stuff and customisable orders. You can already do that. There are more expensive bikes on the market. Go buy those. If you order the cheap one, you get the cheap one. That isn't a bug, it's a feature.
Thanks for that insight. You are absolutely correct on the business model for the retailer and we did not really step out of our RV lifestyle to even consider factors that sticks and bricks lifestyle have to their advantage. We chose Lectric because it’s very popular among the RV community and because of its fold ability easier to carry when we are on the move. Now that we’ve had them awhile, and for notable points you and others have made to include our experiences, we are considering selling one of ours and trying another brand. But we will see and share in a future video if we do. Thanks for watching!
I absolutely agree! I was happy to buy add ons for my safety, the price of Lectric with it’s performance is incomparable imo. I purchased led lights, baskets, seats, and with the free items I got it was still under $1300.
Great video. This bike is on my shortlist. So many reviewers seem so enamored of this bike they often forget to mention some of the minor shortcomings. This is valuable information.
Thanks. We didn’t buy into the hype but it is a popular eBike for many RVers. We were looking for one that could fold and this was a good start. Thanks for watching!
Nice video, thanks. We just ordered two Step-thrus, mine is due on Monday and my wife's a few days later. At 68 with two knee replacements my cycling days were all but over. Hopefully these will work well for us. I liked the suggestion about a strap of some sort to hold the bike together when folded. We'll probably looked for a nylon velcro strap, which can double as a hold-down for carrying something on the rack. The only extra swe ordered was the lock. The comfort seat and telescoping mount were included with the sale as part of the current promotion. I'm planning on replacing the seat on my old Specialized trail bike with the included seat before I sell it. Really looking forward to using these bikes on our camping trips.
Congratulations on your new purchase. We hope you and your wife enjoy and make good use of them. Let us know how you like them after you’ve used them a bit and let us know if you have any problems or questions with them. Thanks for watching!!
Definitely keep the entry price as low as possible. Then purchase the pieces or extras that you want. Hindsight is 20/20 but it would have been good to donate the seats to someone who has a broken or wore out seat. My wife and I just ordered two step through models on the Black Friday sale. If we also get the standard seats we will give them to our kids and grandkids I'm sure one of them will use them.
It would have been good to donate the seats you are correct. With living fulltime in an RV space and weight are things we have to consider. So instead of hauling them around we had to ditch them. I say if living in a stick and bricks home we definitely would have donated them. Living in an RV when one thing comes in, then one thing must go.
I love my 2.0 Lectric ebike. We ordered the comfort package when we ordered our bikes. They came installed on the bikes. They also. Had the battery installed in the bike too.
We absolutely love our bikes regardless of how Kevin felt about the seat. Looks like they are starting to listen to their community. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Thanks for watching. Kevin wants to sell his so he can try the Lite XP. He loves the XP 2.0, but he likes the tan color and that it’s 20 pounds lighter. We think you will enjoy them just as we do.😎😎
We bought the Lectric 2.0's and I agree the comfort seat is way better than stock... our stock seats went into boxes and are in our storage unit (We're Full Timers....) Also regarding helmets - ya, we spent the wad on them. Bought the Sena R1 EVO's (creates a mesh network for communications between riders... awesome to be able to just "talk" to each other when riding instead of turning our heads and screaming at each other.... When in a campground - likely NOT to use helmets, but when out on a trail or road, yes. Regarding transport, well, it sucks. Unfortunately, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has a slanted hatch door which makes putting tubs in there side by side AND NOT folding down the rear seats an impossibility. I have to put my XP 2.0 in the jeep laying down on its side, and my wife's bike goes in our Class A RV's underbelly storage tray. Just couldn't get both folded bikes in my RVs tray. But we do love the bikes. Ive heard that you need to keep the batteries from getting too cold, so when it gets freezing we remove the batteries and keep both of them in an insulated area of our coach. Great video guys....
Oh, and also - about your comments about putting padding between the bike halves when folded: We saved a 12' x 12' square of soft white foam packing from each bike box and we use that between the bikes when folding... but I think you could probably go to Home Depot or Lowes and find a soft rubber material to use. I'm thinking of using a pad like that as an underlayment underneath the bikes when underway traveling so they both don't bang up when bouncing around in the storage compartment or in the back of the TOAD.
Hi there Troglegs! First, thanks for watching and we appreciate your comments. We definitely are going to check out your helmets as my frustration is trying to talk with Kevin when we are riding. It’s so hard to hear him and I don’t like to have to yell. You may have provided a great solution for us. If I can convince him to wear a helmet all the time. Again, I’m the campground I’m sure we won’t wear them so I don’t know if there is another solution for us aside from our Bluetooth wireless ear buds. We do bring our eBike batteries into the rv most nights and especially in colder weather. But I’m curious about how you stow your ebikes. You said you lay them in their side for your Jeep and in the underbelly. Are they in a storage tote or loose? We hope you are enjoying the RV life like us and maybe we’ll see you on the road!
What a very informative video guys! Yes the world is a better place with another Kevin in it. Lol we were looking at the 2.0, but now there is a X premium series bike with a hub drive. Now I’m not sure which one would be a better choice?
Kevin liked that comment! We have not experienced the X series bike nor know if personal friends that own one so we can’t really speak as to the pros and cons between the two. Our XP’s are still going strong and we are quite happy with them and their performance for how we use them. We plan on putting as much mileage as we can on ours before we upgrade. Let us know what you decide to do. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your very informative video, I loved it! I've seen you guys before doing a cooking video! Loved that one too. I'm contemplating on buying a Lectric XP Pass Thru 3.0. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh a whopping 340 pounds. I'm a Big Whopper 😂😂. I'm still researching videos to find the ebike perfect for me and my weight. I know that a 750W hub motor would help me much better than the standard 500W hub motor that all Lectric ebikes come with. What do you two gentlemen think or advice me? Thank you, Pepe
Well I (Kevin) the more negative one in the video would like to say thank you for watching and for the comment. If you haven’t joined any of the Lectric Facebook groups I would start there. I would also join any other ebike Facebook groups you may be researching. The Lectric ebikes are definitely great for the price point. Those groups would be very insightful for the concerns/questions you have. Just use the search function to see if any of your questions have been asked before. It may upset the herd because they don’t like seeing repeat questions. It may save you some internet troll sarcasm from some of them😀. The majority are there to help and encourage though. I hope this helps you in your research for the right ebike for you. Thank you again for your comment and for watching.
I was looking for a tote for my Ebike (another brand) with no luck and the one you recommended has just the right dimensions I was looking for. Thank you
This is my first time commenting on youtube. I've watched hundreds of videos but never cared to comment. You guys impressed me, not necessarily on everything you said, but the way you both spoke. Sounds like the common man, two guys that are genuine and enjoy having fun. I agree with the sorry headlight and seat. I wear a helmet for safety reasons. Have a family and must take care of them, don't need a cracked skull. But to each their own. I'm sure you have a good reason for not wearing a helmet. I enjoy riding my Lectric bike at a state park near home, has great bike lanes. Do not care for the trails, too many roots and bumps.
Thanks. I’m (Dan) am the more balanced and try to be politically correct without going overboard. Kevin speaks from the hip and says exactly what he means. We don’t have sponsors that we have to worry about offending. We are both retired military and obviously not trying to please anybody. We try to be as transparent as possible while keeping it “PG” rated on our channel. Thank you so much for watching. We really appreciate it and enjoy sharing our experiences.
You are supposed to go online and order what you want on your bike before you get it! I ordered the comfort seat, step through type😊, and the hydrolic brakes pre installed. I got everything I wanted for the 3.0, plus the long-range battery and accessories!
At 17:20 you mention it takes a couple of revolutions before PAS kicks in. In case you are not aware you can improve the responsiveness of your bike. The factory setting is 3 and you can set it to as low as 1 so that PAS kicks in at about 1/2 to 3/4 of a revolution. Check your manual the adjustment is somewhere in the menu. PS. I saw this in another RUclips video. I have not received my bike as yet so can’t give you anymore detail.
Thank you for that info. We definitely will check our manual. We will do a follow-on video discussing this as well as walk mode. This is good info for everyone. Thank you so much for letting us know as well as our subscribers and those who may not have subscribed, but want to know that information.
@@CompassRoadz It’s Setting: P11, Function: PAS Sensitivity. Default is 3 ... change it to 1 You might also want to fiddle with Setting: P12, Function: PAS Strength. Default is 1. Motor will come on more strongly with higher numbers
@@nvalles2565 Agreed. Once I finally got my XP I found changing the settings is not the way to go. Instead use a little throttle to get going as well as be in a lower PAS and lower gear. That will give you the smoothest start. Changing the settings results in a sudden lurching motion at start up which isn't so smooth and worse a bit dangerous when you are around pedestrians or cars.
I always wear a helmet even though it is not required where I live. Besides safety it prevents sunburn. PS. You should look into Bluetooth Smart Helmets. You’ll be able to talk to each other while riding or answer your phone or listen to music/radio.
That is a great idea! I didn’t know they made them. Talking to Kevin or trying to hear him while we are riding together is very difficult and I hate screaming at him just so he can hear me. Thanks for watching! Just so you know….you are our 500th subscriber so thank you for watching our shenanigans.
@@CompassRoadz Just so you know I found your 2 month take on the Lectric to be interesting even though I didn’t agree with everything. I do agree 100% with your seat headlight argument. It wouldn’t cost Lectric a penny more to include the upgrades standard. PS. I ordered a black Lectric XP 2.0 step thru (Black Friday deal) a few days ago. Should arrive in the dead of winter here in Canada. Already have a Jetson bolt pro. Even though the Jetson is more on the toy grade side it’s been great fun for the money (only $300 at Costco) and ideal for someone on the shorter side like me. I’m looking forward to the increased speed and comfort of my new Lectric.
@@gimpman1357 definitely let us know when you get your Lectric and how you like it. It will be interesting to us what accessories you received with it, and what others you plan on adding.
Yep. The *safety* part of a helmet doesn't necessarily mean protecting your head from a crash situation. The helmets are kind of designed like a baseball hat; they have a brim that helps keep the sun out of your eyes. Maybe that's where some people get confused when they say it blocks their vision. Personally, I don't need to be looking at the sun. Bicycle helmets are also vented so not only do the keep the sun off your head but they allow a breeze. And lastly, I mount a rear view mirror to my helmet so I can see what's approaching from behind. I think it's better than a mirror on the bike because the helmet is with me no matter what bike I'm riding. Now there are those that don't care if the sun is in their eyes, their head is burning or having a need to know what's going around them. Their choice. Or maybe they're just not aware there are some obvious advantages to wearing a helmet besides keeping your skull from crack like an egg.
20 years ago in OUTSIDE Magazine there where 6 Kinetic energy bikes that had a spring, like wind up watch or a Tommy gun magazine and one had a battery and a an alternator,
I think as more eBikes and manufacturers come about, eBikes may become lighter, sturdier, faster, and more efficient in the future. We’re looking forward to that. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely! I (Kevin) think overall the light should definitely be standard. Thank you for watching. With all things considered we definitely would buy these again.
We got a pair for the Black Friday deal with the 4 accessories. I too didn’t like the colors so I used my wife’s Cricut machine and and cut new decals for it plus I put vinyl on the fenders as well.
hey guys I ordered 2 T 7 same bike from Okidas they look identical as the one you got price 949.00 with a powerful headlight / rear light , electric horn, cell phone holder and the rims are like a star type no spokes, and the fenders are plastic, and I choose from three colors which are black white or orange, one week delivery one came in on a Monday and other on Tuesday. free shipping no tax i sad what😮😮😮 to me that was a deal buster, seats are okay with cushion but 🤔I am going to upgrade lol, and took your advice I'm adding slime seal to the wheels thanks for your videos be safe🙋♂️🙋♂️.
@@CompassRoadz my wife and I test them out two times ran around about 10 miles and they work fantastic I like everything about it one thing I noticed on your video when you was repairing the back tire you disconnected the cable this one doesn't have a disconnect it goes directly to where I believe the control box is but then again if the individual is handy and cautious they will be able to manage, like I mentioned the seat is okay and like you said it'll probably work for others but definitely needs an upgrade I had to adjust the gear shifter and the front brakes on one and I think I will have to adjust the gear shifter on other but that is something that I can work with👍🙋♂️🙋♂️.
Yammee has the I-PAS System - which is supposed to essentially charge the battery during use like you mentioned. I have no idea whether it works well or not, i just have been watching a ton of videos trying to find the right ebike and came across that. I really appreciated your video and to be honest, it is the deciding factor for me. Going to buy it right now!
We’ll check ghat out. Kevin knows he was being the negative guy, but he really does enjoy the Lectric. He’s the one always wanting to go riding. Glad you made your decision and we helped you out in that process. Thanks for watching and if there is anything we can show in any future videos please let us know. Dan does have a video coming out this Saturday about some maintenance on the bike. Thanks for watching our video.
We don’t think so, but never really focused on it either. It may be because to keep some frame integrity due to where it’s hinged. I wonder if anybody else has had that same question. We are putting another video together soon and we’ll put this question out there. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Most of us guys choose black, but the black look smaller and I'm 6 foot, so I went with white. It's also safer because a black bike fades into the shadows. I'll bet white is less of a target for theft, as well.
You might be on to something with the theft and the black color fading into shadows. We aren’t sure about the size though. We’ll do some research. Thank you so much for watching and for the comment.
Enjoyed the video. Nobody seems to be showing how you charge the bike. Do you need to fold and pull the battery out to charge it or can you plug it in while bike is unfolded?
You can do both. On the bike there is a port with a little rubber cover you can remove to plug the charger into the battery. If you remove the battery and bring it indoors to charge, the port that is normally covered with that rubber cover when battery is installed is what you plug the charger into if battery is removed. The charger light will turn green when battery is fully charged regardless of which charging method you use. However, we do recommend not leaving the battery plugged in to charge unattended. Just our preference. We never leave them to charge overnight while we sleep. Thanks for the idea we will do a short video on this. Thanks for your question and for watching.
Hi, I'm at 24-25 minutes and you mentioned noisy fenders. Is that still the case? Thanks BTW, I'm not trailering it, just local riding. So like a dummy, I just read about fender issues below.Ant solid answers, or just keep adjusting them? I just ordered a 2.0 step.yesterday. In stock, any opinions on delivery times to Washington state from I guess Arizona?
Yes they will come from Phoenix but they use FedEx to ship so you should see them in less than a week provided they are available. As far as the fenders, some other viewers put their comments about adjusting them to eliminate/reduce some of the stress noise they create. We haven’t tried them yet. Thanks for watching!
I do my bike alone. I bungie the front brake to lock the front wheel. Then I place a piece of thick Styrofoam between the bike halves. After the bike is folded I bungie the two wheels together. This makes it easier to crate.
This is exactly how we decided to do it….we just haven’t done it yet.🤣🤣🤣. We are the biggest procrastinators. Thank you for the great idea and for watching!!!
Great video guys! Love the attention to detail. Ordered mine a week ago, should arrive this week. Got it on sale. Btw you mention accessories, and getting the bike on sale it comes with accessories, is that the case for my situation as well , how does it work?!
Yes!!! I think this past Friday was the last day of the sale you are talking about, or at least to get it by Christmas. The sale said you should get 4 accessories with it. I just checked the website and they’ve already taken the sale info down so I don’t recall exactly what accessories they will be sending. Let us know though when you receive yours. Thanks for watching!
That’s why Kevin want’s to sell his 2.0. He likes his 2.0 but wants a different color. Plus being full time in a RV the less weight and space taken is always a draw.
I drive people around that have suffered head injuries.Olympian tri athlete missed siting in a chair in the office know she’s a quadriplegic.I don’t want to be a killjoy man. I want you to to ride together for ever .You look so happy together. Please don’t be mad .HELMET 🇨🇦❤️🤙
Not mad at all. We do ride with helmets in certain situations now. Around the campground not so much. Out on busy streets we do now. I guess I (Kevin) am working my way into them. I was so adamant about not wearing them, but hurting my knee and recovering slowly has convinced me. Thanks for watching and caring. 😎
Regarding the color of the bikes, may I suggest using self-adhesive sign making vinyl. The same material used by sign shops (and the Cricut machines) in lettering and graphics on signs and vehicles, think of vehicle wraps and everything else imaginable. The vinyl is inexpensive, available in a rainbow of colors, special effects and even reflective for safety, cuts easily with scissors or hobby knife. The vinyl would also protect the original paint from scuffs and scratches, is removable, and easily replaceable. Let your imagination run wild.
That is on the list of things to do now that you gave this awesome advice. Now that we are back in a sticks and bricks and not full-timing in the RV we have the room to do it. Thanks for the comment and watching. - Kevin
Bike helmets, I got two, never wear them, dumb, I know. Usually, I only drive a mile or so. Certain weekends I've driven 30 miles [twice] On a KBO Beeze. At pas 2 [15mph] Iget 56+ miles Sold it yesterday and purchased a 2.0 today Most of my trips are under 5 miles total though. Even a cruise is usuallly under 10 miles, so the 2.0 will be fine.
We wear our helmets very sporadically. Kevin most of the time does not. We don’t think it’s dumb not to wear one. We think it’s a personal choice that each person makes. Kevin gets pretty livid over strangers trying to make health decisions for him like shaming him for not wearing a helmet. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
I have the XP 2.0 Step-thru, and bought a Craftsman 55 Gallon Tote for my Ford Edge. I will use Velcro straps and Styrofoam from Lectric's Shipping Box,
We didn’t purchase the extended warranty. I haven’t come across anyone that has purchased it and actually used it. That said, we just usually don’t purchase any extended warranties for anything. Thanks for watching! Did you get a Lectric bike?
Yep. The *safety* part of a helmet doesn't necessarily mean protecting your head from a crash situation. The helmets are kind of designed like a baseball hat; they have a brim that helps keep the sun out of your eyes. Maybe that's where some people get confused when they say it blocks their vision. Yes there are advantages beyond the crash situation of a helmet. We wear helmets depending on our terrain and surroundings. That being we still go helmetless about 75% of the time. Everyone has different comfort zones and we are no different. If in traffic with autos it is a must now. We usually don’t like riding on major roads though. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Excellent but yes by now u know there are 3.o s we’ll still a down to earth great review thanks I’m looking at the new 3 .o enjoy hey by the way there. Our new helmets that you can talk to each other with and they’re pretty good looking helmets check it out. They’re pretty good looking on RUclips and yes I would wear a helmet on a motorcycle rider. I came off once bounce my head on the ground got right back up and had a great time riding the rest of the day. Otherwise I probably would’ve been putting some stitches in my head. Also if you’re doing 10 to 15 miles an hour on a bicycle trust me you hit the ground and you’re gonna say I wish I had a helmet. All you have to do is just touch your head to the ground and it’ll wake you up. It will hurt. It’ll be something you’ll have to recover from. You may get a concussion when you have a helmet you get right back up and look at the scratches and go. Oh wow I’m telling you now with your age both of you I’m 66 and I’m pretty healthy and I get around real good. Both of you are younger looks like anyway in this video wear a helmet wear a helmet wear a helmet. Oh did I just say wear a helmet. You’ll live longer trust me you actually most people will look at you as smarter person’s for doing so wear a helmet. Enjoy your life.
Josephine, you are absolutely right about wearing helmets. Even at 15 mph there is a huge impact if you fall and hit your head on the ground. Even worse, we may be riding without feeling in danger but another vehicle may not see you and we can’t control other drivers. Thanks for the advice and we will take heed. We are glad your enjoying the 3.0. We haven’t upgraded yet. However, we have another bike that we may be showcasing in the near future if all goes well. Thanks for watching!
How much side movement (wiggle) is their in the electric suspension upgrade seat, what is the best seat and post you recommend for a person that is 250lbs, thanks
I’m about 220 and I didn’t notice any side wiggle with the suspension post. It fits in nicely tight and there’s a collar lock to keep it in place. But I didn’t notice any difference from the stock to the suspension post at all. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2.0 and my gripes are that the black color is really a dark blue, and why didn’t they use plastic fenders that wouldn’t require those ugly support bars and reduce overall weight, it should have an 11/34 freewheel, and (nitpick) the color of the lever to unlock and fold could be more subtle. I disagree on putting on the premium parts, for example the light - what if someone never panned to ride at night. My biggest question is the seat. It seems fine to me what’s so bad about it? Everyone seems to not like it what am I missing?
We agree there could have been a better way to design the fenders. It doesn’t look nice and streamlined. As far as the seat, we may have bigger bottoms than you and with our weight it just feels hard and we feel it when we hit bumps. The new seat bounces and is wider for our wide bottoms. Lol 😂 Thanks for watching!
I don't mind buying a seat and seat shock on Amazon along with a better light. The squeaky fender would bother me. If I'm going to take it off, I might as well buy the $800 Lectric with no fenders. I like the price point, but is it better to get a Rad Commuter or Avaton, etc. and pay the money? There are so many bikes to choose from, it's hard to decide.
It would probably take about thirty hours of cycling to charge the battery half way. The most amount of electricity a typical person could generate continuously is around 100 watts. But the conversion to battery charge would only be about 30 percent at best. So regenerative charging on an e-bike doesn't make much sense. What might be better would be a little tiny propane generator, lol.
@@CompassRoadz The XP Lite was tempting. But I just ordered a pair of XP 2.0. I chose that model because they are a little heavier and probably will do better for my wife and I. I was concerned about 500w not being enough and 375w is probably too small. The Lite model looks good for teens and young adults. Update: we've had the bikes a few weeks now, so much fun. My wife and I have been tearing up the little village we live in. We bought them to visit state parks this summer. We can only handle about a forty-five minute ride right now, numb hands and cranky buttocks lol. But we are working our way up. Anyway the bikes are a blast. I even tried the Class 3 setting, too fast. My wife says, "I haven't ridden a bike in 7 years and didn't expect to enjoy it so much". I'm thankful because that's was a boatload of cash for the bikes and all the accessories.
Sometimes you were unintentionally quite comical... particularly about the color of the bike. I just assumed they're producing the bike in trademark colors. That's just their trademark. But I got a good laugh when you said about your channel colors being black and white. What are you, the newspaper? The hills in Branson... that's actually where I taught my wife about using the L gears on the transmission for going down steep hills. Great information overall.
you said to talk about when you where bike helmets and i where them all the time because i did crash on my friends ebike and i did not have one and i did get pretty hurt so i do recommend helmets all the time for at least ebikes
Nothing wrong with wearing them at all. We definitely don’t discourage anyone from wearing a helmet. We just don’t wear them all the time. If we are in a heavy traffic area we would definitely put them on. Of course anything can happen anywhere at anytime so the best bet is to wear them. We haven’t rode ours in awhile. We have stopped our full time RV living and bought a house. We plan to go back to RVing part time in a couple years.
When we first got them and trying to film when the PA kicked in….🤣🤣🤣🤣I am sure we looked crazy. Almost was force fed the concrete🤣. Thanks for watching. Kevin really isn’t that negative he just drew the short straw for this video.
I have a Lectric 1.0. I used to hassle the guys at Lectric to make a "Lectric xp 2". Then they did. I envisioned it having 1000w motor 26x4 tires, 100 mile range... meh.
@@Srrrrrrr... Yes, 100 miles is the theoretical limit. I would expect that you could achieve this on flat ground with zero throttle use in Pas 1. 50 miles should be the theoretical minimum on the XPremium. Because it does not use cadence sensing it cannot be used in a throttle only mode, as the Lectric hub motor bikes can. On the XPremium, if you don't pedal, you don't get any motorized assistance, if I am understanding correctly. That makes a comparison of mid drive and hub drive practically impossible.
@@ivermec-tin666 I get about 22 miles on a single charge (one battery) staying in pas 3 - 5 and maybe throttle 60 percent of the time. There's a 3/4 mile long hill in front of where I live. I can go up it ~14 mph sitting down. I can go down it at ~38 mph.
I’ll just mention 2 things I wish the 3.0 was a taller frame as there is a step through, but to be honest the regular one is practically a step through in itself. If you are close to 5’ tall it would feel, and work great in getting a full length extension without having to either raise the seat 2’, and possibly still not be able to achieve proper bicycle form. Also more amps say 14-16amps at 48V. A 52V would be better for sure, but beggars Lol One way to achieve/solve these issues for average, and taller people is mid part of the bike where the battery is at the moment simply make it taller to put in the extra batteries extending the square structure 3-4” higher. That way the seat too is now at a higher part in the back allowing one to raise the seat at a reasonable length Not looking goofy sitting on the bike at anywhere near 6’ providing a decent amount of help to the motor.
Adding extra space for extra batteries would significantly increase the weight. For some that may not be a deal breaker, but for others that would turn them off. In these days of increased fuel prices we see these bikes getting even more popular as people look for alternatives for transportation.
You and Lectric are both wrong for the idea of just "swapping out the seats when you upgrade before it ships". Most people have said they would like the original seat as well. Why? Because the seats work on different bikes. If I upgrade my bike or sell it, I can take the seat to the next one. Same with add on mirrors, racks, etc...
One could always swap the seat from the new bike to the old bike and vice versa. Unless you upgrade to a bike with no seat. If you watched the entire video you would know that we are full-time RV’ers so space and weight are valuable. We can’t keep things we don’t use. Thank you for the comment and for watching.
I've had my Lectric 2.0 step thru , 2 yrs now , I love ❤️ my bike 🏍 , But , But , they replaced my motor at the end of the first year. They were great . I am asked at least 20 times a day about it. I'm a walking commercial for them for free . But now my 2nd motor not on warranty this time and it's sucks . I don't want to buy a new motor for $300 bucks . I'm gonna have to do something?
Wow, 2 years! We’re still not quite a year yet so we haven’t had any problems yet. But we’ll definitely be on the lookout for it though. Thanks for watching!
I agree with you guys. I might wear a helmet riding in traffic (which I don't do) but on an easy trail... no way. Like you said, folks are riding motorcycles on the highway w/o a helmet. Rode my whole life without one. Hate to even say what we did as kids back in the dark ages. There's always some Karen trying to control you today.... for your own good. :)
When something goes South you don't have time to put your helmet on. I was riding my mountain bike about 20 miles an hour on a wide paved berm on the side of the road. The sun visor on my cool looking helmet didn't allow me to see the guy pull off in front of me and I went through his back window. I was out of work for three months and came close to being addicted to powerful pain medication. (Another story). If I ever get my bike that I purchased two months ago I don't think I will find an excuse for not having a helmet on. (FedEx sucks)
Oh wow! Yeah now that we aren’t full-time rv’ers anymore (and it being winter) we haven’t road in awhile. These crowded roads here we have already said we would wear a helmet. We still don’t wear them all the time.
Kevin has since changed his mind on a helmet. In the park he’ll not wear it, but out on the busy roadways he will. He almost got taken out by a side mirror from a F-450.
Great question! We got one about a week after ordering and the other a few days later. This was last November. I’d join one of the Lectric Facebook groups if you’re not already a member and search the group and see what others may have experienced. Thanks for watching and for the comment. This bike is great for the money. We still love ours and the negative things are by far out weighed by the positive things.
Mine right out of the box was TERRIBLE, squeaking, brakes yelling, the disc adjustable screw on back tire installed wrong and I cant access. $1200 spent bike looks great but embarrassing to ride around with those noises. Would i buy again? NO. The company said 100 miles to break it in and see if noises are gone, sorry buy when i buy a car or anything else over $1k i want perfect out the box. I was very excited about the purchase but not anymore
Wow! Have you reached out to Lectric about the problems? I know they don’t have a favorable return policy but hopefully with their 1 year warranty they would have someone look and fix the problem. Please let us know if they help at all or if the noises go away with use. Thanks for watching.
Your suggestions make sense, but they would hurt their profit margin and price some people out. You may be willing to spend the extra cash but others are not. Accessories make it easier to customize, the yeah having to toss out the seat is kind of wasteful, maybe they can improve things when supply chains are better.
9:03 I have to disagree with you guys here, I think the batteries are WAY too small. for the 300 dollars that Lectric charges for their replacement you can buy a 3rd party battery pack 2x bigger. It's just another sneaky way to gain more $$$.
We haven’t run into anyone that has used a 3rd party battery yet. I agree that when the time come to replace it, I’d like to try a 3rd party one if it is considerably cheaper. But I’d like to find someone that uses it and can tell us if they notice any performance difference between the two.
@@CompassRoadz I know from my comments it seems like I dislike the bike, but actually I love it! It suffers from that common trope of late stage capitalism however, Viz: it is a good product *just* shy of greatness. Lectric if you're reading this, hire me. Not because I'm qualified, but because I'm not. And I use your bike daily. (the white Step through 2.0 model.)
@@robk1310 absolutely I would wait until the warranty is over before making my modifications or changing things not covered by their normal or extended warranty if purchased.
I bought this bike and I am honestly not impressed. The fenders rub and so do the brakes. I go two miles on this bike without pedaling at all and the energy bar is down to half. Company wants me to film the noise. How about send the bike out with no problems instead?
Sorry to hear you’re having problems as well. Are you going to film the noise for the company? We’d be interested in hearing how that goes for you. Thanks for watching!
We haven’t, but we’ll check the Facebook group. I bet someone or more have had that issue. I (Kevin) have been seeing some broken frame latches lately via the FB group though. If you’re not a member there we encourage you to check it out. There is a lot of helpful people there with a plethora of information. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Some have had their handlebars slide down, but they easily fixed it by tightening the stem clamp thumb screw. As for the frame I haven’t seen anything while riding, but some have wrapped double sided velcro around the frame and latch for more security while riding.
You said "DON'T LIKE after 2 months of usage" where is that? I waited for it or did I miss it. If you said it tell me which index or what time you guys said it. (Or it is a catch!)
Bal Loney, thank you for watching our Lectric eBike video. We watched the video again but we aren’t sure what you’re referring to. Are you referring to the verbiage in the title? The video was made after we had used the eBikes for 2 months and we spoke about what we liked and didn’t like about them i.e. the stock seats, lights, way they didn’t secure when folded etc. If you are referring to something else, please let us know. Thanks!
15:20 there should be a way to lock a folding bike in either folded or unfolded position. Also why is the key in the BOTTOM of the bike? That's super counter intuitive.
Regenerative braking? That may feed the battery. I forget which bike review I was watching. Higher end bikes usually. It’s your head. But…I wouldn’t ride without a helmet. I’ve ridden road bikes and motorcycles ( soooo many years…), and hit the ground on both. Sometimes with help from other vehicles.
We’ve started to see other reviews of bikes that offer regenerative braking. I don’t think it’s to the stage where it will generate more power than used while biking but it may make your ride last longer. Thanks for watching!
Just went through our owners manual for the 2.0 and it never said 20 psi. However, it does say to refer to the tire sidewall for proper inflation psi. Our tires that came with both of our XP 2.0’s state 30 psi on the sidewall. I am sure there are variables that change like which model bike you have and tire width. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
The Rattan also looks like a great bike. Unfortunately we have not had any experience with them nor know of anyone personally that has one. You may have to search on RUclips for the “Rattan vs Lectric“ and see if you can find any side-by-side comparisons. But whichever you choose, make sure it is the best option for your particular situation whether it be features, weight, size, comfort, storage, or transporting etc. Thanks for watching and we hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Keep in mind that the wattage rating for a motor is kind of misleading. At full throttle the Lectric motor draws 19 amps, so with a 48 volt battery it consumes 19 x 48 = 912 watts. That's the output you use for going up hills and the motor can output that for maybe 5-10 minutes.. The 500 watt rating is for CONTINUOUS draw and is based on how much heat the motor can dissipate. In other words, not that much of an everyday difference between 500 and 750 watts for climbing city hills and such.
That’s good to know. We don’t know all the science behind it like that but others may understand how that works out when trying to compare other eBikes against the Lectric to make a good shopping decision. Thanks for watching and providing that input.
Some people would rather get the bike, then buy accessories as they can afford them. Perhaps you should drop some more of your own money on a higher end bike👍
Thank you. Others have shared your same view. We appreciate your comment. We understand our review isn’t like others. We don’t think an upgraded headlight (that is $49 on the Lectric website) is gonna break the bank for those already buying a bike over $900. The seat Kevin might of done differently and bought cheaper from another store. The seat is a luxury item, but the headlight upgrade should be standard in our opinion.
If you have ever dumped any bike whatsoever, you will realize a bike helmet will save or at least prevent you from becoming a vegetarian. Check that, vegetable 🥕
Yes, I (Kevin) am very aware of what “could” happen if I don’t wear a helmet. I am also aware I can dump a bike and not get hurt at all. I don’t try to persuade others to NOT wear a helmet. I managed to make it to my 40’s without a helmet. I think I’ll be fine and if not, you are more than welcome to give the “told you so” speech. I have the same chance of getting hurt with or without wearing a helmet. Everyone goes to the extreme! Why do most people think that a head injury is all you could possibly get?
I have had my bike from March 2022 also have 1600 miles on my bike same brakes too. The idiot said no helmet is a idiot ! I was hit from a chick and landed on my head, that helmet saved me !! So use the helmet !!
We thank you for your concern, but as grown men we believe we can make our own decisions. Idiots or not, it is our right right to choose. Sorry you were hit, but glad you are ok. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
5:09 yeah I have the comfort seat too, and yeah the other seat is literally the worst seat I have ever had on a bike. I feels like it's just made of rock. Terrible.
Yeah, the stock one is definitely an inferior product for what one pays for that bike. I could see if it was a regular bicycle for a few hundred bucks.
That guy on the left is wrong on the accessories for sure. Not everyone needs a better seat or comfort bar as they may weight less than him. Maybe not everyone rides at night and needs a better light. It’s cheaper to upgrade yourself and honestly that’s half the fun. Keep cost low otherwise there are better bikes if you hike the price.
As the guy on the left if you can afford a $1K bike then another few bucks for a better seat and light isn’t gonna hike the price astronomically. However, I fully understand wanting to customize to ones liking. I may not be 100% right, but I’m not 100% wrong either. Weight doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with comfort and the more “padding” would indicate more comfort if it did. Thank you for your comment and for watching.
Congratulations on your purchase. We love Maine! We wished we had these last summer when we were there. It is nice to ride together, but sometimes we argue over the route. Maybe you can find a group to ride with on the Lectric Facebook group. There are a few groups on Facebook. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
You’re the first one to notice. We were filming that shot in our campground. We filmed in a slow part of the day where we didn’t have any traffic to worry about. But yes, at a stop sign we should stop and look both ways before proceeding according to traffic laws!
I just googled them and you’re right, some if them are out there. It looks like they use the braking system to regen, much like electric cars. But I saw a discussion regarding regen from cycling but it requires a separate drive train. I’m sure Lectric didn’t want to add the extra expense and weight to their existing models but I definitely see applications for that technology for certain users. Thanks for watching!
We are definitely out of shape, as you can see in our videos, but there is a considerable difference between the standard seat and the comfort seat. Thanks for watching!
Please donate your unwanted accessories to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. I would not go on a road without a helmet. Yes, they are sweaty and such. But, I have known too many people who have been injured in collisions on two wheeled thingies. The brain is a delicate organ.
For all u pro helmet folk out there,,,why not just were a Helmut and mask as soon as u leave the house...I mean anything can happen right...and why don't runners wear them, there going about the same speed...and for all you hospital workers that have seen it all, why not wear a motorcycle helmut they are way safer....sorry for the rant, just my thoughts
Although we think SOME of the helmet comments are with good intentions. Then there are some that are over the top. It was refreshing to read yours. As adults it’s great that we can make these decisions for ourselves. Thanks for watching!
Just Saying, I agree totally with Your prospective on this issue of helmets for bicycles, but on the other hand I used to ride a Yamaha motorcycle and constantly rode at speeds over 100 miles per hour, I always wore a helmet, for comfort not for safety, If a person is worried about being hurt, Just stay home and Bake Cookies. Usually that is quite safe.
Great review and great tip on fenders, have not received my bike yet, looking toward as weather finally getting nice.
Thanks for watching! No doubt you’ll like yours as much as we do.
Bundling is how they usually jack you as well, as long as generic aftermarket can be assembled to the bike you shouldn't be bundling.
@@CompassRoadz I see your point as well, I mean how much more does it really cost for a better LED light? lol
I agree . Never known such a pair of moaning Minnie's on an e bike video. No one asked them to buy the bike. Why didn't they check all other RUclips videos before they bought duhhh
Have a great day! The irony of moaning and groaning about others moaning and groaning is hilarious. Please feel free to make your own video.
Thanks for watching!
i’m so
Yes George, thank you for your services as well.
That works I’m sure other eBike manufacturers have the same things to add on. The price point is probably comparable for their bikes.
Excellent points on upgrades!
We appreciate that. Thanks for watching!
Gr8 Review Guys!
Bottom line start with better seat, light, and plastic tub, thx. We're really thinking this may be the bike for us.
Cheers,
Eric
Thank you, enjoyed your video. I did order a helmet, this is my first e-bike. I can’t wait for it to arrive.
Awesome! Let us know how you enjoy it when it arrives. Thanks for watching!
Thank you,
Pepe
@@CompassRoadz Thank you, Kevin! I will go to Facebook and look. Thank you again!!
My pleasure.
I was looking for a tote for my Ebike (another brand) with no luck and the one you recommended has just the right dimensions I was looking for. Thank you
Glad we could help. Thanks for watching!
Everything you guys said that they needed to give you with the bike you guys hit it out the park 👍🏼👍🏼👊🏽👊🏽💥👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks a lot! You just gave us a boost of confidence today! Thanks for watching and safe travels yourself!
Default is 3 ... change it to 1
You might also want to fiddle with Setting: P12, Function: PAS Strength. Default is 1. Motor will come on more strongly with higher numbers
We will check that out. We may even put out a short video about the options a available and how to change them. Thanks again!
I just use the throttle to help start. Especially at intersections.
I chose the ST because it’s available in white and separates it from all the other black ebikes. Yes, color options would be nice.
Now that XP Lite is out I think it has different colors. Not 100% on that. Kevin wants to sell his 2.0 and get the XP Lite
Def agree with them putting the premium accesories as standard like you said especially when it comes to a safety related item like the lights
How cool!!! Would love to see pics.
hey guys I ordered 2 T 7 same bike from Okidas they look identical as the one you got price 949.00 with a powerful headlight / rear light , electric horn, cell phone holder and the rims are like a star type no spokes, and the fenders are plastic, and I choose from three colors which are black white or orange, one week delivery one came in on a Monday and other on Tuesday. free shipping no tax i sad what😮😮😮 to me that was a deal buster, seats are okay with cushion but 🤔I am going to upgrade lol, and took your advice I'm adding slime seal to the wheels thanks for your videos be safe🙋♂️🙋♂️.
Sounds great. We never heard of Okidas but let us know how you like it. We may have to check them out. Thanks for watching!
I just bought mine. Do u think the pedals are too far back?? Like behind your feet???
We don’t think so, but never really focused on it either. It may be because to keep some frame integrity due to where it’s hinged. I wonder if anybody else has had that same question. We are putting another video together soon and we’ll put this question out there. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Thanks guys thinking about getting one great review so far 👍🏾
You’re welcome! Let us know if you do get one and what you think of it. Thanks for watching!
@@CompassRoadz will do love the Ozark as a Missourian stay safe folks
Most of us guys choose black, but the black look smaller and I'm 6 foot, so I went with white. It's also safer because a black bike fades into the shadows. I'll bet white is less of a target for theft, as well.
You might be on to something with the theft and the black color fading into shadows. We aren’t sure about the size though. We’ll do some research. Thank you so much for watching and for the comment.
I’ve seen the commercial for These bikes looks fun
We have enjoyed them in the campgrounds we've visited. Thanks for watching!
PROBLEM? No, but sure hate the "blind" placement of the key/ignition position. Needs to be more accessible!
That is one of my biggest pet peeve’s. It’s so hard to find. Thanks for watching!
@@CompassRoadz Wonderful thank you! Great video
You are very welcome. Thank you😎
Hi, I'm at 24-25 minutes and you mentioned noisy fenders.
Thanks for the update, I don't mean anything by it. I think you're great people.!
You know just an idea but you could always take your bikes and get them outer coating a custom paint job To your liking to make them your own
Absolutely! May do that now that we have decided to stay put for a few months. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Thanks for watching!
the new Lectric Lite is my choice because it's 20lbs lighter and folds up the smallest
Thank you for your advice, I’m a safety first guy, so pro helmet.
You’re welcome. Nothing wrong with wearing a helmet at all. I guess for me (Kevin) it will be more situational now.
I will use Velcro straps and Styrofoam from Lectric's Shipping Box,
That’s what we should’ve done. Repurpose what you got. 😎
Is the Extended Warranty that LECTRIC sells with their XP2.0, worth buying?
We didn’t purchase the extended warranty. I haven’t come across anyone that has purchased it and actually used it. That said, we just usually don’t purchase any extended warranties for anything. Thanks for watching! Did you get a Lectric bike?
Yep. The *safety* part of a helmet doesn't necessarily mean protecting your head from a crash situation.

Mine came with Velcro holding them together.
What was held by Velcro? The bike or helmet?
Lol 😂
Thanks for watching!
There are so many different bikes and options. You just have to find the one that meets your needs the best. Thanks for watching!
How about a bungee cord to hold frame together when folded?
I don’t know if a bungee cord will be strong enough to keep it folded but I haven’t tried that. Thanks for watching!
Lol. That might help keep you out on the road longer. What do you think about the XP Lite? Thanks for the comment and for watching.
Ordered mine already in January. Can’t wait for decent weather! I would like to make a gun rack for it. See y’all out there !
Awesome! If you make that gun rack we would really like to see it. Thanks for watching.
I would like to see it also and how to strap a metal detector on...
We look forward to seeing the mods you all make. I wonder if any of the Facebook groups have any of these modifications. I’ll have to go check it out.
Thank you for watching. Yeah those hills in Branson are no joke.
you said to talk about when you where bike helmets and i where them all the time because i did crash on my friends ebike and i did not have one and i did get pretty hurt so i do recommend helmets all the time for at least ebikes
"damn near eat concrete" lol mine just arrived today!
I envisioned it having 1000w motor 26x4 tires, 100 mile range... meh.
They say they listen to their customers. Maybe they will feature that in 3.0. Lol Thanks for watching!
Lectric is committed to folding bikes, that means small tires. The new XPremium has a 100 mile range, but it is huge and heavy. Tradeoffs.
@@ivermec-tin666 Cool, but I bet that 100 miles wouldn't happen in anything but pas 1. Gonna be a long trip. 😴
A 52V would be better for sure, but beggars Lol
One way to achieve/solve these issues for average, and taller people is mid part of the bike where the battery is at the moment simply make it taller to put in the extra batteries extending the square structure 3-4” higher.
Thank you sir 🇨🇦👍
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
I think hydraulic brakes would help with some region system
Unfortunately I'm mechanically challenged, but it sounds like a viable solution.
Our thoughts exactly. Thanks for watching!
Use punchy straps that way they won’t open up on you when you pick them up if you’re a person by yourself
That sounds like a great idea. A punchy strap or a bungee cord would make it easier. Thanks for watching!
Wear it if you want, I'm good though. Thanks guys.
Kevin has since changed his mind on a helmet. In the park he’ll not wear it, but out on the busy roadways he will. He almost got taken out by a side mirror from a F-450.
Can anybody mention how long it took the bike to arrive after ordering?
Great question! We got one about a week after ordering and the other a few days later. This was last November. I’d join one of the Lectric Facebook groups if you’re not already a member and search the group and see what others may have experienced. Thanks for watching and for the comment. This bike is great for the money. We still love ours and the negative things are by far out weighed by the positive things.
@@CompassRoadz thanks!
Very true. Thank you for a different point of view.
Thanks for the info on the tote. Thumbs up
Absolutely. It works well for our needs.
We understand your position as we feel the same. Great bike! Great customer service as well.
3rd party battery voids warranty of the bike. Wait till warranty period is over before getting a cheap Chinese replacement battery.
Does anyone who own one have any issues with handlebars coming lose during riding or the frame folding in while riding?
Thanks!
THe XPremium with 100+ miles range is 75 lbs. But its double the range of the XP 2.0
We’ve heard a lot of good things about the XPremium. Thanks for your comment and watching.
I gave the original seat to Red White and Blue thrift :)
We would’ve loved to donate them.
15:20 there should be a way to lock a folding bike in either folded or unfolded position. Also why is the key in the BOTTOM of the bike? That's super counter intuitive.
I agree that trying to find that keyhole is not easy at all. Especially in the dark!
Don't know but maybe so water doesn't get into it.?
It also serves as a battery lock, to hold it in place. Might also help keep it from being snapped off.
Im big guy 400bls. I dont really9
wanna buy cheap if its for my own comfort. I have a hitway h5 stepthough bike.
My owners manual says inflate 20 psi
Just went through our owners manual for the 2.0 and it never said 20 psi. However, it does say to refer to the tire sidewall for proper inflation psi. Our tires that came with both of our XP 2.0’s state 30 psi on the sidewall. I am sure there are variables that change like which model bike you have and tire width. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
I've been looking at the rattan 750w bike looks cool and more power theb lectric xp not sure what's better though 🤔
Stay on your purpose boys, 👌🤔
Thanks for the feedback and we’ll work to improve the editing and try not to go on tangents in the future. Thank you for watching.
One nasty fall without your helmet will change your mind if you crack your skull open. People always believe its not going to happen to them.
You’re absolutely right and although we haven’t had any falls yet, we’ve been wearing them more often now. Thanks for watching!
I live in Maine and just recently purchased the Lectric 2.0. And I have no one to ride with. Must be nice to have a partner in crime.
For $200 more you can get the 2.0
We have the XP 2.0. Kevin wants to sell his and get the new XP Lite. Plus we can do a comparison.
Donate the seats to Goodwill, geez.
That’s a great idea. Thanks!
Did you just blow through a stop sign in the intro?????????
You’re the first one to notice. We were filming that shot in our campground. We filmed in a slow part of the day where we didn’t have any traffic to worry about. But yes, at a stop sign we should stop and look both ways before proceeding according to traffic laws!
there are regen ebikes
I just googled them and you’re right, some if them are out there. It looks like they use the braking system to regen, much like electric cars. But I saw a discussion regarding regen from cycling but it requires a separate drive train. I’m sure Lectric didn’t want to add the extra expense and weight to their existing models but I definitely see applications for that technology for certain users. Thanks for watching!
Best seats that I have gotten on a bike besides a motorcycle, in my opinion. You must be not fit.
We are definitely out of shape, as you can see in our videos, but there is a considerable difference between the standard seat and the comfort seat. Thanks for watching!
Dan ,you Have to listen to him ? …… who would ask you ?
I’m confused by this comment.
Why is it not color display? So annoying
That is a great idea for the next iteration of this bike. Kevin said he would like to see different wheels offered as well.
Please donate your unwanted accessories to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.
I would not go on a road without a helmet. Yes, they are sweaty and such. But, I have known too many people who have been injured in collisions on two wheeled thingies. The brain is a delicate organ.
We will definitely start donating to Goodwill where we can. We seem to always have a donation station around. Thanks for watching!
Riding any bike without a helmet ⛑ is stupid.
Opinions vary! Thanks for watching!
What? So you review storage bins and other BS...Nothing about the actual bike.
Can’t argue at all with that logic.
Can’t argue with that logic. Thanks for watching and your comment.
are you two rich gay guys?
We aren’t rich.
