We recommend using the questions about fit as a time to “test” that companies customer service. See how their customer service is generally and if you like the answers they give. Lectric has one of the more accessible customer services we have found. It is tough for us to do that for every ebike. Especially because every rider prefers a different fit and feel.

I sure wish I had the bigger battery today as I went for a 20 mile ride in Moab quite a bit of it on jeep trails. Coming out it used the battery up pretty quick and I walked up hills and rode some for 7 miles. I’m worn out and disappointed they put a 9.6ah battery when the previous model had a 10.8ah 😡. I still like the bike and the view of the green river canyon was worth it.

The $500 isn’t scaring me away, but would like to ask… How many years do you think the upgraded battery will last? $500 over 3 years is pretty reasonable, but for 1, not so much. Thanks for making the video. Very informative.
Most battery's service life is based upon charge cycles. Lectric's batteries are rated for 800 cycles. So 3-5 years is a reasonable life expectancy. Also note that length of service is until you begin to notice degradation, not until the battery will completely die on you. -JT
They really should consider lowering the price of the battery for those who own the bike. They've had to put up with range anxiety for long enough, maybe some kind of trade-in plan.
was about to order the standard and then Indiana gave us a $200 rebate so I sprang for the LR. have had it for 3 weeks now just hit the 100 mile mark went for 35 miles in pas 2 with 60% battery left

When are they going to come out with the 750 watt motor? I'm at275 lb and it struggles a little bit to reach 20 miles an hour. It would be great if they would have a 750 watt model with a 15 amp hour battery for 1300 bucks.
I'm a big boy and I've stuck the cargo package and other equipment on top. I'm definitely pushing the weight limit and at pas 4 it kicks to 20 no biggie. I'm 270 as well. Maybe contact lectric because that motor should be doing it. Unless you're in a hilly area
Any real world numbers yet owners have on the range of the 14ah battery? If it is close to Lectric's proclaimed 35 mile range on PAS 3, it would make paying the extra 200 bucks worth it to me.
We are going to be a doing a range test soon. But we have no reason to believe that the number is not accurate. Just know that Lectric's range numbers are using a 180lbs rider and on completely flat ground. -JT

I'm an original Xp fat tire owner. The biggest problem with all Lectric bike is the CHEAP CHARGER that will ruin your battery in no time if you leave it plugged in overnight or longer. It overcharged my battery to a dangerous level where it was about 180° and could have started a fire in my house. So, 500 miles on the bike and they are selling a $500 battery that will be ruined by a CHEAP CHARGER. I'm very disappointed in Lectric for not having a charger that turns off automatically at the correct level of charge.
The BMS inside the battery controls charge, what amps is the cheap charger?, I find most stock chargers are 2A, I bought a fan cooled charger from AliExpress that is supposedly 2.5A, I think it's more like 4A since the charging time is almost 1/2 of the stock charger, it still shuts off showing green and fan stopped
