- Even though the Shanghai Tower ranks number two in terms of height, it still hold the record for the highest observation platform as well as the World's Fastest elevator.
I want to see the shaft and the motor room!
Yesss
Spoken like a true tradesman
"I want to see the shaft"
-Thats what she said
Sounds like the words of a fellow Lift Technician?
@@TwoWheelerSparky Yup!
Fun fact, this elevator is faster than the tower of terror.
God that was fun. I remember lifting my butt off the chair on the way down on purpose so that while it’s falling you literally feel weightless and as if you’re falling mid air. So fun 😂
This is the fastest elevator in the world for now, and it goes up to 18 m/s by going up, and goes up to 10 m/s by going down which is insane, but I had been here during christmas recently, and there are three elevator cars there.
@2:32 - A duck is killed.
"You can see for miles" ....except for the choking clouds of pollution that happen every day.
bro still lives in 2012
Don't forget to ride the Shanghai Maglev train while you are there!
Well that escalated quickly
😂
Good one......
That did escalate so quickly, but it does go like 18 m/s and it just does feel the acceleration, but my ears only popped a little when going up and down, and not so hard which just feels like taking a subway, high-speed train, or an airplane.
I see you're in an elevated mood...
Imagine a 115 floor school with these elevators and they still make you take the stairs to the top floor in only 5 minutes
Haha, read the subtitles when they're going up the elevator when the female in the background starts talking
Imagine if you could see through the floor. 😱🤢🤮💀
The video made me nervous just looking down from the observation deck lol.
Not for those with fear of heights😂
@@EverydayReviews2022 acrophobia
@@EverydayReviews2022 really? Not for those?
I'm sure the guy commenting/narrating this. Is a good competition eater? I've seen him on RUclips?...
A good eater maybe. Definitely not competition level 😂
The view from above is scary as fuck
Taipei 101 Elevator vs Shanghai Tower Elevator
I need a heart :(
Oof, never got that heart :/
Wow how it feels? Is it feel like you are flying to heaven 😂.
That tower is awesome 😎
So it climbs as fast as a BF-109G6?
Thanks bro😊
imagine all the lifts there went out of use or broke down.
that would be a nightmare
Why does it go slower on the way down?
They probably don’t want people to get weightless on the way down.
it will be fine if you accelerate slower
It has to do with how the inner ear adjusts to change of pressure during decent. Too fast will cause discomfort. Just like with an airplane. It hurts when going down, but not so much going up.
It’s actu due to the counter weights in the elevator. It has to pick them up and it is harder to pick them up than drop them since they move the opposite way the elevator does.
@@EmilBariaas Planes do go faster when they go up and do descent slowly. Even though on one approach I've suffered lots of pain on a descent.
Dont ever use Elevator in China!
Who makes the elevators?
Imagine taking a crap in the elevator
Ever went to shanghai tower i miss that moment.
Cool
that elevator goes to floor 70 faster than mine goes to 10
1:32
The engineering is amazing
Designed in the USA.
1:29 - 1:38 why is the autogenerated subtitle saying funny things?
Just imagine if..........
A claustrophobic person gets into this elevator and it ends up failing........
Damn, that's actually not a bad deal, only about $32
But thats not the 2nd higest building anymore
I should have bring my tripod when i went there
Mitsubishi Have The Fastest Efficient Lift In The World
Imagine this in Made in Abyss
Jesus Christ, Mitty would have it lucky!
That speed on accelerating phase must add som Gs to peoples body.
can u see coronavirus too???
How does it feel when you're descending in such a fast elevator?
At my university they have pretty fast elevators and I always feel like I'm freefalling when I use them, so I can't imagine this
You can only feel the acceleration by descending, and it is just like 10 m/s when going down, which I am a little free falling, and it is smooth by the way, but you can only feel like the speed is accelerating when going down, and then the speed will feel constant when it reaches at 10 m/s.
@@markli4618 Sounds logical, because my university's elevators only travel for 50 meters at most before stopping whereas in a skyscraper its much longer
@@thepoweroftheweed2215 So your university with 50 meters which was more like 12 through 15 stories high by the way, but in a skyscraper its better if the elevators are fast.
That’s a big fat NOPE for me.
I would like to know if you can see people at that hight!? Please answer i really would like to know!
Sure but they would be really really small.
How small???? When I was on an high of 200 m people where like ants.
@@DragonsFan. like ants, but smaller ants
so if correct, if the elevator is moving at a rate of 18 meters a second, that means that the elevator is moving at a speed of about 40 Miles per hour, is that correct, is so no wonder your ears would POP....lol Dont know if this is actually correct, but found out that the World's Fastest elevator is the one at the CTF Finance Center in Guangzhou China, which if correct, 72 KPH equals to about 44 miles per hour, which is even a bit faster than this one in the video, this one azt the Financial center, they say, is 32 times faster than a conventional elevator,
One World Trade Center on steroids
It would be a lot funnier if it accelerated much faster.
Dont think that 40 miles per hour is fast enough????? LOL
@@pizzasubs he said acceleration u dumbass
Taipei 101's elevator accelerates faster.
well.... one might say that it escalated pretty quickly.
Lol
I'm going to heaven
noice
this scares me
If a space elevator went at that speed, it would take 80 minutes to get from the ground to outer space.
Imagine your pets leash getting caught in the door...
If menara 118 is Malaysia down it would be the 3rd!
1:31 Chupapi muñeño?
correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Taipe 101 hold the guinness world of records for the world's fastest passenger elevator which have a maximum speed of 1010m/min🤔
this one goes around 18m/s, taipei 101 is around 16m/s i think
The park.inn hotel in Berlin (Germany) is 13m per second.
LIFTTTTT
Let's just build a huge elevator to space so we don't have to use hella fuel
Shanghai tower must have a full time service mechanic
Astonishing!
Imagine that being a kind Polaris
Why does it do faster up than down?
IKK][]]P
B2,2-3,94-95
How much floor are there
Actually 126 floors I think.
But sadly, car is faster.
Ha you think that elavator fast u gotta see the shard
Imagine the elevator breaking and plummeting all the way down
Why would you think that would happen? Do you know how lifts work? Or am I missing a joke here?
@@elevator_satellite that has happened before
666 like
Its not the fastest lift the indicator was going slow its about 10m/s its a lie
You clearly didn't watch the whole video
Can you do a review on what it's like to jump off the building with no parachute?
+Jon Singleton After you sir.
Everyday Reviews lmao fucking savage
very cool
the fastest elevator now is in dubai burj khalifa, burj khalifa is also the tallest building in the whole world, and inside burj khalifa there is the fastest elevator in the world
No, Shanghai Tower is twice the speed of Burj Khalifa. Get your facts straight.
i beg you, put on the english automatic subtitles
leila he speaks fine?
@@subliminal128 I'm thinking she found funny misunderstandings in the automatic English subtitles.
