    Thank you for an excellent video. I owned a real 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 XL GT hardtop that was black with Gold stripes and a black/white interior, all finished off with the 429 engine. I'm glad that they included the GT stripes as I had to order my gold stripes from Kieth Marks. I don't know how flimsy these are, but I would suggest cutting them at the front of the doors to make the easier to handle. Also the flat style mags from the 66 Fairlane are a good representation for the 69 For GT mag hubcaps. I really do enjoy your videos and the information that you include. Keep them coming.

      Thank you!! I like building mostly from the box using regularly accessible materials. I don’t build for model contests. Just to make a really nice piece you could be proud of. I appreciate your kind words. Thank you for watching. Happy Modeling.

    Very nice 😎 awesome build.
    I always paint my body last only because I'm testing it everything and making sure that everything fits after the interiors all done the chassis and the engines all done wheels and tires are mounted on the chassis then paint your body and put the decals on now that you know that everything fits properly that's what I always do. But I would do I would get out the interior tub eliminate the passenger seat and the backseat if you're making a drag I would get another kit to put more bumble bee stripes on all-in-all I really love your build you did an awesome job

    I just ordered this kit yesterday and suppose to get it by tomorrow night. You have some cool stuff to help you paint your kits with, like that spinner thing that holds the body, when you spray it. I won't do the drag version. I'd go stock or somewhere in between. Excellent job!

    Nice job on your Galaxie Louie. I built the original issue of that kit back in 1969. it was not a promo style kit back then. I don't know why Round2 put the interior & chassis pan back to a promo style. This is why the extra parts are in the kit.

    I bet that Bumbles really rumbles...
    Great build video again, like that you showed wheel fix and always dig when you make it the box art. Hope someone can make original chassis and interior available someday...
    Small video tip at the start when you do show the box art, the shiny boxes give heavy reflection - so wonder is there a way to relocate the halo light during that? Take care Louie.

      Thank you for watching!! I have been struggling with that lighting problem. I’m thinking about trying a different round back light. It’s tough on a shoestring budget though. I have my producer (my wife 😆) looking at some other options. I do appreciate the feedback always. Thanks again. Happy modeling!!

    Another great build Louie! Those extra parts from the interior and chassis date from when this was the 1967 Galaxie. I have the last boxing of the '69 Galaxie from almost 20 years ago, and it has the molded in seats and one piece chassis. I don't have the 68 or the original 69 issue to know if they were separate parts or molded in.

    • @TheAutisticModeler
      @TheAutisticModeler  Год назад

      I compared it with my 2004 issue(blue car on the box lid) I have and it doesn’t have any of the extra seats and stuff.

    As a drag crazed 8 year -old I built my '68 as a ludicrous drag car.
    Too heavy to be competitive! Surely !

    Another thing that I would do also that I forgot to mention to you if you use the 65 and 66 Ford Galaxie chassis if you look at the 69 chassis and the 65 and 66 chassis they are the same but you would have to lengthen the 65 and 66 chassis to fit the 69 body I've done it and it's real simple maybe you can try that on your next build if you build another 69 Galaxy

    • @TheAutisticModeler
      @TheAutisticModeler  Год назад +1

      Good tip, if I was building this for myself I would of upgraded the chassis. But one of the stipulations from Round 2 is to use only what the kit comes with.
