The 59s have always been my favorites. I had no idea that they made an El Camino back then, until I saw one at a car show back in the nineties. I gotta build one of those!
You've got some good steady hands with that 'brush work' Louie. Great color choice, it turned out a really nice 'ride'. I've built the '59 convertible a while back. I'm thinking of giving it an 'overhaul'. Seeing yours really put me in the mood. Thanks buddy. 👍 🦘
Thank you!! I’m glad you noticed the three speed on the column. I drove a 58 Ford sedan for many years with a 292 and three on the tree. Loved that old car. Happy Modeling!!
I do enjoy the video content you provide. I'm going to look for the '59 El Camino kit, but I was just at my favorite local hobby shop a couple of days ago, and I don't think he has any. Back in the day, I had a regular 1:1 4-door '59 Chevy, in 2-tone red/white. One thing though, I believe all the '59's had white turn signal lenses up front. They might have had amber bulbs inside, but that I don't remember.
Good point about the amber lenses. They were not being offered back in the day but can be replaced now as replacement lenses. It all depends on how original you may want to make it.
@@johnmeyer8098 It's your build, you can do as you like. I just added the comment so people looking would know amber isn't original. Just to be sure of my recollection from years ago, I looked online today before I posted, and didn't see anything with amber up front. Again, enjoy watch your videos. This doesn't change that.
I've had one of these in my stash for a couple of years now. I'm glad that I came across your video so now I know what to expect when I crack the seal on mine. I love the colors that you chose too! Thanks for sharing!
Hey-dar: yes, this is a cool kit. I have the older kit in my "work in progress" stash, you'd be surprised on how big that stash gets 😂 I really like the center-lines. I like the build tutorial, it reminds me of the hpiguys 😊 ugh, you didn't take advantage of the posable steering? Really like the color. Have you ever used BMF? No dash decals? This kit turned out very nice! (MODEL CAR)(MAN CAVE) 👊😎👍
Very nice build!...I have one that I did in burgandy, and it is one of my favorite builds!...When I was in the navy, my chief owned one!...Thanks for the share
Usually praises for the fine work you do, and true here again - but been meaning to say I find your videos most relaxing. And huge camera angle improvement! When it's time for me to do a '59, going to graft in my resin '60 wagon body to make it a '59 wagon.
Thank you very much. I’m glad you like the different camera angle. It’s really is nice people enjoy my videos. I do like to show my talent and hopefully teach others a new technique at the same time. Thank you for watching. Happy Modeling.
That’s awesome! I’m thinking of doing one slammed down like you did, with the white walls and bright red steelies (no hubcaps,) red windows, with either flat black or dark gunmetal paint.
Nice work. I love the color. From the instructions I see there is a choice of lowered, stock and raised for the front end. I see how you lower the front. How do you lower the rear? Thanks
Hi Louie that is a mighty nice looking El Camino. Nice color, that kind of colors are comming in my mind for a 50-60,s car. You got a steady hand when brushing. I wish my hands were that steady. Is there no deck-lid in that kit??
@@TheAutisticModeler Thanks Louie for responding that fast. And gonna look for that kit now. Loving that old fashion model more than the latest El Camino. Think i will make a resto mod with a nice candy color from it. Have a nice Sunday.
@@lancerevell5979 Found it and ordered 2 . 27 october it will be in Spain. Thanks a lot for wishing me on the right way. You make my weekend to a super weekend.
As I started building mine, I also noticed that even though it says it’s a V8 one of the motors only has six exhaust instead of eight exhaust. Three on each side.
Cool build! You are so creative and original.
I gotta thank you for getting me back into the hobby again thanks to your channel.
Oh I’m so glad!! It’s nice to hear that. Thank you for watching. Happy modeling

Looks great! One of my favorite kits and years of el caminos. Great color choice.
Another fine example from you! I did a similar color scheme on an el Camino and an Impala.
Vary nice Build there you do some outstanding builds and some and really nice paint jobs for no air brush thanks enjoyed👍

Boy, was I surprised that you didn’t choose a red color to match the box art. Your choice of colors was great though. ❤
Nice work. I love the color. From the instructions I see there is a choice of lowered, stock and raised for the front end. I see how you lower the front. How do you lower the rear? Thanks
It sits pretty low already. You could cut the springs pretty easily though.
Cool

Neither cool nor awesome. Sano!
I have one I’m about to start on. Can I ask how you lowered it?
There are three different holes in the knuckles to change ride height. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the information.

The 348 and 409 manifolds shared exhaust ports with each other on the manifold side
Yes I know you’re building a different model than Lindbergh
