- Here's another build I've been waiting quite a while to shoot. Our friend Kent Matranga owns a number of award winning custom builds and this is one of my favorites of his. This 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 XL is powered by a Gen 2 Coyote and shows some of the finest paint, body and interior work I've ever seen before so sit back and enjoy the ride...

The early to late 60's full size 2-door hardtops are simply beautiful. The long flowing roofline that "fastbacks" into the quarter panel is unmatched in anything more modern.
Nicest muscle car ever on this show 👌🏽. No comparison, the stance, colour, shape… everything.
It really is everything you want in a custom build

My Father gave me a 67 Galaxie (sorry, 4 door hardtop). I drove the hell out of it! Took it from Calif. to Florida, Drove it for years! Then put a "Grabber Blue" Laquer Paint Job!
I used to fly Control line stunt and that car could hold my plane (60" wingspan) in the trunk!
If there was anyone that may have dreamed up a 67 Galaxy.... this color is Outta Site.....once again.....this is a 1 of a kind.....what a gem!
Grandfather had a 65 Galaxie 500 XL cali car, 352 auto trans, AC, 2 door. A very solid nice quiet crusier. This is a great example, clean and smooth.

Well, I am looking at the finest example of a 1967 Galaxy I have ever seen.....is there anything out there like this one.?. hmmm..probably not.... mighty fine indeed!

I say first that am a chevy guy . But that Galaxie is over the top I love the fact that it's Settle changes and that it's a Reliable clean cruiser ❤❤❤🤓🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🇺🇸🇺🇸😍
While I love Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers and basically all the cars from the Muscle Car era, it is nice to see a non muscle car that is done to this high performance level. Well Done!
I can't imagine the original designers would have ever thought these vehicles would be so stunning later in its life, to be so much more than even when it was new. Just beautiful art, i can't see me ever having something like that Id be nervous to drive it around here in the hill country of West Virginia and definitely not in the cities lol.
Funny thing is it drives like a car. No weird tricks, rattles, etc. Such a beautiful well done build!

If I could quit driving truck and build cars like this without having to worry about finances, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Very good points about keeping the classics driven and well taken care of nobody mentions the amount of thought care and time it takes to properly own a heirloom. Seriously the older you get you appreciate the well thought out simplicity and class over show show boating.... occasionally;)
I like the older body galaxies but this car is pretty epic, this guy is so chill as well
I've never had such a great must have feeling ever as I have of this car here. This was America at its best, and that era is definitely over, for now.

This amazing build shows how beautiful the ‘67 Galaxy’s body lines really are. The stacked headlights look amazing (a nod to Pontiac’s of 60’s please). Gimme a ‘64 or ‘67 Galaxy 500 any time. Two of the best looking Fords from the 60’s.
I just subscribed because I have watch every episode and the amount of information you get is priceless. Besides, I can hand with the Host. My 66 Lemans is almost done. Not even close to what he shoots on videos, but it does the job for me.

Unlimited number of old cars in California there's lots of them in folks garages that are just sitting waiting to hit the road once again, I work in a restoration shop, taxes, Newsom, I don't really care
@@AutotopiaLA- Same here Sean. I’m 68 and live up in the Central Valley. Have lived and worked here my entire life plus all of my family is still here. I also despise the politics and high cost of living. Living here in the valley makes it palatable as the Central Valley is still conservative overall.

Very nicely done! Use to see lots of these cars up here in Canada in the '60's. That yellow early Vette on the upper right corner also looks very nice too.
Wow. When they opened that hood I was CRAZY impressed. What a fantastic and seamless theme transition for a seriously clean resto mod. Absolutely love the look of this car from essentially every possible angle. Excellent. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

I'm not really a Ford guy by nature but this Car is Awesome! I don't think you would expect this type of build from what was originally designed to be an Old Folk's Family Car.
And what's wrong with putting that '59 Impala Dash in it? It fits nicely and doesn't distract from Ford's original concept. It's just different. It's Instrumentation layout is easy to read and it's sort of elegantly simple. It's Clean and Classy. Bravo Armando....that upholstery is over the top!
Looks like it'd be comfortable to ride 2,500 miles in it anytime...

My Father had a Galaxie 500 when he was about 23 or so. The only custom deal on it was the 8 Track Player underneath the Driver's Seat. Things have come a long way since the early 70's.

I think, especially now, we are used to seeing this crazy over the top builds with so much horsepower. This was refreshing. Pure cruiser and it wasn’t a car you see very often done. Bravo man great car and great color!

I painted my 71 cutlass soul red 4 years ago and didn't see anyone with that color on an old school, but now I'm starting to see them out there. Really good color to go with on a classic. Nice ride!

I’ve long thought of what the theme of my car collection would be, IF I was Jay Leno ‘s son. Literally every make and model of a 1967 year car, and truck. The muscle cars were many things, exciting, competitive, innovative and the vibe was good! This an excellent example, although heavily modified, what a beauty!

I had either a 68 or 65, can't remember for sure, white, 6 cylinder two door that was an absolute joy to drive. Auto on the column.

Beautiful vehicle. Saw some photos and it was the dash that really caught my interest. Changing the layout in my 69 Ranger and a 60 Impala dash is one I have been looking at, before going completely in house.

It bothered me. But!!! I must say, It is a fascinating car. Back in 1976 while in high school our dad bought a blue one that my sister and I went to school in. He sold it to one of his employees in 1978 and the guy wrapped it on a telephone pole three days later...devastating to see it the way it ended up.

This episode here is a very mild, mellow one along with the Galaxy. I know Shawn and crew vet their next guests. However, I think Shawn and crew (won’t blame ONLY Shawn) but sometimes the captain goes down with the ship (LOL) the owner of the Galaxy had me sleeping and dreaming about another Galaxy far far far away with his extreme lack of interest, personality, social graces-LOL- enthusiasm, hype and the glaring lack of three dimensions! I mean no hate or disrespect to Shawn, but damn boys make sure the kats coming aboard with their whips… are ALIVE! That dude puts insomniacs to sleep! Anyway, I LOVE this show and Shawn! Loyal subscriber and super fan!
Awesome. Always loved the galaxy’s but personally I can’t get past that dash, does fit the square lines of the car. But to each his own and they did an awesome job of making it kinda fit in.
