I don’t find sleep settings in my android head unit. It is running on 7.1.1. Any suggestions?

Check your current draw in sleep mode
I use the 3 days option without problem with my basic chinese Android head unit, but I would recommand you first check the current draw in sleep mode. Mine draws 0.4A which is acceptable for any small battery in good condition.
If you have a current clamp multimeter (or a friend who has one!) just put the clamp around the positive wire on the battery. It will report the global draw when the car is parked (but will include car alarm draw if you have one)

Is this original headunit or aftermarket? I have the exact looking headunit in my altima but aftermarket and the android launcher is different
Good evening! I needed to reset the navigation because it did not recognize my 4G sim card. I didn't know how long I had to press the reset button! I held the reset button for about 40 seconds (the 5 touch buttons flashed about 3 times) and now the navigation does not open at all. The 5 touch buttons light up, but I have no image. I don't know how to restart it, the reset button DOESN'T WORK. I look forward to a reply. Thanks a lot!
How do you set the android unit boot up and show the car logo and android starting when you turn on the car?
its a great feature, but only issue is whenever I turn on the car after couple of hours it takes me to recent apps window and I have to manually press home button to go ti home, because sleep switch kills the running apps it gets startup on recent app window. didn't found a fix yet. any suggestions?
The sleep state indicator turns off the screen and sound, so the power consumption will be relatively large, and the old battery will have problems starting the engine.

My Eonon Q50 Pro used to do that, but even with the sleep setting set, it is rebooting everytime.

Is there any eye protection app for car android head unit as it hurts to eyes at night time while driving.
My settings are set to no sleep to avoid any battery drainage. However, since I have installed android unit in Mercedes ML350 2010. My battery drains if I don’t drive the car for a day. Is it possible can bus connected acc wire in the factory harness is doing it? Or maybe I connected to incorrect wire because acc should only be live when the ignition is on. Does anyone know which wire is acc on factory harness?
What loader are you using?
That's not booting up fast. It's just not turning off the headunit. The screen might turn off but the unit itself is still on and pulling battery power.
and thats why my battery will go dead very quickly so that why i turn off fast boot up

sempre que ligo o carro, o boot é rápido, mas se demorar um pouco pra religar, os apps fecham e tenho que abrir do zero o player de música... aí demora pra voltar a ter música tocando... acabo ficando parado até conseguir entrar no app e dar play na lista
o app menos demorado é o Pulsar (MP3), aí o Spotify já demora bem mais, e o RUclips Music leva uma eternidade, até abrir, entrar na playlist de downloads e dar play... toda vez que paro pra comprar alguma coisa, é essa chatice
não tenho certeza, mas acho que meu HB20 corta a energia totalmente depois de uns 30 segundos... tô pensando em como poderia ter uma bateria recarregável como secundária, pra manter a central em stand by por uns 30 minutos, e acabar com essa encheção de saco

How did you add the settings icon? I see only "Car Settings" in apps and thats not the android settings.
Also when I get to android setting I dont have "Car settings" there :/ but I have everything else...

Key info here is: "I drive my car a lot". You need to keep having your car's battery charged up when the engine is on. I don't mind waiting for half a minute to boot the thing to have peace of mind that my car battery would not get drained by the head unit.
I dont think it's gonna drain the battery if the head unit is connect "post key", in other words, it (the head unit) only receives energy from the battery once the key is on
@@LBertao sorry but not true, when the option for sleep is turned off the head unit actually turns completely off and almost doesn't drain the battery at all where the option for sleep turned on doesn't turn off the unit but only the screen like when you lock your screen on the phone therefore it drains the battery way more, in some cases people can't start the car if they haven't drove the car for a couple of days.
@@LBertao I think you're right. I have it on my VW Jetta and sometimes it only driven after 3 or 4 days later and no issues with start up. I have heard that it drains the battery for other could it be down to the way the installation is done? Wiring harness?
it's not draining the battery. I used that feature for over 5 years on my car and somtimes did not drive for weeks without any problems.

Choose the correct canbus file in settings either factory set up or in car settings. It has a drop down menu specifically for each brand

I’m Running Android version 8.1.0 , MCU version T8.3.21-63-B35-C06101-180925, System version V9.3.1_20190107.115118_TW2-FD . I follow your steps on car setting, but i only manage to get shutdown delay for 10 min, 30 min and 1 hour only. Is there a different setting beside the car settings ?
Hi. Not sure about that but other head units/brands have different functions and have their own quick boot time. Some lasts upto 3 days, some just up to 2 hrs. depends how manufacturers have programmed their head units.

Hi. You can't change it. Time depends on how much RAM you have. Feature also set by manufacturer's standard.

What theme is that
I sincerely wanted to understand why a power management, along with fast shutdown and restart is not standard, all that is expected is that it will shut down quickly and that when restarting it will turn on quickly and on the same screen as it was previously, all the other media centers that comes from factories in cars do that. What I realize is that the software is not mature (Android HU), and it behaves more like a cell phone system than a system made for cars. I agree with everything they said, enable this sleep function in 3 days, if you use the car a little, your battery will suffer, depending on the situation or do not.

Thank You for the video, but to demonstrate that this really works You should've taken yhe key out open the door and wait at least 30 seconds before opening the door again and turning the key. One thing is cold booting the other is warm booting.

@@jansen_vlog thank you so much jansen , i am sure with android head unit there is so much to do with it, and they only give us 2 usb slot, you should have a DVR black box on your car, i guess you already have TPMS built in on Nissan correct? You should add an OBD scan on your head unit so it can scan and monitor your engine ECU and Torque and many device can add, but back again we only had 2 slots, thank you jansen i look forward for your other experiments

I don't have DVR but I do have rearview mirror camera same function as the DVR (records both front and back simultaneously). Also, for the scanner, yeah I do have OBDII but I seldom use it. :)

Assuming headunit drawn max of 50mA while sleeping. Normal smallest battery is 40 000 mAH or 40AH that means it will self discharge to around 10.5 in 1 hour if running current is 40A. For 50mA it will need 800hours to discharge. That mean you cannot start the car if you left it uncharged for 1 month which is unlikely.

The reason I don’t use all the car launcher it because none of them are automatically startup when car ignition is started.. and I don’t think there’s any car launcher able to do it or have this automatically system to startup the launcher when the ignition startup.. I was looking for a car launcher have a system like this for a long time now, but still none of them can do that!! until then, I’ll wait and see if there’s a car launcher have that system in the future, then I’ll start to download it and probably pay for the pro one. Meantime, no for me to buy anyone of them!!! Not worth a cent if there is no system like this….

Hi. Based on my experience, it’s not draining my car’s battery. Not sure if it depends on head unit. But so far, I didn’t encounter battery drain at all.
Just be careful with this setting, if you don't drive your car for a couple of days you could drain your battery. I played around with this setting before, and kept getting a flat battery. My Dasaita PX6 has an "auto" option, which is also the default setting (not shown in this video) and it seems to provide the best balance of boot time vs battery preservation.

Hi. Sorry but it’s a system feature. If your Android HU doesn’t have that option, most likely your HU does not support it.

The main thing that this option is doing is having your unit turned on in the background even if your engine is not on.
What does this mean?
The unit is consuming power. I had this turned on on e but I noticed quickly that my amplifier is also turned on even when the engine is off.
Do not use this feature, it would drain your battery and would only cause you trouble along the way.

Is not faster boot, what happens is it doesn't turn off and it could drain your battery...
This has nothing to do with boot time considering the unit stays booted up already when you select any sleep option. Another thing about this technique is that it causes a parasitic drain on your battery.

Hi. What's your Android version? Some of the head units have different settings / terms. Try looking for "Factory settings", and try looking for "Quick Boot", "Fast boot" or "Shutdown delay".

Mine is 30 seconds minimum
Note: sleep acts same as your PC. When you turn off your Car. your AVN is half on. That's why it boot so fast because it only turn off the screen.
Cons for this. Your AVN memory will be full and may give you Lag and delay responds.
Battery will drain to your Vehicle since this AVN doesn't have a built-in battery like tablets does.
And this is what happened to me it does drain ur battery i think it damaged till i rest the head unit and set it to off so it does not happen again 👍🏻
