The opening with her working at the hospital is always fascinating and eerie to me. The warning signs are all around her--the patient being in the ICU for a bite, the security alert on the PA, the people coming in with bites themselves---and she doesn't even know. She has no idea that her friend, the doctor, and just about everyone working in the background, are all going to die *horribly* in a matter of hours. It's very likely that the outbreak exploded at that hospital with the number of people showing up for bite wounds. She clocked out at just the right time.
I feel the same way. That’s what makes this movie very good. Like it adds intensity to the movie. The goal of this movie was to make the zombies look like real people. That’s why I think Dawn of the Dead is one of the most realistic looking zombie movies I’ve ever seen. No other zombie movie can beat these guys, or resident evil. I would say Dawn of the dead number 1, resident evil series number 2.
I feel like we are long overdue for a Zombie film or series based in a Hospital setting.
@@albertomacias7159 For real that would be insane. Just this slowly escalating thriller about hospital workers being at ground zero for the apocalypse. Starts with them showing up for work like any other day, ends with them hiding under the reception desk as all the turned patients, doctors and workers spill out onto the streets to infest the town.
@@albertomacias7159 Imagine Doctor House treating zombies. Or better be an attempt on resurrecting his friend goes awry-
I want to see a zombie movie from the respective of first responders and the military point of view.
what I love about this is that it dosent feed you with boring drama and back story for characters, it goes right into it and we get to know the characters along the way
And hints what’s going on too
The crazy part is that the nurses friend. Most likely didn't make out the hospital in that night. Since it seems the outbreak took full effect at night.
Sad 😢
Yeah, it’s safe to say that majority of those people in the hospital ending up dying then turning. Nothing good ever happens in a hospital during a zombie apocalypse.
The security guard said it best later in the movie.
“Everyone’s dead, your mom, your dad, that fat chick from the food court. They’re all fucking dead”
“Yeah, that sucks”
Ve and his cousins ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ to they european w girlfriends cousins sisters ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This town is cool IT is a good place for a honey moon for mi Youngest nephew ve and his w we know who from lc
There's an announcement over the PA for security at 1:25. The infection was already breaking out in the hospital rooms.
I noticed that too.
Damnn
While she was driving home they’re were talking about it on the radio when she was flipping through the channels
That pompous doctor who cares more about golf than his patients. Literally every doctor I've met captured in one scene.
Sad part is that this isn't exclusive to just the doctors of today; doctors have been like that since at least the '80s. They actually touched on that subject on The Golden Girls.
Oldest cliche in the world and completely invalid now. Private practice, maybe, but not hospital drs - they are overloaded, understaffed, and pressured by ins companies to dx/treat/release in fast forward. Most are probably too exhausted to think about anything after work but a long, hot shower.
@@barbaram8619 Unless they still drive a Mercedes-Benz to and from work as a daily driver.
I love this movie. Never actually seen the hospital part before; the TV edits always just started with them in bed. For years I thought that Vivian was their daughter lol
If you thought the ER scene was good, wait until you watch the unrated directors cut- it's worth every penny.
Am I the only one who always enjoys the prelude to a zombie outbreak more than the apocalypse itself? This scene makes me wish FTWD stuck to its guns and stayed a full prequel.
Every zombie movie reminds me that if I were in a zombie apocalypse, the person to take me out would be me.
I love this screenwriting for the beginning of the movie. Everyone's talking about what they're going to do in the future, little do they know the future's already gone
Little did she know at the end of the month shed be trapped inna mall with strangers from dead crazy people
I work as hospital security and sometimes it really be like this in the Emergency Department (ED).
A company I worked for was contracted out by all NYC hospitals for NYE I spent 5 years doing that… you would have thought there was a war breaking out on the streets
"Dawn of the Dead"(2004) is a Zombie horror movie masterpiece! This is one of the best movies of all time for this Kind and the most scariest of them for sure!
A great remake. The hills have eyes also a good remake. Evil dead also
2:04 you can see that person got attacked on the neck
0:47. I think this shot here was meant to be an homage to the 1978 dawn of the dead movie poster before it turned into a regular x-ray photo
Bruh, imagine not knowing how to drive and you finish your shift at work where you witnessed people coming in with bite marks, then having to walk home late afternoon (even though Ana drove home) seeing ambulances rush pass as the sun sets more and more..
That scenario would be terrifying if it were a vampire takeover. But, since it was zombies, and they are functional 24/7, the scenario is scary in broad daylight already.
@ Yeah the outbreak spiraled out of control overnight andy the gunshop owner even said in his tape that his car was attacked by a group of undead while driving back to the shop from mustang Sally's that night and he ran them over and they kept up with the car until he went faster so yeah you can imagine there were few zombies out there looking for people to eat but most of everyone was already safely in their homes asleep not knowing what awaits them outside that's just terrifying to think about honestly imagine walking home at night from work or a dinner restaurant with friends or loved ones and all of a sudden you come across mutilated dead body's and crazy people trying to eat you
@@Carn_arZ53 that would be crazy.
@@Carn_arZ53 Worst part is that the infection spreads really fast. It only takes like 10 seconds after dying to turn. With these zeds being the running type, it makes sense why there a ton of them only a couple hours after this opening sequence.
@@Carn_arZ53Dude, exactly. It’s terrifying. Especially at Dusk and early morning dawn

The most horrifying part of this is that she'd get in the bed with her dirty hospital scrubs on, wtf

"The Day After Tomorrow", ironic considering that movie was also released in 2004. I like that year because so many interesting movies were released and it felt like the last year when everything felt old school before we geeked up on computers and the internet.
Agreed

Nah to me old school is 90s n before, computers n technology took over by like 2003
She's the smartest person in a zombie movie. No time for sadness if you want to survive in a zombie movie. Sees her child biting her husband, throws her daughter like a ball and locks the door. Husband turned and attacked, fuck this shit I'm out of here. Maybe I'll check for the last time"louis..oh hhh shit yep fuck damn shit fuck I'm gone now, probably take his car. Help!! Can you help, nope not a chance. Surviving of me is my own.
That’s not their child 😂 apparently you didn’t pay attention to the part when she was talking to lil girl & she told her to tell her mom that she said hi
@@sameshayclaiborn7336 I watched this movie many many years ago, so story is unknown to me.
The child is her neighbor, is not her daughter.
When the main character was pulling into her house she met the little girl and greeted her with "Hey Vivian". Vivian was the girl that attacked the husband. The husband said "Vivians here"
That shot of the flag is a homage to Night of..... cemetery scene.
Putting the zombie stuff aside, I’m more concerned with the fact that she left her front door unlocked for the little girl to come walking into the house. Zombies are bad, especially the ones in this movie, but armed intruders are even worse……..
The fact that Ana got over her husband and fell for Michael within what? A month tells how much she actually cared about that guy 😂
I do get why she would though. She didn't want to be sad anymore and had spent a good amount of time with Michael to get attached and fall for him. In a zombie apocalypse you kinda have to move on after you lose someone to infection and death.
As for me personally though I wouldn't be able to move on so fast. I'm in love with my boyfriend and vice versa.

4:28 Big Moment.
How the zombie get inside? Do they not lock the doors?
I thought the opening scene was Micheal not Ana. He was escaping from his house. Do they have two openings? Or it was original one’s opening?

There can be no more better movie than train to busan and this

Woody woodpecker made this movie???🐦🌌🎥🌎
I disliked most of the characters in this movie but the worst was the cop.
The nurse left the hospital a few minutes after 6pm. Then she fled the house maybe 12 hours later (tops). Then minutes later (hour or so at most) she meets the cop.
The cop has already abandoned his unit, his duties and the department in general.
(He was heading to Fort Pastor to meet his brother instead of re-joint the nearest police unit).
Coward and deserter.

Can couples have sex in the shower in real life? Just curious.

is no one talking about the girl with the zombie and sex in showerws
I like the little hints.
- EMTs wheeling in a blood covered body as Sarah Polley is leaving.
- hospital intercom announcing “security to admitting”….
- EMT saying to his friend “Let’s go. It’s starting early tonight”
Sarah Polley left the hospital probably just a few minutes before the chaos started.
Yep, this is what gave me a phobia of zombies for a *lonnnng* time after seeing this as a kid. Fucked me up mentally real bad lol. Hell i still think part of that phobia exists deep in my subconscious 😂 thats probably why i collect large knifes, swords and other objects like such, a subconscious fear of not having a defense against zombies 😂
Question 🙋🏻♀️ how did the little girl even get in? 😅
My guess, the victim still obtains some intelligence early in the infection, notice how she didn't immediately attack them, only until the guy was close to her. Or she probably got attacked on her way there and became a full zombie while in the house.
IKR don’t people lock there doors anymore? 😂
@@TheDarkarrow7 Yes!
Maybe this happened:
Kid sees daddy get attacked trying to chase away an intruder. Stranger kills daddy & mommy kid hides.
Later is attacked by reanimated mommy. Runs to neighbours house knowing neighbour is nurse maybe chased by mommy.
Knows where neighbours keep their hidden key. Let’s herself in to safety not knowing she was in the last few seconds before succumbing to the infection.
