That's correct. Zack Snyder directed the film "Army of the Dead" for Netflix, but he did not write the screenplay. The screenplay was penned by Shay Hatten and Joby Harold, while Snyder contributed to the story. Snyder's role was primarily in directing and shaping the overall vision of the film.

@Pedro van den Broek lmaoooo i forget to ask her when I see her because I can't remember EXACTLY which scene it was, but the baby scene had scared her the most I remember lol.
My mom use to drop me off at the dollar theater and a few movies I would get her to buy the tickets. Yah ROAD HOUSE was R rated cause of the fighting mom.....lol
@@likeorasgod lmaoooo crazy how our parents be cool with us watching r rated films and yet it's crazy how we understood alot of em at that young age lol, I mean, my dad took me to see Spawn when I was like 7 or 8 and same for the matrix (now THAT movie watching young in theaters made me want to act in films tbh bro)
Saw this with the folks Easter morning. Can’t beat that.
That baby zombie really freaked me out too
very polite of the zombie to hold the propane tank up for a clear shot lol
probably one of the best Zombie Movies. the last scene was chaos and the island part on the credits was a good add to the movie.

It’s crazy cause the elevator doors would of opened back up. 😭
@Tyreek Sanchez bro thank you !!! I’ve been saying that 🤣
😂
lmao right?!
as far as I know they don't have a continous laser sensor through the frame. in fact, if you stick one arm or your head, the doors will most likely try to close. they don't have strength to amputate you though. but you'd be stuck. I think they must have pushed out the zombie's head.
@@profecarrillo6479 I think you’d need to get something in between the two doors to stop them from closing. Even one arm or leg.
I felt so bad for the girl who died with the chainsaw, I know that is just a film, but I can't imagine someone died with this way. 😢
For me, it was the clear look of terror on the guys face and when he screamed as the zombies came around the corner. That right there hit me deep in my heart because, any one of us would have had the same gutteral reaction. Pure terror and quite rightfully so
6:47 that one zombie hanging on, his face 😂
“Growl I’m scary”
CJ aims it right between his eyes
“Oh shit”
5:42 some zombies just standing like they ain't give a sh*t 😂😂😂
this movie is a lot scarier than army of the dead more on action.
Army of the Dead has more creative horror - the "dried up" sleepers, the hibernating, the alpha's - but its more of an zombie adventure flick that a horror flick. Horror is the sub-genre, not the focus of the film.
I don't think army of the dead can be qualified as an horror movie
It felt more like an action movie
@@JcBravo8 except it didn’t go anywhere with that since it never came into play
@@Matheis-qx9dm it felt more like a action movie than dawn did
@@jakealter5504 oh yeah, that’s was a major dissapintmwnt. I’m not saying there weren’t missed opportunities but the world building is there. It’s an action horror. The horror comes second to to the action plot.
hands down best zombie movie ever made. act 1 was insanely gripping!
Not a bad adaptation from the original. I'm sure Romero's proud despite the changes of the remake to the original Dawn.
Wat bout resident evil
@@jamalwalker4939 RE 1 was okay. But the rest of its sequels are awfully terrible imo.
@@NurseAmamiya yea can’t argue with that
People who think original = better are TRIGGERED. Original was SO BAD.
Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead
This movie, still one of the best zombie apocalypse movies ever.
It sounds like you're referring to a classic or highly acclaimed zombie apocalypse film. Could you specify which movie you have in mind? Some popular choices often mentioned in this context include "28 Days Later," "Dawn of the Dead," "Night of the Living Dead," and "World War Z."
I like how this is everyones first zombie movie, i can't really remember which zombie movie i watched first, resident evil or this movie but deym, seeing this scene sure does put a smile on my face.
My favorite zombie movie! I can watch it all day!
Yes it a great remake
This movie never gets old for me 💯💯

@@sylocate. I watch Dawn Of The Dead, in DVD and I bought it a long time ago, 10 years I guess.
When I was in HS, I had an awesome study hall where the teacher couldn't care less what we did in the time there. So we would watch movies a lot. I brought Dawn of The Dead in (circa early 2005) and the reaction of the rest of the class was epic. Any brutal moments were met with a resounding "AWW!" 😂 good stuff
Say what you want but CJ was the star of the entire movie. One of the best characters of all time in zombies movies
At 5:50 it looks like the zombies are in a concert with that armor truck haha 😆
They should just have stayed in the mall and fortified it. I would have used a balloon of some sort or a remote control helicopter or ballista to give andy supplies.
yeah because every mall in the early 2000s had helicopters which could lift more than itself.
If only drones where around back then. :/
I was thinking that they should've fortified it and then expand their land, little by little.
I always tough that myself, sometimes you are happy in the place of your dreams but you dont know
It depends on how range of that helicopter can get, it will simply flew down once it out of range
I remember watching this in the cinemas when it first came out. I was 7 years old, it was pure terror and horror
3:29 I remembered how much Steve leaving them pissed me off
Like dude
You had ONE. FUCKING. JOB!!
Can I just say the stupidity of starting a chainsaw in a moving vehicle? Like, come on man.

This masterpiece is the work of Zack Snyder, James Gunn and the legendary George Romero i miss these type of zombie movies wish they can make this kind of quality...
The Trigger discipline on Ving Rhames character after he shoots his buddy he made friends with via the white board chess playing is outstanding. Shoots and ended the threat then placed his fingers up off the trigger.
5:49 Most Epic scene for me
This movie is still a masterpiece!💯
That last scene with the chainsaw, holy s$&t!! 😳
The moment after he cut through her chest, RUclips played an ad where they were pouring V8 tomato juice into a glass. XD

You're gonna revisit The Dawn Of The Dead before watching Army Of The Dead. We all are so let's not deny it
love the one moment at 6:49 how the zombie gives a OH SHIT kinda look before being shot in the face with the shotgun lmao🤣
Big smoke: YOU PICKED THE WRONG ZOMBIE, FOOOL?!
That's why I never give any chainsaw to Grandpa. 😂
I can feel Ash vs Evil slashing vibe after the old guy accidentally killed the chick inside the van lol
🤣🤣🤣same
6:56 most realistic shotgun scene in movies, why do people always think they don't shoot that far
I think it's because people see characters in zombie movies using shotguns at close range
That shotgun might be possibly using slug shells rather than a 12-gauge buckshot.
@@mikebaut27 12 gauge can go far just that it doesn't get to the exact target and it'll probably lose its momentum and fall downward to the hard ground
that propane tank is ridiculously powerful
Leaving the mall was a dumb idea
Loved that shot at 3:41 with the zombies looking at the top floor. It's so creepy.
The fact that they stopped as if they knew the guns were a threat
8:13
When I first saw this part on DVD (I was too young to see this at the theater at the time), I was like, “WHAT THE FUCK?!” Took me ten years - TEN FUCKING YEARS - to summon the courage to see this again.

The chainsaw was a good idea, except for the part of accidently sawing someone in half. It would have been a better idea to mount the chainsaws to the railings of the bus instead of having them loosley inside the bus, or instead they could have just used their guns to get the zombies off
TBH, even with all them zombies, that heaviness of those vehicles, it wouldn't stop the torque/horsepower from plowing through them.
I'm also always amazed by how zombies are able to bite and tare some flesh off a human easily. I know that there are different types of zombies in different movies but still some zombies who can barely walk are still able to do it. Does the infected gain more bite force or what....I still love zombie movies though
@@amos1482 Well a big part of that is no limits on the use of muscle. Most humans only use about 1/3 of their true strength at any given point. Keep in mind read this years ago also the undead don't tire meaning that they are always operating at max capacity.

Zach Snyder should have taken notes of this movie when he filmed Army of the dead.
Wait...
zack snyder didn't completely write the film he directed from Netflix btw..
3:36 it's like they knew they were trapped. Smart zombies man

That sounds intense! Which zombie movie was it? It’s always interesting to hear what elements in a film can create such a strong reaction.
This movie used to scared the hell out of me when I was 14 n still now
Thumbs up 👍 for the best zombie movie ever
The greatest zombie film ever made.
They don't make them like this anymore.
It sounds like you're referring to "Night of the Living Dead" (1968). Directed by George A. Romero, it's often hailed as the greatest zombie film ever made and is celebrated for its groundbreaking approach to the genre. Its impact on zombie fiction and horror cinema is still felt today, and it’s true that modern zombie films often don't capture the same raw and revolutionary spirit.
Much needed comic relief kicks in at 4:46 lol.
Even the zombie that picked up the bomb was like “Aw hell naw cuz!”

CJ is probably the best person in here
I can only imagine what would have happened if Steve didn’t trade places with tucker when it came to keeping the door open. I’m sure Steve would had compromised the group being in the battle to the gun store as well.

The extended version that explains how they got out of the gunstore is the best 👌 👍BBQ
This is Sarah Polley's greatest and most popular film. I'm glad Zack convinced her to play the main character since he was a fan of her acting skills.
Universal knows what's up

I like the character development of Cj in that movie
Zack Snyder is the Blueprint ❤️❤️
The Zombies actually stopping their advance momentarily towards the top of that flight of stairs and staring in what appears to be not just anticipation, but even hesitation shows that some are capable of learning and know what a gun does at close range:
It was like a split-second of Human clarity had returned to them…
