What fixed mine was doing a “window reset” look for videos to show you. Basically you hold down the window switch from the drivers side switch panel for about 5 seconds after it goes down fully. Then hold all the way up for 5 seconds after it’s fully up and that resets it. Hope that helps everyone. 😊

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm having the same issue on my passenger's side, and it seems to have something to do with water intrusion, only happens after I wash the car and will stop after a few days when it's dried out. I'm hearing there's a connector in the door that's getting water inside it and causing the problem.

I’m having the same issues with my 2021 GT which is still under warranty. So I brought it to the dealer, they changed the motor/regulator twice but the problem starts again after only 2 months. I’ve been doing some research and it seems moisture is getting into the connector for the motor/regulator. Someone suggested changing it again but to also put some dielectric grease in the plug to keep the moisture out. I’m going to suggest that to the dealer, hopefully it’ll work. Good luck

theirs a pin in harness plug. The window regulator the not quite making contact to. you can pull off the door panel and push the wire back into the plug. It will happen again from vibrations. To make it a permanent fix replace the harness plug or get creative with a way of tapping the wire in mine the wire is the bottom left wire and it's a white wire. hope it help's

Same thing happened recently to my 2019 mustang gt and I'm taking it back to the dealership until they fix the issue... it seems the sensor for the door is messed up for some reason

Check the white wire on the connector going to the window regulator. It may be loose.

Mine is doing the same. 2019 white GT. I took it in to get it fixed. They reset it by taking the cables off battery for 5 min. Holding the window up button when rehooking cables. Allowing the computer to reset and relearn its position. But that fix only lasted 2 weeks. Doing it again

That's because the window motor itself is bad!!

  • @Hot_Stank653

The problem is a lose wire on the harness that plugs into the window regulator. the white wire has a faulty metal pin connector and through vibration comes lose and loses connection causing it to move erratically or not at all. a quick fix will be to wiggle the white wire back in place and permanent fix would be to remove all wires from the switch and replace the switch with a new connector.

Where would I find the connector? Is it directly in the door?

    • @Hot_Stank653

@@wilpowell2796 yes it’s the connector that the window motor plugs into

Did anybody manage to get theres fixed. I have a 2018 mustang and its started to do the same thing. Is it a program fault or the regulator?

It's the window motor failing, it also has electrical components to it.

Any solution found? I have the impression that it has to do with humidity/corrosion. My 2015 convertible is usually stored in our garage. Now I left the mustang outside for a week last year, during pretty heavy rain. After that, the problem started (the passenger window sometimes "flipping" during the ride). Now I stored the car back in the garage and pretty soon the issue was gone. Now, maybe there was some water leakage that caused the issue? The issue stayed away for about half a year. And now it started again. Regardless of rain/humidity. My assumption is that in the meantime corrosion might have taken place and is now the bad guy. Now the approach that I might choose, is to remove the door panel and start the investigation. And apply contact spray on any suspicious connector I can find. However, removing the door panel with my limited experience is a bit scarry.... Before going this way: Is there anybody that supports my hypothesis? Or maybe convinced this will not help?

Yes, I just fixed this over the weekend on my 2015, it's the window motor failing, just replace it.
