Lmao imagine you’re super power is to literally be the best fighter in the world and then you lose a fist fight to a blind man.
xD
3w1
@@EverythingSuper who said he is the best fighter in the world? His super power isn't "being the best fighter in the world". His superpower is that he can control his chi like no one else. He can also manifest his chi into his fist which can strike with the power of superman. But he isn't even the best fighter in the marvel universe, let alone the whole world. The title of being the best fighter in the Marvel universe goes to Shang-Chi. And also, may I remind you that the so called "blind man" also has abilities. He has hightened senses and abilities. He can smell, taste and hear far better than anyone in the whole world. So before you assume things, look at the hard facts. Shang chi can defeat all 4 of them with his hand tied and that isn't even a joke. Even Captain America can defeat iron fist cause he's much more seasoned and he also has enhanced strength and agility. He also carries his iconic "unbreakable" shield which will block most of iron fist's attacks. And daredevil carries two batons with a variety of tech hidden inside them. Iron fist is probably the 4th best fighter in the marvel universe with captain america , Daredevil and Shang-Chi,all surpassing him.

Great acting.
His "blind" acting through all 3 seasons was amazing
Honestly he has the hardest acting job among the cast. He has to sell that he's blind during fight scenes when he's unmasked. @@blackbolt5839 The Iron Fist against the 10 rings?
To use a quote from another series. Danny was essentially the 'biggest fish in the pond'. He was trained for years to be this 'great warrior'. Meanwhile DD had to survive entire battles against stronger opponents. Danny is confident in his abilities to carry him through a fight because he was taught they would. DD was forced to push himself to win when the situation seemed impossible. Danny thinks he can win his fights all the time because he's the "Immortal Iron Fist" while DD knows he's just Matt Murdock
great way of putting it, danny has the chi as a back up, matt genuinely has to be at his peak at sense everything
Agreed, strange how most people in the comments seem to miss this fact
Imma disagree Danny starts out pretty bad but always wins no matter the opponent. Danny constantly grows and learns from his fights as well. He’s a slow starter his pride is what makes him win! Had the fight kept going this might have gone differently. Case in point he didn’t just fight Matt! He outmaneuvered Luke, and had the fight gone on Jessica would be dead. He’s confident because he has faith he’ll always win and so far he has.
Disagree. Danny’s whole path on the Netflix shows is that he’s a kid with issues that destroys his inner chi through emotional imbalance which works ironically because that’s his biggest weapon. His chi is what gives him his power. He gets better as fights progress once he focuses. Matt is the opposite. They call him the man without fear for a reason. He’s more emotionally stable and seasoned at this point. Matt’s a car going steady 60 passing a car going 10mph ( Danny) that will eventually continue accelerating to or passed 60.
@@johnlewis399 despite this he was still winning what does that take away from what I said the only time he’s lost is when he was flabbergasted about Typhoid Mary
what's frustrating is that they seem to had done a role reversal with Danny and Luke's personalities. In the comics, Luke Cage was always hot headed, easily angered and getting into fights, whilst Danny was the calm and collected one, looking out for him, and yet here it's a switch up. For Luke's backstory in the series, it worked. for Danny, it just made him look like a spoilt rich child acting like an asshole, not someone who had spent 15 years training with Monks.
I hope that if/when they do Danny Rand in the MCU, he's done properly. for starters, he's meant to be a Kung Fu master, and extremely powerful. also, nothing ever pisses him off, ever. he's always the epitome of calm. please show us that Danny Rand, and make him a good boi.

I’ve watched this scene 100 times and I never actually noticed how Danny got 2 hits in that whole fight and both were the first punch and when Jessica intervened
This scene sums up everything wrong with the Netflix version of Danny Rand. Dude's a zen master who's supposedly in touch with his chi... yet in a room with Matt Murdock, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones he's the most emotional & angry person there. The comics character is generally a calm, optimistic, happy-go-lucky guy... pretty much the opposite of what we saw in the Netflix shows.
What's good about the Defenders show though is that they do try and aknowledge and build on the character.
Yes, his character is comic inaccurate with him being wildly immature and takes the slight "fish out of water" characteristic of not understanding places outside of kun lun 1000% more - Defenders unlike Iron Fist season 1 understand the character they created is an emotional, irrational entitled kid and characterise him consistently with that to allow him to grow to a point of being slightly more comic accurate.
He shouldn't have been that way in the first place but I think Defenders did the best they could while using the version of the character from the first season of Iron Fist - the blame is really on the Iron Fist show.
I guess I don't really know the comic character that well. Finn Jones played a really petulant and childish Danny Rand. He was constantly going off. The actor also didn't put a lot of work into the choreography that first season. It was weird to watch.
@@paulanderson771 Finn (Danny) doesn’t know martial arts but you can’t only blame him for the fight scenes, that first season was rushed and the editor and choreographer are also to blame.
@@wearywanderer7018 Then Finn should have gone the extra step like Keanu and MANY others and signed up for some dojo classes at his local Karate Kid self-defense business instead of whatever the hell he did do. Ruined the character he was playing and the series he was starring in because of it.

You know if he DD just utterly beats him, pretty much the entire comment section has his back 😂

I hope so but lets be honest DD season 3 was really bad comparing to S1-S2 (that's not why they cancelled it but still).
Edit: I really enjoyed season 3 too, but I
was expecting a little bit different approach, gloomy-dark theme (like S2) more than classic netflix action show. Yes, it was entertaining to watch but after The Defenders, I think we needed more explanation on what happened to Elektra. But overall Kingpin-Matt dynamic was incredible. I would watch S3E4 over and over again just to see Matt's prison escape scene one more time. I hope we get to see Charlie Cox in MCU more.

Daredevil:spent half a year in training with stick

Wait when was it mentioned that DD trained with stick for half a year?
That's why stick rocks🤘🤘🔥
The fight was stopped daredevil didn't not win. Not saying I am on iron fist's side. I'm team daredevil here but he didn't win and probably wouldn't have if Danny lands that iron fist punch.
@@user-pq7by7tu8l you're right. But if it was a boxing/MMA match DD would have won through points.
We’ve all seen Matt punch he wasn’t even trying and still beat Danny
If he brought the same energy he had against Fisk but against Danny, Danny would probably have been hospitalized

@@blacky8987 Bruh then you don't even know what you are talking about. Danny has trained in martial arts his whole life, he must be like unstopable machine, instead of a crying ass snitch
in the series he probably would be if he let go of the anger
This is still his origin. I agree he should be better. But Daredevil has more on the field experience.
@@malfaroangel3896 danny fought a dragon to achieve that fist, how much more experience does he need. This danny is just pathetic really the anger issues i can get past, but he should really be op they daredevil, luke cage and jessica should have at least had a MAJOR problem holding him down then eventually he gets overpowered but this just looked like a 15 year old kid who just picked up karate trying to hang with the big boys, and girl
@@apext2238 fighting a dragon is not the same as fighting a fighter who adapts to your skills. This Danny is still learning, no way should be overtake any of the Defenders probably Jessica due to her lack of fighting that’s it
Miguel Angel dare devil doesn't adapt to people's skills he just has heighten senses but he uses them in clever ways if anyone can adapt it should be Danny cause my man trained in the most secretive mystical martial school ever. there shouldn't be growing for his character. Why Cause he already did grow in the temple like Danny should be the calm wise one here not daredevil if you know theses characters
Finn Jones as Danny is still such a good casting to me, the angst is perfect!! I really want him back
They really did him over by not giving Finn very long to train and get into the part.
Matt and Danny have the same goals in a way, but they are entirely different people in countless ways. At this point in time Danny has trained for 12 years with monks, but Matt has been training since he was also a kid, younger as well. Matt was taught to use his heightened senses, not only to be aware of his surroundings but to forsee dangers, attacks and certain actions. Matt also has been fighting for real, he's been experiencing battle for so long that his body and mind are tuned to combat. Danny, however, trained strictly with the monks, the monks never ganged up on him, let alone doing so with the full intent of hospitalizing, let alone killing. The only thing Danny has that's superior to Matt is: skill (fighting styles that is), agility (Matt is a perfect acrobat, but Danny's younger body has more POTENTIAL), and usually confidence or will (Matt is aware that despite his abilities, he's still a man, one far more superior to a normal human but still human. As for his vigilante name, it's not much pride he takes in it, yes when it comes to his ultimate goal and his results, but he doesn't really "wear" the title. Danny is the opposite, he is one with his mantle and title, the Ironfist. The "Immortal Ironfist"! That boosts confidence and thus somewhat willpower) and lastly simply youth (Danny hasn't been wrung out by the streets and criminal underworld as Matt has. And keep in mind that Matt's experience being a vigilante has changed, altered and even a little twisted his fighting and prowess. Matt has grown tired midfight more times than he can count, meaning sometimes its best to take a hit to continue fighting as dodging would take a greater physical toll. Matt has also learned and adapted to rolling with hits and injuries. Stabs, punches, kicks, blunt force, probably a gun shot or a few, Matt knows he can take a hit and is willing to do so if it has positive results such as exploiting someone's weakness or countering. But Danny, he can't recover from hits as fast as Matt can, thus when he is hit there's always that split second where he is basically incapacitated. To us, that time is insignificant, but for Matt, who is a fast, great, and experienced fighter it's an advantage in combat, he also uses that against criminals)
I really like how Luke Cage just walks around like he's a big boss that will be next to fight him.
To be 100% fair to Danny, his particular form of martial arts requires him to be calm to maximize its potential. He was anything but calm here.
And the best was when he was tied up 🤣 he was literally crying like a baby 😅😂😂😂
Fair point but these niggas won’t listen to reason my boy Danny ain’t weak
If calm at all, that's his flaw, check out all if not most of his serious fights from season 1 of iron fist to the defenders (I don't remember well how his fights went out in season 2, I just remember kun lun went against him) he's not cool headed, calm and collective, hell dare devil is better at Danny rand's martial arts than he is and that's not even his style.
@@hbgguled2495 he ain't *weak, but he's so immature and hot headed that he's never really used the full capabilities of the martial art he was taught, that's why daredevil is the better combatant in the MCU, in the comics there was hardly any delta between them if not at all, here in the MCU he is somewhat imprudent, Immature, hot headed, and noticeably flamboyant, non of which are the characteristics of what his martial arts are ment to revolve around
@@_MegaMind_ the real iron fist is one of my fav charecters but the Danny rand potrayed here is actually like an immature man that want his way done like a big baby
i love how when Matt pushed Danny, he just walks him down like “yeeaaah, roll bitch”
Imagine being the defender of kounloun and getting 1v1 by a blind man and a really good lawyer feelsbadman
If you are confused as to why Danny loses here’s why:
Danny trained for about 12 years
Matt has trained and actually fought people with murderous intent for about 20
Matt has sustained real injuries from battle giving him the advantage of having experience taking and recovering from hits. His body and senses fully understand what it is to battle someone who wants you dead.
Danny is also not calm so he is unable to access his full ability to fight with his actual style. But make no mistake, Matt would likely win even if he were calm. They were both trained for years to fight the same enemy, but again, Matt has already been fighting them for a bit of time and Danny is really just getting his feet wet here.
At this point in the series, the only thing Danny has over Matt is the iron fist and his youth and acrobatics but that’s not enough to beat Matt. Again, at THIS POINT in the series.
Edit: Before commenting please understand that this post is strictly about the series. Not the comic books, or any other source material outside of the MCU on Netflix. And also this is about THIS POINT in the series. Yes, Matt wins because he is more capable of dealing with Danny and Danny isn’t able to truly access the Iron Fist like he would LATER in the series. Most replies seem to understand that, but a few are misunderstanding what I’m saying. Simply put, Matt’s character is written to be more experienced, more prepared, and more in control than Danny is in this particular fight. All I did was break down what the writing has established THIS FAR in the series/netflix MCU. If you are upset that Danny lost, take it up with the writers.
That's a pretty sound analysis.
@PETER PAN that means nothing if he can’t avoid a hit from the iron fist or whatever. If a more experienced iron fist hit him, he would be done. I mean look at this scene, they both hit each other many times.
@PETER PAN Spidey Sense is along the line of precognition. Matt only senses when something IS happening.
Plus Matt's wearing his suit, which mitigates injury to a fair degree (though it wouldn't stop The Fist).
Cool, let’s hope they leave Danny out of the MCU.
Charlie Cox is Daredevil. Always will be. That dude nailed it in a way I didn't even think possible.
There's a great "what if..." story where matt becomes the iron fist instead of danny waiting to happen
Danny could defiantly one shot Matt. But Matt’s super human reflex’s, agility, Endurance and Radar Sense would only work as long as he doesn’t get hit with the iron fist.
danny would just have to clap has hands and he'd put daredevil down.
Daredevil: Don't try it Danny I have the high ground.
"You underestimate my power"
"Thats the problem Matt: I'm all out of calm."
Am I the only one who was reminded of the "I'm always angry" line in the Avengers? 😅
It's ultimately his downfall. Danny's martial arts are meant to be used with a calm state of mind, clarity and focus. He has none of those in this fight. Had he.....well he'd still have lost because Matt is a natural fighter who can adapt to his opponent's fighting style on the fly and with a few decades of fighting experience on top and a massive reserve of stamina, but it would have been a much closer fight.
no, you are not.
in the meantime, no wonder Defenders/Luke Cage/Jessica Jones/Iron Fist never made the impact Daredevil and Punisher made. WEAK.
Dialogues written by a 9 year old and VFX handled by someone's nephew.
@@3doubles I think Iron Fist season 1 was easily the weakest but all the series were great in their own way.
True, but Danny’s punch afterwards was way lamer
You know matt wasnt gonna look sorry in front of his former Master
Matt’s heightened senses always give him an advantage in a fight.
I love how they added the detail of daredevil covering his ears when the sound went off.
It’s just such a good little thing to add, since his hearing is basically a super sense.
Just love how Daredevil kicked Danny’s sorry ass though.
i still really love how his head pops back up, he takes a second to ponder, and then proceeds to beat the fear of god into danny
