Wolverine's character development is incredible. Charles helped him, and here he is returning the favor.
its a cool little piece of storytelling?
@@Ben-pd2bx Logan went from not giving a flying fukc to having a family to fight for, even to the death. NOW THATS INCREDIBLE.
@@indilandojones Logan did have a lot of family, just not blood.
He even shows that he appreciates Beast more than he did at the beginning.
This is a wiser, more well-rounded Logan, and I think everyone can get behind that.
That's what makes wolverine inspiring. He may be a loner but he's there when it matters
0:45 I just like the fact that Wolverine says that he's going to be good friends with Beast only to punch him after
That's just how guys are.
We watched the video too
I liked that fact too, it was in this clip also, such amaze
This part never gets old. Beast throwing Wolverine. Hilarious and awesome.
I love Logan’s reaction when Hank introduces himself.
Just remember it 😂
Wolverine was just getting ready to piece hank up.... lucky the professor walked in!

@@datt5698 Nah, Wolverine likes Beast too much to just slice him up, bruh.
You're making Logan sound more like Sabretooth. He's not heartless, and we've seen that he'd rather just take a beating than kill a true a friend.
That makes Logan more badass than just the murderhobo persona that Wolverine stans project onto him. He's not some edgelord rando who kills everyone, he doesn't WANT to kill people.
That's why he left to go live in the woods.
Watching these old X-Men clips, I can't help but think of how good the series could have been if they hadn't cast Jennifer Lawrence, and if they hadn't elevated Mystique to a major plotline.
Agree totally
And sophie turner sucked too

@@madisynissaquah243 What a strange comment.
Jennifer Lawrence hated the work required to created the character that Rebecca Romijn flawlessly and effortlessly portrayed. Hence her horrible, mail-in performance.
She (along with the producers who centered the storylines on her) ruined a franchise with unlimited potential and a fanbase that had been overwhelmingly excited to see their favorite property envisioned on the big screen.
So, no, I don't Jennifer Lawrence. I do hate what she did to the franchise.
It's sad, though not surprising, that the groupthink mentality would have you think that criticism of a casting choice and performance equates to political leanings.
@@madisynissaquah243 Jennifer Lawrence was no Mystique, mate. Pretty pathetic to try and smear someone as a Trump supporter over their opinion on a movie performance. If you've read the comics, Mystique's character is way different and is also inconsistent with how she is portrayed in the original movies.
God I love James McAvoy as Young Xavier, he's freakin perfect!
He is , quite
I don't even mind that his accent is different from Patrick Stewart's. James has a definite Scottish flare to his accent. Patrick Stewart's is definitely Yorkshire. Yet it's a perfect fit.
Let Deadpool decide
The writers screwed James McAvoy... This Charles Xavier was a drunk, over compensating, Good guy / asshole... He's the one always taking a bullet for the team ..
Literally
Now if only he’d be cast for young Picard
"Come on, Beastie." That cracked me up.
Classic 90s cartoon wolverine 😂
I’m going to have to ask… him to ask you to leave.
Such an underrated line.
Another moron misusing the world "underrated".
Through all the terrible movies that this franchise gave us, I'm still thankful for it because we still managed to get this beautiful piece of work. Just a very good movie all around. I need to revisit it again soon.
You're spot on. They REALLY fu##ed up the X-Men franchise after X-Men 2.
This movie and Magneto's origin (1st Class) were decent films amongst the horrible films that came after. Dark Phoenix was like a straight to dvd nightmare.
Cmon, Beast looks terrible in here... Like a wet cat.
True. Each movie does have some good scenes. It'd be great to see them all put together in a montage. Cut out any scene with Jennifer Lawrence for sure!
@@SquidzitAce I know that these are movies based on comics, but casting Jennifer Lawrence - an uneducated dropout that doesn't have even a GED - as Mystique was a horrible idea.
I believed Rebecca Romijn as Mystique. Whether it was a combination of the acting and directing, it was believable.
Jennifer Lawrence is not a good actress. Even film actors not trained in theater need a certain amount of wit to sell their characters. Jennifer's roles are unbelievable because it's her "pretending" to be a character. Perfect example is her line, "mutant and proud", which was delivered like some stoned telemarketer. 😂

Unwillingly with some Mexican lady. Plus maybe a parent with the Japanese lady Mariko from his second movie, plus he'd probably like to be one with Gene Grey. Bring just a LITTLE genetic diversity into his gene pool huh🎉😂
@vampirehunter533 Trust me, with the number of women he's got with in the comics, you'd be surprised he hasn't got more little bastards running around
Daken is psychotic and Laura grew on him.
Logan's been living for hundreds of years, pretty sure he has banged a lot of women 😏
Of all the young actor Xmen movies this one has the best Beast makeup. I thought he looked silly in First Class and Phoenix but he looks great in this one.

That face Logan makes right before Hank pounces on him on the stairs.😂 He was like: "Oh hell. It's goofy time."
Yep, great acting there. I noticed that too. Little things like these make acting great
My favorite is when Logan goes flying like a ragdoll 😂
One of the best Xmen films, and a great performance from Jackman. He truly knew Logan inside and out, and our favorite Canuck is a much more well-rounded man this time too. Kinder, wiser, better. Xavier trusted him with so much, even his own past- and Logan respects that. I wish we'd gotten another decade of this Wolverine.

Acting, anyway. The X-Men movies are the champions of continuity errors. Emma Frost is in her late twenties in the 1960s in one movie, then a teenager in the 1980s in another. Same with Jubilee and Havok (though not as bad).
It's my favorite X-Men movie other than Logan.
What happened to the Marvel movies of today? Watching this makes me so sad... The crap we are.fetting now 🤦

(struggling, pushing the door) Where's the professor?
Two things I liked most about this movie: 1. The ordinary humans finally had empathy for the mutants and tried to fight back against the Sentinels. 2. Charles read Wolverine's mind and he achieved empathy for all those peoples' suffering.
I just met James Macavoy yesterday at Comic-Con in Calgary. What a stunning actor. He’s such a genuine guy and re watching him in these movies is such a cool feeling now that I’ve had the chance to see him in person

James McAvoy has to be the best actor out there. Every time I see him in something he has the most brilliant acting and portrayal of emotions. I know a lot of people shit on Glass, but he's absolutely fantastic in it.
Love Hugh's acting chops more than the physical ones, he leads the role so assertively and good lines written for him not the easier fare other actors around get, seemingly always as if still rehearsing along on their lines

0:07 I love this exchange.
2:19 to 2:33 It’s a good thing Logan said that. Charles definitely started to believe him here. Logan’s character development was incredible throughout the films.
Charles: "I never told anyone that..."
Logan: "You will... & I also just told Hank..."
'Look kid, you and I are gonna be good friends. Punched* You just don't know it yet'. This part always gets me. Classic Wolverine. Lmao 🤣
My most rewatched X-men film. I mostly love how wolverine job to go back in time is the focus and we get both younger and older versions of characters
That moment when you realize that when Charles said "he look slightly familiar" he is making a reference to Xman First class when they are recruiting mutants, and they try to get Wolverine to join but he just says "fuck off" and they leave. The fact that he remembers that, let alone what Wolverine looked like after seeing him for only 5 seconds, was enough to even recognize the future version of him.
It was actually 'go fuck yourself' 😂 which makes it better lmao
No shite Sherlock..
They almost certainly had a dossier on Wolverine before they approached him, and already knew what he looked like.

That "AAaaaaaaaaa" scene. I cant 😂
Can we just appreciate the wire work done for this sequence? Be it for Beast or Wolverine. No CGI (apart from removing the wires), so their movements were believable and natural.
Always LOOOOOOOOVED this scene, ..is this the best X-Men movie ever..? Gotta be
Underrated movie for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a plot involving time travel where a wise old man needs to send a younger man he helped guide back in time to guide a younger him. It’s such a neat concept.
Edit: since people in comments keep bringing up movies with superficially similar plot points like Terminator and Back to the Future, while disregarding the nuances to what I said.
This move features a wise elder person who needs to send a younger person, who he once guided and nurtured, back in time so that they could in turn guide and nurture the younger version of the wise older person. That’s the unique nuance and character motivation/ interaction that makes this plot neat.
I’m not gonna argue further. It’s tiresome, and silly. I was commenting on an aspect of the movie I enjoyed. I don’t know why people feel the urge to waist time arguing about it.
If you can’t see the nuance of this plot line and character interaction then w/e.
It is the same plot as Back to the Future but with superheroes.
@@tyronebayliss If you want to be reductive and superficial, with no regard for character motivations or character driven narrative vs plot driven narrative, then I guess you can say every story involving time travel has the same plot. But that’s not really what plot means.
His older self was talking to his younger self through Logan whos future consciousness was controlling his own body in the past. Now that's mind blowing!!!
isn't logan way older than chuck
@@jasonclassmate2292 technically yes, but not in any mental recognizable sense. His mental maturity is far younger than Xavier. Logan is older only for convenience of his origin story.

When they cast Hugh, I really, really, really couldn't see it working. Too tall was just the start. But he carried well. VERY well. And it's one of the few times, the casting AND character in multiple movies worked.
I rewatch this all the time, it's just way too good.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love how with most time travel movies, the characters at least try to maintain some discretion with future knowledge, but Logan just full on does not give a shit. 🤣
I like how Charles Xavier in this movie is like Lieutenant Dan in reverse.

Never did I ever think I'd see Hugh Jackman's Wolverine get thrown like a ragdoll from one end of the room to the other.
This is the best x men movie to me.....
Wolverine was the reason for it all. I beginning to think Logan was the one who told him in the 1st place and when Professor met Logan for the 1st time in the future, he already knew who he was. He was playing along.
This was my favorite X-Men film
Professor is good example how stress make you go BALD.😅

*sigh* now I need to rewatch all the movies. X-Men 1 here I come.
Looks like a blue version of one of those 1930s "Wolfman" movie costumes.
I’m surprised that Hank didn’t recognise Wolverine!
Didn’t they try to recruit him for their team in ‘First Class’, which is set earlier in the timeline than this film?
Hank wasn’t there when magneto and Professor X tried to recruit him. And even if he had a picture or something he could have forgotten about it (especially since it’s been roughly 15 or so years)
Professor X actually mentions that in the scene after this one I think, he says something along the lines of "you know what you do look familiar, yeah we tried to recruit you a few years ago and you want to know what you said to me then? 'F*** off.'"
Hank wasn't there.
I've played a large number of gigs at that location, even on that stair landing!
Days of future past is the best X-men movie❤
After punching Hank, Logan says, "And that's for calling me boy"
watching this reminds me of why people liked crossovers in the first place - because they want to see their favourite characters interact and see what comes of it. Marvel's quick quip style dialogue now means that everyone kind of ends up being the same in personality, just some different circumstances. As a result, it leaves little excitement for any chemistry or clashes between characters, it all just becomes bland, inconsequential and not taken seriously enough. It's a shame because watching clips like this and Age of Ultron recently has reminded me of why the big team-up movies did so well in the first place.
@1:10 Wolverine came flying face forward but the next fraction of a second he landed backwards! 😂😂😂 #T1000!
Wolverine teasing him is hilarious lol
Logan learned the hard way not to mess with Hank McCoy.
The moment Wolverine Punched Hank; Hank was thinking “Okay; the gloves are coming off now.”
Easily the best X-Men movie . Can't change my mind
Man, this movie is sooo good, it definitely it’s not a 1 to 1 with the storyline in the comics, but the interactions, dialogue, it all just feels so dynamic
" Beastie " wolverine at his best speech 😁😄
1:02 to 1:13 Hank throwing Logan 😂😂
