I love the attention to detail in this scene. He says "wake up in the hospital" because he fully intended to leave them alive, until upon being shot, realizing his lack of adamantium skeleton meant those bullets hurt a lot more than he was expecting, sending him into a beserker rage.
But he forgot everything after the implantation of adamantium as stryker shot him... How did he remember everything since he forgot his memories..??

Getting shot by Stryker may be as far back as he can remember, but he's accumulated at least 50 yrs of memories since.

I like how Logan is shocked at seeing his old claws, surprised at him being less durable than he usually is only to then in a beat bounce back because even before being infused with Adamantium he was still OP as all hell. XD

@@35mm21 Based on the conversation between Logan and Xavier, and the fact that it's after The Wolverine, where he clearly remembers being in Japan before getting infused, I think he's recovered at least some of his memories pre-adamantium
hes actually stronger without his adamantium skeleton, as it weakens his healing factor due to it poisoning him at the same time. so without it he can focus his entire healing factor on healing wounds.
@@derpmanaveragegamer7791 false. The Adamantium didn’t weaken his healing factor. The only reason he was dying to adamantium poisoning in Logan was because the genetically modified food was suppressing his mutant genes and disabling his healing factor.
@@legendofthefall7082 no even in comics its been shown that when the adamantium was removed from his body, that his healing factor got even stronger as it no longer had to counteract the adamantium poisoning all the time.
I just realized the scene has a small hint to it being a time pre-adamantium before the claw reveal.
The girl calls Logan Jimmy (James), which was Wolverine's orignial name before the lost his memory.
That scene was set before he got enlisted on the Vietnam war with Victor, so yeah, it's pre-Logan
So how did he remember if he slept with her many times before if he’s from the future after the adamantium?… Chinese riddle for ya

@@TheFoshaMan I assumed this scene was AFTER he served in Vietnam and left Stryker and his brother. He seemed to never leave Victor’s side in the Origins montage, and DOFP is set the at very end of the Vietnam war, they catch up to Mystique during the Paris Peace Accords.

Completely understandable sentiment. But we said the same thing about Heath Ledger playing Joker and how he could never rival Jack Nicholson. Then he showed us how it was done. So while I'm skeptical of them finding the perfect actor to replace Hugh, I'm also eagerly optimistic. Assuming they don't completely pervert the franchise and turn Wolverine into some pink haired tranny with bitch tits.

Yup. They did this film so well. One of my favorite movies of all time. Unfortunate that Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix couldn't match the quality.

I feel like before the adamantium Wolverine was more himself, the visible rage induced by the gunshot wounds really made what he was come out in a lot of scenes.
I'm genuinely curious if we will ever see another actor play wolverine with the amount of intensity and commitment that Hugh Jackman has demonstrated over the years..

We will. The actor will be one who can make the role even better, but we could be looking at 10 years or more down the road unless there is an exceptional actor who can make the role even better.
The lack of adamantium in his body makes him more agile. But it also makes the claws less sharp. Although I feel he was still deadly af. Healing ability at its peak, wolvie in his prime. He could handle himself fine.
He was only 140 here
He's lighter but by nature of Wolverine's metabolism and biology he can become stronger to adapt to the extra weight almost immediately, he doesn't lose much agility.
Bullets hurt him more, fracture his bones and wound internal organs(even if they recover)instead of bouncing off his ribcage, and his punches(never mind the claws) lose weight with his natural bones.
Might have been more agile and healed faster. But he was definitely feeling much more pain.

Wolverine went from being unable to get any work done against Sabreschrieber to no-selling his shit with the addition of adamantium - even these thug's bullets hurt and stunned him a moment, whereas with adamantium he wouldn't really notice them. There's no doubt he's more imposing with the adamantium. How could he not be?

Hugh Jackman does not wake up in that shape, he definetely got a pump before shooting that scene. I truly believe in your potential in getting his shape bro, but you won't wake up like that naturally.

In order to help him look extra ripped, he also dehydrates the crap out of body just before being on camera. Don't do that unless you want to fuck up your body or can afford a team of medical experts to make sure you don't die while doing it.

They could actually realistically cut things like skin easily. As there is a frog typically called the "Wolverine Frog" that have a set of bone claws they push through the skin use to slash at threats, and Wolverine has that just sized up a lot.
@Archie His bone claws were durable enough to cut through most things, even stone & steel, according to his bio. Once coated with adamantium they were able to cut through pretty much anything.

Why wouldn't they cut? He had them for like a century and a half before he had the metal, and he made due with the bone claws. Like any animal with claws, his can cut better than we think. Just look at Sabretooth, sliced through steel like butter

Without the adamantium poison in his veins, he'll heal much more quickly as well. He's at 100% full healing capabilities here.

Just realized he wore his jean pants without any underwear.
He would have known that he didn't have an adamantium skeleton because the metal is supposed to add like an 150 to 200 lbs to his weight, he would have noticed as soon as he woke up how much lighter he felt. Also, because he is supposed to be back in a time period that he has at least some memory of he would know that he hadn't yet gone through the weapon X program, so again he would know that he didn't have his adamantium.
Who is perceptive enough to notice how heavy they feel to themselves when they have just woken up? Also, maybe he just wasnt used to seeing his old bone claws.

@@owenleal I didn't say he lost 5 or 10 lbs I said he lost 100 lbs, if you gained or lost 100 lbs over night it would be one of the first things that you noticed when you woke up. I don't care how groggy you were, if you were as drunk as you could possibly be without passing out and someone tied a 100 lb weight to you, you would be aware of the increase in weight almost immediately.

Supposedly the script originally called for Wolverine to wake up in boxer shorts. Hugh Jackman was insistent on being nude, saying, "if sleeping you're next to a really good-looking girl, you're not getting out with boxer shorts on, or briefs, or anything!" Which is interesting, because the good looking girl still has a bra on 🤔
Hugh Jackman has the best celebrity body, especially in this scene. Chris Hemsworth is close second, and they are both Australians

Oh wow, the generic bad guys immediately remember they have guns and how they work for once in these movies, that's quite unusual.
Because their opponent conveniently is immune to bullets. Wasn't it the case, they'd attack one at a time, and would shot few bullets, missing almost all of them, if not all.
He was juiced to the gills here. Sheesh!
Okay, let's be honest here. Before Logan got the keys to literally no pain at all, he was already adeptly aware of what it felt like to feel pain, however, that being said, nearly thirty years of holding adamantium in his bones meant he almost forgot what it felt like to get hurt. So a barrage of bullets hurling his way, despite being incredibly durable, still hurts like a sonofabitch. So, him going full berserk and leaving those goons a bloody mess was absolutely the perfect way to go for this scene. I'm actually glad Singer went this route, because it fits in perfectly with the timeline of the story. Logan didn't officially get the Adamantium until the 1980s, and he didn't officially join the Weapon X Program until the mid to late 1970s, so by this point, Logan has actually yet to get to Vietnam and be recruited by Stryker. And this makes me wonder one thing: Where's Victor in all of this?
My guess is logan probably go a side gig and victor found that (guarding a mobster's daughter) to be boring,
