    I'm totally not into that ML-shape but I absolutely love the different finishes Dime has had on his guitars. And after that video there's only one question left:
    When is the ML-shaped Solar Guitar coming out? ;-)

    • @Mobi666
      @Mobi666 5 лет назад +25

      Never. Dean guitars (Armadillo) owns the ML shape. And given the lawsuit of Gibson I doubt Dean would be allowing anyone else to use their ML shape. So the Solar ML would have to be different from the ML shape. Also Ola said in one of his videos he would not just make a ripoff guitar.

    • @DomicidalCovers
      @DomicidalCovers 5 лет назад +14

      Yeah there's also some irony in this because Dean apparently recently tried suing a guy on Instagram called cfhmachado who makes some seriously awesome Dime replica guitars, which are actually more like the Washburn stealth than a Dean ML anyway. Karma is indeed a bitch.

    This is crazy. I only started playing in Dec 2019, though I grew up listening to Dime & Vinnie Paul from like 1989 or 1990. I've been playing over 2 years now and I just came to the realization that Dime has a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE impact on me as a guitar player. He's one of the people who inspire me the most and I had no idea until I met my friend Mike a few weeks ago. He plays and his favorite player is Dime. So I started talking with him about Dime and that's when it hit me who Dime was.
    Until then, it never came together in my brain that Dime that was killed at his show was the Pantera dude and one of the guys I looked up to the most as a guiyar player. I was overcome with emotion, Ola. Just like what's happening now. 😢
    I know he's up there playing lullabies and squeals for my daughter, Kenzie. At least I can take comfort in that. 🤘❤️🙏🎸

Still, I got to witness the man in action in his prime around 1998 or 1999. What a show! Cool guitars Ola. Seriously you deserve these bad boys! You rock!

      @@henneburgers2194 Eh, I was being partly facetious. Racism is part of the DNA of the Confederacy, an intrinsic quality of its origins and character; in fact, the Confederate Constiution explicitly advocates racist ideology. This doesn't necessarily mean it can't be redefined or reinvented, however. Cultural symbolism rapidly evolves and develops. Now, it may be beneficial to disempower it's erstwhile racism and expropriate it's hereditary qualities. The only issues I see are: 1. If we use the Confederate Flag to symbolize the history and heritage of the South, are we not empowering hate since the Southern history and heritage it evokes are those of racism and hatred? Can we in good conscience separate these? I would argue that if we can't, the flag remains a symbol of either satire or hate since yo redefine it you would need a different majority public opinion 2. Given the first considerations, would there be better options to harken back to Southern heritage and culture? Is it ineffective and misplaced compared to other options? Lastly, I find it ironic that you accuse me of an educational deficiency while you commit an ad hominem fallacy.
      P.S. I am Southern.

    Growing up in the south and with pantera in the 2000s the rebel flag was just that "Cool flag on fimes guitar, the general lee charger, and the flag in from of the georgia capital building" It wasnt as BIG of a deal just ten years ago as it is now. And although even being a conservative, i can understand why some see it in a negative light, but its also the flag not only I, but many others grew up around seeing it as nothing more than a symbol and pop culture icon. I think everyone should try to look as what it means to some people. Unless its the Klan, fuck the Klan
