So earlier this year I bought a Dimebag tribute guitar from Gary Holt, built by Tom Smith. Had Kent over and he helped me put in some pickups in it.

Maybe there's something more to one of the most used legendary pickups than "it's just a pickup, it's as easy as 1-2-3, and that's that and there's nothing else to it". How much has it been modified from the beginning, when was it made, what speakers was it designed with, what modifications has it gone through, what has it morphed into (sure there are many pickups that have been based around it), etc.

Whoa looks wayyy cooler with the dime and 59. The red emgs just didn’t work with the guitar.

You should have put solar pickups in it ;) a dime guitar made to sound ola would be sick!

I already have like 9 guitars that I barely play, and now I want a Dimebag guitar. Thanks Ola.

Aren't the EMGs supposed to have special pots as well that don't fit the common passive pickups due to value?

For those emgs I would have used a push pull pot even if it means there won't be any middle tones

The fiddle looks fantastic. Dime would be proud! 🥲 Olga, thanks for sharing, my good man! Happy Holidays, brother!

EMG have a push/pull pot that would have made them work.

by the way after wanting an ml for 25 years ( i normally play vintage jaguars i got my two for dirt cheap back when nobody cared about jaguars, for instance i paid 185.00 for my 1964 fender jaguars) i play garage rock style music but also play guitar in a stoner rock metal band. i finally got my guilty pleasure guitar a dean ml. i bought a near mont chicago flame series ml and i love it. played it last night at practice and its freaking great. im probably the only 60's garage rock guy playing a dean ml and i love it growing up pantera was my favorite band

A black LP would fit with those red pickups. Just saying...

The first problem was the bogus shade of Ronald McDonald red that EMG never seemed to think twice about....and then to not have push/pull pot for the splittable pickup

I know the back part of the guitar is unfinished but the front part has me asking questions
