Ive watched anime and read the manga too. I quite enjoy that its not that poupular and its definitely in my top 10 animanga of all time. 10/10 (that hiatus breaks my balls)
I've said this before but the lesson I took away from the story was that In a world that demands you to be useful to its standards those who can't meet them will break themselves over and over again in order to useful to that society. Phos loses everything trying to make themselves into what they believe will be most useful to the people they love.
"Its Evangelion but with rocks!" lmao After watching so many anime not many tend to stick out. But this is an anime that I still remember even though its an anime that I only watched once over 4 years ago. It is definitely one that left an impact on me and its sad that we havent gotten a season 2 and probably never will.
Houseki no Kuni is my favourite manga. I love the manga's artstyle, it's simple but the way she potraits the scenes is very symbolic, like how symmetrical some scenes are, just like cristals are in real life. It gives so much more life and importance to certain scenes. And the fan arts are gorgeous!
It is an amazing adaptation and the manga is an absolute masterpiece. Btw the manga is the twelve best rated of all time currently so yeah pretty damn good. The only thing is the ending of the anime really leaves you wanting more and we still have no sign of a second season
Anyone who's seen this show is left with the overwhelming hunger for more seasons. And as a manga reader I can say it would be one of the most visually distinctive and stunning anime ever put to screen. Such a shame
the manga is so horrifyingly beautiful, i'm actually planning on getting a few panels from it tattooed on myself. i hope that someday in the future a season 2 is made, I would love to see it come to life

I already watched the anime and read the manga right after it bc of no 2. season being in existence qwq But I can only say that Phos really changes and It's sad but in the same time beautiful and relatable

And that's also how i try to convey the story to people when I present it to them lol anyways thanks for ur hard work!!
Honestly, season 2 would have to adapt all the way to the end because there's no real "rest" spots where you can end a season, other than "have a pleasant 10,000 years" which at that point you're basically at the end. Better to wait for the manga to finish before making a season 2
even if we did we did get a season 2 we would have to watch and witness a whole different story from the manga since if my mind doesnt fail didn't ghost quartz not appear in the last episode in a scene that was in the manga?, and meet GQ was a very important turning point for phos i believe... The studio could still try to retconn that and just find a way to fit GQ into the story again but i doubt they will?, i am still very excited to see where they could take the quality of the CGI with all of the improvement CGI has gotten over the years since hnk's first release... ahhh
Phos has been my why am i attracted to this demon when shes all melty waifu. We can have depression together and i can ask her about if organics can be incorporated like her metal.
HnK is amazing. One of my favourite anime and definitely one that’s been incredibly impactful in my life. The manga is amazing as well. I’m still on the season 2 copium, it’ll get announced soon right? Right?
This is the show that Orange studio need it to make a second season T.T as good Beastar was, to be, Land of the Lustrous was 100 times better. Also the manga is always BEAUTIFUL 100% disagree with you on how you very briefly touch on that, Haruko Ichikawa illustrations deserve praise and inspired this amazing anime so please show more respect.

something i feel people who are creating cgi shows dont understand is that they shouldnt be trying to make cgi 2d but rather embracing cgi for what it is
I believe Rutile said that the gems’ hair has no effect on their memories, so it can be cut. However, this also means that it can’t be used to replace lost fragments on any damaged gems.
