- This song was sung by my mother, Smt. N. Lalitha Bhanu, now 83 yrs., earlier known as Ganabhooshanam N.Lalitha, in malayalam film "Avakashi" (1954) along with other singer Purushothaman.
പഴയ കാല ദുരിതം ജീവിതങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകളുടെ ബാക്കിയാണ് നാമിന്നു ഓരോരുത്തരും അതോർക്കുക... ദാരിദ്ര്യമെങ്കിലും, ഈ വെച്ചുകെട്ടലുകൾ അല്പമെങ്കിലും എങ്കിലും ഒരു ആശ്വാസമായിരുന്നു പഴയ നമ്മുടെ പൂർവികർക്കു... വെറും തറയിലിരുന്നു ഇതൊക്കെ കാണുമ്പോൾ പാവങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ മനസ്സിന്റെ ആശ്വാസ നന്മയാണ് ഈ ഗാനങ്ങളും.... ഇന്ന് എല്ലാ സുഖലോലുപതകളും ഉള്ള നമ്മൾ അവരെ ഒരിക്കലും അവഹേളിക്കരുത്.... കാരണവന്മാർ.... അവർ ആണ് ഇന്ന് കാണുന്ന നമ്മൾ.... നാളെ നമ്മുടെ സന്താന പരമ്പരകളും... ബഹുമാനം ബഹുമാനം മാത്രം.....😢😢😢😢❤

You are correct ! In the late 50s and early 60s many Malayalam songs were composed with the tunes taken from Hindi songs ! Manasasarassa malar and Chinnum ventharathin etc are few of them !
