Agreed - it's a great scene among many in this movie. This film made me think of 'Used Cars' (Kurt Russell, 1980), a classic comedy with a bunch of similar characters, who are constantly getting into trouble.
I love Vinnie Jones in general, he plays those kind of roles a lot, and he's perfect in that. I can really recommend a pretty unknow early 2000s movie called "Survive Style 5+" with Vinnie Jones, he has some iconic lines in that one, and the movie is as wild as Snatch.
I appreciated that (at least in the past) Guy Ritchie did not make a spectacle of the gore, but left it to imagination. I hear that changed in the newer movies, which is unfortunate.
BrickTop is such a great villain. Ruthless and unintentionally funny at some moments. The comment about the sugar, the definition of nemesis, some of the singular lines. Excellent acting on his part.
The funny thing for me is that he's such a believable and threatening bad guy -- yet Alan Ford, the actor playing him, is mostly known for comedic roles.
I heard Alan Ford had done some "nefarious" things before becoming an actor. He has bit parts in "The Long Good Friday" (a favorite of Mr. Ritchie) with Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren and "An American Werewolf In London".
The super-thick glasses feel like they really add to the effect, makes it harder to tell exactly where he's looking while also making his gaze extra exaggerated
One of favorite Guy Ritchie movies ever made! These movies always involve a heist or a deal gone wrong. Love every minute of it, and you'll enjoy it as well. I guarantee you that.
Character actors are often excellent, some advantages to routinely playing similar roles I guess. Having said that, he did play other parts, eg: ruclips.net/video/uLNv4KXcWoM/видео.html
Guy Ritchie is a great director, love his style and he's done so many memorable movies and still ends up underrated in a way. Lock, Stock, The Gentlemen, The Man From UNCLE and the Sherlock movies are all excellent.
I can damn near quote this movie line for line because I've seen it so many times. It's just one of those movies you can watch countless times and never get tired of it.
Yeah, personal favourite of mine. It's used in a fair number of popular 80s & 90s films such as the lobby shootout from The Matrix, The Hitcher, The Wraith, Terminator 1 & 2, Raw Deal.
It's one of those films that is basically perfect. Every charaacter is great, the story is great, and there isn't a scene, joke, drama or action scene that doesn't land. Masterpiece.
My favorite Brat Pitt role, too, he's not 'Brad Pitt', he totally disappeared into the character. Shoulda got an Oscar nom but I guess this movie isn't a typical Oscar movie. Apparently he got the accent down really well, too. This is Jason Statham's first big movie, before he became the action movie guy in the Transporter. He does such a great job here. Stephen Graham (Tommy) has gone on to a really great career with tons of prestige tv show characters and movies along with some comedy.
@@patron40silverI always forget Floyd!!! Definitely another great one. Him asking the gangsters if they wanted to smoke with him always gets me. That and the fact that he smoked the toilet paper😂😂😂
Yep, Matthew Vaughn started off as Guy Ritchie's producer before he started directing himself. I'd highly recommend Vaughn's first film, Layer Cake, which is also a British gangster film and is brilliant, if you've not seen it.
Great choice! This is one of my favourite Guy Ritchie movies. It's right up there with his other film 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998)', which is equally good. The cast and the dialogue in particular are just amazing.
Im from this part of the world. I saw this in theatres . I understood every word . ( pikes) shes terribly partial to the perrywinkel blue . ( me ma ) Congratulations guys . On the baby. May god bless her all the day's of her life .. 3 years yes . Time flies
Congratulations on the baby! Another Guy Ritchie movie, aside from the ones already mentioned, is The Gentlemen which is underrated IMO. And you might want to check out Layer Cake as well; Matthew Vaughan was essentially Guy Ritchie's producing partner before becoming a director in his own right, and Layer Cake was his debut. It's also the film that got Daniel Craig auditioned for James Bond.
Snatch is a great film, glad you guys like it. Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels and Rock N Rolla are very similar. Some people prefer Lock Stock over Snatch, but me personally Snatch is my favorite. All 3 are definitely worth watching.
On the DVD version there is a setting for Pikey subtitles, which reads out Mickey's lines. Except for the scene in the field. Once he gets going it just shows: " ? " hilarious.
This one is quite the caper. Alan Ford as Brick Top really stole the show and is both darkly hilarious and terrifying. It's what happens when you cross a crime boss with a serial killer. A powerhouse of a film for sure.

Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you and your family with your new little one. The greyhound part. This is what greyhounds were actually bred for. To hunt hares. I did medieval recreation for 20 years and because "coursing" which is what it's name as a sport is went back to those times. We have a lot of folks that adopted greyhounds that had been abandoned by the race courses. They still course them, with these ways of running a cloth along to simulate the hare but they get to have good loving lives doing what they love and were born to do.
Finally a reaction video where people seem to enjoy this movie as much as I do! I love this movie, for all the same reasons you mentioned. It's hilariously edited, the story is great, the characters are VERY colourful, it's just a awesome time as a movie fan. Definitely check out Lock, Stock & Two Smocking Barrels, from this reaction I'm absolutely sure you will enjoy it a whole lot too. And congrats on the expanded family, nice to know everyone is doing well, if only a little sleep deprived. Thank you, see you again soon. :)
Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl. You guys are gonna be great parents. Snatch is Guy Richie best movie, Brad Pitt should have gotten an best supporting acting nomination
Guy Ritchie launched Jason Statham's career. Guy Ritchie fans had no idea that he could become an action star, until we saw him in The Transporter. Watching him do martial arts was a trip.
Congrats on your baby. Good times ahead. You guys should watch Lock, stock and two smoking barrels, RocknRolla, the two Sherlock Holmes movies, Wrath of Man, The Gentlemen and Covenant, all Guy Richie movies.
Fun fact Vinnie Jones was a pro soccer player before he got into acting , part of the famous Wimbledon crazy gang he was the hard man midfielder and so playing a hard man in this and lock stock is perfect for him 👌 blows my mind he and Brad Pitt are close friends. Definitely recommend both the Sherlock Holmes movies you will have a great time watching them , lock stock also 👌
So happy for you two! Congrats on the new baby! About the film...when I lived in Ireland, "Pikey" was considered a pejorative. They called them "travellers." From what I was told, there used to be a bare-knuckle boxing tournament known as "King of the Travellers."
I absolutely cannot believe this is POST-baby Isla!! Congratulations on your growing family and it's ok to take time with your baby and away from us - we'll be here happily waiting !!
Guy Ritch movies like this that are amazing are "Lock, stock and two smoking barrels" (the first movie he did), "Rock 'N' Rolla" (probably the weaker of the lot but still good) and "The Gentleman" (the newest and also very good featuring Matthew McConaughey).
Again, congratulations on your baby girl, the best surprise of 2023. I suffer from bipolar depression, and I get really down. I watch your channel everyday, and I really look forward to seeing you both. I love movies like you do. Thank you for keeping my spirits up. I love both. If you need a babysitter, I’m here 🎉❤😊
Hey man I hear you. The last few years I’ve had really bad depression and have basically isolated myself from everyone and just want to be left alone. Mostly due to my girlfriend passing away. So I started watching reactions to my favorite movies. Another great reactor is EOM reacts. He’s wicked funny and his reactions are great. Check him out. Peace and love from Boston.
Congratulations on your little one! This is my favorite Guy Ritchie film. It's his second, with the first being "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels". That's one you definitely need to check out!
The Movie Layer Cake is worth a watch for any Guy Ritchie fans, which he was supposed to direct. Instead, Matthew Vaughn ended up directing it who produced both Lock and Snatch.
Guy Ritchie films are generally pretty good. The other 3 movies that I really like are The Gentlemen, RocknRolla, and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The Sherlock Holmes films are good as well.
Guy Ritchie produced a soccer version of The Longest Yard called Mean Machine. Quite a few of the actors in Snatch are in it. It’s definitely worth the a watch.
First of all, Congratulations! Like many others have said, this is my favorite Guy Ritchie film, but when my wife and I recently watched "The Gentlemen" we both agreed it was a close second. Hopefully, you will watch that in the future. These characters are simply amazing. So many different accents.
He is amazing. From Taboo with Tom Hardy, Boardwalk Empire and The Irishman he steals every scene. Taboo is apparently going to have a second season and I hope he is in the Peaky Blinders film whenever that’s released. And the new Netflix series Bodies which looks interesting, I’m sure he will be outstanding.
There's a hilarious mash-up on YT of Star Wars scenes with the dialogue from Snatch; it's called Snatch Wars, you'll love it. As others have mentioned, you'd enjoy Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Guy Ritchie's earlier film.
Magnificent film, great reaction. Watching Samantha actually laugh while Boris is shot multiple times in frustration was the highlight. Still to this day use so many lines from this film. I'm a mechanic so my favourite has always been 'Whoops' in that condescending tone when someone screws up.

Guys now you have seen Snatch you gotta do Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels the preceding Guy Ritchie film to this. Very similar in tone but just as hilarious from a crazy plot you will love it.
Congratulations on the new addition to your family,.also glad you’re back. I just wanted to say that you are my favourite reactors. After a stressful day I come home and turn you on and I hear that opening sequence of every podcast, it instantly calms me. So thanks for that.
I watched brad pitt in bullet train the other day, best movie I've seen for the last couple of years... was not bored for a second... highly recommend it.
Congrats on the birth of your child. Boris the Russian is a tip of the hat to the Siberian Monk, Rasputin, the infamous lover of the Russian Queen who was tough to kill in real life. They finally suceeded after poisoning, stabbing, shooting and drowning him. Many of the actors in Snatch are part of of Ritchie's regulars, the same way Tarantino casts many actors in multiple movies. He uses Vinny Jones, the real life baddest man in Rugby, often as a heavy with a heart..What a fun movie.
Am I the only one who finds it hilarious that the first reaction you upload after the birth of your daughter is 'Snatch'? 😂 Congratulations by the way. 🤗
Congratulations on having your baby! I was just telling my wife I was wondering if it happened yet. It’s the hardest and best thing you’ll ever do. Happy for you guys.
Congrats on the baby! I have a real fondness for Guy Ritchie's crime comedies. Lock Stock (watch with subs), Snatch, The Gentlemen, both Sherlock Holmes, and RocknRolla are all very funny, with great soundtracks. The Man From UNCLE, with Henry Cavill, is a very funny spy thriller. Revolver, also with Statham, is very experimental, but very interesting. Wild performance from the late great Ray Liotta.
Love this reaction and congratulations on the baby!! I love Snatch, it was my first introduction to Guy Ritchie and it dawned me while watching this, that I love his movies and the style of his movies. I think what I enjoy most about Snatch, is the fast pace of the story and the transitions, it's so interesting how his mind works and comes up with these very complex moving parts. Every time I rewatch Snatch, I learn something I missed the first time around. I've seen a lot of people recommending The Gentlemen and yes that one is so good. I would also recommend Wrath of Man another story not told linear but so good with a big twist and Kind Arthur: Legend of the Sword, I know a lot of people didn't like it, but it has the same Guy Ritchie feel as the rest of his movies and the soundtrack is really good.
So glad you both enjoyed this film! Your reactions were great! You should also check out "The Gentlemen" when you have time. It's another Guy Ritchie film.
A lot of other comments have already mentioned Lock, Stock… as well as The Gentleman, but personally I would absolutely recommend RocknRolla. The Man from UNCLE is also a personal favourite with Henry Cavill and Alicia Vikander.
Congratulations! Just remember everything is a new stage…meaning you’ll go through it and then it’s over aka “this too shall pass”! A lot of stages you’ll look forward to those words, but it also goes for the sweet stages when you don’t want them to grow! So take it all in stride and know that yes, you are doing it right, it’s all fine, and this too shall pass way too soon! And get all the snuggles 🥰 in that you can! Blessings to you both and to your precious little angel 😇 🙏💕
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels came out right before this and is also worth watching.

I was surprised I had to scroll down to find Lock Stock mentioned
Absolutely.
Love Snatch but Lock Stock is better. Tighter script.
both are equally hilarious and unforgettable
“Do not close the door behind you”
It was never locked. They were pushing instead of pulling 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That such a great gag!!! I laughed till I cried when they do it in The Big Lebowski with the chair and the door! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Reminds me of Office Space :)
I never noticed that. Most of those security doors really are locked down so they can only be opened from the outside by the cops.
Those little gems are priceless

I watched brad pitt in bullet train the other day, best movie I've seen for the last couple of years... was not bored for a second... highly recommend it.
We haven’t seen that one yet! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@TBRSchmitt np congratulations !
@@TBRSchmittIt's very funny.
@@TBRSchmittWatch Revolver. It's another Guy Ritchie film with a HUGE cast.
Amazing film. Tony was a football player for years but became a great actor. You look great Samantha 🏴
The one we've all been waiting for...
This and Lock Stock, 2 of my favs. PS II video game, The Getaway, was based on these movies.
thank you subtitles!
Congratulations on having your baby! I was just telling my wife I was wondering if it happened yet. It’s the hardest and best thing you’ll ever do. Happy for you guys.
For another Guy Ritchie film I recommend "The Man From Uncle" starring Henry Cavill. It was not box office success, but it has a certain charm
The movie that made me want Henry to be Bond. He can pull the Roger Moore style that was for damn sure.
Stephen Graham who plays Tommy is now one of the UK’s coveted actors. A scorsese favorite in gangs of new york, boardwalk empire & the irishman
👍👍 I own this one, I really liked it.
Grats guys! That kids gonna have such a rich upbringing of film history and knowledge :D
So glad you both enjoyed this film! Your reactions were great! You should also check out "The Gentlemen" when you have time. It's another Guy Ritchie film.
Agreed
Again, congratulations for the baby!
Might be THE most quotable movie of all time.
One of my favorite movies.. I’m in….. Congratulations on the new baby
