It's hard to pick a favorite character, but if I had to, it would have to be Brick Top played brilliantly by Alan Ford. The presence he commands in every scene is just amazing, and his lines are simply iconic: Turkish: "You take sugar?" Brick Top: "No thank you, Turkish. I'm sweet enough." or "Do you know what 'nemesis' means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by a horrible cunt. Me." or "I don't care if he's Muhammad 'I'm hard' Bruce Lee, you can't change fighters." Just sublime!

Guy Ritchie being Guy Ritchie, which is fine. Really enjoyed Pitt in this one though. Super talented dude... Mrs.: Oh, hello... Us normal guys out here: ugh....
I've seen this many many times, and it's always enjoyable. Brad Pitt was still working on becoming a bigger actor, and Guy Ritchie was still fairly unknown to American audiences. So it's understandable to not have seen this film, I almost saw it in the theater back in 2000, but missed it and saw it later on DVD. Great reactions as usual, and it's great seeing both of you see something for the first time together.

You NEED to watch Lock, Stock and 2 smoking barrels and Rock ‘N’ Rolla. Both Guy Ritchie films and both up there with snatch. BTW the Mrs is adorable and very cute laugh.
Guy Ritchie is one of the best British gangster directors/guv'nors of all time, and "Snatch" is my favorite movie of his. The other movies that Guy Ritchie directed are amazingly badass such as "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", "Revolver", "Wrath of Man" and, more recently, "Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre".
You saw Fight Club, in Se7en he's a rookie from the start. This showed Brad's acting big and different, like in "12 Monkeys", did you see that one? He does great, short roles. "True Romance" is another one you might like. Your movie choices put you in the top 3 for me so far. I won't explain why haha.

This was absolutely my introduction to heist films, Jason Statham, and British films! (Although this is technically British-American.) I wasn't aware of Ocean's Eleven (1960 and 2001) until afterwards. They're very different, but I feel like this is the darker, grimier, and unglamorous take on that dynamic. Fun Fact: Growing up Jason Statham's father had a stall at what you would call a "flea market" selling bootleg & stolen merchandise & would regularly have a young Jason help him work the stall. Wanting to break the cycle as it were Statham got really into sports, at School he infact was friends and football team mates with Vinnie Jones (Bullet-Tooth Tony) & he excelled especially at diving eventually competing for England at the Commonwealth Games. From there he went into modelling whereby he was reintroduced to Vinnie Jones & met Guy Ritchie who was preparing to shoot his first movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels... When he learned of Stathams upbringing he gave him his first role: Bacon - A loveable rouge selling stolen items out of a suitcase at the flea market. so in away despite not wanting to follow his fathers footsteps it was his fathers unsavory career which launched Stathams movie career.

Lmfao! Don’t worry bro it’s Brad Pitt... happens to the best of us... that was so perfect it seems scripted but I don’t think so lol
14:38 the pan in on you two made me start laughing so hard. Such a great editing choice to match the scene
Favourite characters?
Doug's twin daughters. No particular reason. :D
Seriously, it would have to be Sol and Vinny. The sarcastic banter is sublime. - "It's a f***ing anti-craft gun Vincent."
My favourite characters?
*ALL OF THEM*
“You’ll raise hell, let alone pulses” 😂
5:29 - ''Needsano lord'ring sahn...'' 😂
It's hard to pick a favorite character, but if I had to, it would have to be Brick Top played brilliantly by Alan Ford. The presence he commands in every scene is just amazing, and his lines are simply iconic:
Turkish: "You take sugar?" Brick Top: "No thank you, Turkish. I'm sweet enough."
or
"Do you know what 'nemesis' means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by a horrible cunt. Me."
or
"I don't care if he's Muhammad 'I'm hard' Bruce Lee, you can't change fighters."
Just sublime!
Alan had a bit part as a cab driver in "An American Werewolf In London".
No no no he said and I’m tryna spell it as best as I can .. “No Loidering Sign” LOLOL
I saw this in theaters at 10-years-old, and it was the first VHS I bought for myself (used at Blockbuster for $9.99; my mom was with me, so they let me buy it.)
Must’ve been awesome times now that you think about it glad I still had blockbusters growing up
Guy Ritchie being Guy Ritchie, which is fine.
"lock, stock and two smoking barrels" and "the gentleman" are must watches from guy richie too
One of my favorites! Try Lock stock and two smoking barrels. Same director :)
For the missus's clarification, @25:51 he said "I need to have a shite!"
Doug the Head died in 2007 and Cousin Avi died in 2013, never was aware of it but I guess it makes sense since they were both older, but it's so weird they've been gone this long and I didn't even realize it. RIP you legends.
Interestingly enough, the guy who plays Brick Top used to be an actual gangster in the 60s and 70s.
Brick Top was the best part of this movie. I quoted him for a long time after seeing it.
Do you know what nemesis means?
"no thank you Turkish, im sweet enough"
Goody gumdrops
The cowboy hat and sunglasses is a proper great look🙌🏻
And btw people walk around drinking milk in scotland loads! Must be a UK thing
This is such a good movie, super good classic. So many good characters and persona!
You NEED to watch Lock, Stock and 2 smoking barrels and Rock ‘N’ Rolla. Both Guy Ritchie films and both up there with snatch. BTW the Mrs is adorable and very cute laugh.
Tyrone should have had his own spinoff 🤣 🤣 🤣
I really liked this movie and you guys are so funny. Good job. I enjoyed hearing your commentary.
Excellent reaction guys, I'm new to your channel. Guy Ritchie has quite a few good films under his belt and everyone has mentioned them so I'll recommend Layer Cake directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Daniel Craig before he became James Bond, great movie.
This movie is hilarious throughout. So many memorable lines and characters.
This was before Jason Statham established himself as an action star and was only his second movie, the first being another Guy Ritchie film: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels which was similar but focused on drugs and card gambling. Before that he was in some music videos. Info from IMDb
My FAVORITE movie of all-time. LS&2SB is amazing as well. Wish there were more movies like those.
Need to have a shite became my wake up words for a few years. My partner of the time hated it but always made me smile.
I think this is my favourite Guy Richie film. After living in Ireland for a long time its weird to not need subtitles at any stage. Great fun film that I will be digging out again for another watch. Keep up the great work folks. Hello from Fermangh
One of the most quotable movies ever! To this day my friends and I toss Snatch quotes around.
I love the film Snatch, I can watch this film time and time again. Good reactions :)
This movie was criminally underrated until the last few years
THANKS Bret... and thanks to the two of you for this :)
And, it's pronounced: no loy-uh-een.
Glad you liked the pick, Chef.! It was a great reaction.!
@@badmilly Guy Ritchie always delivers on the camaraderie, y'now?
I hope they get around to Lock Stock and RockNRolla soon.
Lotsa love for Man from UNCLE as well :)
Careful Brett don't start stalking ya lol
lol I'm laughing at 3 seconds in. 😅
I always loved that despite all of his stupid acts and embarrassments, Tommy actually gets a chance to show some real moxie in the arcade.
This was absolutely my introduction to heist films, Jason Statham, and British films! (Although this is technically British-American.)
I wasn't aware of Ocean's Eleven (1960 and 2001) until afterwards. They're very different, but I feel like this is the darker, grimier, and unglamorous take on that dynamic. I prefer this cast, but I think it's ironic that Brad Pitt starred in both. 👌👌👌
You could say British, American and Russian if you're talking about characters, but as Guy Ritchie is English and he wrote and directed Snatch its basically just English.
Ever seen Den of Thieves? Excellent heist film.
@@OblivionGate Right! I recalled it as a British film, but then I saw the classification of "British-American" when I looked it up.
It mentioned the film being a collaboration between the US and UK. I think that might be because of the production companies and distributors involved.
@@slimbrady6691 No, I hadn't heard of that one. I looked it up and it looks pretty interesting, though. Thanks for the recommendation! 👌👌👌
@@DMovieman Yea it's on Netflix. I watched it on a whim one night just because I saw it had Gerard Butler and his action movies are normally pretty fun. I was blown away, I really enjoyed it.
So this Bret person has never heard of California with Brad Pitt? That's his most unglamorous role.
Hey Chris, I have heard of Kalifornia.! Yes, it is definitely in contention for the most ugly Brad Pitt has ever been in a film. Great movie as well but, I was trying to combine what I thought was his best acting as well as un-glam. I gave you a thumbs up for reminding me of that flick. Might have to pick it for the Mrs. soon.
@@badmilly
Oh it's really you!
How about that! 😄
And thanks for reminding me that it's spelled with the old K. 👍
Don't forget Brad in 12 Monkeys.
@@Marina_in_oz
I thought of that first but when it comes to "unglamorous" I must say that Kalifornia takes the kake. He is quite disgusting in that one, both the personality and his over all manners. Long time since I watched it and it might be because he was so disgusting in it. And that's probably why people have forgotten it. It's not a bad movie.
@@chrissibersky4617 Gotta remember this was a 'personal choice'. Everyone has a preference. Fight Club he was a disgusting fuck. 12 Monkeys he was a disgusting fuck and Kalifornia the same... This one was my choice.! All are valid choices and I appreciate them all.!!
I really like the three bankrobbers but Tommy is my favorite. The actor has range too. He plays very small and meek in this movie and in another movie he plays a mean intimidating skinhead.
You guys rule! Stay happy, healthy and cool 👍
It's been many years since I watched this film, and also _Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels_ but I remember enjoying them.
Thanks for reacting to one of my top 10 movies of all time. It's one of those that you can watch 20-times and still find it a fun ride. Every character is unique and interesting, and the comedy isn't too over the top or forced. Overall, a really good movie.
5:33 "Lord of the Rings sign"
3rd Pig (uncredited) was MY favourite character.
One of my favorite movies, along with Fight Club, my favorite Brad Pitt characters.
If you like this watch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Directed by Guy Ritchie, and Jason Stateman's first movie.
One of the best and coolest movies I've ever seen. Brad Pitt is a sort of anti hero role model in this movie.
I can't think of a movie with more funny dialogue than this.
Hi, I love this film it's one of my favourites.
Your reaction to it was great as usual.
As you liked this film my I suggest reacting to the prequel to this film (LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS)
I would like to thank you both for such a amazing reaction channel.
Have a great evening both of you.
YES!! One of the funniest Guy Ritchie movies ever made!
This and lock stock and 2 smoking barrels
I remember seeing this in the theater and getting so many chills at the line, "And a pikey reaction is a fucking thing." So badass. SO badass.
