I am German and I love the english accent in this movie. This is the only movie I watch in the original version without dubbing or subtitles just because of the accents.
I think their post-view chat sections at the end are what makes this better than most similar channels, for me. Some other channels out there with 40k subscribers will just have like a 5 minute summary at the end! Which to me is a red flag cos when you watch a film with a pal you wanna talk about it, right?! These guys do that; and are more honest, earthy and relatable than a lot of bigger channels. (So yeah, congrats FRR guys!)
This movie is so endlessly quotable. An all-time favorite. EDIT: still holding out hope you guys watch Boardwalk Empire one day (the actor who plays Tommy plays Al Capone throughout the series)
41:55: "This Guy Ritchie dude. You said he did 'Baby Driver'?" "'Baby Driver' Yup." Sorry to be this dude, but: Edgar Wright (Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, the World's End, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World) was responsible for "Baby Driver". Guy Ritchie is probably best known in the states for having directed the Live Action incarnation of Disney's "Aladdin" and the two Sherlock Holmes films featuring Robert Downey Junior. "Snatch" is actually of fallow up to Ritchie's first film "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", which has a similar tone and Candance.
Guys now you have seen Snatch you gotta do Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels the preceding Guy Ritchie film to this. Very similar in tone but just as hilarious from a crazy plot and over the top characters, you will love it.
Guy Ritchie didn’t do “Baby Driver”, that was Edgar Wright who also did Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim. Guy Ritchie made “Sherlock Holmes” and “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels”.
Been watching you guys since the first episode of the sopranos. Nice to see the channel growing. You guys deserves even more recognition. Much love from Argentina :)
Can't watch "Snatch" without the earlier film "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" together. Same kind of interesting editing and fun film as this one.
He did it twice though, Lock, Stock, And Two Smoking Barrels is equal to Snatch even if Snatch maaaybe is a twinge better. But you're right, he hasn't done it since those two movies.
Fuuuuck yes. I quote this movie all the time. The scene where they burn Brad Pitts mom alive is so visually striking and genuinely infuriating. It’s so visceral the thought of watching her burn is one of the strongest scenes in cinema.
Guy Ritchie was probably the best of all the Tarantino mimickers that came out of the woodwork post Pulp Fiction. *Tarantino, by the way, was heavily influenced by Elmore Leonard and Brian De Palma, so... There's nothing new under the sun and everybody emulates everybody.* It also helped that Ritchie put that British spin on the gangster genre, too. Took the technique from Hollywood but the milieu was fresh. I dunno... SNATCH is pure testicular entertainment (kinda like Predator and The Thing, there is literally no estrogen involved) and therefore it's insanely rewatchable. At least for all us insufferable douchebags swinging our dicks around out here. :)
Guy Ritchie, King of the Jump Cuts. Love the story and Brad Pitt was totally immersed in his role. Amazing performance. Thanks for reacting. Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels is Ritchie's previous film which is similar but another great story. Highly recommend.
Thanks for good editing. Almost all of other channels reacting to movies show like 10% of a clean picture. Other 50% are blurred and another 40% is a zoomed "reaction" of a blogger.
Guy Richie’s original solo movies are amazing. If you haven’t already, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is essentially the counter part of this movie without being connected in anyway. Great commentary and reaction, subbed up 🙏🏼
Mickey didn't do a baseball swing without the bat wtf 😂😂😂😂 He caught George's right hand punch with his left, lead it away, made him miss and used momentum to put George's lights out with his right
Quentin Tarantino inspired a few directors with his style, so there were a bunch of these types of movies in the late 90's/early 00's. Guy Ritchie was one, but eventually found his own style, while the other Quentin copies faded away.
I'd forgotten how good the sense of humour is. It's definitely aged well. The characters, script and editing are its strongest aspects, IMO. It stands up to repeat viewings to those who are fans of it (it's very quotable).
Thats Stephan Graham as Tommy. Best Al Capone ever put to screen. On Boardwalk Empire. Absolutely slays & steals all the scenes in a cast thats stacked. Doubly impressive being a Brit
A favorite film of mine... Jason Statham and Brad Pitt..love it... Just too funny with the script and the different dialects...squeaking dog !?..lol... 🌿🌿🌿
The actor who played Tommy also plays Al Capone in "boardwalk empire" , wich yall def should check out. Omar from the wire also plays a lead role in it. Its based on real characters and stories from that era. Its HBO so u know its good. 1st they made Sopranos, then the wire and after that boardwalk empire.
Vinnie Jones was a vicious player...played for Wimbledon at a center back position....he wrote a book with a title:1000 ways to hurt your opponent without referee noticing it😂
Guy ritchie has sort of a prequel of this called "Lock stock and two smoking barrels" , with some of the same characters , incl Jason Stathum. Snatch is the better movie but the other is fun to , in the same style

Mickeys crew are a famous gypsy family from England that Brad spent time with to learn how to play the part, and yes they do speak like that ìf they want to f with you.
Gypsies is/was a general term for several ethnic groups of nomadic people in Europe, living often in caravans. By far the largest ethnic group among them are the Roma which have descended from people that emigrated from North-Western India more than a thousand years ago and arrived in Europe more than 500 years ago. Besides the Roma there are other ethnic groups that did originate from within Europe that were based on social groups that adopted a nomadic lifestyle, which over a few centuries ended up creating their own ethnic subgroup. In Ireland and the UK, the Irish Travellers are such a group. Many from these groups have become settled, in particular in several Eastern European countries; their ethnic identity and partly tribal structures still often keeping them at arm’s length from mainstream society. Many also emigrated to the American continent, sometimes as slaves. There they represent mostly an ethnic minority or simply a group with a different heritage.
Lock Stock and 2 Smoking barrels was Guy's first hit, Brad Pitt seen it and ask for a part in a movie Snatch . Rock nRolla is next, but not as big a cult following. The Gentleman is a more recent big budget Guy Ritchie classic. Loved the reaction L&S
It’s amazing that I still have an ass, considering how many times I’ve laughed it off while watching this movie and reactions to it. Those things aren’t easy to have reattached.
