Thank you Jeff, I'm just starting my journey for an Aortic bi-valve/stenosis replacement. My cardio is clear at 65yrs and feel pretty good. There hasn't been a decision yet on whether a mech or living tissue replacement will be preformed. I do exercise everyday and haven't felt a turndown yet. Although sometimes things are so gradual they're hard to notice. It's hard not to be anxious about the surgery and watching someone else going through what I'm about to go through, but I believe in not being in the dark about it. Take care.
I agree 100% with you on the breathing tube. That is my biggest fear. I’m probably going to have my open heart surgery end of February 2024 as I am still in the process of selecting a surgeon. I can hardly tolerate a straw when I’m drinking a soft drink let alone a breathing tube. I’d like the comment you made about. Perhaps they take it out before you wake up. I’m going to ask my surgeon about that So thanks for that comment
It's a common worry. My surgeon said it was the most common thing he heard from patients. At the moment it wasn't good, but looking back on it even the day after made it seem like a small thing. I hope all goes well for you.

Thanks Jeff. I am one week post surgery and just ran across your channel. I look forward to watching them all.
I hope they are healthy and most of all, I hope you have a smooth recovery.
