If your going in for this surgery do not think it will be the same for you. I had the surgery 5 years ago at age 49. I watched these videos too expecting the worst but only took pain meds for two days then only Tylenol at night. Do the breathing excersizing as much as PIA it is and walk as much as you can do, its the best thing you can do. Was it pleasent? No, but just have to be positive because you will feel so much better. 2 weeks after surgery I was getting getting yelled at for doing yard work lol.
That's great and yes, I've spoken with several others who have had an experience like yours. I'm just documenting my experience, I think the biggest thing is what you said about being positive.
First, I hope everything goes well for you. The waiting is the toughest part it seems. I went back to work remotely at 6 weeks. I did half days for a couple of weeks and then did one day in the office for the next couple of months. I sit at a desk for most of my work so that helps, but you really just need to see how you feel week by week to decide. Don't rush yourself.
I’m 3 weeks post surgery. Your videos are very informative and inspiring. Glad you’re well!
Thanks! I hope you are doing well. Every day has its ups and downs but you'll see the improvement week over week.

Did you have the ption for valve sparing David's procedure and rejected it for bental or that choice wasn't offered to you.?
I didn't have that option. My valve had some stenosis so it wasn't able to be saved.

Good Lord. What you’ve been through. It sounds like Hell.
There were definitely some hard times, but lots of good too. I tried to share my whole experience and not just the best parts.
I am about to go through this soon in the UK, How long before you were able to work being in mind this video was published four months ago now.
