    Best to buy with LR warranty from dealer. I bought a well specced 67 reg HSE dynamic from a LR dealer with 2 yr warranty a year ago for £40k with a service plan!. They changed the front lower arms, front discs and pads and front tyres at a dealer retail cost of £1500 before sale . Would have cost more privately or elsewhere. Has run superbly, air con needed topping this year. Would recommend LR history as it enhances resale values, and allows the warranty to be extended each year for around £850. By the way, don't skimp on tyres, get the original fit Pirelli Scorpion verde all season for £200 each fitted . The fronts lasted 25k miles and the rears 33k miles, which is excellent.

    I owned a 2015 Range Rover sport v8 supercharged for about 2 years. Added 16,000 miles to the car, lost 0 money. Basically drove the car for free. Car never had any issues, I called it “the brick wall”. Extremely reliable from my experience. I would also have to agree that it’s the best car ever made and if I could have 1 car for the rest of my life it would be a Range Rover. In fact I’m getting another one in the next few months... The car is the epitome of luxury, sportiness, comfort, reliability and practicality. Highly recommend and agree with a lot of what was said in this video 👍🏽👍🏽

    As an MOT tester i can say that the range rover cars are extremely reliable mechanically !.
    A couple of issues at 100,000 milage you ought to look out for commonly :
    Rear brake pipes corroded
    Rear brake hoses corroded
    Differential leaks
    Side steps often corroded ( this does not affect MOTs )
    The only issue when buying these cars at a high milage is the electronics, most owners do not put in the effort for extra servicing such as replacing the suspension valve block filters etc.
    These cars are built very solid and my only advice would be for anybody purchasing is to have a good inspection of the cars electronics/suspension heights/braking system

The engine management lit up the engine destroyed in the time it took to pull over to the hard shoulder. New engine will cost around £6000. It’s going to RR diagnostics to determine if it’s their fault……..I wouldn’t hold my breath.

    Bought a Range Rover Tdi V6 Diesel Autobiography Sport Dynamic fully loaded with 7500 miles 6 years old 2 months ago, I am delighted
    with the car, the Range Rover dealer wanted to charge £1500 to service the car, it had been garage parked for 2 years and had missed a service.
    It is going into a very good garage for service (one who services Ferrari's). PS the car was bought at auction through a dealer friend.

    Hi mate, great video and like below commenters the RR has become of interest. I’ve seen a RR Sport 15 plate for around £23k with 81k miles on the clock. Has the pano roof but doesn’t have the Meridian Sound System, is this a deal breaker?

      It really depends, if you are a fan of good music then yes it’s deal breaker as the standard sound system isn’t great. Worth checking out still if it ticks all other boxes!

    I bought a low mileage (30k miles) 2017 SDV6 and it's been nothing but trouble. Constant issues with the DPF despite regular motorway use. Nobody knows how to fix it. I've spent hours under the hood. Love the way the car drives, but cannot justify how often I'm staring at a check engine light and how much time the car is in limp mode. As for the broken crankshafts, maybe it doesn't affect a ton of owners, but the ones it does affect are out thousands and thousands of pounds. Search range rover broken crankshaft and decide for yourself.

    • @Mina_munas

      Same issue on the Land Rover discovery. The car directly goes to the limp mode. “Visit dealer” message comes on the display. It’s a shame.

    • @AutomotiveEvangelist
      @AutomotiveEvangelist 2 года назад

      @@Mina_munas Mina, have your mechanic check the solenoid on the charge air intake valve. This is the valve that mixes the turbocharged air from the primary and secondary turbos, as well as from the EGR valve. Mine was sticking and causing a P0234-77 fault code (turbo overboost) and when that fault code is logged, the car WILL NOT regenerate the DPF. That's why the car was suddenly giving me the message to visit dealer for the clogged DPF - the overboost error won't always light a check engine light. I'd like to say that a Land Rover mechanic figured this out, but I figured it out on my own because those guys don't seem to have any clue how to fix their own products.

    • @chrismchale1174
      @chrismchale1174 2 года назад

      Shane I had the same issue on my SDV6 and after purchasing an expensive diagnostic tool (GAP) found that the error was a turbo overboost. This is caused by a sticking butterfly valve on the main air intake. It's not overly expensive to repair and this will most probably sort it. Google the issue and the sticking inlet valve is very common.

    • @AutomotiveEvangelist
      @AutomotiveEvangelist 2 года назад

      @@chrismchale1174 I already fixed that but still have the error. I've traced it to the solenoid on the charge air intake valve. Waiting on the part to arrive from Germany.
