      This is so funny I only had the car for four weeks and because I bought it from a main dealer Land Rover Inchcape Chester I was able to get my money back.
      Afterwards, I realised the car had a lot more problems with it. It had a bad repair job on the front bumper. The drivers door had an accident and badly repaired and don’t forget I bought the car from a main dealer.
      In hindsight, I really dodged a bullet there.
      I now have an Audi A8, 2019 model.

Jags, discos, L405 the issue has been around since around 2010 and you only hear the ones that LR don’t replace under warranty! Great cars just poor service from LR if they admitted the faults and helped to put right consistently mate related to mileage and under 10 yrs old everyone would sing their praises but they don’t! There are lots that never get an issue but the spun bearing shell/crankshaft issue is a big one and the newer models still suffer the same fate it purely luck as a fair fee are FLRSH and we’ll maintained

I even have neighbours and they have never called the AA not recover truck to pick up a dead Range Rover . I see them driven all over my area happily so it makes me question that, if these problems is so rampant as portrayed online why would people keep buying them.. and I mean used range rovers , not even brand new with warranty…

      @paulb8916 2 года назад +1

      @@sammyg805 I know on the grand scheme of things it might be 1 or 2% but its only the TDV6 or SDV6 engine that suffers the issue, I bought mine expecting to spend some money same as my last one but she was good and that was the v8 supercharged model! Other countries in the world have forced LR to sort it I think one asian county did and also I think California has a lemon law so if the MFR wo covers it. The engine is a good engine pulls well with plenty of power and not bad on fuel its just one little issue where the shell the bearing is in rotates that then blocks the oil to the bearing causing it to wear which then mean the crankshaft doesn't sit 100% true and which then puts more pressure on the rapidly wearing bearing causing it to fail and then the crank can crack! this then mean a new bottom end but as any swarf from the crank could have gone anywhere its safer to replace the turbos too so its a complete unit! it can be done cheaper but often with only a 3 month or 6month warranty where as the LR unit has 2yrs.
