Just got a 2014 HSE Sport a few months ago (the Super Charged V6 here in the States), and it's a dream. We got it with decent mileage (40k miles) and a great price (about $35k / £27k), and we managed to get the one with the heated steering wheel and the center console fridge. They are incredibly capable and you're absolutely right! They're a great find if they're in decent shape (ours was garage kept by the first owner), and if well maintained, they make an excellent option! Love your videos here in the US!
In 2017, a year before the last significant upgrade to the L494, there was a very light upgrade of the in-car entertainment. It gained a new screen, which was effectively the top half of the Touch Pro Duo system that went first into the Velar when it was released. Significantly, it no longer had the buttons at either side - the whole area was now LCD. It got the SIM function in the centre console box, along with the WiFi hotspot that provided and a better Sat Nav data integration. The response of the on-screen buttons was massively improved, and it is upgradable by a dealer to match the latest layout, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If you can afford this 2017 facelift model, then I believe it's well worth it. Everything else, however, is the same as the 2015 model.

You have such an infectious personality! You were made for this. Thank you for this review. I’m literally driving up to Alexandria Va on Sunday to purchase my first Range Rover. It’s a 2015 and Dark Grey just like the one you’re reviewing in this video. Your review helped me get over jitters of buying an “older” model. Thanks for this! You’re awesome!
Bought one of these 2 months ago. Got a 63plate HSE in Santorini black with 42k which has no extras fitted. Bought from a Land Rover dealer with full LR dealer history including 7 year belts service for £26k. Been on a few trips between Glasgow and Leeds and its doing 41mpg. I'm delighted. Got a heated steering wheel and clock spring from eBay for £280 and its brilliant.
Great review. I just picked up my new P400 HSE Dynamic last weekend. Mines Indus Silver with the black pack, with the Pimento Red/Black interior... silky smooth V6 Petrol. I love it. Mines the latest facelift (20 Plate) and the new look just brings it on even more.
Fantastic decision. If I was in the market for a new one I'd also get the V6 petrol one. Enjoy driving it and I hope you have really good security on it.
MilesV8 Thank you. It’s brilliant. My first Range Rover (after many years in Audi’s). I’ve got trackers fitted and GAP insurance which hopefully I’ll never need 🤞
“Make sure you buy the HSE”. You sound like Marie Antoinette, last Queen of France. And whatever happened to ‘ten to two’. You’re wafting round Lancashire in an unguided missile. 😝
I was so impressed with your review, I went and bought one haha. I was lucky enough with an inheritance in the bank, to afford a17 plate ( cheap tax) with only 11200 miles on the clock. It doesnt have the sun roof but I think I'll get over that. it's just great to drive, I can see why you like them so much. Great reviews, keep it up.
Hi. Another really good video - and an honest review. I have just sold a 64 plate and after 12 months ownership I made £500 because the main dealers have no stock - I did want a Vogue 12 months old but ................ walked away with a new Defender SE and its an amazing car! More Discovery than Defender in bloodline but there is enough Defender in there just to warrant the name. Keep the videos coming, especially with another lockdown - get your drive full of cars this time!
I just got a 2006 4.4 lpg converted RR Sport in black with grey leather seats. Have a few things to do to it, but overall, I’m very happy with it. The way you feel when driving it it’s pretty cool, only thing better is a full size RR.
That is why I love your videos, even if I have zero in the cars you’re reviewing at the time, I still watch them. Keep up the great content. PS, give us a shout if you get a B7 RS4, I want out of my Golf GTD for one of those! Ha ha (seriously though)
Yup, I have no interest in Range Rovers yet I watched every second. Love Matts vids. Breath of fresh air , no nonsense, highly informative and the humours right up my street. The way certain car shows used to be before big Egos and nonsense took over. Keep them coming 👏🏻👏🏻🍻
Matt I love Sports. Fantastic practical cars. The V6 TD is great, economical and efficient. I’m getting your viewing figures up Matt. I’m going back and watching all your Land & Range Rover videos. 👌
Just bought a 2017 sport and THEN decided to watch videos like yours! I know, what a fool I am. Did no research, just an impulsive purchase. Fortunately, it looks like I made a good choice. Your video made me feel loads better, cheers. Pheweeeeee😂
Found this channel the other week and can’t stop watching love the honest reviews. Hope you get your Christmas card from the Rover owners club this year 😂
Just brought myself a L320, 2011 reg but the 2012 version (turn knob etc). Best car ive ever owned...albeit for nearly 2 months. Timing belt was changed during sale from the garage and 6 month warranty. Touch wood nothing has gone wrong. Im currently looking into a gearbox fluid change and then saving 1-2k just like you said in case of any other repairs. Done just under 100k miles.
@@michaelkinsella8904 Currently 3 years in. Both inlet manifolds, and literally right now at the mechanic for rear ace bar/drop links/bushes. probably spent about 3k in repairs/maintenance costs.
Just been to view a few cars, I was looking at a cupra formentor, which was rather tasty. ‘Just’ enough room for us.. just. But the salesman, quietly mentioned he was selling his 2017 RR sport. Autobiography dynamic, fully loaded. 58k. Full service history. Full mot with no advisory. 26,000. It was black with cream not white interior. Beautiful, stunning motor. Totally changed my mind of a ‘car’ choice I was looking at. Proper next level really. I only really drive the family car on a Sunday, due to work van Mon-sat. Seems rather good price I thought. It needs 2 wheels refurbished but that is literally it. Great review once again. 👍
Always a pleasure watching your uploads Matt, really enjoy your style of reviews and the diversity of vehicles.Your opinion and advice should be a great help to prospective buyers.Oh and congrats on nearly 75k subscribers, well deserved and fast approaching that big 100k plaque.👍🏼
Don’t worry. It is pretty reliable. I bought one over 100k miles 3l petrol version in china but in good condition 3years ago. Until now Only replaced 2 sensors. Other than that, it is perfect. I love it!!! Driving like a monster on highway
So true what you said with reliability, I've owned Range Rover's & Discovery's & they have been fine, yes when they age a little you do need to spend. But non of them ever broke down when we travelled, they would get you to your destination & home, with no problems at all. Great reviews I always check your videos keep at it fantastic stuff.
hear me out, if u buy a range rover u have to really take a look at what engines are brakeing often (and ofc if the car was maintained/taken care off). If i would be buying another land rover i would buy a 306hp 3.0 diesel or a 256hp 3.0 diesel. Those engines are the most reliable in my opinion. I had 3 of them neither of them broke and with my friend who had a 292hp diesel engine same with my friend who had a 2 liter one it broke and he had to replace the whole engine. So if u buy one get one of those two engines all other ones arent so reliable. Defenitly dont go with 2 liter ones, they are braking constantly cuz such a small engine is never gonna be enough for such a big and heavy car
Excellent review mate, we have a 2015 hse dynamic with the black pack and we love it, I've been waiting for this review for ages. And thanks for the reply's to my DMs means a lot.
Great reassuring review. I traded my 2013 RRS Autobiography (old shape) last year for a 2016 L494 in silver with the full black pack. Just clicked over 50k Miles now, much lighter and seems quicker than the last one, fuel economy appears to be better too. The auto lowering is my favourite feature on this new model. Great off road too. I just wish supermarket carpark spaces were wider. Sometimes makes me wish I had kids again....🤔No, does it F......!
There is absolutely nothing not to love about that car, it's a stunner in every way and looks like a top quality product. If I was in the market for a Range Rover, this is likely be the model I would go for.
Best car I ever owned. 3.0 diesel 300hp. 2014 autobiography 22inch wheels blacked, full loaded (alcantara/terrain response 2 dynamic/extended leather/webasro/360cameras/panoramic roof and so on and so on. X5 or gle is no match. Makes me smile ever day. Love the thing. If you can afford one, get it. I had bmw for 4 years and audi for 10. RR sport is the king!
Got F type R 550hp british racing green recently. Now the garage is complete. Will swich in some time from rr sport to 2017+ panamera and than ner rr spot or the new rr fullsizedaddy..Love british cars for 4 years now. Will not get back to audi/bmw anytyme soon! Greetings from Poland!
Mate, you're the one person I was waiting eagerly for a review of this sport from, now we got it. Could you do a review of the '12-'14 Cayenne GTS when you can get your hands on one?..
great video..its all about looking after your car..regular service..cam belt..transmission service..and you can drive them for many enjoyable miles..had mine 2 yrs now..oh i treat the fuel with an egr/dpf/turbo cleaner every 3000 miles..i know there are haters of this car..but trust me you get more looks with smiles than frowns
"Couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding..." Honestly, I am still laughing at that one... Absolutely brilliant video. Not just for the quips and laughs, but for real information and straight delivery of the facts too. Thoroughly enjoying your channel! :)
Love Range Rovers, still the best looking , just concerns about faults and costs of repair, but they are a lovely drive so much comfort................er and the fuel for a petrol wow, thirsty on a run, but a classic none the less, great review again
IMO think the Range Rover Sport is nicer looking and better proportioned than the bigger RR although it doesn't have so much of the " Out of the way plebs!" presence as the full size beast. Good review and good advice on keeping back part of the budget plus setting aside £100 per month for repairs - a better propostion than buying an insurance backed used car warranty that will probably have more catches than a victorian corset!
Rich people take land rover because they provide 3 year and extend 1 year warranty so if observed then you find rich people though any car from bucket after 3 to 4 year because they wanna try something new
!!!! Never one to sit on the fence with his opinions !!!!! surely that is an understatement 😊😊😊😊 Love your uploads, love your humour, love you, Matt 👌👌👌 Simple, as stated🙌🙌🙌🙌
I’m very happy to hear that the Range Rover Sport finally has become very good and dependable. Many years ago a friend bought a brand top-spec new one which soon became a nightmare, with all sorts of issues that the ‘experts’ couldn’t fix. Finally the car was returned to the dealer as more or less crap.
Would love to see your L405 come on youtube again :) and with these big cars, maybe a parking demonstration in spaces next to 'peasant' sized cars would be helpful too! Beautiful cars.
Another well presented and unbiased (🙄😏) opinion. I would also like to thank you for the number of subscribers that have come over to my channel from High Peaks Autos as we are now that wee bit closer to getting funds for the Royal Marines charity, we still have a fair bit to go, but your channel has really helped me get that wee bit closer. Thanks again Matt.👍🙏👌
father in law has one of those, 15 plate autobiography in this grey-blue colour during lockdown he bought facelift bumpers & headlamps & has fitted them to the car himself, then paid a company in italy or somewhere like that to program the lights to his car... over skype... saves a lot of cash in long run, the lights & bumpers & cost to paint it & match it all up is quite excessive but you can sell the old bumpers & headlights & not have to spend a fortune on a facelift
Had the same experience as you, my mate has one his Mrs has one I driven both nice bit of kit I personally preferred his Westminster and I could have had it but it doesn't suit my lifestyle. We came off the same council estate raggedy arse'd kids with nothing, hard work and sacrifice helped us achieve far more than I could have dreamed of as a kid, my mate and his brother took it to a different level. They are both exactly the same but have the finer things in life, I remember them driving old Bison tippers back in the day, no floor candles for a heaters in the winter like a sauna in the summer and up till 2am changing diffs and half shafts lying in shite and water. Now the volvos, and scania's are like any luxury vehicle to drive. People in general never see where it started only the end result, Envy I can handle jealous'y is a terrible thing, sorry for ranting on bud 😂🤙
Fancied a Range Rover Sport for a while but like many was always nervous about the bad rep Land Rovers have etc. I watched your video with your own Range Rover where you said - "what are you going to do, never buy the car you want incase it breaks down" (or something like that). That was it for me- you were so right. So I traded in both our Volvos (S90 & S60) and got a 67 plate RRS - HSE Dynamic, same colour as the one you are driving here - so far - I love it. For the geeks - anyone thinking about one that is about 3 years old (17 or 67 plate) look at the infotainment system. Mine was built with a larger hard drive which means the infotainment system can be updated to the current one you get on a brand new one. The chap at the dealership said that some 17 & 67 plates have it some don't, so if it's your thing have a look. I'm not really sure how I stumbled across your channel Matt, but really enjoy the vids and convinced me to buy a Range Rover Sport :).
Great review, Matt, as always. I'm thinking of getting almost the exact same car when I come off my company car scheme next March (so I can drive over a few Peugeots - lol!). No doubt you'll have sold it long before then but if not, give me a shout. Can't think of anyone more trustworthy from whom I'd want to buy a car! 😀
What is the point of a panoramic sunroof? The driver doesn’t need to see above or behind him- he’s not a fighter pilot! A dark and non distracting background is beneficial to creating a safe driving environment. Darkened glass behind the ‘b pillar’ helps keep the driver focussed ahead and on his (or her) mirrors!
Absolutely love my '15 RRS Dynamic in Corris Grey and blackout package. Did an AP-Tune and SC pulley upgrade then finished it off with a QuickSilver exhaust. Audio heaven! Thx for the video!!
@@HighPeakAutos it was brilliant. Best car I’ve owned in any country I’ve lived in. Highly recommend the 3.0 V6 Diesel. Smooth and remarkably efficient and economical too 👌
You sound like a top bloke honestly. Here in Baltics we would like to hear more of a technical nuances, but that's probably irrelevant for UK buyers. Cheers from Latvia! Love the channel and proper language.
Very timely. I'm looking to sell my Audi Q7 4M 2015 and was looking at a Range Rover Sport, but around the 2017 mark, which I believe is the year where they introduced the InControl Infotainment system which is considerably better than the one in this video. I know this sounds stupid and you shouldn't buy a car for it's "screen", but quite honestly, the wife can work CarPlay without my help, and that is priceless! Great video.
I have a 2017 HSE Dynamic and incontrol is a big upgrade from the previous gen. had to get a software upgrade to get CarPlay though so look out for that. Done 48k miles from new and it’s been good as gold! Only problem is replacing it - nothing quite compares.
Matt another great and informative review - perfect weather and location for the Range Rover in its natural habitat rather than the crowded streets of London.
@Paulie Gualtieri my dad has 214SEi, has 30K miles on it, great condition. They’re starting to get into the classic category now. Very good looking cars in my opinion. Definitely can see how well Rover and Honda worked together on them.
@Paulie Gualtieri I think they’re all autos too (not sure tho). I’d love one of them, again, can see BMW influence on it with the lights and a few extra bits. I have a 75, currently a project that I do on my channel. It’s a 1.8 K Series Petrol...good engines, until they go wrong haha
Just to add the infamous 1994 base model Toyota Celica which is owned by Scotty Kilmer. I'd it was owned by anyone else it would be less reliable. Well it seems like that 😂
You say service the gearbox - but you can't. The ZF box has no adjustment available. It self compensates for clutch wear. All that can be done is fluid change, filter change which is a part of the pan. Heat is the killer of automatic transmissions, so perhaps an after market temperature gauge for the trans would be a wiser choice than an e-bay grill kit!
Hi Matt. I think this is one of the best looking vehicles out there! But I ain’t playing at Juventus yet, so I should probably pass this one 😂 Great review as always! Cheers
£100 /month to savings account is very sensible - you can ramp it up to cover all known costs, service, tax, tyres & insurance - it makes motoring less stressful.
Oh well, just succumbed. While I wait for the Defender 90 I ordered to be built by the next Apocalypse, I saw a very nice 2016 Dynamic HSE SDV6 with red leather and could not resist. Gorgeous beastie and a joy to drive.
Im planning to buy a 2017 Sport HSE but quite afraid of going forward with the purchase due to so many bad reviews. Dont really feel like buying one of these and then spending most of the time trying to fix it. This would be my entry into the world of Land Rover as Ive always wanted one. What is your view is it worth the risk?
I just put a deposit on a HSE Dynamic today. It’s a 2017 with 30k miles from a Land Rover dealer. Got it for the wife and added extended warranty at a discounted rate for £475. It will be the family car so I hope it last
Your views are the reality here in Essex. Vulgar is the perfect description. Anyway, great car. Perfect for family life, road trips, skiing holidays and much more. Reliability is a downside but every new car has issues. I still prefer an X5, only because I’ve been around them for years.
This dude has the best analogies and metaphors on RUclips. I sometimes try and memorise them for later use lol.

Bought from a Land Rover dealer with full LR dealer history including 7 year belts service for £26k. Been on a few trips between Glasgow and Leeds and its doing 41mpg. I'm delighted. Got a heated steering wheel and clock spring from eBay for £280 and its brilliant.
Congrats! Pleased to hear it. That sounds like great value
Matt I have just one word; brilliant: I can not understand how you are not on TV, great videos thank you
Thanks! I appreciate it
Good to hear someone taking Sense instead of running it down because they didn’t look after the car 🧐🇬🇧
@@jacobthompson8507 Glad you got your Rangie properly secured. Can't be too careful unfortunately.
The P400 isn’t a v6, it’s an Inline 6 cylinder like BMWs.
Loving the Miami vice Crockett touch Matt
I haven’t seen pushed up sleeves on a jumper since the 80s 👍🏼
Hahaha They're making a comeback I heard - rolled up sleeves that is... I've no idea about Tubbs and Crocket.
Just loved Miami vice
“Make sure you buy the HSE”. You sound like Marie Antoinette, last Queen of France. And whatever happened to ‘ten to two’. You’re wafting round Lancashire in an unguided missile. 😝
I was so impressed with your review, I went and bought one haha. I was lucky enough with an inheritance in the bank, to afford a17 plate ( cheap tax) with only 11200 miles on the clock. It doesnt have the sun roof but I think I'll get over that. it's just great to drive, I can see why you like them so much. Great reviews, keep it up.
Very nice
Good choice
“pothole or a Peugeot” 🤣🤣🤣
lol I was proud of that one
That is why I love your videos, even if I have zero in the cars you’re reviewing at the time, I still watch them. Keep up the great content.
PS, give us a shout if you get a B7 RS4, I want out of my Golf GTD for one of those! Ha ha (seriously though)
🤣 Matt's one liners are just too good
Yup, I have no interest in Range Rovers yet I watched every second. Love Matts vids. Breath of fresh air , no nonsense, highly informative and the humours right up my street. The way certain car shows used to be before big Egos and nonsense took over. Keep them coming 👏🏻👏🏻🍻
It was a good line.
Personally I would choose an Evoque over a full size RR . So much more practical for everyday use. One with a pano roof is a MUST though!
@Anthony Newman How did you know?? 🤷♂️
By far the best car presenter on youtube
To the point witty never cringe watching this guy unlike the others worthy of a spot on TV as a presenter
Pheweeeeee😂
Plenty of SVR’s in Cobham, driven by footballers in tracksuits and torn jeans...😂😂
Found this channel the other week and can’t stop watching love the honest reviews.
Hope you get your Christmas card from the Rover owners club this year 😂
Hahaha I didnt get one last year. Fingers crossed for this year. The elderly management team might have forgotten
Come back in 10 years and tell us how you got on and how much you spent on repairs.
@@michaelkinsella8904 Currently 3 years in. Both inlet manifolds, and literally right now at the mechanic for rear ace bar/drop links/bushes. probably spent about 3k in repairs/maintenance costs.
@@stan123bluenot bad for 3 years to be honest. I was expecting a horror story!
Your sense of humor kills me every time 🤣🤣🤣great review as always it's a lovely car and they're quick for their size 🇿🇦
Right now I don't have enough money to buy a car, but I watch these videos because of the wordplay and I learn a lot.
Thanks!
Much appreciated! Thank you!
Don’t worry. It is pretty reliable. I bought one over 100k miles 3l petrol version in china but in good condition 3years ago. Until now Only replaced 2 sensors. Other than that, it is perfect. I love it!!! Driving like a monster on highway
Which year did you buy ?
So true what you said with reliability, I've owned Range Rover's & Discovery's & they have been fine, yes when they age a little you do need to spend. But non of them ever broke down when we travelled, they would get you to your destination & home, with no problems at all. Great reviews I always check your videos keep at it fantastic stuff.
Thanks! I appreciate it
hear me out, if u buy a range rover u have to really take a look at what engines are brakeing often (and ofc if the car was maintained/taken care off).
No probs! They're great cars
This generation of the sport was introduced for the 2014 MY. Critical tming chain issues on the 5.0SC were fixed in 2012 for the 2013 MY.
Hahaha good point and good choice!
You do have kids............you jsut didn't bring them with you shopping......OR they're in the store and you're going to get them......!!!!
There is absolutely nothing not to love about that car, it's a stunner in every way and looks like a top quality product. If I was in the market for a Range Rover, this is likely be the model I would go for.
Right, that’s my mind finally made up, This is definitely my next motor.
They’re great cars. I love them
Got F type R 550hp british racing green recently.
I think this is one of the best (if not THE best) looking car ever
Love Range Rovers, still the best looking , just concerns about faults and costs of repair, but they are a lovely drive so much comfort................er and the fuel for a petrol wow, thirsty on a run, but a classic none the less, great review again
The hybrid is fantastic, 2 litre turbo petrol on that is absolutely fine, and for a car of this size the economy is great.
I bet
IMO think the Range Rover Sport is nicer looking and better proportioned than the bigger RR although it doesn't have so much of the " Out of the way plebs!" presence as the full size beast. Good review and good advice on keeping back part of the budget plus setting aside £100 per month for repairs - a better propostion than buying an insurance backed used car warranty that will probably have more catches than a victorian corset!
Best advise is to get a good local independent LR mechanic if you buy one It will save you a fortune 👍
Rich people take land rover because they provide 3 year and extend 1 year warranty so if observed then you find rich people though any car from bucket after 3 to 4 year because they wanna try something new
!!!! Never one to sit on the fence with his opinions !!!!! surely that is an understatement 😊😊😊😊 Love your uploads, love your humour, love you, Matt 👌👌👌 Simple, as stated🙌🙌🙌🙌
hahah thank you! Cheers :)
You are the best commentator ever. Your funny with your One-liners! I love my Ranger Rover Sport 2015 and my LR4 2016
Thanks!
Was it the sdv6 model
Yes, but the diesel V6 was not the problem. The car had all sorts of electrical and other issues, impossible to diagnose.
I’ve driven the 5.0ltr Supercharged, what a beast!
Would love to see your L405 come on youtube again :) and with these big cars, maybe a parking demonstration in spaces next to 'peasant' sized cars would be helpful too! Beautiful cars.
Good to listen to someone positive who knows what they are talking about brilliant
Thanks!
The newer shaped sport is so much nicer than the old model. Another great review mate! Look forward to a Velar review!
Pleased to hear it! Good luck!
One of the best real world reviews i watched, thanks.
father in law has one of those, 15 plate autobiography in this grey-blue colour
during lockdown he bought facelift bumpers & headlamps & has fitted them to the car himself, then paid a company in italy or somewhere like that to program the lights to his car... over skype...
saves a lot of cash in long run, the lights & bumpers & cost to paint it & match it all up is quite excessive but you can sell the old bumpers & headlights & not have to spend a fortune on a facelift
Love your channel bro... so nice to see somebody doing and talking about what they love.. And getting payed for it. 😊
Glad you enjoy it!
Great ...that was about the best review of any car I have heard...you covered a whole range of issues honestly. Thankyou
Glad it was helpful!
Lovely motor, my gaffer has one. Love driving it. Sadly the reaction from some other motorists isn't always good. Another excellent vid. Cheers
Did we just hit a pothole or a peugeot? The trials of Range Rover ownership ! 🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks Matt, great, entertaining review as always 👍
Haha! Glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely love my '15 RRS Dynamic in Corris Grey and blackout package. Did an AP-Tune and SC pulley upgrade then finished it off with a QuickSilver exhaust. Audio heaven! Thx for the video!!
Very nice!
Nice work Matt. This is the Sport I had back in New Zealand and it was fantastic to own and very comfty for travelling around New Zealand.
I bet! Perfect for their terrain
Thanks for watching
Only thing that spoils this car is the average kind of person that drives one! Plus the hate you would get of other drivers.
Most realistic car reviews on the internet
I have the supercharged V8, that’s what you really want😍
Very timely. I'm looking to sell my Audi Q7 4M 2015 and was looking at a Range Rover Sport, but around the 2017 mark, which I believe is the year where they introduced the InControl Infotainment system which is considerably better than the one in this video. I know this sounds stupid and you shouldn't buy a car for it's "screen", but quite honestly, the wife can work CarPlay without my help, and that is priceless! Great video.
Haha very good point. CarPlay is great. I've never had a car new enough to have it
I have a 2017 HSE Dynamic and incontrol is a big upgrade from the previous gen. had to get a software upgrade to get CarPlay though so look out for that. Done 48k miles from new and it’s been good as gold! Only problem is replacing it - nothing quite compares.
Lovely colour combination.
I think so too!
I think dark grey is the best car color. Every single car can look great in that colour.
I could listen to you all day. I love the detail.
Cheers!
Awesome review and cracking advice when buying second hand. 💪👌
Glad it was helpful!
Matt another great and informative review - perfect weather and location for the Range Rover in its natural habitat rather than the crowded streets of London.
Haha thats right!
You should do a City Rover...I’m sure you’d love it, they’re very...erm...quirky 😂😶
Hahaha yes that might be funny actually
I can imagine you ripping it one Matt!
@@adamlaird-smith609 my 75 went to the scrap heap, HG failure. Always thought of it as a poor man's jag. Very comfortable driving!
Thanks for being honest, Having the car you need to have a separate account,
Use as the back-up once you encounter any breakdown.
“Every car has their issues.. “ except the infamous 1994 celica 😆
Just to add the infamous 1994 base model Toyota Celica which is owned by Scotty Kilmer. I'd it was owned by anyone else it would be less reliable. Well it seems like that 😂
@@terrificspokesman7416 i clearly spend tooo much time on RUclips - i knew immediatly that it was Scotty you were referencing!!
Louis James that 94' Celica is the only working 94' Celica in the US.
🐎
You say service the gearbox - but you can't. The ZF box has no adjustment available. It self compensates for clutch wear. All that can be done is fluid change, filter change which is a part of the pan. Heat is the killer of automatic transmissions, so perhaps an after market temperature gauge for the trans would be a wiser choice than an e-bay grill kit!
Hi Matt. I think this is one of the best looking vehicles out there! But I ain’t playing at Juventus yet, so I should probably pass this one 😂
Great review as always! Cheers
£100 /month to savings account is very sensible - you can ramp it up to cover all known costs, service, tax, tyres & insurance - it makes motoring less stressful.
Thats quite right
Hey Matt, are you going to review those newer MGs? I heard the highest trim level HS is very luxurious and pretty good to drive for its price
Oh well, just succumbed. While I wait for the Defender 90 I ordered to be built by the next Apocalypse, I saw a very nice 2016 Dynamic HSE SDV6 with red leather and could not resist. Gorgeous beastie and a joy to drive.
Well done
Im planning to buy a 2017 Sport HSE but quite afraid of going forward with the purchase due to so many bad reviews. Dont really feel like buying one of these and then spending most of the time trying to fix it. This would be my entry into the world of Land Rover as Ive always wanted one. What is your view is it worth the risk?
buy one. you will love it
Got myself a 2021 L494 6turbo......still in love
You give brilliant advice.
I just put a deposit on a HSE Dynamic today. It’s a 2017 with 30k miles from a Land Rover dealer. Got it for the wife and added extended warranty at a discounted rate for £475. It will be the family car so I hope it last
If you keep up the LR servicing and warranties you’ll be fine
Love the SVR!
Your views are the reality here in Essex. Vulgar is the perfect description. Anyway, great car. Perfect for family life, road trips, skiing holidays and much more. Reliability is a downside but every new car has issues. I still prefer an X5, only because I’ve been around them for years.
Has to have air suspension for me.
Love your reviews and the plain speaking. If only all reviews were so honest.
Thanks!
