Don't worry guys - if you look closely you'll see the water was poured into a rubber tray insert which we removed later, cleaned out and replaced with no spillage or damage to the car at all. Also you will notice the water was sparkling which is Range Rover's favourite.

It looks stunning in that spec / colour. Love the new shape, small changes have made such a great impact. Love the SVR but for me it’s too precious to be used as a utility 4x4. This is the one!

Just bought a 2018 Range Rover sport and I stare at it out the window every morning! Beautiful car I love it so much, drives like a dream!
U still have it and did the car gave any problems?
9 months of ownership, 12,000 miles later. No problems except a sensor fault, cost £25 to reset.
I’m due to get my 2018 RR sport this week. Only done 13,500 miles. Should I be concerned about the low mileage?
Also, is the 2020 inline 6 engine much smoother and better than 2018 engine, or not much in it?

WTF JUST HAPPENED AT 8:02 ?!?
The vents on the bonnet are functional! The car will suck air through them if the primary intakes (on the front grille) are underwater during wading - that is how the car achieves the ~900mm wading depth. On the underside the bonnet you’ll see 2 holes directly beneath those vents which marry up to the air intake system when the bonnet is closed. It is essentially an integrated snorkel.
It's hilarious to see how his mood change while showing 5 annoying things to presenting 5 cool things about the car .😝

Love these reviews. As a RR owner, great to confirm how I wasted my money on one. Also, be good to see how that water held up after the seats went down. haha.
I own this exact car and I’m not so sure he’s done his homework. Switch it into dynamic mode and then hit the racing helmet icon... from here you will see on the upper screen that the car is still mostly in comfort mode. Manually select dynamic steering, transmission, engine & suspension and you will instantly feel the difference. The steering becomes far more responsive and throttle response comes into its own. From his description of how the car handles I’m fairly certain it was all still in comfort mode as I experienced exactly the same. I could be wrong as this guy gets to test a lot more cars than myself and I’m sure he knows the competition models quite well. Needless to say I am probably quite biased as It’s my baby but I certainly have no issues booting it through corners and have never had any understeer issues at all. I never knew I could wave at the sun roof to open it though! Mine is currently in the body shop thanks to a jealous, key-toting passer by so I’m looking forward to waving at my car like a bell end when I get it back! 😂

Why so much hate in comments. Own RRS 5.0S 2016 Autobiography, such a beast. Bought it right after I sold TLC200 4.5td. Totally worth it. People who complain about reliability have never done anything with a car themself, that's for sure. Had to repair my TLC like 20 times, believe me, every car has it's own weak points, it depends how you use your car and how much you love it. For me car is like a person I love, so I care about it. Sometimes too much.
I'm a big Range Rover fan. But are you sure buying the 5.0S was a good idea?

@@Ride-Drive I didn't mean reliability. I meant fuel economy. I know it's not very relevant. But the 5.0 supercharged is ridiculously thirsty. But it sounds great.
@@RR-us2kp fuel economy is good, I had 15/100km of diesel in TLC200. Here 10-25/100km of 95oct (depends on what I want to see in my back mirror, lol). It's 510hp and for that power it's pretty good. On Cayenne S diesel I have 12-21/100km of diesel, it has 497hp and 1020nM, so I would say there nothing bad if you drive in eco

I have the 2017 Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic 4.4 SDV8. Nothing else I have ever driven can touch it. I get over 1,000k's per tank with a combo of city and rural driving. I haven't found any fault with mine. I have driven the diesel SDV6. It's not a patch on the SDV8. It has to work harder so I couldn't say it gave better mileage in real life driving. The power is effortless in the V8. Put your foot down and you are on the wrong side of the road for a minimum amount of time.(Overtaking). Mine corners extremely well. We have tight winding roads on the Coromandel in New Zealand. It handles them easily. The other tiny thing that I really like is that the Range Rover looks the part. Nothing else looks anything like it whereas Audi and Volkswagen look similar. I found your review slightly niggley.

I just switched from a 2017 X3 to a 2020 V8 RR sport and there are so many things I miss from the BMW but the sport definitely looks better. I was about to get the new X3M competition which is a whole one second faster 0-60, but the looks of the RR swayed me. But it really makes you appreciate how good the iDrive system really is. RR infotainment/nav system feels slow and ancient in comparison.
I was about to switch my bmw x6 for a RR but now I don’t think I will 😅

Why are you comparing this and referring to the Q8 and X6 when highlighting aspects of this car? The Range Rover Sport is not even in the same car segment as these two impractical style-over-substances "suv coupe's".

Great review I have the 15 MY dynamic which is very similar without all the screens and half the price. Very nice drive and not too flash very practical and with a light foot you get 50 mpg

Masterpiece, the thing is some people don’t understand that an suv is a sports UTILITY VEHICLE an Audi or bmw would get destroyed off-road, the suspension is better over bigger bumps as that is what it is designed to do, the steering is designed to have a large lock on the steering wheel so it doesn’t rip your fingers off when you go in a mud rut
It amazes me that some people still don’t understand the difference between an SUV and a genuine independent suspension off-roader.
WynMills1 the point is though no one takes them off road. Not even the big Vogue is used for that, there is still a risk of something happening and expensive repairs so I would get a defender or something like that so you don’t have to worry. Not a 100k car
Realist 1801 ours is about that on rural roads but it goes up to 37 on the motorway which is pretty good for a v8

Chatta290 I have driven both the rr svr 2016 and the BMW X5 m thing with the 4.4
And have to say it was quicker in a straight line and a tad better in the bends but the rr sound outweighs that not to even mention how much less bumpy the suspension is
The 230V AC socket in the back is max 180W so you wouldn't want to plug in a 3000W vacuum cleaner there.

I'm surprised the position of the start button wasn't mentioned, I find in the RRS it's an ergonomic nightmare forcing you to stretch towards it in its awkward position up on the dash away from everything. That said, it's one of my favorite vehicles on the market, I'd so have one if I could afford it.

Am I the only one who actually hates when manufacturers just whack a big screen on the dash/centre console, I would much rather have a car with some decent quality buttons so I can get the mechanical satisfaction
I like a big screen, but some things are still better done by buttons so that you can do it without taking your eye off the road.
Jack McCourt I like a screen obviously for like navigation, music names, the time, temperature, but nothing other than displaying information, if you can go through settings and stuff it just fucks me off
The land Rover discovery has the "normal" climate settings and not in a screen
i don't like operating touchscreen/touchpad with the left hand .. unless you are left handed . I think if i was to drive the european car this would work fine.

I know it says Sport, but a) it’s not a coupé style SUV, just a more aesthetic looking Range Rover and b) Jump in an SVR, and you’ll find it can go round a track faster than a good hot hatch like a Mini JCW

Glad I'm not the only one who finds Landrover seats a tad firm. My friends look at me like I'm crazy when I say the seats in my aunt's CH-R are more comfortable than the ones in my uncle's RR Sport.

I've been in the pre facelift sdv6 it's a really impressive car it handles amazing for what it is also it gives the sort of sporty feeling that the previous generation failed to deliver still I woudnt consider changing my old 4.6 HSE for that the old one is much more comfortable also it has the pure luxury wofty ride unlike this one which tries to be sporty and the old 4.6 feels like a proper range rover meanwhile The new RRs has more of a modern crossover/suv feel to it which many people might prefer but being in range rovers for years and years I prefer the old range rover feeling I haven't been in the new big range rover though so I don't know how would that compair
