- This is the Range Rover Sport P400e, and yes, that e means that the Range Rover Sport has gone hybrid. It features a 2 litre petrol engine up front and a 13kWh battery in the back to give over 400HP. The real question though is has adding the extra weight and turning the Range Rover into a hybrid effected the way that it drives. In this video Matt reviews the new Range Rover Sport P400e.

Been driving P400e for 10 months now and love it. Reality in cold weather though is 16-18 on a full charge but circa 38-44 mpg on a 100+ mile journey! Happy with that on a 2.5 ton luxury car 👍

@@mertcanhasgul7549 sorry for delay in my reply - power cuts etc 🙄. If constantly doing short journeys on the battery it does not charge to the 31 miles, usually only about 22-25 miles. Best to let it fully discharge before charging again. If you charge it after doing a good few miles on Petrol it can charge to 31 miles. Cold weather just kills the battery distance! Batteries don’t like the cold and obviously using car heater, heated seats etc discharges it more quickly. It may defeat the purpose, but when very cold weather I press the battery save button and run on petrol until engine warm - car warms more quickly and so when switch to ev less drain on battery. It is really a matter of trial and error! You will rarely achieve the high miles that LR claim but hopefully you will still love the car 👍
Hi Bill. Can you tell me, am I correct in saying that if I was to set off on a 180mile round trip journey fully charged that when the battery runs out after say 25 miles that you are now completely running on petrol and also that the power of the jeep goes from 405hp to 295hp, so essentially most of the journey you only have 295hp

The '26 mile range Vs average 23 mile commute' sounds great in an advert but where people are being duped is once you factor in all the other variables such as out side temp, you may find you're only getting 15 mile range in the winter and all of a sudden your daily commute is now using fuel on a car with poor real world MPG figures.
I'm considering buying one of these BTW but I suggest for anyone else they watch several unbiased reviews and make sure it matches their needs and suitability.

Yes you can.
Not if you want to use the electric capabilities. You have to plug it in to do that.

The PHEV all get the panoramic roof yes. Thats i.e the P400 and model this video is about. Do your research.

BTW ‘the vogue’ is called Range Rover, or fatty for short. This was the Sport.
Useless review, no mention of the engine power, no mention of fuel economy, no mention of anything useful, other than its refined and comfortable. Yeah great, I'll buy one on that assessment. Not.
