It's a Land Rover first and a Range Rover second
The fact that this still looks more classy and expensive than the new x7 or gls says alot about these. Yes ive heard they are unreliable but by far the most classiest suv by far
That's the way it's always been, Range Rovers are some of the best looking SUVs.

It's common with British cars, they always look lovely but they tend to be unreliable and not as practical as German cars. They could learn from each other.

Very impressed with the factual accuracy of this review. As a L405 nerd I cringe at some reviews misstating facts but here it’s spot on. Respect. Great review. Just be aware the [excellent] plug in hybrid power train has a slightly reduced boot capacity.

Bottles of champagne, bugger that, I think more practical, keep ham and fish, cheese and other meats or dairy cool after purchase while travelling. I love the fridge inclusion.
A proper bottle of champagne will not fit. Maybe one from a mini bar...
The rear seat super slow motorised cup holder is really weird. How long will that last? Also being charged £200 for apple car play after you've paid £120,000 is comical. Can you imagine the salesman having to say in the dealership "no sorry that is extra". I'm afraid I would have to laugh at the absurdity and leave.
I feel like it's the sort of thing they'll throw in for free anyway.
Latest prices are out, Apple CarPlay is now FREE. But prices went up £2,000 with inflation! 😢 gotta laugh
Oscar Lee exactly. Every golf has it for free yet the 7 series doesn’t... it’s an issue with these cars that cost more. For example the A4 has three son climate control but not the A8 or A6. Its this pick and choose crap to sell their cars especially those with more competition.

Brilliant when you live in your Scottish castle where there is not much traffic around on the country roads or on your big domain, wafting at a nice speed whilst enjoying the spectacular landscape.
However, good news for people living in their London penthouse as well; travelling to the other side of town to the office at the average speed of a quick tortoise. Do not despair; there are a lot of toys and things to play with during the long tedious journey. Well, you will turn heads as a bonus of course. Nice; all is good.

It is a great car -I have owned three now. Yes the maintenance and reliability can be an issue, but its getting better. At there new price point the Bentley Bentayga has to be considered as an alternative.

no car is perfect aside from slightly disapointing screen & no 7 seats, it offers everything really well
It is eye watering to see the money you can lose in three years of owner ship about £1500 a month is normal and that's the time to buy one IMO

Good to see they have retained some physical controls. Having touchscreen buttons for everything makes no sense to me. The wood in this particular example is truly hideous.

I use mine to pull my daughter's horsebox. Go to any horsey event and you'll see plenty of them.
My dad got a 2002 range rover autobiograthy with 22" alloys on gos through mud and bogs and he crossed a river in it probily did that last to rinse it off lol

Instead of these dreadfully slow electric motors in the seats why don't they just use a spring loaded system à la Honda Magic Seats - FAST and RELIABLE. They could even make it a damped spring loaded system, so the movement is smooth and posh.
Although this looks to have more comfortable front seats, nicer steering wheel and the split tailgate, to me it looks like the Range Rover Sport is the better vehicle.

5 decades on and still breaking down! Why do they cost so much but are made from the cheapest components available. Makes no sense to me.
Range Rover P400e, the plug-in hybrid model, has caused owners to park under JLR China HQ. Just FYI.
I ve had 8 r rovers over the last 33 years all from new all were nightmares break downs all. I m sorry to say. I tried the Toyota land cruiser v8 diesel. not had one problem in 7 years of ownership. why why why.!

It can’t.
Barely handles the average school run without breaking down.
And being an Australian makes you an expert ….. How ?
It is kind of a go-anywhere vehicle. They are impressive off-road, even vs a G Wagon or Wrangler, WHEN you take into account on-road manners too. Worth a test drive.

your surname is quite fitting
They tend to be very dependable but can bite you at service time for failing parts. Most RR owners take a warranty after manufacturers warranty expires. For peace of mind... I don’t think you’d notice a huge difference vs luxury German marques.

The last-long-time vehicle is a Land Cruiser, it’s epic. Not sure if on stock tyres a Land Cruiser would go FURTHER than an L405 RR... they’re pretty handy. A test would be great viewing, though.

What reliability issues? My RR has 100,000 on the clock and nothing to report apart from consumables and routine services. What's your own experience?

A lot has changed since Tata acquired Land Rover
I think in about 20 years when those cars are classics that the first generation of the new range rover will be most popular because I just can't see those dual screen aging well at all! Give it 5 years and they'll be as laggy as a windows XP computer trying to run anything apart from pinball!
Possibly the most comfortable car to sit in - whilst you wait for the RAC to come...

I will buy it second hand when it's worth 15 grand.
It doesn't sound like its had much of an upgrade technology wise, not like the other models, certainly nothing of the sort was mentioned in this review.
MaZEEZaM , it was upgraded in 2017 and again in 2018🤔.
I think the previouse boxy shape 02 -2012 look better ive got a 02 4.4l supercharged v8 autobiograthy id rather have that looks and sound better than new range river that have to comply with new emission laws and the new grill on that looks stupid

Tata need to improve quality and reliability and speed of that informataiment , range Rover is synonymous to poor reliability in these coming challenging times coming on the international market , it’s good but not good enough
The colour is certainly NOT to my taste, I much prefer in Pure Black or a combination of very dark grey and black. Black and white can look pretty nice too.
Trouses stand out more than the car or the script read!

I’d love a Range Rover, too. On QEII terms. Full-spec purchase, running costs, maintenance and breakdowns paid for by the British taxpayer. What-d-ya say taxpayers? …Just one?

Landrover cars still have a lot of quality issues - a lot of malfunctions:mechenical and electronics etc.
I mean, this is about new cars, not about used cars
They really need to improve the quality and completeness
Looks like current owner (Indian TATA) is one of the reasons of it
They don't know how to do quality control and how to improve
Need to know that Rolls Royce cars quality got good enough after getting bought by BMW.
Before that, the quality was not good enough for high-end luxury cars
Land Rover needs to be bought by German car makers for right quality
However, the design is still very nice
Don’t buy Range Rover I have one still in repair for 8 weeks suspensions module control and on if you really have money to waste I can’t stop you and buy Range Rover
