At least with Warhammer, your minis are typically worth something when you're done with them. I'm currently painting 30 year old Dwarfs and if I didn't want them anymore, I could find them a nice home quick for a stack of cash. Printing might be cheaper in materials (only if you print literally thousands of dollars of stuff), but I just want to tell the folks that GW minis do hold their value; even upon being "squatted" whereas 3d prints are so numerous and competing that every one is essentially valueless unless you take commissions for people. Basically, if I'm tired of my Tyrranids, there is a demand and going rate and lots of people trying to buy them, so even though they were a few hundred to buy, I'll probably be able to get a few hundred out of them; at least a portion of it.
Something to consider; sort of like a Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus situation. Ones a lot cheaper, but is worth nothing when you are done using it, whereas one is a lot pricier, but a lot of people like it so you can get 6 - 7K for it when it's time to trade it in compared to the $500 for the ford with the same years and miles.

I was considering buying the Lizardmen Spearhead box. I like the Lizardmen, might be a good way to get into Spearhead. 145 bucks for FOURTEEN MODELS?! I can buy an army of Lizardfolk proxies for way less. I got 34 Lizardmen from One Page Rules for 99 bucks. And the only thing I missed out on was the Oldblood on Carnosaur. But I could have easily spent another 36 and gotten him too. 135 bucks and I could have gotten an Oldblood on Carnosaur, 3 kroxigor, 10 Saurus Warriors and 20 skinks. Or I could drop 262, to get the same army from ScamsWorkshop.
Unless GW does some serious turn around on prices, pretty much the only thing that I'll even consider buying from them is paint. And even then, maybe. I still won't touch their spray primer. Sorry, not gonna drop 33 bucks on a can of gold primer.

Like what's the difference between a dominion vs a battle sister squad and how do I know if I've built it correctly for that squad and not made an illegal set

GW knows most of the KT sales are for the main 40k game outside of a few. I think the prices for things like scouts and mandrakes who are normally 5 model units makes sense to have at $80. You usually need more than one unit for an army, so why not sell it in doubles for a discount. For 40k players these are just discount boxes for multiple units, saving money. I imgaine this wont be the last time they do practice and hopefully they release some stuff i actually want for my armies

Wonder if GW will redo 40k's Combat Patrol based on feadback on how well Spearhead is being received.

GW prices went from 'expensive, but I like the models' to 'I like the models, but I'm not crazy'... Night Lords box price is 187pln in my local friendly game store, with a huge discount, while few years ago 175pln was the asking GW price for some of the most expensive 10 unit boxes! With same discount it would be around 130pln! You can't tell me it's not outregous to increase price by nearly 44% over around 5 years :|

Just a correction not all men go to scions they are men and women. And not all women who are orphans go to the sisters. Orphans of imperial commanders and soldiers are often sent to the schola progenia from there they are divided based on skills and needs some have there minds altered to be used for political reasons (outgunned is a perfect example of that). Commissars and other political positions are filled with people who graduate from these schools. The general programming given to the children depends on the sectors needs as they are kinda loose with general education until the child is assigned to a particular specialization. Depending of the order sisters get people from many walks of life and are sent to a completely different school to be indoctrinated and trained to join (notable example is that some orders take esher gangers to there orders.) Most organizations within the imperium are made of both men and women there are very few exceptions.

He has legionaries and hearthkyn but I used compedium tyranids almost exclusivly until just a few months ago I finished my Hunter clade adeptus mechanics. I also had a box of custodes i used once. See the issue? None of my teams are in the game anymore. (EDIT: I do see that hunter clade will be getting free rules now. Stil though I played nids mainly lol) I do have just loose space marines I could probably use for angels of death but i didnt see myself playing them anytime soon in kill team. Now its the only option ill have if I want to continue into this new editon until/unless they atart doing bespoke teams😮

i know little to nothing about killteam, but I imagine their pricing should be based on whether or not you can use the models in 40k. For example, the vespid are not really in 40k, therefore they should be cheaper, this would sort of explain the scouts dilemma, but idfk

With the Killteam boxes, you’re not getting everything you need, you have to put it all together, etc. It’s why I’ll just continue to play it online and or with the one team I have physically.
