    I bought a HM Aeron chair and had to return it. At the end of the day, my back was in so much pain, I couldn't use it. Now I have no idea what to try. I want to give the Leap or Amia a shot but I don't want to keep buying and returning chairs until I find the right one.

  • @JesseArt
    @JesseArt 3 года назад +2

    What about for tall and heavier individuals? I'm 6'3" and around 275lbs currently, and I need a chair that offers really solid lower lumbar support for an 8-10 workday. I would also like a headrest, but not one that forces your head forward automatically in a reclined position. I was looking at the Office Master Truly chair with headrest initially because it seems like a good deal compared to the far more expensive options by SteelCase and Herman Miller, but it's hard to commit to the purchase without having an opportunity to sit in these chairs first. As a tall person, every office chair I've ever had has been woefully inadequate either regarding comfort or build quality.

    I have issues with one of my legs so I’m unable to bend more than 45 degrees so it always hangs in away that makes most chairs very painful to sit in for over 20-30 minutes. Any recommendations? Please help. Thank you 😊

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  4 года назад

      That can be tough to solve with a traditional office chair. You may need to look at some of the options that include leg rests. Some of those options will offer different angles to rest your legs. We haven't taken a deep dive into that type of product, so unfortunately I wouldn't have any good suggestions for a specific brand or product -GK

    I can attest to the lower back support of the Leap. I've suffered from lower back pain for a while and since using the Leap for work my back pain is gone.
    Once in a while, when I start feeling tension in my lower back I just lean backwards and the back of the chair flexes and pushes out in the perfect way to stretch out my back.
    Best purchase in a while! 😌 (Also you can get them at half price refurbed from BTOD or Crandall)

    Hey, I want to buy the ergohuman but you guys on your recent tier list put it in the C tier... But that was the mesh version, is the leather any better? I dont want to spend a grand on something thats a C tier. Is it durable? Will it last me years and years if hypothetically there was no warranty? Thank you if you get the time to respond!

    • @mcciftci
      @mcciftci Год назад

      tier lists are helpful but in the end they are based on personal preferences of comfort. it's very important that you try the chairs and see what is good for you specifically. e.g. some people are fanatics of aeron's comfort but one of the guys was putting it into lowest tier because it was uncomfortable for him.
      with that being said, the leather will have its pros and cons, it will be much less breathable just to name one. i'd suggest you to find a dealer in your area and try them out. best of luck

  • @DementedDistraction
    @DementedDistraction 3 года назад

    I was considering that Ergohuman LE9ERG, but then discovered that the 'leather' is actually bonded leather, which is a definite deal breaker.
    You would think that for the price you would be getting genuine leather, not something that will dry out, crack apart and disintegrate after a few years.

      This is Robert the "tall guy" in the video. Personally I love the Humanscale Freedom. I'm not an ergonomics expert, but I can speak from my own experience. I'm the digital media guy here so I spend a lot of time editing at my desk. I love that I can recline in my freedom and have the headrest support my neck while keeping my head in position to see my monitors. We are spoiled with a lot of options to sit in here, so I have also spent a lot of time in the Remastered Herman Miller Aeron. The adjustable height and tension lumbar is great if you want to choose where you get some extra support. Thanks for subscribing! -RG
