- My first official 100% all stock run with my UL-19. I didn't run my best batteries in this run and I had them placed a little on the conservative side just trying it out. The GPS recorded the boat at 63.5 mph. Maybe next run I will have my upgraded flex and then I might put one of my good ABC props on it. Thanks for watching!

Very awesome run !! Love that hull !! Wish proboat or aquacraft or some other company would make a F1 tunnel hull boat again !!! Thinking about buying a aeromarine predator F1 tunnel and doing a brushless outboard on it . Keep up the cool rc boat vids ,love them!! Love the channel man! Quick question: Have a Sonic Wake and M41 but looking at something that can get a little quicker and offer a different driving experience. The 3 contenders are the geico 36 twin, UL-19 and perhaps a TFL cat. The lake I run is fairly smaller than this so water gets pretty choppy with a few passes and it looks like this guy likes glass water. Which one would u lean towards?
The TFL cat will handle chop better because it's larger. The UL-19 does better on smooth water.
I want to get a RC boat, but I'm not waiting until the end of August to get a nice one like this... LOL Everything is BACK ORDERED!

It's the stock Dynamite 3831 motor. You can buy the motor and boat at Horizon Hobbies.

Why do they have water entering the motor then hot motor water entering the esc?i changed that on my ul-19 and voracity but not on zelos yet.i fork it after transom and let them both get fresh water then 2 outlets ports.i have put Dynamite 1650 outa voracity into ul-19 and it fits fine just gotta relocate esc to the center and forward on hull . unfortunately this is my 2nd ul-19.my other hit an rc sail boat marker and shot 6 feet straight up in air.with the crack sound i heard i knew she was hurt bad . unfortunately the replacement hull was ordered and backordered still too this day.so i got another! Love the location u are at sir.......
Normally the ESC will go into thermal shutdown to keep from being damaged from overheating and the motors will not they just burn up. I like to have my motor cooled first on my boats if possible.
Usually the water is moving quickly thru both. I run my boat on taneycomo in Missouri and the water is freezing cold

I had real cooling problems.
Probably pick up a dual line rudder.
Looks like 125° motor and 138° on the esc from what I can make out on the temp gun readings at the end of the video.

Out of curiosity, do you know what your max speed is on 5s? Out of the box I was getting 53.3mph. I put on a balanced and sharpened race prop and got 57mph. My first prop angle adjustment got me up to 58.8mph. But after that run I realized I adjusted the prop angle in the wrong direction. Ran out of time/batteries to fix that to see if I could get more out of it

I try to keep mine under 140° and don't have any issues.
MrMad2424 fair enough , what brand prop do you use and I use 2 x 5000mAh 3S 50C batteries , do you use higher batteries or ?
The SMC batteries I use are 90c, the Revolectrix are 70c, and my Gens Ace are 45c. I like to run batteries that have 5000mah- 6000mah capacity. How long would you recommend running a beginner boat before moving on to a boat like this
this boat is not for a beginner. It takes alot of knowledge to set a hydroplane up properly.

Great video! I am going to get my first boat this summer. Ive watched a lot of your videos. What do you recommend for a first boat? Was originally set on the Traxxas Spartan but the more I look the more I think there may be better options.
Thanks! I would recommend the Veles 29 as a first boat. It has an awesome motor and the fiberglass hull is very thick. Just know that the manufacturer had flex cable issues and I suggest replacing that first thing with an upgraded cable form OSE. www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-veles-cable . Run the boat on 4s or 5s out of the box with no issues at all with speeds from 45-55mph and on 6s (55-60mph) but it can overheat electronics on 6s if you run through the whole packs wide open with the stock prop. The boat will absolutely fly with the right prop on 6s (80mph for me) if you really have a good tune.. The Traxxas boats are plastic and wouldn't be my first choice. The UL-19 and or the Zelos 36 would be a good second boat after you get some experience.

The UL-19 does like smoother water but you can tune to run on any water just the speeds will be obviously slower. Catamaran and Mono's (V hulls) will handle slight chop better.

It's not too bad with a different turn fun and servo
I can’t get a spectrum raidio and receiver to work with my boat as soon as I power on the boat the prop screams and I have to unplug it really fast any tips to program it so it don’t do that thanks

I just ran my UL-19 on 6s and I over heated the motor after 2 laps. I have the upgraded dual pickup rudder, stock ESC and prop. These 2000kv motors are not made for 6s. 4s or 5s only. I am going to get a 3660 1770kv motor that will handle 6s, I don't want to fry the stock motor
Sorry to hear that. The boat is 6s capable only for a few passes then let it cool down. 5s is the sweetspot.

Yes, it's an awesome 4 0r 5s boat on stock electros/prop. On 6s It gets hot pretty quickly

Hi. An ABC 1815-17-45 prop from dasboata does well on that boat on 4s. Low to mid 50's with it.
Is it possible to set it up for 6s?
with a Octura race prepped an x442 prop on 6s will get mid to high 50"s
What is needed to achieve 60+mph?
@@Crawlerworkz2023 abc 1716-17-45 prop with stock motor can do 70mph plus but only for a pass or two because electronics will overheat. you need to change electronics to get 60+ for the enitre packs. something like a 4074 1900kv and 180 esc with abc 1715-17-45 prop would be an efficient 65mph + setup.

Yes this boat needs to take off fast or it will submarine. It also needs to be going at least 25-30mph for the water cooling to work

Temperatures are always very hot in this ul19 after 2/3mins runs...no matter what i do
Sounds like your running it too wet for 6s or your rudder pickup isn't cooling properly. It will get hot if not tuned properly if you run laps with a high rake prop on 6s. You might want to try 5s.

Do you think this is better than the Veles 29?
They are both good boats but I believe the Veles is more durable. I've heard of people splitting the hulls in crashes in the UL-19 but I've never heard of a Veles splitting in a flip.

Hi these are out of my price range but I just ordered a WL913 & from the vids I saw they go pretty fast too👍 I built a fiberglass Scarab S type back in the 80s with k-planes & airtronics gear & a built Picco 80 that turned 23,500rpm on Nitro. Had a lot of money & labor in that boat just don't want to go that route this time.

The boat is 30 inches long which makes it a 1/10 scale boat. So 63.5mph x 10= 630.5mph
No comparison! - the world speed record is about 320mph in full size boat. Land speed record about 760mph using jet engines x 2. Full size hydroplane =160mph laps (not straight)

No waterproof tape needed for this boat it has a great seal on the canopy. I know the props can be dangerous.

What’s your take on this boat?
It's a great 4s and 5s boat on stock electronics. It takes a whole different setup than monos and Catamaran boats take though.

Nitro is great. just a pain when they flame out in the middle of the lake. If you can get a good deal on it i'd snatch it up.

Yes, it's tough to find glass water lakes. Hydros do work best on smooth water also.

That boat is one of the tougher ones to setup, but it's a good boat on 4s and 5s with stock prop but on 6s it needs a x442 prop or it can overheat.
