I'm a female. I've tried all three female EQ's and holy shit, it sounded really amazing with EQ 3. It's a noticeable difference. It was able to catch the nuance of my voice. I guess it depends on your voice but the EQ 3 sounds warmer and more detailed. Thank you effin' so much!

Hey man, I just commented on one of your older videos with some rather harsh feedback about your approach, but I just wanted to say this video shows amazing progression compared to that older one in how you present your information. You didn't spend any time ragging on other RUclipsrs/audio engineers' methods in this video, you got straight to the point, gave us the super awesome tips, and promoted yourself. Really appreciate this, and I think this is a significantly more positive and awesome video. Keep it up!

Wow genuinely learning a lot from you. This made me sub.
Quick questions. When you did the normalise to -3dB industry standard to prevent clipping. Why did you use normalise instead of a limiter and what would the difference be?
Second question is I have a mono mic and I noticed you made this clip into stereo at the end. Why or why wouldn’t I do this? I haven’t been doing it but should I?
If it helps all vocal work I am doing is overdubbing rap vocals onto instrumentals.
Thanks so much for your videos.

I see that you eq and compress in mono then make it a stereo track at the end, so one question i wanted to ask is if im trying to mix and get the right sound with my 2 nearfield monitors, should I make into stereo track right after I record (in mono) and then eq, compress, normalize etc.? Or no?

VoiceOverMaster Well I guess that would depend on content. My general feeling was thinking around $25 based on the 15 minutes of content of this video, this is a purely subjective and unprofessional assessment. I have no real world experience with pricing this type of content. I do know that it takes a bit of work to produce the quality you present. I am definitely interested. I am building up some Q’s and thinking about booking some one on one. I just need to organize my thoughts and determine to what end I will use the information. I do create training content for live presentations. Thinking about video such as this content. I have spent much of the last 10 years in the road, and would prefer to stay home as I get older : )

Great vid bro. Question: what’s your process when EQing an entire song? Example, take one verse. Would you EQ the whole thing based on the preview that audacity gives you? Or would you individually EQ line by line; obviously that takes a lot longer but for me parts of the verse sound different and maybe a different EQ would sound better. Just wondering? Thanks bro, v happy I found your channel

I have installed your free EQ female plug in but it’s not working in my Mac. Unable to add it to my plugins on Audacity.

Hello Josh, two points I'd like to address. You speak about the "file" you've created here and keep saying "the wav" are we to assume that you've recorded a "wav file" as opposed to an mp3? Just looking for clarification? And second, I was always taught that when you're recording your voice for a voice-over, narration, e-book etc... that you are to use or set your recording in 44100 instead of 48000? And so I guess my question here is? Should we record in 44100 or 48000 and why? Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom b/c it doesn't only help out the little guy, but seasoned old-timers like myself. Cheers.

Could you make a video on how to import your SQs onto audacity or is that a part of your paid lessons? I just starting on Audacity two days ago so I'm a fresh fledgling.

Hi, I think it is clear from his description above but let me see if I can help with some more details. Pick a track in your Audacity, or record a short one. With no track open indeed you won't have access to the Effect > Filter curve you need to reach. So above choose dropdown menu Effect > Filter curve: Manage button: Import. Then go find the fle(s) you downloaded from Mr Master ;-) Then still in Manage button choose Save Preset, rename it and you're all set!

You are doing a great job but there is one thing I have to tell you -
    double mono is not stereo!
2 channel recording with exactly the same signal is mono even if you spread the signal to the complete left and right.
A stereo signal is when there are different signals from the same event at the same time at the left & right channel.
    Greetings.

Ok this may be a very basic question but it has me stummped. I have just started trying to do this on my own, I have voice over experience but not using my own recording facilities. I clicked the link to your male voice EQ and it opens a text file for what i am assuming is the curve equation for this EQ. How do I apply this to my Audacity? Is there somewhere I can copy and paste this into in order to create this filter curve? Help would be very much appreciated.

Useful video and learning. But it was a bit unfair to compare quality of sound with different levels
