      Yeah, because whenever someone hears you say that, they will say you're few steps to narcissism or selfish, That's why we live in a society where people would rather hear negative things than face positivity, because they "feel" that negativity is more realistic to them and positivity is "fake" and "plastic".
      This is common in majority of the Philippines. Rather than be optimistic and resilient enough when adversity happens and adress them, they'd rather avoid it until it snowballs enough to affect the surroundings. Take our government for example.

    1- Have Values and stick to them
    2- choose the few people whom you care about their opinion
    3- affirm yourself
    4- have a purpose
    5- act confident even of you are nervous

    2) only take feedback from the ones who care about you
    3) repeat affirmations at regular intervals
    4) physiology influence psychology so make good posture and workout and act confident even when u r nervous

      @@KENNETHTXMMA Because the label of what is "attractive" is detached from how you feel about yourself. And having sex and money and being hot aren't bad, but his point is that those things don't make anyone particularly fulfilled or happy in the long term. All backed by science: Human relationships make people happy, sex is just temporary pleasure. Being useful and contributing to ones community makes people happy, money is just temporary happiness and eventually your satisfaction will go away at every income level you achieve past $70k/year.

      First, it's about habit. Excellence is a habit, so get used to feeling confident. Secondly, if things happens to the confident version of yourself, so be it. Having things happened, good or bad, is better than having nothing happen to you, because anything at all will only serves you to grow as a person, so that ultimately someday you can grow into someone who is genuinely confident

      Well first, life isn’t about attraction and honestly life doesn’t have a definitive meaning-we as humans give it one. If you believe your meaning of life is attraction, then that’s you and you do you. Each person is different and have different meanings based on culture, religion, societal standards, etc. Sure telling the truth, sticking up for somebody, and being confident are attractive but most people don’t necessary do those things for the sole purpose of attraction-I guess attraction just comes with it if that makes any sense.

    • @jdubs2113
      @jdubs2113 4 года назад +1

      @@KENNETHTXMMA Idk what you mean by that or where you got that from. Again, telling the truth, sticking up for somebody, being confident (examples you said) are all attractive but people don't do those things with the intent to be attractive. Another example would be taking care of my health/physical features. Doing these things might make me more attractive but I don't do those things to solely become attractive--it's just a side effect. Showering, exercising, having a good looking body, etc can make me physically attractive but I don't boast or brag about doing these things because that is when it becomes unattractive.

    Something that helped me with my confidence is not hiding who I am, because when you hide who you are you’re basically saying you’re ashamed of the basic truths about yourself. That’s why I started telling people about my aspergers, and admitting when I don’t know what something is. And pretty much whenever I’m embarrassed about something I try to admit it so it doesn’t weigh me down.

    I think the hardest part is not caring about opinions. I am devoloping confidence out of a depression i had and a few things you said really helped me befor. People like to think about them self as important to random people. When i'm sitting in the train no one cares about my close, no one cares about the way i sit. They all just think about themself, or what they are about to do. Another thing that helped really much, that you missed in youre Video is this. It is important not to compare youreself to often to others and if you do, dont just see the things youre bad in. I allways was looking at people, thinking about what they can and how useless i am compared to them, but i never watched the other way around. I'm maybe bad at the things i'm doing, but so many people, don't do anything at all, using there free time to watch Tv, compared to them i'm working at developing something. Building my own abilities.

    I think a video on how to combat different 'styles' of negative self thought would be very useful. Like, if you have no problem telling yourself in the morning in your mind that you love yourself, but when you mess up you play a memory montage of every time you've ever messed up in your entire life, or have like a conversation with your employer in your mind about getting fired every morning, it's not as easy to correct, since it comes from an 'authoritative' source in your mind

      @@KENNETHTXMMA There is no meaning to life: you choose the meaning you give it. I can't prove you wrong on the subjective meaning you gave your life. People don't need to be attractive to have money or have sex. Those traits you've mentioned are attractive to you. I don't think I'd have sex with any physician who has money, is learning a language, and is delaying gratification.
      I've heard other people say the meaning of life is happiness, and I could reframe what you said by saying that learning a language, working out to keep in shape, being more confident, and anything else that puts me more in line with my values makes me happy

    • @mr_seady
      @mr_seady 4 года назад

      @@KENNETHTXMMA I didn't expect these thought provoking replies, thanks for that. I believe in what you're saying to an extent, I just don't believe we have the same definition of "attractive" or the same definition of "happiness," and both of these might be closer than we think. I just watched a really long video about Happiness by Will Schoder, and there are multiple theories on happiness. It seems you're thinking of the hedonistic definition, where happiness is pleasure, and a happy person is a person who has the most pleasure. To be happy, someone should then strive to have dopamine boosts like playing video games, having sex, etc., but these rarely bring long term happiness, and what you describe as being attractive might be what brings you long term happiness.
      Now, I wasn't even saying in my previous comment that I think the meaning of life is happiness, I just thought it was subjective, and that for some, it was happiness. For others, it could be making the world a better place, even if you live an unhappy life, or an unattractive one. For others, it could be a nihilistic meaning to life, where there's no meaning, and you can do whatever you want, because it won't matter anyway.
      Thanks for your replies, I'm glad you took the time to write this out, and I hope you have a good week!

    IMO:
    You gotta recognize your strengths, your achievements even if nobody else does. You need to be proud of your victories, even if they are small in the grand scheme of things.

    One thing that helped me was exposure therapy , and blending out the "noise" in public , meaning not being indifferent , but not caring and knowing that majority of people really are in their own "worlds" and not focused on you as much as your mind plays tricks on you. Also another thing is to approach people randomly for whatever reason, I was at the gym one day and the guy next to me in the locker room , I thought was an "ass" because of his "demeanor" , I then spoke to him and asked him if it would bother him if I took a selfie as it might include him, he laughed and said no go ahead , I then asked him if he would mind taking the pics and he asked if it was for keeping "Progress", I told him yeah it is , he then took several shots and we left on a "good vibe note" , Had I not done that, my thoughts about him wouldn´t of changed and I would´ve never known otherwise. The mind is a terrible place , if you let it, and by not letting it , you simply do the opposite even if it´s just to prove it wrong, if it does happen that it was right well then it´s not "i told you this would be the case" considering how could you have possibly known....
    With that said, do I lack confidence? What defines confidence, is their a scale of measurement for it? These are more the questions I ask myself...

    I have something to say about the "no-one's thinking about you" part.
    I'm the type of person who kinda picks up on everything in an interaction. I guess you could say I'm observant. I notice every mistake, action, pronunciation, facial expression etc and it slightly influences how I see that person. I don't do it on purpose, I don't make it obvious and I never mention it but it's something that I naturally do. So it's kinda hard for me to think nobody else picks up on stuff like that. That's 1 reason why I'm not confident in interactions; I become extremely self-conscious.
    Also, I ruminate over what I observed and my on actions, words and expressions long after the interaction. Not intentionally.
    I guess those are things I'm gonna need to learn to get over.

      i completely see you. i have that exact same problem, i think to myself that nobody picks up on that sort of stuff but i personally do and thats why i'm scared others will pick up on my mistakes. at the same time i really dont care about those mistakes. they calm me down in a way because obviously i'm not the only one who makes these "mistakes"
      we'll get there though haha :))

    Omg this video was so fkn fire. These are genuine and true tips from your own experience that you’ve cooked up just to share with us. Love it. The first one was actually a bit of a mind blower for me. Also, some feedback: mabye the video is a bit overedited with the zoom ins/outs all the time. Just my opinion.

    Another way to boost your confidence is to take risks in social situations, if you're shy to talk to someone, just go and talk to them, even if it feels really awkward. You'll feel way more confident if you do that often.

    It effects a little bit yes when you are around people who never learn something or go to the gym or do their needs in life .. but at the end what I discovered is that I do all everything and all my friends don’t do it at all , so that’s mean we are stronger than the society around us .
    Thank you
