Such a pro. I re-watched a few of your older reviews this past week, and its awesome how you have grown and continuously improved. You were already head and shoulders above everyone else doing similar content, and now you're just in another universe. Cheers and keep it coming!
I've had my series II for a year now and it's worked flawlessly. I clean it regularly and ALWAYS wash my hands before a gaming session, I feel this prolongs life and performance

I've been using the Elite 2 for years and the Dualsense Edge for a couple months now. I really like the fact that the Edge has a (quite decent) D-Pad in the primary position (something I also love from 8BitDo), and that the rear buttons can be directly remapped inside Steam. There's no other controller with that combination that I can find. But holy heck is it not a comfortable controller to hold. I could hold the Elite 2 all day without issue, but the Edge makes my hand cramp up something fierce. If Microsoft made an Elite 2 where I could swap around the D-Pad and the joystick, there is no chance I would choose the Edge over it. As it stands, I use the Edge for platformers and metroidvanias, and the Elite 2 for everything else.
That’s so funny, I just bought a Series X but I have the Edge controller and honestly think it’s the best controller I’ve ever used that thing is so amazing. Kinda can’t wait to try the Elite 2 though.
Having the same issue as I recently got a ps5 switching from being an Xbox player in the past and my thumbs cramp up when I use the left joystick to sprint
Elite series 2 best 🎮 ever! I’ve had the black one for a year exactly and the white core since release day of september 2022 so thats 6 months and 0 issues with both of them.
Love my thrustmaster e-swap. Sure, the rear buttons aren't in the best positions, but I've gotten used to them. It's got replace-able sticks and d-pad, on the fly remapping, 4ms input delay that can be overclocked to 2ms, low friction rings and it's cheaper than both of these first party offerings.
I have both and I feel the elite feels more premium and more comfortable in the hand. I also wish the edge had 4 paddles in the back and I also wish it was compatible with PC out the box not that you have to pay to make it work. However, I like both and use them both. Great video and learned something new about the input delay which now makes sense when playing CO D and I’m like I definitely press my button before he seen me and then I’m dead 😂 or maybe it is just my old man reaction 😂 again thanks for the great content as always.
The main reason I didn't get the edge is because it only has 2 back buttons. I got the adapter for the DS4 but only having 2 buttons really screwed with my mind making me sometimes use the back, but then also still having to reach the other two and the controller just feels less comfortable. Maybe a few games it could be better, but I really think it's all 4 or none.
The series elite 2 is an awesome controller I have 2 of them and the series elite 1. When I let a buddy of mine use the elite 1 when he picked it up he said "oh man this feels like money in my hand it must've been expensive" lol. I have had hardly any issues with either gen controller and have been very happy using them. One drawback though is the fact that when you get used to using the elite series controllers it is hard going back to the lower end controllers xbox has. The weight and feel is off when you use a standard controller and it feels like you don't get the same quality and response time of the premium elite series controllers.
Damn, this is a great comparison! Well done, sir. Subscribed! As you were talking about sticky buttons, my experience is against the Dual Sense, I found multiple controllers with which the buttons either started sticking, especially the Square button, or they changed sound sounding more gritty, like the membrane got stiffer, or buttons that started rumbling a bit when pressing, and all this after just a few months of light usage. I really take care of them, I don't rage and start throwing them around, they are clean, even if I clean them they don't stop sticking. I had no such issues with Xbox controllers or PS4/PS4 Pro ones. But one thing for me is that the Edge is a bit too expensive than what it offers. Yes, the replaceable sticks is cool, but that is just a way for Sony to get themselves out of having to offer better quality sticks for the Edge, especially for the price.
Im all for the Eliet Series 2. Just be sure to buy a warranty. The controller feels fantastic and the app to program it is intuitive and easy to use. My issue is I wont be able to go back to regular controllers now. I could go for the edge if the thumb sticks where offset. I feel super uncomfortable useing lined up sticks.
Great vid. It is absolute horseshit that Sony brought out a $200 controller that is still using the same potentiometer stick design imo. They could've been the ones to make Hall effect sticks the standard, and then that price would be a lot more palatable, but the whole replaceable stick module gimmick is so clearly just planned obsolescence that I just can't believe how many people are praising them for it.
This video really opened my eyes to the fact that every single persons hands are different. The Elite Series 2 (which I WOULD dub the best simply because of 4 paddles AND shift key functions [and all the other upsides]) has literally messed up my hand[s], because it's nearly impossible for me to cover the lb/rb if I am covering both sets of paddles and the triggers. It caused my middle finger knuckle to rub into the controller so much that it caused minor nerve damage while playing shooters and trying to use lb. I definitely find the edge to be the more comfortable controller, but that's also because the asymmetrical sticks aren't as ergonomic.
I used the original elite when it came out and it was great but the QC was awful. Have an edge now and while I like it, it would’ve been an easy pass for me if it didn’t have the replaceable stick modules. The trigger stops aren’t great and personally I feel like the included extra sticks aren’t tall enough. I’d love to see Scuf do replacement paddles for the edge like they did for the elite and am interested to see what extremerate comes out with for mods for the edge.
I own both of these got the series 2 at launch and a bumper died on me so got a second it’s been fine for the last 2 years and some change and it sees a ton of use on pc and I just g got my edge yesterday I’m beyond impressed with it and I love these swappable analog modules that’s amazing
Thank you for mentioning perceptive build quality of both. As I’ve held the both in my hand and the Elite Series 2 feels many times more premium in every single way than the Edge and I feel like people don’t understand the difference between perceived quality and build quality. I think the materials used are just more premium and soft but yes QC issues are present tho my both my Elite Series 2 controllers are flawless, personally could not justify keeping the Edge for my PS5 it def doesn’t live up to what I’m used to as a PRO controller it lacks many features that I scratched my head several times as to why things like stick tension, magnetic/metallic sticks, 2paddles instead of 4? (4 face buttons 🤔 )and use of higher quality materials. Not to mention the horrible battery life, trigger stoppers that are not even close to short enough, and the tacky shiny black cover they put on. Elite Series is now over 3 years old and a new one is on the horizon, hopefully with QC issues fixed
completely agree I honestly dont even use my dualsense edge that much the regular dualsense feels better imo but anytime I'm playing a game on the xbox or pc the elite is what I pick up it just feels so good.
@@DistinctionDino first of all is your name Dino because so is mine and this would be the first Dino Ive ever interacted with lol…. So to me the Regular Dual Sense is such a great controller that it’s almost like too hard to beat, if I could put the Xbox bumpers, and asymmetrical sticks on the DS it would be my favorite controller. When I opened my DS edge it felt almost exactly the same but in fact it was a bit uncomfortable because the middle of the handles cut into my hand in such a way that I don’t feel with the regular DS. The elite controller is complete opposite they made it way more comfortable, softer and of such premium materials that you feel like you’re holding a completely different controller than your base controller and that’s how I want it to feel at $120-$170.
Waiting for the dualsense edge XXL megapack battery. You'll have to strap a giant back pack battery onto your back like in Akira when the protagonist has the final showdown with Tetsuo.
I have both and I really want to love the Elite 2, but I had issues with the face buttons being unresponsive. Disappointing. I really dig the rear buttons and is something I miss dearly when using the dualsense edge.
What an excellent video as usual, but you don't talk about the input lag of the dualsense edge, before and after an overclock, thank you for your answer 👍
Yeah, the lack of quality control on the Elite 2 meant I returned 3 of them (and eventually got a refund) because the bumper buttons would just become unresponsive... and there's only a certain amount of times it's worth opening the controller up to clean it each week or two.
I ve been on hunt for an in depth review on these two for a while and all of sudden its in my recommendations. The gaming channel i ve always wanted. 45min honest unbiased review gimme that 🏆🏆🔥🔥🏆🔥🔥
Brilliant video as always. I can see why it's tough to say one over the other, based on what each pro/con they have. Hopefully we get an Xbox V3 that can be overclocked would be nice,, ultimately i agree, a controller with the best of both would be awesome to have over either of them (hopefully sometime soon).
2019 vs 2023 That’s all i gotta say. You can compare them but they not from the same generation. At the end of the year when the Series 3 will come out you should do this video again with the DualSense Edge vs Elite Series 3 .
I have all the analog stick answers that matter for bare recalibration, just put some X Box 1 Elite V2 Sticks in my DS4 with fully custom made Analog sticks & trim pot calibrated the potentiometers. 10% overshot on the circularity error is a sweet place to allow directional correction via screw driver axis throw.
How ya doing King Stallion? Been away for a spell, been having a mental health month as it seems, been some changes in my world recently and it’s been a little rough. But as usual your videos bring a brief moment of tranquility, be well sir.
Hey man, I've been going through the same stuff. I am finally (as of today) doing better. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos, there are plenty more coming in the near future.
Definitely know your military when you mention the commissary! Awesome video like always! Plus I got that Xbox dongle for my pc and it makes things so much easier and shows the right control on steam.
STill holding off on getting any pro/elite style controller. Mainly waiting for guillikit hall effects, but also just due to bad QC experiences the past like two years with both Xbox and Playstation controllers
Dude, thank you for the work you're doing here, I am happy owner of Gamesir G7 for two months now after wathing your review of it. This thing gives me consistent 3ms of input lag and I feel so comfy playing Elden Ring after remapping L3 and R3 to rear buttons. Though I need to mention that the usb-c cable they provided with gamepad died the very first week lol, but it is all good since I replaced it with the one from IKEA (had to cut a little on the rubberized sides of the plug so it fits in the controller). I hope they will make hall effect version, but will watch your review before buying it anyway haha. No way I am going back to 1st party controllers.
I own the elite series 2, I've been debating buying the dualsense edge but I've been on the fence about the value to price. I won the lottery on my series 2 apparently, I've heard people got horrible problems with them, problems I have yet to experience 5 months later so far.
For both Elite Series 1 & 2 I bought a second set of the smaller paddles and run 2 pairs of those, I also bought a second high concave thumbcap for the series 2 and I highly recommend both tweaks for feel
13:07 loving the flex test. FWIW my son snapped a regular PS5 Dualsense controller with his bare hands during one particular rage quit. But he's got arms like a gorilla and can bench-press over 300lbs. I seem to spend as much time repairing game controllers as you do reviewing them!
How can anyone be this entertaining talking about controllers. Brilliant. If you dont have a million billion subs soon then something is wrong with YooToob. 😂👌 (when im online im forever shouting that im molly whopping my paddles. It’s epic) 😂
@@GamerHeavenOfficial lol well, its been confirmed (at least someone I know that has a friend who is an engineer in Xbox) that Xbox IS prototyping new controllers. You may have heard of the patent that included an LCD screen where the Touchpad would go but also a bunch of other features that is similar to the Dualsense--for the love of God, I hope Gyro Aim... Xbox pulls that off with the same ergonomics and reliability of a "shooter" controller and they have a hands down amazing controller. Would be interesting how Sony would respond lol.
Love your content and bought a SOny Egde after watching your video. I just wanted to inform you incase you didn't know that you can pair any PS5 controller to PC as long as you have blutetooth of course, by holding down the PS and share buttons and the light on the touchpad will begin to blink fast to let you know is on sync mode. This also works on the PS5 for me. Keep up the great work.
I have a question for the dual sense edge. It will be real cool if you can answer this. I don't know if I missed this to your video. But, I was wondering if you can remap those rear buttons just using a pc, without a ps5?
I agree , the XBOX controller is probably the best design ever , I play multi platform games on XBOX exclusive on PS and SWITCH for all day every day. I love the ability to re-Map. But ELITE is best for sure. Great video
For some reason on PC with Microsoft's dongle if you have the latest firmware on your Elite 2 controller it doubles the input lag. I reverted mine back to the original firmware and it gets 8ms now with the input lag tester.
Great video what a pleasure to watch thank you for sharing... I can appreciate both systems for both consumers who are passionate with what they prefer... myself, huge Xbox/Microsoft fan since day one.. it's been quite a journey at this point in time.. had PlayStation 1 and Playstation 2 and started playing PlayStation online in the year 2001.. SOCOM u.s. Navy Seals was great back then... and of course Counter-Strike late 90s early 2000 you get an idea I'm a very old gamer lol... with all of my years experience of online gaming and controllers being subjective as it is I can honestly say the Elite Series 2 controller that I play competitively and I mean High competitively on Modern Warfare 2 I just use two of the bigger paddles on the bottom to jump in the other one to slide and squat... I took a page out of a few streamers book and this ideology is amazing... the control that I have and Precision in the quickness of this controller is breathtaking I would not change one thing with this controller... I can appreciate the Dual sense Edge for what it is I'm sure that's really cool for Sony fans very cool... I couldn't be any happier with my Elite Series 2 controller best controller ever to me thank you great video appreciate you😊
For some reason , and I’m pretty sure I know why but the center plate on my edge is a dark blue not black , I’m guessing the plastics used in the batch of plates that went on my controller was not dyed right ,at first I was disappointed but now I feel it makes it unique . Just hope the other components are not second batch parts.😂
Got my edge recently, great controller. If it had two more extra buttins like one next to each bumper (ala razer) it would be close to perfect. Battery sucks, but it is light
I have both, and though I like the PS5 dualsense edge controller more Sony absolutely dropped the ball on not giving PC users software support for the controller. The back paddles can't be used out the box without first mapping them and as of now the software is exclusively for PS5. *Hint* you can google DualSense Edge Profile Web Application and that will give none PS5 owner some control to include mapping the controller. Also certain game titles still do not support the PS5 dualsense edge if youre playing on PC. APEX Legends and both new Star Wars titles on EA does not support the Edge unless you use DS4. In the end, if you want a hassle free gaming experience, the Elite 2 is the better controller. If you must use a PS5 controller "me" you will need to jump through some hoops to make it worth while.
hey man cool channel, love how in-depth you get with controller reviews. im trying to get a new controller for PC and the more I watch your videos, the more im starting to realize the controller I want doesn't exist lol. why are there no PC optimized "pro" controllers with hall effect joysticks? I just want an 8bitdo Ultimate/Kingkong2 feature-mashup with a $150 build quality that isn't primarily designed for switch.
I want xbox ergonomics and button layout, hall effect sticks and triggers, tactile switches, retro-quality d-pad, software-programmable rear buttons, low input lag, xinput/dinput toggle, 2.4ghz/BT/wired support, and premium build quality. seems like everything is either overpriced marketing hype, or a compromise. ill probably go 8bitdo ultimate, but it doesn't check all my boxes.
Xbox for me wins hands down, better battery, charging case, layout, comfort, 4 back buttons and windows dongle. If they put hall joysticks into the next elite controller I don’t see much beating it.
I wish the Elite controller had good QC. It has my favorite 4-paddle configuration but my first Elite had the bumpers snap (which I fixed before getting horrendous stick drift), and my Elite 2’s right and left bumpers started double-inputting after about 3 months Since switching to PS5 and PC, the Dual Sense Edge looks like the next step-up, but it only has 2 paddles… I just wish there was a good 4-paddle controller
nice vid. my elite had worn out sticks. I mean they had a lot of play. Like an inbuild dead zone. So quality control is really a problem with those. There is one thing for me as a PC gamer is most important. The adaptability. I'm talking about modifying key layouts. I read the Edge can only mirror controller keys. that's cheap. With the elite I can modify every key. Not completely free but at least I can add a keyboard key on every key. There are still PC games that don't support any controller usage but would be much more fun with a controller. So you would need to lay keyboard keys on the controller. Another thing are high level simulations. (not strategy games) A good example would be ArmA3 You those games have so many functions a simple gamepad isn't enough. So you still want to use additional keys for features. The Elite is very ok with that as you can modify every key into a keyboard key and you have an alternate mode. (razer users know it as Hypershift) The only thing missing is mouse keys. It wouldn't be very costly to add a few codes to the list to have a full list of keys that is supported and needed by...WINDOWS. if my elite wouldn't be damaged I would recommend it. But I don't really want to find out about minor damages after the 4 weeks return police. (for a European Amazon is your best friend. Long time return and warranty for 2 years. And I had my issues with companies who just ignored EU law but Amazon just refunded without further questions.)
i know that american people will also prefer the xbox controllers over Japanese Sony controllers but just saying..........i like Sony's Japanese controllers waaaaay better (PS4 & PS5) to me they feel more comfortable, innovative & with more technical features for extreme fun gameplay especially with Japanese/Asian games that feels so Samurai Dynasty GOD-LIKE !!!
in your opinion what would you rather use a battle beaver ps5 or a dual sense edge i played xbox controllers my whole life and i wanna switch and i would like to know which you would rather have
If your using the case to charge wouldn’t the usb c cable be plugged into the charging dock and not wrapped up in the net sitting on top of the sticks?
I own the Halo Infinite Elite Series 2 & the DualSense Edge and I love them equally for different reasons. For the Elite: - 40 Hour Battery Life - 4 Back Paddles - 360° Wraparound Rubberized Grips - Swappable D-Pad - Less Travel on Trigger Stops For the Edge: - Removable Stick Modules - Adaptive Triggers - Haptic Feedback - Different Style Back Buttons - Dedicated Share Button - Integrated Customization Software - Better & More Responsive Face Buttons & Bumpers *(personal preference and experience)* Overall, I’d personally give both a 9/10 tie. Great in what they excel at, but both imperfect and lacking in certain qualities in their own respects.
Thing is, I've been an Xbox player my whole life, I've never used an Xbox one/S/series X remote that had developed stick drift, but i have used two PS5 remotes, the standard one was fine, but the pro controller had serious stickdrift.
That’s unfortunate. I’ve had Xbox for 3 years and over 4 controllers 3 developed stick drift some even over a week it was terrible and found most Xbox controllers are just plain bad. Recently got a PS5 in early July and so far it’s been fine. What I will say is the controller that came with the Xbox still even after 3 years doesn’t have stick drift. It’s so confusing.
I’ve had Xbox elite series 2 for 2 years. I use it sparingly. This controller had so much potential but it’s pisses me off so much. Stick drift with in the year. Back buttons one then is hard to press. Inconsistent joy stick modules. I’ve had to install the the stick drift PCB in to correct it’s issues. Works fine now but I can’t trust it. I’ve been using Wolverine razor controller heavily for 3 years and it feels way better and doesn’t drift. I can say without owning a PS5 or owning a pro dual sense controller. That it’s superior cuz you can swap joystick modules. Sure it has only 2 back buttons but most people don’t use 4. As an Xbot the ps5 is just better if you looking for something that can go the distance.
I just wish Sony had put 4 buttons on the back
4 paddles on the back and a bigger battery like the eliye series 2
Same
With better trigger stops as well.

The elite controller is complete opposite they made it way more comfortable, softer and of such premium materials that you feel like you’re holding a completely different controller than your base controller and that’s how I want it to feel at $120-$170.
POV: you have an Xbox
@@TxDude62 POV: you’re an immature fanboy
@@DeanT1987 you wrote a whole paragraph 🤷🏻♂️
Waiting for the dualsense edge XXL megapack battery. You'll have to strap a giant back pack battery onto your back like in Akira when the protagonist has the final showdown with Tetsuo.
😂
"Take a dump on my doorstep" fuck that got me 😂😂
I have both and I really want to love the Elite 2, but I had issues with the face buttons being unresponsive. Disappointing. I really dig the rear buttons and is something I miss dearly when using the dualsense edge.
Been waiting for this video, finally watched. Happy man. Thank you!
You’re welcome
I currently own both of the controllers and so far I had no issue with both the Xbox elite 2 and the PS5 dual sense edge.
Can't wait for the elite series 3!
What an excellent video as usual, but you don't talk about the input lag of the dualsense edge, before and after an overclock, thank you for your answer 👍
Yeah, the lack of quality control on the Elite 2 meant I returned 3 of them (and eventually got a refund) because the bumper buttons would just become unresponsive... and there's only a certain amount of times it's worth opening the controller up to clean it each week or two.
i just found and subd this dude def. Goes super in depth instead of just being abt views. Really like the attention to detail and work, thanks!!
Just a question, what's the point of having only two back paddles? Are we not trying to eliminate having to take our thumbs off the sticks?
I ve been on hunt for an in depth review on these two for a while and all of sudden its in my recommendations. The gaming channel i ve always wanted. 45min honest unbiased review gimme that 🏆🏆🔥🔥🏆🔥🔥
Brilliant video as always. I can see why it's tough to say one over the other, based on what each pro/con they have. Hopefully we get an Xbox V3 that can be overclocked would be nice,, ultimately i agree, a controller with the best of both would be awesome to have over either of them (hopefully sometime soon).
Can you get the two to mate and do a review of their baby?
I don’t leave a cable in my series 2 case. I leave it plugged in as a charge doc and pack it separately for safer travel.
2019 vs 2023
That’s all i gotta say.
This is not only the best comparison between these two controllers. But also the best review of both. You killed 3 birds with one stone.
This is the review I’ve been waiting for
right on!
I already knew what controller I was gonna get before clicking on this video but I watched it anyways
no comparison ! Dualsense Edge hands down.
Definitely know your military when you mention the commissary! Awesome video like always! Plus I got that Xbox dongle for my pc and it makes things so much easier and shows the right control on steam.
Thanks man
STill holding off on getting any pro/elite style controller.
Though I need to mention that the usb-c
cable they provided with gamepad died the very first week lol, but it is all good since I replaced it with the one from IKEA (had to cut a little on the rubberized sides of the plug so it fits in the controller).
Bro I can watch your videos all day. This coming from a long lifer kbm player. Work in progress making the switch to controller.
For both Elite Series 1 & 2 I bought a second set of the smaller paddles and run 2 pairs of those, I also bought a second high concave thumbcap for the series 2 and I highly recommend both tweaks for feel
"Kevin thank you for the tech specs, but I dont know how to read" 😂
You’re not alone comrade
13:07 loving the flex test. FWIW my son snapped a regular PS5 Dualsense controller with his bare hands during one particular rage quit. But he's got arms like a gorilla and can bench-press over 300lbs. I seem to spend as much time repairing game controllers as you do reviewing them!
How can anyone be this entertaining talking about controllers. Brilliant. If you dont have a million billion subs soon then something is wrong with YooToob. 😂👌 (when im online im forever shouting that im molly whopping my paddles. It’s epic) 😂
Your enjoyable performance rewarded you another subscriber great job on the video
Awesome video. I hope Sony watches this video so they can improve on their designs.
What about Microsoft? 😂
@Gamer Heaven MS will figure it out. Sony just got into the pro controller business, they'll need your help sooner than later.
Would be interesting how Sony would respond lol.
amazing, professional comparison review! top tier content💣💣💣
Brother… is your Ace of Spades SMOKING?!
These are typically bought for shooters. Most ppl who play shooters don't care about the dpad, it's just a menu/ping button
As always the best and most informative reviews out there 😍
The elite feels mor hefty because they actually have a belattery that is 10x that of the edge
Great video
Thanks my friend
Clicked on the vid because I've been waiting on it from you... 45 minutes 👀😒 i know I'm going watch it all though 😂🤣
For some reason on PC with Microsoft's dongle if you have the latest firmware on your Elite 2 controller it doubles the input lag. I reverted mine back to the original firmware and it gets 8ms now with the input lag tester.
Iv always thought this … what’s the best way to revert it ? …
You look like Leonidas from Sparta.
I couldn't be any happier with my Elite Series 2 controller best controller ever to me thank you great video appreciate you😊
I had an elite series 1 and I just arranged the cable in a big triangle to go around the analogue sticks 🤷
That's freaking cool 😮
Got my edge recently, great controller. If it had two more extra buttins like one next to each bumper (ala razer) it would be close to perfect. Battery sucks, but it is light
I love your intro 😆 Always makes me smile/laugh! Cheers, friend. Stay awesome! 🙌
The edge is my first Elite controller. And I love it. I haven’t touched my MnK since I received it.
There’s no way I could ever downgrade to 2 back buttons. Sony dropped the ball big time by only including 2. If not for that it’d be a no brainer.
Great review dude :)
Lest go gamer heaven so excited for this video
Excited for you to be watching
hey man cool channel, love how in-depth you get with controller reviews. im trying to get a new controller for PC and the more I watch your videos, the more im starting to realize the controller I want doesn't exist lol. why are there no PC optimized "pro" controllers with hall effect joysticks? I just want an 8bitdo Ultimate/Kingkong2 feature-mashup with a $150 build quality that isn't primarily designed for switch.
I want xbox ergonomics and button layout, hall effect sticks and triggers, tactile switches, retro-quality d-pad, software-programmable rear buttons, low input lag, xinput/dinput toggle, 2.4ghz/BT/wired support, and premium build quality. seems like everything is either overpriced marketing hype, or a compromise. ill probably go 8bitdo ultimate, but it doesn't check all my boxes.
Its funny how the swapable module keep being mentioned...
Xbox for me wins hands down, better battery, charging case, layout, comfort, 4 back buttons and windows dongle. If they put hall joysticks into the next elite controller I don’t see much beating it.
best in the universe of controllers
I wish the Elite controller had good QC. It has my favorite 4-paddle configuration but my first Elite had the bumpers snap (which I fixed before getting horrendous stick drift), and my Elite 2’s right and left bumpers started double-inputting after about 3 months
Since switching to PS5 and PC, the Dual Sense Edge looks like the next step-up, but it only has 2 paddles… I just wish there was a good 4-paddle controller
I feel like if the Elite Series 2 controller ever gets hall effect sticks and better quality control it be basically the perfect controller for me.
Come on maaaaaaaaan! You gotta pick one!
Great video bro thanks
My pleasure
i just wish i could use it cuz i always forget to charge it all the way
Im 14 minutes in. Great review. Youre really going the distance on detail without poopoo-ing flaws.
Lay off the caffeine.
nice vid.
my elite had worn out sticks.
I think XBox controller are more suitable for gaming on PC because some games on Steam don't display Playstation controller icons. Any thoughts?
DS4 windows, the app is amazing and free it’ll allow your PlayStation controller to be used anywhere in your PC
Stick drift can also be fixed w the extreme rate amazon fix for like$16
i know that american people will also prefer the xbox controllers over Japanese Sony controllers but just saying..........i like Sony's Japanese controllers waaaaay better (PS4 & PS5) to me they feel more comfortable, innovative & with more technical features for extreme fun gameplay especially with Japanese/Asian games that feels so Samurai Dynasty GOD-LIKE !!!
I bought and only use the Elite Series 2 because that's the only controller that all PC games use as the gamepad options
in your opinion what would you rather use a battle beaver ps5 or a dual sense edge i played xbox controllers my whole life and i wanna switch and i would like to know which you would rather have
Is the XBox Adapter still relevant for the Elite 2? Will it improve/reduce lag still for Steam/PC?
If your using the case to charge wouldn’t the usb c cable be plugged into the charging dock and not wrapped up in the net sitting on top of the sticks?
What controller would you recommend for someone who plays on pc competitively and wants no stick drift and fastest response time?
I own the Halo Infinite Elite Series 2 & the DualSense Edge and I love them equally for different reasons. For the Elite:
- 40 Hour Battery Life
- 4 Back Paddles
- 360° Wraparound Rubberized Grips
- Swappable D-Pad
- Less Travel on Trigger Stops
For the Edge:
- Removable Stick Modules
- Adaptive Triggers
- Haptic Feedback
- Different Style Back Buttons
- Dedicated Share Button
- Integrated Customization Software
- Better & More Responsive Face Buttons & Bumpers *(personal preference and experience)*
Overall, I’d personally give both a 9/10 tie. Great in what they excel at, but both imperfect and lacking in certain qualities in their own respects.
Have they dropped a firmware update for the edge yet, for use on PC? Without having to run a secondary app.
Does DS4 windows allow you to remap the FN buttons and back buttons?
Can you test if the Xbox back paddles fit on the PS5 Edge?
Also if the Dualsense Edge had the Vita's Dpad I would have bought it instantly even at that BS price
