Biggest reason I mostly use PS controllers on PC is because of the gyroscope. Gyroscope aiming is a generational leap ahead of relying on just tiny thumbsticks and heavy aim assist that does the work for you. Generally, I perform better without aim assist and using sticks+gyro, than using just sticks and aim assist. The responsiveness and precision is much closer to a mouse. Not every PS5 game has gyro aim (some have it but it’s not done well), and on PC the gyro can emulate mouse input which feels fantastic.
I love both, I do find the dualsense to be a little bigger than I'd like it to be. It still feels super comfy but it's maybe set a bit wide for my tastes. I feel like the Xbox controller sets my hands into the "it's go time" position, where the dualsense is more chill.
I like that, I think that's why I prefer DualSense, it's like you said, it gives me a more chill vibe, which I'm more into nowadays when I play games, even though the Xbox controller feels like it fits better, but maybe it's too serious.
Only thing better in x box controller is battery life. Now i just got a ps5 the damn share button is bout broke. Swapping it out today. Only had maybe 2-3 days.Hell i bout a one x broke controller out of box also my series x broke left analog. Yay quality 😄😄😄
As a Xbox user since 2001 I will say this. For the first time ever I bought a PlayStation and it wasn’t the exclusives that sealed the deal. It was holding a Dual Sense and for the first time ever loving a PS. Controller in the past PS controllers have never felt comfortable to me and always felt cheap and flimsy in comparison but this time around its perfect for me and ultimately that natural feeling of DS controller in my hands is why I now have a PS5 sharing space with my Series X. I still prefer my Series X ergonomically but the tech in the dual sense is hard to ignore and appreciate. My favorite controller to game on is def the Elite 2 and mostly when I’m playing FPS
Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I was blown away with the dualsense when I turned on my ps5 for the first time and played astros playroom , the controller demo it plays in the beginning.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial absolutely blown away by it in Astros playroom as well. I was recently blown away again when I was playing TLOU pt1 and I could feel the characters voice resonating through the controller, granted no sound was coming out of the controller just the most subtle vibration enough to mimic the bass that comes from your vocal chords, utterly impressed.
Dude, you are either insane or stupid... as someone who has owned both basically since the beginning, the Xbox controllers have been god awful since forever... up until NOW with the current design, which is beautiful, ergonimic and feels good. Playstation controllers have not evolved that much at all. So if you think the ps controller is more comfortable, over the current Xbox controller... compared to previous gens.. you are absolutely insane.
At 18.24 where you are talking about the sticks try changing a setting in ds4windows called anti-deadzone.. It's default value is 0.20 I think and it causes the stick to not register input until a certain threshold.. Changing the value to 0 will rectify this and you will see the direct linear input in gamepad tester
Mind blown, thank you Stallion! this in info I will be putting in all future controller videos when testing PS sticks in gamepad tester. Thank you again
Just got my first Elite Series 2 Core, and..... It seems flawless, I cannot sleep over it!! Something must be wrong or must be right!!! 🙌🙌 Thanks a lot for your videos, you helped me see the world with different vision 👍👍👍👍
I found your channel while trying to decide on a new PC controller, didn't find a dualsense review back then but after binging all your videos I had enough knowledge to know that I wanted a Dualsense and I don't regret it. Thumbs up 1000 times! I'll get an Elite 2 core for that paddle stuff one day, but I only need those for a couple of games.
if you dont need 4 paddles, dual sense edge is probably the best in its 2-paddle category imo (besides the dpad, but then again offset dpad to the face buttons is a pain for retro games)
Touchpad on PS controller = 2 buttons on Steam, and you can reach DR and left side of touchpad with your thumb while running forward (holding left stick up). For Apex on PC dualshock/dualsense is go to roller
PlayStation Controller all the way for me, the PS5 controller feels great to hold, size is nice, and the features it has are awesome. I still enjoy the Series controller but overall it feels small in my hands and somewhat clicky feeling compared to the PS5
Owning both PS5 and Series X consoles and controllers, personally I prefer the Xbox controllers better both original and elite. I feel it is more comfortable, I like the option xbox gives you if you want batteries or a rechargeable battery as they will degrade with time or even forget batteries just plug in the usb c cable and play no type of battery needed! The amount of options and colors simply the variety and special edition controllers xbox makes compared to ps controllers not even counting all the cool and awesome personalized designs you can make with microsoft design lab!I feel ps controllers are a bit boring. They need better colors more variety maybe some kind of design lab like microsoft but sony design lab😅 Also the charge doesn’t last long on ps controllers. Regarding the haptic feedback on ps5 dualsense most of the time I disable it or leave it on low setting as I feel its more gimmick and messes my aim on FPS games more than it helps me. Only thing I hate about the series controllers is the dpad. Sometimes the clicky Dpad makes it feel cheap and the sound sometimes annoys me compared to how silent and calm the button presses are on the ps5 dualsense. Thats just my opinion at the end of the day I love both in their own way💚💙
PlayStation controller is definitely better, if you like the features that Xbox controller doesn't have. On the other hand, i think that Xbox controller is holding way better, when you actually get used to it it's way more comfortable than PS5 controller. +Batteries aren't really a problem, theyre cheap and i buy 100 batteries pack every year or so and I never have to charge my controller.
Love them both for different games, Duel Sense for fighting games like Tekken, Street Fighter etc and immersive indie games, except for MK12, Xbox for driving games and everything else.. I've personally stopped using standard controllers and prefer DS Edge and Elite V2, Thanks for the video dude ✌️
I don’t favor either one, both have their positives and negatives, so I go with the “native” controller or on a game by game basis, but I gotta clarify connect Xbox, PlayStation, and also Nintendo controllers to Apple devices is pretty easy and seamless, they even sell Xbox snd PlayStation controllers on the Apple Store, I also like to test different controllers with different devices and there controller adapters to connect any controller you want to the device you want to play it on, a good breakdown regardless captain
For me the clear winner is Xbox, just far more comfortable controllers and they got the thumbstick layout correct imo. Dual sense controllers are by far the most comfortable controllers Sony has made, and the features are hella nice but my thumbs always find a way to hit each other unless I use kontrol freaks and sweaty hands make it far more uncomfortable to hold.
I am a PC gamer and currently I am looking for a pair of new controllers to replace my Logitech F710 that suffered from terrible drifting after 2 years of extensive usage. I used that controller for various games, most of them are brawler games from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (Yakuza and Judgment series, you should play them). I need a pair controllers that have enough features for supporting my PC gaming experience with as much modularity as possible and the price that as cheap as possible so I don't really mind to toss them away if they broke someday. At first, I wanted to buy an Xbox Series X|S controller because that is my office's console. But just 4 months after owning them (The console and 2 controllers), our Xbox Series X|S got a minor stick drift and fatal bumper issues, just like you mentioned in this video. We mostly use our controllers to play FIFA, 2 hours per day maximum. But there are at least 10 people playing with them and each person has different play style. So there is that. As you said in this video, Dualsense is the better controller than Series X|S Controller because Dualsense has more and better features for its price. But as a PC gamer that has no interest with PS5 and/or Playstation exclusives, Dualsense price outweights the features that I really need and use for gaming. Meanwhile, Series X|S Controller has very terrible quality control as you said in this video. That being said, I currently put Gamesir G7, a controller you reviewed the other day, and Rexus Daxa Asteria AX1 (if you know it) to my wishlist. Thank you for being a good channel that show us a bunch of good controller review videos. Keep doing what you doing.
I love what you're doing, though I'm not surprised by the results commonly being a tie or unfair to judge. I have plenty of experience with both and have always felt it wasn't necessary or even fair to compare any xbox or sony products as they are entirely built and designed with different things in mind.
Playstation controllers for me over Xbox. Dualsense is hands down better (like you mentioned) because of the features. But theres 1 MAJOR reason I take a Dualsense over Xbox: Gyro Aim. Gyro Aim is my main form of aiming in games and Xbox controllers lack the technology where literally the rest of the industry has it. Gyro Aim is growing quickly in popularity as well. Having "mouse-like" aim in a controller is major improvements over traditional stick aiming especially in an era with tons of crossplay with PC. I have seen quite a few posts about the need of Gyro Aim to play or "Gyro Aim has ruined me" because now I cannot play without it. MS really just needs to come out with a new controller that catches up with the tech of the world. Great ergonomics but doesnt matter if its missing major features that enhance or evolve the gaming experience.
Both are great. I think that xbox will bring back the haptic feedback they wanted to use originally. The comfort for me does go to xbox. It just feels to lock into my hands better. But the dualsense is very close in comfort
Oh yeah there were leaks that Xbox were going to do something similar to Sony's dualsense with the next Xbox controller and actually add features like haptic feedback and change it up a bit.
I have no idea how I got hooked to watching your reviews. I decided to get an 8bitdo for Steamdeck but now I am just binging on reviews of controllers of all kinds. I guess I really like your style. And the editing! Sick stuff.
I see xbox one controllers going for $40 and series for $50 if u don't like micro usb but if you use a battery pack or batteries it doesn't matter anyway
damn its rough for warranties in the US huh? In the UK/EU its a legal requirement that everything (electronics) has a year as a standard and it resets when you receive a new item if it had to be replaced/repaired.
I want a Anti Xbox Controller - Asymmetrical Layout - With the R3 over top the (‘Square, Triangle, O, X’ / ‘X, Y, B, A’) and the D-Pad above the L3. That^ or A Anti PlayStation Controller - Symmetrical Layout - With both Thumbsticks towards the top of controller on the front.
what's your best controller, in your personal opinion, like what are you using now, or what would you use for pc. i have the dual sense, i have the dualsense edge, and the xbox eswap pro.
I wonder if the input lag difference has something to do with the protocol used. My understanding is that microsoft created a new protocol when they made the 360, called xinput to replace the venerable direct input, which was still used by the ps3 (thus why you could use pretty much any usb joystick on ps3). It may be that, because direct input is older, it's more robust and more finely polished, though I'm only speculating, so take what I say with a grain of salt, lol.
Is there any difference other than cosmetic, between Microsoft Series X controllers with different release dates? I notice alot of the fancy coloured ones have newer releases compared to the black or white ones.
As a series x owner, and a (not amazing but pretty darn good) competetive FPS gamer, I hands down choose to use the PlayStation controller for one very specific reason. That is the far better calibration of the analog sticks. My initial ADS and tracking a target is just far superior on the PS controller. So much so, I even bought a DualSense Edge to play on the Xbox. I just can’t go back to the Elite series 2. No matter how deep I go into the accessory settings, it just doesn’t compare to the PS. P.S. the DSE did not work on the latest firmware of the brooks Wingman XB. I reached out to Brook, and they emailed me a Beta download. The controller is now working flawlessly through the converter on XBSX. Edit: PS DS Edge now works on latest brooks xb2 firmware as well.
Thanks for your experience and the news on the Brook adapter , that’s awesome because I knew it didn’t work as I had tried it on my Xbox series, but I’m glad they got the update out to get the edge working! Great stuff
No you can’t. :(. Although when I plug it in, there is a quick plug in sound feedback. So I don’t know if, if I had a ps5 I’d be able to manipulate any volume settings to let me use it. Maybe the volume is set to 0 internally, until you turn it up through settings? I’m unsure, but it’s safe to assume that no, you’ll get no feed through the jack.
And I just came across something else. If/when your PS controller is plugged in through the brooks on xbsx, you will get no mouse support, should you plug one in
I'm in the process of getting my second *brand new* Elite Series 2 controller replaced because Microsoft just can't get face buttons to work reliably. Really remarkable for a multi-billion dollar company with the best controller on the market to absolutely miss the mark so much.
I miss the OG Xbox and Dreamcast controllers. Wish they were made with todays bells and whistles. I just liked the larger size. Now I'm using a PS controller because it feels better in the hands. Wish the sticks were offset :(
I use both, so comfort isn't a sticking point for me really. I prefer a Sony layout and I also prefer their dpads. Cross dpads but with each button separated on the shell. The main thing for me is Sony controllers pretty much feel 1:1, like, no input delay or sluggishness. The haptics are also massive for the PS5 controller. Touchpad is still a useless gimmick that I wish they had dropped. Great video as always mate, plenty of laughs in this one too 🤣
They don't integrate the touchpad properly it's sony's fault on pc aside using it as a mouse it has customizable layouts you can play strategy games on a couch and you can use it to rotate the camera naturally and smoothly like a mouse instead of the analog movement on a thumb stick. If touchpad was useless valve wouldn't go out their way to include it in steam deck. Sony shouldn't drop it they should improve like mapping around 18 buttons on steamdeck trackpads and also let their costumers use it like in pc instead of being underutilized.
i’ve been on ps4 for the past few years and just got a Series S yesterday. i’ve held ps5 controllers before and while they feel more familiar they are really bulky for my small hands. xbox feels more comfortable and i’m getting used to it quickly.
ultimately, I think it comes down to one factor, which is honestly completely silly, but which is of vital importance to me: which one works better when playing a Katamari Damacy game, and if you've ever played "beautiful katamari" on xb360, you can pretty much guess which controller wins that fight hands down. I don't have a good explanation for this, it's just one of those games that I'll go back to constantly, because it's so damn much fun, even if it's a little bit silly.
After gaming on both for over a year the PS5 controller is very nice but strains my thumbs, painfully even. The smaller asymmetrical Xbox layout let's your fingers rest in more natural position and it makes you more accurate too. Shame bc the PS5 features are awesome
I mean I feel like you’re spitting facts. Sony has innovated, Xbox has (barely) iterated. DualSense has more features and is more responsive. Hoping Xbox doesn’t wait until next gen to bring more updates to their offering.
I think maybe years of playing on playstation might have caused some sort of muscle memory, but I recently got an xbox and I feel like the offset joysticks cause me to hold the controller in a way where it's putting too much pressure on my right palm. Maybe from unconsciously rotating it so the joysticks are more in line like the dualshock controllers? I'm not quite sure, but I can't play on my xbox as long as I can on playstation. I still think I prefer the more symmetrical design of the dualshock.
My opinion owning both: Xbox controllers feels great with the weight and surface grippy feeling. Good battery/pack life too. I personally hate the click feedback from the dpad and buttons, i know it’s mechanical but its so noisy and “cold” it feels out of place. Ps5 controllers are nice with the slight shape adjustment. The buttons and dpad feel traditionally good. Battery life sucks, even with all haptics turned off. I also don’t really care much for the haptics - its a great feature in its own right, but it doesn’t do much for me ( earlier vibration was also a switch-off for me. Highly personal, i am aware). Overall i lean towards the ps5 for the button feel, but xbox for the robustness.
With regards to how the controller feels, it is VERY much subjective. Each person will have their own view and they are all valid. Also, for those reading this, please note that what I point out below applies mostly when analyzing the controllers outside of gameplay. When I play, I'm not thinking about any of this (with one exception). -When I wrap my hands around each, the Xbox controller feels so much better... BUT, I don't play holding the controller that way. In order to have my fingers in the right place, the edges of any controller sit in my palms. Given that, each controller feels the same in terms of comfort. -Continuing on feel, I've disliked the bumpers on Xbox controllers since they were introduced on the 360 controller. I like to rest my index fingers on the triggers, so reaching up to a bumper feels uncomfortable to me. On PS controllers, the R1 and R2 are flush with each other making this a comfortable way to play (again for me). -When it comes to layout, I find the Dualsense to to be more intuitive. The symmetry is more than just the sticks (and I love that 'up' is the same angle for each thumb). The face buttons and D-pad are in the same layout and distance from each thumb. The options and share buttons are in the same place on each side and are easy to find. On the Xbox controller, the D-pad is in an odd place and direction. (This could all be due to being ambidextrous). This is the one place where it takes me a split second every time I reach for the d-pad as I just don't find it intuitive (I have the same problem on the Switch). Despite all this, I love both of these controllers. I almost can't imagine playing an Xbox game without an Xbox controller, or a PS game without a PS controller (and so on and so forth. Nintendo's retro controllers for the Switch make the NES and SNES such an amazing experience). Controllers are just part of the experience.
I'm glad you mentioned the month free when you buy an Xbox controller because I took the controller out and closed the box and put it away without looking in the box, gonna have to go take a look after this
Quick update /punch in the stomach but at least for the time being, gamepass trials aren't included with control purchases, even the eliete. Don't have much info as to why or what but don't get excited expecting a gamepass code 😪
Gamer heaven ? For you out of the elite series 2 and the hex gaming ultra x controller which is a better controller in your opinion? I have the elite 2 which I like and I have the scuf ultimate which I don’t like all that much is the hex ultra better?
For me the Xbox is more comfortable. It comes down to the triggers movement on Xbox they pivot from on point and go in and your index finger moves downward very little where on dualsense they move downward 4mm and in so your index finger moves downward a lot more which feels uncomfortable to me. Also the trigger shape on Xbox the sides of the triggers are angled and the flat section is only 10mm where on the dualsense there almost completely flat and at 18mm across.
33:37 dang it I wish I knew that before I got a aim ps5 controller bc I like the Xbox controllers way better and wanted the elite series 2 really bad but since I got a ps5 for Christmas I couldn’t get that😔
Watched the video, yeah fair conclusion. However, at about the 5m mark I disagree, any of the buttons that aren't the coloured in letter ones with black backing, I can't see the letters easily. I'd rather they do, all red, blue, gold, green, yellow, letters with black backing, every other button they make, at least currently in the design lab, they may as well not have letters at all. Maybe clear letters with backlighting is the next evolution.
I noticed you didn't mention it, probably because the market share is even smaller than mac, but I can confirm dualsense works just fine in linux as well, lol Xbox I have no idea about...
i like both personally, i'm getting more familiar with my xbox elite 2 controller as well. But this was a really good and interesting video. keep it up.
tbh XBox and PS's different analog stick + d-pad layout doesn't make difference. yeah it is different. gamecube had xbox style layout too but I really don't notice the QOL difference. what bother me is that xbox and nintendo have different ABXY layout. for example emulation, I use playstation controller because Triangle, Circle, Cross, Square, these are easier to convert to ABXY in my head.
I've been using a Dual Sense for PC since it came out. About to buy an Xbox controller today and have binged on review videos all day. For some reason, older Ubisoft games on their Ubisoft+ app don't recognize the DS natively. I have to manually add those games to Steam in order to use the DS controller. I'm just looking for something different so I hope it won't be a waste of money. Either way, it'll be nice to have a backup controller in case the DS breaks on me.
Swoooordsss and sandallllsss gladiatorrrrrr......So, I have been using Xbox controllers for over 15 years and recently I got a PS5 controller to try out the haptic feedback and triggers on PC. N damn. I really like it. It feels higher quality, has more features and it is very comfortable. I love the PS5 controller but if the Xbox controller had some of those features from the Dualsense then I feel like I'd still prefer Xbox controllers because it's pretty much compatible with 99% of games on PC. But that's really the only reason tbh
Battery: Definitely a huge win for Xbox controller for me. I have a ton of rechargeable AA batteries so I didn't even need to spend more money for batteries. But even if I didn't have rechargeable AA's its still a huge win. No need to worry about opening the controller and swapping the battery. The controller will still work 10+ years as long as no stick drift. Ps5 controller is still my favorite. Just like the use of rechargeable AA's on Xbox controllers. Still using a 360 controller on PC
Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 with the small dual paddles in the back as bumper buttons is the best. PS5 controller feels chuncky and the friction I feel on the triggers is just annoying, the vibration and gyro is cool though. I hope the Elite 3 controller gets the gyro feature, specially when I'm playing switch and wii games.
Xbox thumbstick tops are too small for me. Xbox controller is more comfortable in my hands however. But overall because of wider thumbstick tops gives me better control, the dualsense wins.
The only reason I went with PlayStation over Xbox back in the day is because the Xbox controller was never comfortable to me with that big battery pack in the back.
6:10 Don't get me wrong I really like the job that your doing but if you hide the cursor I would be able to see the page. Since the sequence is short and cursor is the most contrasted thing on the screen I couldn't help myself just looking at it. I know it's a tiny bit of detail but still a huge impact visual wise.
As someone who played both controllers im not biased ps controller better for stealth games like last of us but faster paced multiplayer games thst needs speedier button pressing xbox controller alot more easier and faster for binge gaming. And ps main games tend to be designed to be more forgiving with stealthy ambushing on last of us. If ps symettrical joysticks would be so much more superior they wouldnt keept old joystick position they had from gamecube. Just do t drop youre controller on floor and it wont break after a few months
Would i rather have more features, but have to charge my controller every time i put it down? Or have less features, but not have to worry for weeks to replace the batteries? For me, the xbox controller is my go-to. While the haptics on the ps controller are nice, and the reactive triggers are really cool, i don't really care enough about them to justify the extra cost and terrible battery life. I'd honestly trade the touchpad and mic in the ps controller for a bigger battery. If it lasted between 10-20 hours, it would be much more inviting. But for now, i just wanna pick up my controller and not have to worry about charging it. If the batteries are almost dead on xbox, i can just swap out the batteries for new ones and keep playing. And ofc the Xbox controller is more comfortable to me, both shape-wise and its stick layout.
By a charging dock for when your done gaming. If your controller was fully charged and dies while gaming then youve literally been playing beyond the recommend hours anyone with a life should be playing.
I'm thinking about switching from a Dualsense to an Xbox controller for gaming on my PC, I'm kinda tired of the constant charging of the Dualsense, but the ergonomics is a real thing for me. I feel like the Dualsense is soooo comfortable but I have no idea how the Xbox controller feels.
As an avid Xbox user/gamer (Never purchased or played a PlayStation) and a HUGE FAN of the Elite 2, out of curiosity I recently purchased a stock PS5 controller along with some eXtreme Rate products like the clicks action/face buttons/triggers/bumpers as well as the Rise 4.0 rear paddles/buttons. After installing everything and a bit of over locking I was SOLD ON THE PS5! Hands down a great controller!!!! I’ve been a PC gamer since 2019 and have always used my Elite (thinking it was over locked)😅😅 I can tell the difference in the 2 controllers mainly the responsiveness of the PS5 blew me out the water, I had to lower my sensitivity for Warzone!!!! Thanks to Mr AK for his expertise in controllers and those awesome guides he puts out I have 2 great controllers! Appreciate the awesome video as always! 🫡🫶🏼
The elite 2 is still one of my top 3 favorite Xbox controllers, I LOVE mine! That’s awesome to hear your experience! I’ve actually heard other gamers say that too, about having to lower sensitivity because an overclocked PS controller is so responsive it’s almost twitchy at first when making the change. I’m always glad when you enjoy one of my videos!
Honestly, what might be more interesting is a video on *why* some people prefer one joystick layout over the other, maybe what it says about playstyle, etc.
the symmetrical layout works better for 2d games typically so your fingers can be symmetrical and hold the grip the same when using the dpad and face buttons. the xbox controller layout was designed after 3d gaming became mainstream, so its designed around stuff like shooter games. personally i think symmetrical is better because its still completely comfortable and efficient for 3d games but asymmetrical feels uncomfortable for 2d games. just depends on what you play more and what you grew up on (btw i grew up with asymmetrical on nintendo consoles so i'm not biased)
@@eliserss lol, I can still remember the N64 with it's single stick and six face buttons. heck, i remember using ateri 2600 joysticks on commodore 64. (fun fact: you can play sonic the hedgehog games on genesis with the same joystick as well, though you have to use the genesis gamepad first to start the game, then switch, because the atari had the start game controls on the console itself) personally I think even for 3d games symmetrical works better, because most of the time, your thumbs are going to be on the right thumbstick adjusting the camera as you move, only turning to the abxy or XO[]/\ for jumping or reloading. Maybe in a more platforming intensive game async might be better, though even then I prefer them to be symmetrical =/
no conversation to be had. xbox simply puts limits on you (controller latency) there for they lose every time. nothing else matters while that is still a thing
Hi, this is off topic question but I really need an answer. Can I use Xbox series controller on ps3 in anyway possible? Like Bluetooth adapter or wired?
xbox controllers are specifically designed for first person shooter games, the offset left thumbstick is designed ergonomically to allow for your thumb to push forward with the end of your thumb to sprint which is more natural than holding up with the side of your thumb as you do with playstation. i will say that all elite series 2 controllers come out of the box broken and not centered correctly, they all come out of the box centered slight to the bottom right and any input you have going left will engage sooner than if you were trying to turn right(with the right thumbstick) which is pretty shitty for fps games if you use no deadzone, apparently battlebeaver has almost created a resolution to this issue. if xbox could fix the centering of their thumbstick and get the input lag down to 1ms like ALL gaming mice and playstation controllers then it really wouldn't have any competition when buying a controller for fps games. PlayStation definitely offers more accessories for wider variety of games.
Have strange feeling while using Xbox controller that thumsticks are more loose than Dualsense ones, hate this feeling. Maybe it's because of absence of anti friction rings, weird.
The Xbox controller ergonomics is genius and for me it is 100 times more comfortable to hold than the PS controller. Unfortunately, in this gaming gen, all the Xbox controllers suffer from a terrible face buttons responsiveness which forcing you to click hard and exactly in the middle or otherwise it won't work from time to time.
The face buttons could be so much better on the Xbox . The dualsense ones are pretty much as good as it gets. Firm and responsive. These jittery buttons are reminiscent of the first controllers.
@@RovexHD Recently, I started to use the Xbox one controllers which i still have and found out that the face buttons are much better than the new ones.
I've been on Xbox since the original and the One controller onwards have been my favorite. They fixed the ALMOST perfect 360s mush d-pad. But I'm ready to see Microsoft innovate it to the next level.
The elite series 2 controller is the best controller to me in comfort and having 4 back buttons is game changing. I will always prefer the offset sticks of xbox controllers over DS controller even if I have been more of a sony fanboy since the ps1 days.
Which Xbox controller would you recommend with a super low polling rate I already tried the gambit but the thumb sticks were horrible for me any other one you have in mind thanks in advance
Thrustmaster E swap S pro, Had mini switch D pad/Face buttons, has two mappable buttons underneath and has removable magnetic thumbsticks Incase you get stick drift, can buy a replacement for like $25, it's good for medium to large hands. 👍
Both are insanely comfortable imo. For me, I give the slight edge to Xbox in ergonomics, but the Dualsense is spoiling me with its features.
You pretty much just summarized the entire video 😂
@@GamerHeavenOfficial can you recommend any custom controller company PS4 or ps5 need it for pc gaming ?
@Brzozx aim is his preferred and he's loved by them fatty discount with stallions
I go back and forth on comfort, but I think I've now landed on DualSense, I think it's just the feel of the plastic that I prefer, feels thicker.
@@didibusthat's what she said

Generally, I perform better without aim assist and using sticks+gyro, than using just sticks and aim assist. The responsiveness and precision is much closer to a mouse.
Not every PS5 game has gyro aim (some have it but it’s not done well), and on PC the gyro can emulate mouse input which feels fantastic.
Oh shit, I forgot to mention the six axis gyro feature. Good point , a lot of gamers love that feature
For emulators it's so good. You can play a lot of games that require motion controls a lot better
ds4 does it too
Great comparison. Congrats on nearly 80k, well deserved 👊
Thank you Sam, it looks like it’s gonna happen in a couple hours, I’m
Super excited.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial awesome. Btw I bought the Gulikit controller off the back of your review, have been really pleased with it so far - so cheers!
@@SamsMotorsI'm a bit late but which model of Gulikit?
I love both, I do find the dualsense to be a little bigger than I'd like it to be. It still feels super comfy but it's maybe set a bit wide for my tastes. I feel like the Xbox controller sets my hands into the "it's go time" position, where the dualsense is more chill.

@@GamerHeavenOfficial No worries! Love the videos man!
I always loved Xbox controller more, but I also really love my dualsense and Edge. They just feel great in hand. Waiting for a better built Elite 3.
Thats just my opinion at the end of the day I love both in their own way💚💙
Thank you for sharing your experience. There’s a ton of great information in your comment
Well said
yo gamer heaven, your videos are so well done, super informative, great editing, but mostly, for me… just blimey entertaining!
Thank you my friend, that means a lot
For real
Love them both for different games, Duel Sense for fighting games like Tekken, Street Fighter etc and immersive indie games, except for MK12, Xbox for driving games and everything else.. I've personally stopped using standard controllers and prefer DS Edge and Elite V2, Thanks for the video dude ✌️
My pleasure man. See you next time , and thanks for sharing. I use different controllers for different games sometimes too
I prefer the playstation for driving games, with the adaptive triggers you can really feel when the brakes lock up and when the wheels start to spin
The G7 is unbeatable at its price of $40-45. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the fine people
I love what you're doing, though I'm not surprised by the results commonly being a tie or unfair to judge.
In Europe retailers are obligated to give you at least 2 years warranty on all electronics. It's weird that you get only 3 months for xbox controllers
Probably also why xbox controllers never go on sale here
damn its rough for warranties in the US huh? In the UK/EU its a legal requirement that everything (electronics) has a year as a standard and it resets when you receive a new item if it had to be replaced/repaired.
Yeah it’s pretty crappy
I want a Anti Xbox Controller - Asymmetrical Layout - With the R3 over top the (‘Square, Triangle, O, X’ / ‘X, Y, B, A’) and the D-Pad above the L3.
That^ or
A Anti PlayStation Controller - Symmetrical Layout - With both Thumbsticks towards the top of controller on the front.
Is there a DSX for PC tutorial as mentioned @ 1:54 ?
what's your best controller, in your personal opinion, like what are you using now, or what would you use for pc. i have the dual sense, i have the dualsense edge, and the xbox eswap pro.
31:22 is the video up or not ? couldnt find it anywhere
Lmao love the sword and sandals crys at 1:12
I wonder if the input lag difference has something to do with the protocol used.
Adaptive triggers and foldable phones are the coolest hardware inventions I have experienced in a long time
Is there any difference other than cosmetic, between Microsoft Series X controllers with different release dates? I notice alot of the fancy coloured ones have newer releases compared to the black or white ones.
I watch these videos not to learn about the controllers but laugh my ass off. You crack me up every time.
I love you
As a series x owner, and a (not amazing but pretty darn good) competetive FPS gamer, I hands down choose to use the PlayStation controller for one very specific reason.
Wish the sticks were offset :(
I'm just here because the overclock on ds5 is so nice to play with on pc, feels more snappy
DualSense>>>Everything else. It truly has upped the controller standards from here on out. Just needs better battery life.
true, the deal breaker for me is its non-removable battery and shorter battery life than the xbox controller.
I find Dualsense controllers to be extremely spongy and laggy, definitely notice that deadzone.
Being a call of duty head, that snipe @ 2:03 was ridiculous 😭😭😭😭🤦♂️
After gaming on both for over a year the PS5 controller is very nice but strains my thumbs, painfully even. The smaller asymmetrical Xbox layout let's your fingers rest in more natural position and it makes you more accurate too. Shame bc the PS5 features are awesome
May I ask I you have slightly “smaller” hands 🙌. I am curious because of how uncomfy the ds is for you
I mean I feel like you’re spitting facts. Sony has innovated, Xbox has (barely) iterated. DualSense has more features and is more responsive. Hoping Xbox doesn’t wait until next gen to bring more updates to their offering.
anybody know what this game is? 3:01 I love how the gun mechanics look, I wanna try it so bad
It’s the last of us part 1 on ps5
great vid man! I was just wondering if the pdp ps5 controller works with the brook wingman xb
Let me try and I’ll get back to you. Actually I’ll probably make a short form video actually testing and showing
Great video. Agree with mostly everything but I gotta give it to dualsense it has way too many features to ignore.
Xbox 360 best controller of all time
Not with that horrible dpad
My opinion owning both:
Xbox controllers feels great with the weight and surface grippy feeling.
I don't have a favorite but the X box controller has easily replaceable batteries therefore contribute less to ewaste, but only by a little.
I noticed you didn't mention it, probably because the market share is even smaller than mac, but I can confirm dualsense works just fine in linux as well, lol
Xbox I have no idea about...
i like both personally, i'm getting more familiar with my xbox elite 2 controller as well. But this was a really good and interesting video. keep it up.
Love Xbox comfort and batteries but the dual sense features and QC are great. Wish they'd combine lol
I’ve always liked Sony controllers because I have smaller hands.
I also like the symmetrical analog sticks.
tbh XBox and PS's different analog stick + d-pad layout doesn't make difference. yeah it is different. gamecube had xbox style layout too but I really don't notice the QOL difference. what bother me is that xbox and nintendo have different ABXY layout. for example emulation, I use playstation controller because Triangle, Circle, Cross, Square, these are easier to convert to ABXY in my head.
Dude I always love your comments! Thank you for sharing your experience, and I fully agree with your points
@@GamerHeavenOfficial Man I love the fact you love my comments! I also love your videos! They are just superb! :D
Never used a Dual Shock 6 axis, or the Xbox Duke, but imo the controllers best to least: PS5> PS4> XBs> XBone> XB360> DS3> *DS6a> PS2> XBcs> *OG XB
I hate seeing advertisements on the Xbox home screen I turn my Xbox on and the ads load before the game icons.
Which one has better DPAD for TEkken 8? DS4 or XBOX series X?
Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 with the small dual paddles in the back as bumper buttons is the best. PS5 controller feels chuncky and the friction I feel on the triggers is just annoying, the vibration and gyro is cool though. I hope the Elite 3 controller gets the gyro feature, specially when I'm playing switch and wii games.
Xbox thumbstick tops are too small for me. Xbox controller is more comfortable in my hands however. But overall because of wider thumbstick tops gives me better control, the dualsense wins.
whats your favourite custom controller?
I love the shape of the dualsense. Always hated how my fingers lay directly over the triggers of the xbox controller
Hi there brother. Can you also use the Xbox wireless controller to play Android & emulator games?
The only reason I went with PlayStation over Xbox back in the day is because the Xbox controller was never comfortable to me with that big battery pack in the back.
Don't worry brother.. You Sir have yourself a new subscriber! Gz
*Nice video- skills also btw!
Would love to see you review one of these BEITONG Asura 2 Pro
In general the xbox is slightly more comfy. Though in terms of stock play the playstation default allows for insane claw mechanics in any game.
Did you switch, am also looking to Mby get a Xbox scuf, I have a ps5 scuf but not sure if I like the Xbox one. If you change was it worth
I did buy an xbox controller, but sold it next day, I can't stand clicky controllers@@henrikteigen3502
I never liked the clicky cheap sounding buttons for the Xbox so that's why I even use a DualSense for my Series S.
Nope, the buttons should be colored on the stock.
(fun fact: you can play sonic the hedgehog games on genesis with the same joystick as well, though you have to use the genesis gamepad first to start the game, then switch, because the atari had the start game controls on the console itself)
personally I think even for 3d games symmetrical works better, because most of the time, your thumbs are going to be on the right thumbstick adjusting the camera as you move, only turning to the abxy or XO[]/\ for jumping or reloading.
Well I don't like staggerd sticks so pretty easy choice
Can anyone suggest what controller to buy for laptop? Im planning to buy for my steam games

Recently, I started to use the Xbox one controllers which i still have and found out that the face buttons are much better than the new ones.
if xbox had side by side thumbsticks id be happy. besides the xbox ui the controllers is a huge decision factor to me.
Akkevin is the best love this guy
Watching this after getting a series controller for my laptop makes me slightly regret everything...maybe i should return it
Which Xbox controller would you recommend with a super low polling rate I already tried the gambit but the thumb sticks were horrible for me any other one you have in mind thanks in advance
Thrustmaster E swap S pro, Had mini switch D pad/Face buttons, has two mappable buttons underneath and has removable magnetic thumbsticks Incase you get stick drift, can buy a replacement for like $25, it's good for medium to large hands. 👍
