The amount of times I've been screwed out of switching from Qiqi to Kazuha cannot be counted, it is infinity.

@@darylewalker6862 as someone who plays the small characters a lot, it does. I think it has to literally do with their height. If you grab a character that can walk under a small gap and then try to swap to a taller character, the game doesn't let you. In combat, if you somehow nudge your tiny character in the wrong spot under a larger enemy, the game will straight up refuse to let you swap until you move aside. It's really annoying, I've also gotten it with kokomi multiple times for some reason
@@darylewalker6862 basically as the person above me said, it's because something is above you. You can get into small gaps that a tall character can't get into, and the game can't switch you back until you're in an area that character can reach. The other comment explains it better though.

Every nation has an overworked character in governance like Mondstadt has Jean, Liyue has Ganyu and Keqing, and apparently, even Inazuma has one in Kamisato Ayato.

For Inazuma, it was Kokomi. For Sumeru, the only one that could fit is Layla, cuz Alhaitham likes to not take life seriously when he doesn't need too.
I actually think they were almost onto something with one of the events recently. The swordfighting one with parrying. I’m hoping that’s a test run for a game mode down the line, because not only was it kinda fun on its own, but I thought it had the potential to be optimised into something really cool. The problem is that it’ll probably just be another temporary event and they’ll never add any new permanent (combat) game modes or a stable endgame. I know lots of people like this game for things like the scenery, teapot and cute events like the flowerpot event, but a lot of people also like the game for combat, and that’s where the game makes most of its money, so it’s really important that this problem gets sorted soon, or else the playerbase is going to drop drastically and they won’t be able to recover from the current slump.
I agree, when I stumbled upon that island and began reading through the tutorial my first instinct was to scream "OH MY GOD THEY ARE DOING DARK SOULS",
so yeah would be pretty awesome if this game had difficulty that went beyond just giving enemies too much health.
I still hope the traveler learn sword counter skill like in that event. Will make the traveler the best character to me.
Sadly, it is like that. Which is why I explore and play other games for the features that Genshin does poorly in. One that I am expectant for is Wuthering Waves with the type of combat you may enjoy and developed by the caring dev company of Kuro Games.

At 5:10 @Tectone I believe he meant that for new players of the game. Getting new characters (ex. Itto, Miko, or Yelan) that just came out have their ascension materials locked behind hours of grind and story. Love your content and will always support you.

Ots surprising that tectone doesn't know that there's a cool down between switching characters that stops u from swiching too frequently and sometimes makes u end up ded
Getting stuck in a corner unable to switch characters happens so incredibly often to me regardless of their size. Big/bulky enemies will just box you in and lay into you without you being able to see what is going on (bcs in a corner), do any dmg (bcs can't see where skills are going or better, you climb up a wall but still can't jump over them) or switch characters. Death is the only option at those times.
This was great! I'd love to see more reactions to stuff that isn't drama in the future. It's nice to have a lighthearted, fun video every now and again.
Genshin really should do quests for characters for when they first get their vision, i'll take that over hangouts

surely everyone feels immersive having to decorate flower pots taking pictures of flowers and eventually going out with a dog, although the last one is damn good.
Theory: what if paimon is like a camera for that unknown God. Keeping a look out for why the traveler does.
That would make sense. The unknown God is theorized to be a guardian of the “Heavenly Principles” of the world, and so making sure Aether doesn’t break them on his journey will be of her interest.
I hope that if Genshin reaches end game all of the other characters come back into the story. Because I feel like once character quests are done they are never seen again just mentioned in dialogue

I mean what's even the point of going to each nation in every archon quest we learn nothing about our sibling only the dain quest really have made any progress on our whole reason for this journey
After We will be reunited quest, the point is not looking for the Abyss twin anymore since we know they not lost each other anymore, right now it'll be focus on the destruction of Khaenriah, why the Abyss twin on their side, and since all the archons participate in the destruction on Khaenriah, we have to meet them
Because now that we've learned our twin is on the supposed "evil" side or whatever, we have to learn /why/ they chose that path.
We need Tectone to do more content like this! React to videos like this or react to genshin impact lores and theories. It's just my opinion

Genshin in a nutshell, fun for 3-5 months after it’s just grind
honestly for a free game to be fun for that long considering you logged in quite frequently its quite the feat. problem is they want this to last for 10yr?? maybe more since they just stretch the story to the sun and back with 0 plot progression...and the whole gacha 50/50 and resin just suck. Imo genshin works as a single player game to play the main story and quest and general exploration and after ya finish that ya dip out for months/years for an actually fun experience

Personally, I'm a free-2-play player in Genshin and managed to get good characters including like 2 5-stars ones. And I only started like 5 months ago.
I don't need to pay to enjoy, I have characters I like and the story is the other big reason I play the game for.

Sure I would like to be able to get the characters I want, but it's just wrong to literally tell others that you should spend money on a free game. 2:06 probably referring to how when you switch off characters their burst cancels... (Klee, Itto etc...)
They mean that u literally cannot switch into a taller character if your character model (usually the smallest ones) is right next to bigger a model to avoid whatever dumb hitbox coded to prevent collision
There is a bug from launch, if a short char is underneath a tall mob, switching does not work properly.

YT just randomly suggested this reaction, I don't know you, but from other comments I gather that it's pretty well known you're not a Genshin fan, so I'm not commenting on that part; I may not fit in here. I still think some of the things said are somewhat stupid, so I'm going to point them out anyway.
I admit I'm a GI player and I like the story, even with its flaws (trust me, I can even name some that most people don't care about, because I'm a lore-nag), but it is still well-thought out enough to overcome those flaws, since they mainly hinge on »Why would you trust Paimon?« and similar questions, which can be somewhat rationalized, especially since it's a game and you gotta move around the world. You don't actually have a better option to look for your lost sibling, because you got no clues, so where to start? And you don't know anyone, so why not trust the first person you met? Otherwise, trust no one then? That's basically my thoughts regarding basic-story problems.
Overall, the video that's being reacted to is relatable and funny, but I wouldn't actually judge the game that badly.

In the end, if you don't want to pay money, GI is fair enough to give you some for free. You can even play most of the game without ever pulling a 5-Star, and trust me, I got my first few 5-Stars without paying a dime. I started paying when I wanted to get certain characters, but I don't blame the game for giving me the option to pay, because I could still play for free. I'm already a huge spender in my own eyes, just because I pay 10 bucks for Gnostic Hymn and 5 bucks for ... whatever the daily primo option is called in the english version - the Moon's blessing, I guess? Well, whatever. I don't know why people would spend 500 Dollars on a character. I may have spent more than a 100 in the (almost) year that I've been playing, but I haven't bought any other new game in the meantime and probably ran it for hundreds of hours. Let's say I've only played 600 hours (on the Hoyolab-App, you can check your active days, not runtime - which means, since I've reached 300 days today, that I have logged in on 300 individual days, and for every day I've only logged in once to collect the blessing that I've paid for or to do daily quests, there's many other days I've spent 8 to 12 hours playing), spending 200 € on it would meen I've paid one Euro per 3 hours of gameplay. I've paid more than that for games with the same runtime on steam and dozens of games I've never even played in the end.
Right now, I want to make sure I get Kazuha during Update 2.8. I really want that character, so I'm saving the primos and fates I get. Of course, I already said I paid for blessings and for the BP, but I didn't safe up a lot before this version updated, without the BP, for example, and still ended up pulling a lot. If I hadn't pulled, I'd have more now, without paying. Of course they would want to gain something, they have to invest a lot, pay their people and want to get a little more out of it, too. I don't think one should critisize that, as it is absolutely normal. The point is, again, if you have any kind of self awareness and self restraint, you won't pay money if you don't have it or simply don't want to spend it. Or are you actually arguing that just because the option is given, it is so excrutiating that you might have to wait a little longer to get a character you want, that you simply HAVE to pay? Because that would be ridiculous.
I'm actually saying this, becuase I've heard it a lot of times. I have rarely seen a game this fair from the gacha-category, also none with a story and gameplay this fun and characters that I actually liked. Do I like everything about this game? No. Do I love every character? Hell, no. Do I think Mihoyo (or Hoyoverse, as they are called now) does everything right in every aspect? Again, no.
But I also don't think it deserves to be shitted on, just because it's a gacha-game and there's people whining about how they couldn't get fucking Xiao without paying for it.
