This actually made me love the game even more, because it really is like this 100% and that makes it just more hilarious. Also the last bit of the traveler been a twitch streamer, is because Zach Aguilar the EN voice of Aether, actually streams on twitch as many others of the voice actors from Genshin, each of them have an account in Genshin and play other games together sometimes.
The "2 gods in Liyue" part is so funny because it's actually worse in the lore. There were MULTIPLE and then one either killed them off or sealed them with rocks. We don't even really know the specific number. Not really a spoiler really it's just kinda background knowledge. Liyue just has the highest number of dead/defeated gods so far for some reason.
Coop use to be worse actually. You couldn't talk to any npcs at all. Not even the alchemy table worked. Now it's been improved where you can talk to the Katheryne or use the crafting bench. I think the blacksmith too.
The last time you're required to go do mostly unrelated quests before you can continue the Archon quests is fairly early in Inazuma, and by then you will also be high enough in AR that you won't be locked by that either, so you should be able to play through the Archon quests uninterrupted from that point. Can't wait for you to get through Inazuma for multiple reasons, but take your time. You getting burnt out on the game is likely the last thing any of us would want
I’m ok with him getting burnt out. There’s better games that he would be way more into like Nier Automata. Genshin is fine but there’s A LOT of nothing that happens in that game. The quests, dialogue, and exploration are all very time consuming and if he ever wants to play other games, he’s never gonna be able to do them as long as he’s set on continuing Genshin. I mean, imagine him trying to get through the Aranara quest line. That alone will take so many streams.
Tbh, for his reactions, I mostly just care about the story and pulls, ideally I'd love for the stream time to only be dedicated to that, but not if that means he'll burn himself out on it and never get through it

Paimon has killed more Travelers than any monster in the game, bosses included. Excluding KO'ing them with boredom during her dialogue. Maybe she _is_ the Unknown God. (no, she's not)

I agree to reacting to Max0r's genshin vids (there's 2). His take is pretty hilarious but be ready for info overload if you do try to react to it. As for the story in Genshin, I'm sure folks have already told you, but the early story is pretty mid at best until you start making your way to Inazuma. That's about where the story starts picking up. Even the character story quest ramp up in quality from that point. AR40 is essentially the hard cap for all the Genshin content. Once you get there, it's smooth sailing from there... until AR55 that is. I'll leave that as a mystery... hehehe...

Yeah the worse part of genshin's story is the long running dialogue. Sumeru's story is easily some of the best in the series but ima be honest, the dialogue is a chore to get through at some points. While the story gets so much better from where u are, the issues u have with them havent changed so its understandable if u cant get thru the story after inazuma or sumeru..

Liked the game for a while but was disappointed that as a F2P you couldn't realistically get even 1 copy of each unit. The 1st year anniversary was a HUGE letdown. The game earned billions upon billions to the point they didn't know what to do with their money and what did we get as a reward, eh like a 10 pull, like are you for real? Came back like a month later and played until Yae Miko's banner ended and I in the end failed the 50/50 and got my first Qiqi instead. The amount of banners I had to skip as someone that is used to play games where you can get 1 of each character and that's with me doing every single main story quest, side story quests and event, no matter how drawn out and unskippable they were for a mere half pull, heck I even skipped most of the guys save for Childe, Zhongli and getting 2 of the edgy spear mask boy in under 20 pulls. Came back for Yelan rerun and then decided to complete dendro region and the side quests(oh god fuck the small plant creatures, that questline was like 8 fucking hours of pure torture!)
Actually Luke, The Genshin story is meh (mediocre at best) until Inazuma, from Sumeru the story goes up a lot in terms of storytelling, and Fontaine has the best story until now in my opinion.
