Every time I have a curry, I get a spike in the amp envelope on my low frequency oscillator. If I wiggle around a bit, I get an impressively complex pitch envelope. I won’t even go into how I increase the resonance. I find a bit of bowl reverb often adds a nice touch.
so basically each of the sliders determines the amount of time it takes for each of those effects to take place, like attack and release for example, does anyone know what the number of seconds would be exactly when the sliders are at the top? Is that amount universal to all synths are do they vary? also are tutorials like these good for using VST synths that don't use keyboards but just include the tools needed to shape a sound (amp, LFO, filter etc.) I would greatly appreciate advice or clarification on this stuff, just got into synth production recently:)
I don't think there is a standard length for how many seconds the sliders represent, i think it differs for each synth! But yes you can use these tutorials for VST synths or any synth that has similar controls.
There is one misleading explanation: DECAY is NOT the max value the signal will have until it fades to the SUSTAIN value. DECAY is the TIME the signal takes to go from 100% to the SUSTAIN value. ATTACK, DECAY and RELEASE are time units (expressed in seconds) SUSTAIN is a value (0 to 100%)
Very helpful thanks. And no showing off or “comedy” like usually feature on any music instrument video!
Great. You speak clearly and your thoughts are very fluid and to the point. Thanks.
The whole series is indeed very informative and helpful! Thanks.
these are so incredibly helpful thank you so, so much
Grace Spelman thank you!

Thanks again for your patience..
Great tutorial!!! Regards from Mexico!!!

This comment just made me realize why having a quicker attack is at the bottom of the slider rather than the top. This has always confused me.
very helpful thank you!!!
Great tutorials!
“... and this is what it sounds like “ .. EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRR
omg thank you so awesome

You are explain nicely thank u brother good bless you keep it up...
Great videos, but I would imagine the sheet music for translating this would be atrocious..😁
by the way, thank you for making sure me..
right , I know, what is different (how to use a synth). if you making sure like that. it will be take time my friend.
